Activision has uploaded the manuals for Call of Duty: Ghosts for all platforms, including the PS4. The PS4 manual shows that you the new touchpad on the PS4 will be used to bring up the leaderboards.

And, the R2 and L2 button will be used to fire and aim; the R1 and L1 will be used for equipment.

Can we change the R2, L2 and R1 L1 buttons to the ps3 variation?

    • Nathan

      Probably yes

    • Yeezus

Yes but you won’t want to. Trust me they work really well on ps4

      • Korflock

Trust me, other people have different preferences.

      • Plokijuh1229

I can’t. I imagine you can switch back. I hold the controller differently in a way that does not work with using the triggers for shooting.

      • Michael King

How would you know? Have you played a Playstation 4?

    • Siftblade of Rivia

If you want, but from what I’ve heard, the other way is better. I’ll try it both ways.

      • eeee

u said u try both ways lol

        • PsychOutGaming

          ??

    • Misogynist

I have a PS4 controller and it works SO well

      • Xecho

Does the touchpad work for leaderboards? And does the PS button work too?

        • Misogynist

The PS button and the touchpad do not work :/. And the controller always has to be plugged in

    • Go to settings.
      Click down to controls
      And choose “button lay out”
      then
use the L/R d pad buttons until you see
      the “Shitty” control scheme.

  • Chris

Essentially just a huge “Select” button. Way to go devs! -_-

    • Siftblade of Rivia

Actually it’s a changing button. Sometimes it’s select, sometimes it’s the map, sometimes quicktime events, and probably a bunch more when they learn how to fully utilize the PS4 and DS4.

      • Xecho

But there aren’t any quicktime avents in Ghosts actually. Just a load of button smashing to move an object or something of the kinds. I wouldn’t really call it quicktime event

        • Siftblade of Rivia

I meant in other games. I’m sure there are quicktime events in story.

    • JustFag

Yes, this game, that is going to be on 6 systems, 360,PS3,PS4,PC,X1, and Wii U, should have gimmicks for all new features!

      • TAKANYAN

Actually the Wii U version is good for split screen since the second player uses the game pad. The touch screen while playing alone is helpful and not gimmicky.

  • Judens Claude

is the nom4d or charlie where u aim with r2 and shoot with r1 still available

    • ThatxGamer

you can always choose to change the settings in game

  • StuGotz

Treyarch will probably use the touchpad in a cool way, since they actually like to try new things.

  • exeterman2

I hope that the r2 and l2 buttons are less mushy than ps3 and Xbox 360

    • Xecho

      They soooo are

      • The_warford

How to i get my stick layout so when I look up it goes up not looking down

        • Jeroen

          I have the same

  • Ryumoau

not sure i like the new touchpad thing.

  • Ps3 DonAntonio99

wtf is with the L2 R2 L1 R1 button layout, and i thought that slide would be th right stick, oh wewll guess i got some configuration to do

    • Siftblade of Rivia

Slide was always on circle, people just changed it to R3 so they could dropshot.

  • Im excited for the 2015 COD. It will be the first actual Next gen cod. 2014 and treyarchs first go at next gen should be cool, but i garruntee 360 ps3 is still supported :/

    • Siftblade of Rivia

It’s not the first next gen COD. The first truly next gen COD will only be on next gen and will not be restricted by PS3-360.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you sadly can’t mute individual people ingame. Maybe with the new technology they’ll realize that they can do way more stuff with it. Now that there is a touchpad, I bet they could use simple swipe gestures scroll leaderboards and mute individuals and do all that fun stuff you could do in the leaderboards in BO2. Just a thought.
