Infinity Ward has posted the patch notes for the newest PS4/PS3 patch that was released last week.

    • Fixed a rare crash when attempting to launch a Hunted FFA match.

    • Fixed black screen issue that would occasionally occur in clan wars bonus playlist.
    • Fix for a rare bots crash.

Weapon Balancing

    • MSBS Range reduced.
    • MSBS no longer 2 shot kill to arms and lower legs (rewards accuracy).
    • Fire rate on MSBS and Burst Fire Attachment reduced.

Additional Fixes

    • Fix for past title entitlements not appearing properly.
    • Fixed issue that would occur when having hardline as last perk with specialist.
    • Fixed inconsistencies between SP and MP for a few patches and backgrounds.
    • Fixed rare issue with blinking objects (IED, SAT COM) if player left shortly after using.
    • Added no enemy callouts to incog perk description.
    • Fixed an issue where connecting to a Squads game could potentially see the buttons/title for an incorrect Squad mode.
    • Menu optimization for clan wars.
    • Fix for going to the store from the create-a-soldier menu.
    • Fixed incorrect indexing of perks with squads that had defined loadouts.
    • Fixed bots so they can open doors (Warhawk/Freight).
    • Fix for splitscreen issue when going to the store.
    • Blitz bug fixes.
    • Host migration timer bug fixes.
    • Fix for potentially not showing the in game “controller removed” popup.
    • Fixed splitscreen UI bug where the dom capture bar would be in the way of the reticle.
    • Fixed a couple bugs with the new icon.
    • Fix to clear unlock data when leaving post game lobbies to prevent seeing online unlock in offline modes and vice versa.
    • Added scrolling animation to social feed ticker.
    • Fix to validate reticle type even when switching sights.
    • Fixed long pause when enabling eSports mode after returning from non-eSports game mode.
    • Fixed a bug where the bomb planting bar would flash when spectating someone who planted the bomb earlier in the match.
    • Added icon to indicate bomb carrier on scoreboard in eSports mode.
    • Fix for sound issue when seeker explodes.
    • Fix for final escape being broken by player jumping off cliff after nuke activation.
    • Fix for drill disappearing when grabbing the drill after using SOFLAM.
    • Fixed unlimited weapon glitch in first contact.
    • Fixed animation issue when pressing RT before riotshield was out.

    In my opinion the ak-12 should be nerfed instead of the msbs which actually requires skill , if your first burst is not on target your most likely going to die . Give the ak-12 a bit more of a kick and it will be perfect .

      exactly, the ak-12 is by far the most overpowered weapon in call of duty history.

      when ever you suffer a b.s. kill, watch the kill cam, 90% of the time it’s the ak-12.

      that’s why you see everybody run it. msbs, sucked at range, and now they nerfed the range even more.

      not only that, it’s a burst weapon with a slow rate of fire. it rewards accuracy, and has the most recoil.

      with the ttk of this game so low, you have to be really good with it. just because someone mastered the hardest gun in the game doesn’t make it op, and because your cheap ass tactics of quick draw ak-12 doesn’t work because an msbs gunner got a 3 burst head shot on you, doesn’t mean its overpowered.

        The fact that had high ROF per burst, decent ROF between bursts, good enough recoil control to hit all three shots at medium range (and able to pull off that addtional burst at longer ranges), AND was a two hit kill for an okay distance. Sounds pretty overpowered to me.

      Along with that, now that the MSBS has been sorted, something should be done about the AK-12, both its damage and silenced range. The amount of people running around using it with a Silencer and a Foregrip is ridiculous, probably due to people like TmnarTn and Ali-A listing it as their favourite loadout.

          Just because it has a slow fire rate doesn’t mean it’s balanced in any way whatsoever. The silenced range and silenced damage are ridiculous, and the slow fire rate only complements that further.

          “OP” doesn’t mean a gun has a good fire rate. There are so many more factors. If they were to add more recoil and lower the silenced range and/or damage, it would be fine. But at the moment, it is overpowered despite the slow fire rate.

            it has a bad fire rate and very bad hip fire due to slow fire rate. which even if complements the mid to far range engagements, is no good when hip firing. so its good when afar from target but shit in close range. get an smg or a shotgun, problem solved. nuff said.

            Hipfiring and fire rate are never the main factors, you’re completely disregarding damage. With or without a silencer, its range and damage are still ridiculous. Even in close range, it works well.

            Also, I thought you hadn’t played Ghosts since week 2 anyway? Or have you been playing again in the last week, and gained enough experience to judge whether this is good or not?

            Look kid, a “bad” fire rate never makes a gun bad. If anything, it makes it better particularly for Ghosts, given the long range maps. It is overpowered, especially when silenced, and it needs to be sorted.

            Either way, you should see the scale it’s being used at at the moment. Every match will have at least 3 people using the AK-12, and it really is overpowered now. You’re in no position whatsoever to be saying it’s balanced if you haven’t used it for a month.

            Actually the dude is right. The AK 12 is horribly over powered due to its slow fire rate and if u run with silencer and grip your going to out class everything. I think they need to up the recoil and reduce the effect that grip and silencer does.

        I like the “quickscoping” in this game. More skill (No crosshairs, less autoaim). This is how I like to snipe. Not tap L1 then R1. Aim down sights, take half a second to adjust, then shoot.

          Oh, it’s no crosshairs all-around? I sometimes quickscope on Hardcore TDM when I’m bored of SMG-rushing (in all COD games). So to know that this year, no one gets a crosshair while sniping is surprising. Neat though.

          Please understand that it’s annoying for a player to go up against an enemy at close range with an SMG, only to be ‘Quickscoped’. Snipers should only be used for long range distances, or even medium range if using an ACOG or a scope with a low magnification. It’s people like you who ruined Black Ops 2 for me, don’t ruin Ghosts too.

            Did you read the same sentence that I wrote? I hated BO2 quick scoping. The QS were better than shotguns, it was ridiculous. In Ghosts, you can’t really quickscope. I said in it that I prefer the new way of sniping. You stay semi-far away, ADS, take a second to aim, then shoot. If someone pops up in front of you, you can try to quickscope but there’s no auto aim or cross hairs, so I usually just switch to my pistol.

    I have a question. I play this on PS4 and cannot access the in-game store to download my free ugly sweater camo. LOL All I am wondering is if anyone else has this issue. I read a few things about fixing issues getting tot he store, but I tried from the main MP menu and got nowhere.

    Next on the nerf list: Bulldog! A semi auto shotgun that has a fast fire rate and is a 1-2 shot kill, with decent range (especially with muzzle break). I played domination on flooded and apparently it’s very effective, because the other team wrecked me. They were a clan, and they were all using bulldogs. I shit you not. I raged so hard that I just had to turn off my console and cool down for half an hour before I could calmly play again without yelling at my screen.

        For a shotgun that’s a one shot kill, 300 RPM is high. Also, ever since TmarTn made that stupid video about the bulldog shotgun, everyone uses it (especially on cranked). It is almost impossible to find a game of cranked where someone doesn’t use the bulldog. Btw, yes. It should be nerfed. I never said it was a good gun, I’m saying it’s an OP gun that’s way too easy to use, especially since you die so fast in this game. You can be standing, ADS, and someone with a bulldog will turn a corner, pull their gun up, and shoot 3 shots before you can even move your scope.

          Oh wow you see it at least once in Cranked, you also see a shit ton of SMGs and LMGs and ARs and pretty much any gun.
          And wow a shotgun can kill a person in knifing range? What a shocking discovery, please inform me how that makes it OP in any sense of the word
          And if a gun isn’t good, how is it Overpowered? Wouldn’t it being OP make it, you know, OVER POWERFUL and thus good?
          How is a gun that loses at any range besides spitting distance, and can still lose to a knife, powerful much less Over powered?
          Seriously shotguns used to have a MINIMUM range larger than the Bulldogs MAXIMUM range.

          Stop confusing how annoying something is to how powerful it actually is

Statistically speaking, the MSBS wasn’t the most powerful gun in Ghosts. But when you actually play, it WAS. If an enemy kills me and I have a chance to stop it. Okay, good kill. If an enemy kills me without me having a chance to stop it, fine, whatever. But when an enemy kills me before I can blink REPEATEDLY, then something is wrong. Especially with the ttk in this game. Now stop giving me numbers and stats that don’t matter, play the game, and you’ll understand why everyone hates getting killed by this gun. It is the most noob-friendly weapon. Someone with no skill can easily take you out with that gun.

            I play the game I only die to a shitgun on strikezone (and only in the bar area) or inside a building.
            It’s not that difficult to keep people 25 feet away.
            Someone with no skill can take you out with anything, especially those low recoil ARs that reward the lowest common denominator.
            A shotgun that is ONLY useful in spitting distance is not noob friendly, because you have to actually play smart so you don’t get killed at reasonable ranges.
            But then again you clearly don’t care about facts or the overall meta game because “Oh noes the big bad Bulldog killed me at a range a shotgun should”

            Yes it is good for that extremely short distance which IS LITERALLY WHAT SHOTGUNS ARE SUPPOSED TO DO. At 95% of engagements even the FP6 which has the longest range of any shotgun won’t even do damage, if you get that upset by it avoid CQC and keep long lines of sights and increase your Situational Awareness.

            You can think whatever gun is too good or not good enough, but when you cry out for action to be taken you make a claim, not hold an opinion.
            Even if you rush 25 feet is miniscule, again the smallest hallway on the smallest map is LONGER than 25 feet if you can’t use a gun that fires 2 to 3 times faster to kill someone who practically has to be in knifing range in order to just work then that is your fault not the Bulldogs

            If that’s impressive then any shotgun from previous CoDs (BO2 excluded) was a miracle. When it comes to semi auto guns the lower the worse, because no one will be able to actually maintain a 300 RPM. The average person can do well above 300 so what ends up happening is they oversample or press the button too fast which creates an artificial decrease in rate of fire, so you either oversample and reduce your RoF or just shoot slower, 300s the cap, not what most people will be firing at.
            And 18 feet is not impressive the muzzle break bulldog doesn’t even reach the end of the kitchen in Strikzone,Most engagements happen well outside that range.
            To give more perspective, if you have one person standing against the wall near the front entrance of the kitchen and you have one person standing right at the edge of the sink and fryer you just start to inflict any damage.
            Now let’s compare that to a stock Bizon
            Bison fires at 900 RPM
            And has a minimum range of 415.
            In the time in between shots with the bulldog the Bizon will fire 3 bullets. So those 4 shotgun shots equal to 12 bullets from an SMG.
            Oh yeah and the bulldog only has 6 rounds in a magazine.
            Will the shotgun win in that 18 feet? 90% of the time yes, which is what a shotgun does. Each classification of gun is supposed to be top in its intended ranges. And shotguns are supposed to dominate CQC it just happens CQC now means extremely close because IW gimped the ranges so bad

            But the fact of the matter is that it isn’t in every Call of Duty. It’s in Ghosts, and compared to the other guns in Ghosts it performs a bit too well for my (and many others’s) likings compared to other weapons in the game. Plus it suddenly makes Cranked and FFA argueably the most frustrating gamemodes to play since they dominate “CQC” . They really should have just put the S12 into the game and give in built-in long barrel.

            I’m fine with shotguns doing the best in close range, but I don’t like going up in close range against a Bulldog and being hopeless from the start.

            The S12 without LB was a 4 pellet kill up to 25 feet and had a fire rate of 468 rpm

            If that was the case (not that I’m doubting you) I wonder how it was so shitty in BOII. Regardless, I still believe the Bulldog needs some kind of nerf. Sure, the Bulldog looks balanced on paper, but don’t you thinks it’s just a little bit too ‘noob friendly’? Maybe just make the spread like the MTS hip-accuracy? Seeing as though most of the maps have a lot of CQC going on it just doesn’t seem like you have much of a chance against the Bulldog in most cases.

            S12 sucked because it was the worst shotgun in BO2 and considering MW3 had Stopping Power AKA damage for shotguns and they didn’t suck…post patch. The reason the Bulldog seems good is it has 17 minimum damage which is a 6 pellet kill whereas the S12 was a 6 damage minimum. IE the Bulldog is more reliable in a shorter distance, even though that distance is less than the S12.

            The bulldog is only “noob friendly” in that it is almost guaranteed to get at least one kill at extremely close range.
            Yet these low recoil fully automatic ARs and LMGs are significantly more user friendly.
            Rapid fire LMGs are amazing yet almost no one complains about them, why? Because people perceive guns that can one shot as being inherently OP, regardless of how bad they are. Even if a rapid fire LSAT has almost no recoil and fires at 900 rpm
            The MTAR-X is a 3-4 hit kill SMG, throw on RF and you have the BO1 FAMAS again, yet no one is complaining about that.
            People the AK is OP yet the R5 has better range and lower recoil.
            This is why I go by actual data and fact is anytime I die to a bulldog I see them fire their entire magazine just to be able to kill me. If I have any sense that they are coming simple prefire leaves them devastated especially if you use something with RF or something with naturally high rate of fire.
            The only possible nerf that may even be semi reasonable is making the minimum damage 10 making it a 10 pellet kill at range, otherwise you just make it useless.

            I wouldn’t really call low recoil guns “noob-friendly” (excluding the AK; that thing is a tank) because you actually have to aim. Bulldog is just look-and-shoot which usually leads to an insta-death every time on CQC maps (which is pretty much every map). There shouldn’t be any look-and-shoot/insta-death/arguably spammable weapons in the game, especially on these maps that are as close as a fat kid and the t-shirt he is wearing.

            I don’t really care what they do to it as long as I don’t get immediatly killed by someone almost everytime I turn a corner.

            The Bulldog was the second gun I golded and I can honestly say that that gun is in fact overpowered to the point where I felt guilty for ruining everyone elses fun time. The combination of steady aim and muzzle break makes it efficiently kill from distances where a semi-auto spammy gun shouldn’t. The fire rate basically lets you rapidly drain all nine shots (because I have never seen anyone use it without extended mags) and when you need to make a follow-up shot or two you will have no problem. It is no doubt the most frustrating gun in the game to play against, and last time I checked a videogame’s goal is to give you a fun time.

            The bulldog is incredibly easy to kill, you just have to not run around like an idiot and check corners

            In other games the spamable shotguns are usually a bit worse than the pumps or they were just so underused that not many people cared (excluding the striker from MW3, which was also OP). In Ghosts, however, the Bulldog is clearly the best shotgun. Also, checking corners doesn’t usually work when there is a Bulldog behind it.

      Shotguns in Ghosts are pretty bad, but the Bulldog is really frustrating. It may not fire the fastest of all of the shotguns in the CoD series, but paired with the range and damage you have no chance whatsoever in CQC. Have you ever tried playing Cranked? It’s a disaster. It’s as if all of the CoD devs want to make shotguns require little skill at all.

      You’d think that IW learned from the failed abortion from MW3 known as the Striker, but apparently they did not.

        Again, what range? The pellets literally disappear after 24 feet. The striker went out to 50 feet. The striker also had a fire rate of 352 rpm and a 12 round magazine.
        The main problem with the striker was the extended mag glitch, add in damage and it’s understandable why it was OP, after patches it quickly became the second worst shotgun, only beaten by the AA12.
        The Bulldog has a damage profile of 50-17 and a range of 0-295. That means it is never a 2 pellet and only remains a 3 pellet kill out to 11 feet a 4 pellet kill out to 18 feet etc. Up to 24 feet.
        The only thing with worse range is the handguns…and that’s only for their minimum range.

          Incog, takedown and a suppressed weapon are a great combo, you don’t get called out, you don’t have a red name, you don’t show up on radar and there’s no “SOMEBODY DIED” skulls as to not alert enemies, I can’t tell you how many times I killed 1 of 2 people and the second guy doesn’t even notice

      When playing Ghosts, your team mates’s character, gives callouts, example: ‘Enemies spotted in the courtyard’. If you use the Incog perk, this eliminates the callouts as well as everything prior in the perks description, which can be beneficial in a stealthy loadout.

    They’ve been working hard BUT what happened to the spawns? Don’t they think that is more important as a whole than minor fixes.

      I think the spawns are alright with the very occasional spawn-death in Blitz and FFA… It’s terrible on FFA. But as long as you stay away from that you’ll be fine.

    I want a Voice Personalization Pack, that changes the voice of the game character. “The Morgan Freeman DLC Voice Pack”. So instead of stuff like “Capturing Bravo!” in a typical soldier voice, it’ll be more like “We are apprehending the B flag!” in Morgan Freeman’s voice. If only…

    But then again, I don’t know if I should be happy they nerfed the MSBS or mad that they are ready to balance gameplay but still didn’t nerf the IED or C4. From what I’ve seen, more people would’ve rather had those patched than the MSBS…
