  1. Let’s think about this for a second….
    1. It’s free
    2. It’s cod, which most of us like
    3. It’s got maps from the majority’s favourite 2 cods, cod4 and MW2
    4. Now has Zombies

Why can’t the rest of the world get this good stuff!?

      • It looks awesome though! I’m chinese living in America, too bad I’m not in China playing and waiting for this game 😐 It doesn’t look like a P2W though, but only microtransactions like the ones in GTA Online probably.

        • It not a matter of what is intended. The ability to buy stuff in a free to play game is just how most of the time it ends up after a while/ Look at UUST 514 for the PlayStation 3. That game is impossible to play without paying for something. The only way micro-transaction don’t make a game one sided.is if the only stuff they sell is not proformance based items. No extrememly more powerful guns, armor, vehicles, etc. If they do any of that it is bound to become just like DUST 514 and become one sided. But if they just add stuff like maps or something to pay for later down the road, then it wouldn’t be to bad.

          • it probably wont become pay 2 win if they use the same formula as league of legends, you CAN pay a small fee for a new gun (5$) or you can grind it out for 1 hour and unlock the gun with in-game points.

        • Micro transactions that will end up making the game completly one-sided for anyone who pays money… Do you really think that they will make money only selling camos and the same things the console have been getting? I’m assuming they are just going to do the same thing as most other F2P games and sell OP guns

        • Yeah, these giant maps with numeroushhiding spots and in general camper friendly game gets boring quick. Getting killed by a camper who’s either camping with the dog or IEDs and ending your streak. Yeah it gets stale pretty quick. I even find black Ops 2 more fun to play now despite its flaws. I’d rather play a game where you’re able to rush and not worry about dying instantly.

          • yeah they made a bad move IMO sacrificing 18 players, i was looking forward to playing infected again but now it’s just no longer fun, huge maps with only 12 players, whats the point, extinction really isnt that great either really

          • It wasn’t a bad move it was a well thought out decision. The game has simply out grown last gen systems and neither the Xbox or PS had the power to handle 18 players.

          • like i said IMO it was a bad move, as with the lack of 18 players (which clearly must of been possible as we’ve had it the past few games) its completely put me off the game and its just shit for current gen

          • Previous editions were less graphically demanding on the console as CoD titles were made on Xbox 360 dev kits and ported over to PS and PC. Ghost was developed on movie grade computers and scaled down to suit each platform.
They probably could have gotten 18 players in but that would have compromised the frame rate to around 30fps, like Battlefield. So it’s either 18 players at 30fps or 12 players at 60fps, so they chose the lesser of two evils and went for 12 players.
With CoD being a twitch shooter there would have been more of an uproar about the frame rate, than only having 12 players. Xbox 360 is like 8 years old and just does not have the power to do both they could have made the graphics worse but last gen looks bad enough as it is.

          • It reminds me of turned. Super small maps with super fast speed but only 3 zombies and one guy alive.

            Really repetitive and boring.

          • i disagree really, turned was a flop on infected, given less players on 2 maps, it is shit, i really hoped for a zombiefied version of infected, but sadly the closest we got was turned which turned out to be garbage, infected and face-off are the only good things to come out of mw3

          • I don’t get you lot. Every year there’s something to Complain about. Some of them are understandable like the MP7 and ACR being the only ever used weapons in MW3, Bad hit detection, and hacks, but come on. The maps being too BIG? You die too quickly? This iteration has the best hit detection since MW2, even arguably better! We’ve gone 3 years without decent net code. Everybody has forgotten what it felt like. The guns need a tone down I agree, but if you’re good with a weapon, you’ll be able to easily take them down. and Ghosts maps are excellent. There’s no similar maps (Every god damn map in BO2 was the same. 3 lanes and areas that cut from the edges through the middle with usually two tower like structures in each teams base). In Most regards, this game plays mostly like MW2, down to the maps and weapons. With MW3’s art design. And funny enough MW2 won the 2009 GOTY.

          • I completely agree with your comment. I’m loving Ghosts after 3 years of laggy horrible boring games, Ghosts is great. Yes you do die quick but at least you don’t fill a guy with half a clip, only for them to turn around and kill you in two bullets. Well said sir, very well said.

  2. One way or another, Treyarch will provide this stuff for us in the next COD game anyway. No way is China going to hog all the good stuff.

  3. Please Activision, release this on PS4 and XB1… More money for you via micro transactions, more enjoyment for us. Win-win.

      • Xbox One and PS4 have x86 architecture and the only porting required would be for controller support and xbox live/psn integration. It wouldn’t be that hard.

          • The main issues with Chinese games isn’t the actual translating what you see in the screen, but the translating of what is behind the screen. More than half of the Chinese games are made with a dual-language keyboards which allow the mixing of both the Chinese and the QWERTY keys of a keyboard. While we make uses of each key for 1-3 symbols or letters, their keyboard’s keys can makes 4 symbols each and they use of both ALT+ shortcuts and auto-type synergies (like typing 2 symbols becoming another one totally different.)

If they were to “port” it outside of China, they would have to translate about every single bit of codes for those reasons :
            – Allowing on-site foreigner programmers to access the data, change the data and fix the data without having to keep that “25$/h” translator around 24/24h. (Imagine if each programmer ask a translator what “this” or “that” symbol means, when they have to work with around 2,000,000 lines of coding simultaneously?) Not allowing post-programmation to a software for foreigner’s adjustment would put the game on the kind which takes a year for a single patch to come in and works as intended. (A year including all the salaries and costs).

            – While every PC can get every “language” available (with a bit of a workaround), there is still the issues that Chinese OS systems aren’t managed the same way. In other words, the engine of the game would have to be translated and fixed to works with international standards. Anyone who have played a Chinese cheaply translated game (MMO) know that errors and crash are common issues. Whenever they try to look at what went wrong, they get untranslated error since the engine tried to communicate with unknown characters to the system which then got a false-positive response and make the game crash. (Either that or software anti-virus doesn’t “thrust” anything that come in or out of the game and it force the user in turning it off. Can even be the graphic card or the sound card that can’t render what it’s supposed to render.)

Some might find it hilarious, but there are some really great and professional Chinese programmers who don’t even understand English and whenever they code, they only uses parameters in English because they have to. They understand the meanings (uses) of the parameters, but not what it’s actually means if translated. (For example, they understand that “if” and “then” are for conditional parameters, but they couldn’t put those words in an English sentences at all)

  4. this looks interesting. As much as i like the campaign modes in the games, i think an online only mode might be the way to take the series in the near future over hear as well.

I can’t see them getting away with charging a full $60 every year for too long. I just hope Treyarch handles the gameplay for it though, since BO2 was more fun to me than ghosts.

  5. I’ve got some background story for this cod so get ready for some knowledge. Prety much in China and generally Asia a console was not allowed enless you bought it from the grey market (a.k.a. black market). So here and some time this cod brought ALL cods of the past (cod4,[email protected], , MW2, blops, MW3, blops deuce) and connected them (sticked it all in one) and was made as an exclusive free cod for China and Asia that anyone can play(no need of grey market here get where this is going? ).So to make it better for these guys they gave them a zombies like mode and every one is happy. Now this game is NOT coming to any other country (got any of that China exclusive? ) so stop asking.

  6. Tell me what I have to do and I’ll try and get this game cos Ghosts aiin’t cuttin it for me right let alone for another whole year.

  7. We get crappy title updates and empty promises for fixes which should already be in the game, whilst China gets Robot Zombies…

  8. I dont quite understand how a free game can look WAY better than a $130 game( cod ghosts) and is only available to 1 country, where the majority of cods fanbase is based around usa and europe

    • What I’m guessing is that they are doing a ‘beta’ test for China (And since they just recently got the Video Game ban lifted, it’s no surprise), and once everything is fixed, polished, and finalized it will be moved to NA, SA, EU, and the rest of Asia for a set price.

      • When Ghosts was made the graphics were too much for even a high end PC to handle. They then toned down the graphics to suit what each platform could handle at 60fps. Mark Rubin stated this in an interview earlier in the year. I own this game for the PC and the graphics are epic.

  9. Robot Zombies??
    how?
what people added robot parts to zombies? How does that work?
Robots can NEVER be zombies at all, maybe if nanobots were put in the zombies.

  10. Oh look….They reskinned zombies and are charging for it…..Amazing.
Such a new…innovative idea….Where do they come up with such brilliance.
Leave it to a CoD franchise to reskin old shit and sell it to you for the same price.
    CoD’s been dead.
