Every story has a beginning…

For the last several weeks, you’ve seen the reveal of Origins, information and art become available through our #LettersFromTheField photo album, as well as the official intro cinematic, featuring “Shepherd of Fire” from Avenged Sevenfold. Now, it’s time to bear witness to the most horrifying Zombies experience yet.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops II Apocalypse, Treyarch deploys players to a Dieselpunk-stylized World War I-era France where they will encounter the return of the four original heroes from the very first Zombies map, as well as hordes of zombies that have overrun trenches and fields, as well as the ruins of a mysterious and ancient location.

…and an end.

  • Probably shouldn’t have had my volume all the way up, with my headphones on in the beginning. My ears are bleeding, but I enjoyed it.

Origins can be the best map ever

    neat video.
Pity they had to use shite music.

This is a link to the ending cutscene for Origins and in my honest opinion, Treyarch is now dead to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_0X0ervI5Y

      Good job spoiling shit.

YYYeeeaaaahhh, it was my first time posting a youtube link I was unaware of the fact that it also posts the thumbnail. Sorry about that.

        • Mitch

Oh ok, I’m srry for my reaction. I would suggest you only post the /watch part and put SPOILERS in front of it

          • Trizay

            Thx for the advice.

Are we ignoring the fact that these kids have crazy ass imaginations?

    • Siftblade of Rivia

This isn’t the end of the zombies, btw. Just because Samantha created a game out of it, doesn’t mean zombies don’t exist in her reality.

      • Trizay

Yeah, there is some speculation going around. Either way even if it’s not the END to zombies I still think it was poor ending on Treyarch’s part.

        • Siftblade of Rivia

Agreed. This ending has been hinted at since kino. When you come back from the teleporter, you appear in her room and there are action figures of the 4 characters. I think they could’ve done a much better job. Do you know the Cornellious Pernell theory? If you do, the following idea would make sense. Imagine completing the easter egg, and there is a badass cutscene where the O4 just destroyed the giant robot with the staves. Then, there is a freeze frame and the image becomes kinda like a sketch. Pages begin to flip and you get to see images of the O4 in all their previous maps the maps in order. Starting at Origins, then nacht, verruckt, etc. (skipping the ones with the Tranzit crew, MOTD, COTD, and five) The camera zooms out and you see a two hands, one holding a pencil. The camera continues to zoom out until you see a shadowy figure, sitting on a chair in front of a desk. Only his hands are visible because of the one lamp aimed at the desk. He closes the comic book showing the cover of the book, labeled Origins (not the map, it refers to the origins of all zombies and how they came to their world. Cornellious’ reality is 800 years in the future, zombies already exist, nobody knows where they’re from, so he made a comic book with what he thinks happened) puts down the pencil, and walks out of the room.
