It appears Sledgehammer Games will be working on another Call of Duty project in the near future according to a job listing on Gamasutra. The job post says, ” We are actively recruiting top talent for our Call of Duty development team.” The job post is for a Senior Online Engineer in Foster City, California. The post goes on to say “Sledgehammer Games is looking for an exceptional online engineer to help bring our online experience to a new level. The candidate will be involved in the creation of multiplayer game modes and online community features for an unannounced high-end console title.”

No word yet if they are combining the efforts again with Infinity Ward for the next “Modern Warfare Game” in 2013 or if it’s for their original 3rd Person Call of Duty Project that was canceled when work was switched over to MW3. We’ll keep you posted once we hear anything new.

3rd person COD is an awful idea. I hope they don’t do that!
