Sorry, should of remembered the War scars and memories plague your brain.

Here you are again Riley! 😀

      • Jack Lame

Riley is everywhere, do you not know that yet?

  • Jack Lame

    Woah, so much info :/.

    • kyr95

Well maybe not, but this video gave me all the info that i personally needed, that SHG is trully dedicated to this Cod and the fans. Truly, ive seen many interviews of the cod developers, but this one is the greatest for me, just them talking how deep they’ve gotten with this game. Even if it fails, which i doubt, i want to applaud SHG from now and say a big big thanks to Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield and the rest of the studio. Bravo SHG from the deep of my heart 🙂

      • Jack Lame

They are really something special, just like COD: aw.

        • kyr95

The last line of Glen put a smile on my face
” If someone goes to a friend of his and tell him go play cod, you must play it, then to me we’ve won”
Thats the greatest thing ive ever heard from a cod developer.

  • jordanxbrookes

Is it me or is it weird how Nigeria is a location in Advanced Warfare and there is a terrorist group called the KVA, and in reality there is a terrorist group called Boko Haram who have kidnapped 200+ girls and have caused attacks on villages in Nigeria? For those who can’t understand irony, there is no point of replying.

    • Jack Lame

No, because Boko Haram do not exist.

      • jordanxbrookes

        Yes they do.

        • Jack Lame

No they don’t, they were made up to create bad stories about Islam, you live in the UK right? Well you have seen any of the Muslims there (Quite a lot), be so evil? No. That is because they don’t exist, also, just because there is a terrorist mention, you automatically assume it was a Muslim one? What does that tell you?

          • jordanxbrookes

I have no issues with Muslims, all I said was is it weird how this is in-game and there is something that’s a bit similar in real life. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2622226/Boko-Haram-terror-group-responsible-kidnapping-300-schoolgirls-slaughter-hundreds-latest-attack-Nigerian-town.html

          • Guest

Yeah…daily mail the homophobic, racist, right wing, bigoted newspaper. I’m not denying the news, but Daily Mail isn’t the most credible source.

          • jordanxbrookes

It was the first article when you Google search Boko Haram ok?

          • Jack Lame

You never hurt my feelings, far from it. You gave me a Dailymail article? Haha, also what was there motives? Why are there no pictures of them?

          • jordanxbrookes

Btw here is video footage of the Boko Haram if your interested: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-27284264

          • Guest

On behalf of Jack Lame, just I’d like to say, I wasn’t criticising you. I wasn’t denying what you said 🙂
It’s fine man, no worries, you never hurt any of our feelings. it’s just in general Daily mail isn’t nice towards many people, but what you’re saying is right.

            🙂

          • jordanxbrookes

It was only irony that was all and then Mr. Lame started the whole debate off about Muslims and media.

          • Guest

I actually respect you for saying that
And yes this is me the same person for yesterday
What you say is very thoughtful, and thank god you aren’t sucked in by the media bias

          • Guest

We may diasgree on Xbox One vs PS4 😀 which is silly :P, but on that, I agree

People stereotype too much, and the media blows it out of proportion. Muslims are like any normal human being here in the UK, playing vital roles in day to day activity.

In fact, a lot of the NHS are over sea doctors which are from a lot of Muslim countries, unfortunately only negativity surrounds the world ‘Muslim’ in the media, it is very unfortunate that the face of Muslims has been blackened by the media and the actions of a tiny minority/individuals of extremists.

          • Jack Lame

We don’t even disagree on the Next Gen thing, the point I was trying to get across is, yes, the PS4 is a more powerful machine, but whether there is or is not Money involved, Devs add more detail into the Xbox One games, Im guessing there is money involved though.

  • Josh

So where could the Advanced Warfare story go if Jonathan Irons aka Kevin Spacey’s dies in campaign…… His kid takes control.

    • Jack Lame

      BOOM, COD: Space Warfare.

      • jordanxbrookes

        MIND BLOWN o.O

        • Jack Lame

After the Earth is destroyed, Atlas build machines so they can escape, each map will take place on a different Planet, and in Campaign you will need to travel from world to world, insuring the survival of the Human race.

          • jordanxbrookes

            DOUBLE MIND BLOWN o.O

          • Well that would be complete bullshit

          • Jack Lame

            Why?

          • That wouldnt fit cod,why dont we just jump from galaxy to galaxy…call the game Destiny 2

          • Josh

They said “let’s blow up the moon” as a joke in the interview, so it could be a possibility for a sequel game lol.

          • Jack Lame

            Exactly, that was the point.

          • SilentNova

And then the end credits show Troy Baker and Spaceys character “doing it” yeah? Yeh…

          • Jack Lame

            Uh….no.

    • Jack Lame

Btw his kid is an Adult.

      • Josh

I don’t think he has any children

        • Jack Lame

          He does.

          • Guest

Can you tell me who his kids are? He’s been previously reported gay and has never married so I’m not sure he does.

          • Jack Lame

Um, Im talking about the character.

          • Josh

Oh..that’s funny I was confused because I couldn’t find any info on him having children haha.

          • Jack Lame

Lol, btw he has a girlfriend.

          • Josh

Yeah that’s as much as I could find on him lol

          • SilentNova

Kevin Spacey is gay?! That’s cool…didn’t overreact ;D fantastic actor

          • Jack Lame

            He isn’t.

    • SilentNova

…in an alternative dimension, another Kevin Spacy comes and kills Johnaton Irons, and then makes beautiful romance with Troy Baker, Mitchell

  • Jack Lame

Ok, can everyone use ‘(pic)’, when there is a picture so people know when too refresh?

    • Or people could stop posting stupid pictures so the comments don’t turn into a pile of crap like an imgur thread.

  • NiftyGam3r

I have this whole story in my head, troy will always be delsin, he lost all his conduit powers and decided to join the military to honor the memory of his brother. He changed his name so Augustine wont come after him

  • Grenada!

Seems like they’re really trying to create an amazing campaign for Advanced Warfare. I just hope they can put as much effort into the MP and CO-OP. Don’t disappoint Sledge Hammer.

    • RdJokr

For co-op, we have got zombies and aliens, so what can Sledgehammer provide? Honestly, with the future setting, I can only see robots/cyborgs as an option.

  • Ben Coleman

    Waiting for AW be like

  • “What makes Advanced Warfare different?” It’s Advanced….

    • Xecho

      oh

  • Michael

I love the ending of the video, where he says something about “if we innovate these types of stuff and players come back and love it then we won.” Makes me think that they are really trying to give you that fun factor again.

  • SilentNova

    Hype. Hype. Hype! *game drops
This ******* game sucks! Going back to Ghosts! Tepicall Call of Duty player now a days…

    • Nytrofactor

Except NOBODY is going to go back to ghosts.

      • Duke of hazard

That’s what people said about BO2 and MW3, and look what happened.

  • Bob Mit

I have high hope for Sledgehammer to make a good Call of Duty. Just make it fun and fast.

    • SilentNova

Hell yeah, lots of guns would be great too. As long as the action is passed like Bops 2 and a slight increase in health from Ghosts health logic AND spot on hit detection would serve Advanced Warfare justice

  • Austin

Im really hoping the story can hit like the Last of Us did for me, that game was the only game at the end of the story that had me like, Wow

    • kyr95

Thats a little too high dont you think, the last of us story was masterpiece you cant really expect from a FPS shooter to have such an impacting story.

      • Alexander Kleinwechter

the last of us story was far from a masterpiece. I thought the game last of us was like more of sitting through a movie rather then playing it. It had good story, but way too many cliche’s

    • Ed

obviously, we would all love an epic story that has you staring at the screen for a few beats after it’s all said and done, but that’s rare. just hope for entertaining.

  • TheShadowReaper

come on Sledgehammer, wow us! i’m all hyped after that interview. shows us what you’ve got!

    • kyr95

June 10 at E3 the exams at university start the same day. Grrrrrrrrr

      • TheShadowReaper

          • TheShadowReaper

            ahaha xD

  • Goten

On behalf of the CharlieIntel community, I apologise to SledgeHammer Games. Some of us just don’t appreciate the hard work and efforts that you dedicate into making incredible Campaign that will incite a truly thrilling experience. All we care about is Multiplayer, I’m afraid. (Well certainly not I).

It’s just disheartening to see that the majority of us don’t appreciate the time and effort that goes into the Campaign. They actually have to ‘get’ the actors, weapons to model them in ‘in-game’, motion capture a load of scenes and sequences, yet all we can say is, where’s the multiplayer? Where’s the multiplayer? I’m sorry, but you guys seem pretty ungrateful. Every CoD game STARTS with the Campaign. The Multiplayer is OBSOLETE without it. Nearly EVERYTHING that’s in Multiplayer is either a derivative or something completely taken from the Campaign.

    • kyr95

Exactly! The unique campaign in almost every cod is what distinquises it from the others! I pesonally buy cods first for the story and of course later for the multiplayer. But the work that SHG has put only in the campaign is scaringly incredible. Im positive that this cod, THEIR cod will be much different than the others…in a good way

    • Siftblade of Rivia

Apparently saying good job to SH, then saying I can’t wait for the MP reveal, means I don’t appreciate the effort they out into it. Okay. I appreciate the effort they put into it, but I’m pretty sure nobody dishes out $60 for a 4 hour campaign. I play the campaign once, maybe twice if it was good, but I buy the game for MP, not campaign, and so do most other people.

      • Mr Doge

Wrong most people buy it for SIngleplayer, I dont know exactly but in Bo2 only like 1000000 people or less signed in to MP yet it got a lot more sales. Just sayin’

        • Siftblade of Rivia

“Most people buy it for singleplayer” Where are you getting your facts? Please, back them up. As far as I can tell, even if only 1,000,000 people who logged in to MP, I know for a fact that there are people who never touched MP and only played Zombies, since some of them are on my friends list. Most people don’t buy COD for the singleplayer. You’re saying that if the MP was complete shit, worse than we’ve ever seen before, at 480p 10FPS, MOST people will still buy it for the campaign? No. Hell, most of the people playing MP haven’t even touched Campaign. Go around and ask on Ghosts. Most will say that they played the first mission to unlock Extinction and that’s it. I appreciate the campaign, but everyone knows it’s not a selling point.

        • i♥COD

are you for real or just trolling? COD is firstly an MP game. Thats why its so loved.

        • COOOOOOOD

          MP > Campaign .. GTFO

      • Want multiplayer? You are such an awful person.

        • Siftblade of Rivia

Hey guys, scum of the Earth here. Just wanted to let you know that this game looked amazing, and I couldn’t wait to see more of it now. Even though I said good work to SH on their campaign trailer, apparently I hate campaign for wanting to see some MP. Alright, you guys can twist my words, quote me, and hate me now, thanks.

          • TheShadowReaper

            just ignore the idiot man.

          • Wow, people like you are simply… No words for people like you…

          • Siftblade of Rivia

            I was being sarcastic 😛

          • I was too xD

      • kyr95

I respect your opinion, man. I understand that multiplayer is what draws you more into cod, but you should know there are many people who buy cod not only for the campaign, but PRIMARLY for the campaign. But anyway, everyone has their opinion and i respect yours, i hope we all enjoy this cod when its released (i have a feeling we definitely will). Im just glad that you, unlike others, appreciate their work even on campaign, unlike others who dont give a shit for the developers’s work on this part of the game.

        • Siftblade of Rivia

I said most. Of course, some people love campaign. But they don’t just play campaign and never touch the game again. Personally, I think a 4 hour campaign isn’t worth $60, no matter how good it is.

          • kyr95

Yeah, of course, nobody would buy a 60$ game for 4-5 hour campaign only. Anyways i dont see why many people bash you here , since everyone has their opinion and it should be respected. I personally look forward to this cod, of course ill be playing the campaign first and maybe repeat it 2-3 times, and then move on to multiplayer otherwise where would be the repetitive value of the game? I look forward to E3 and the august reveal.

          • mlgprogscopingswawqer

If they made a cod that wad only multiplayer i would still buy it.

          • SharpShooter

I wish they would so is was amazing at launch and fully supported with quick updates.

          • ObV Swift

I strongly agree with you. I personally have not enjoyed a campaign for call of duty in a while, multiplayer is what really makes me spend my money on COD.

        • i♥COD

ive never known anyone buy COD for the single player. In fact i dont believe it. Why would you bother when usually the MP is soooo good.

      • Grenada!

Agreed. I love the CoD campaigns except for Ghosts and I can really see the effort they are putting into AW. But I buy CoD for the MP and I’m sure that’s the same with most CoD players, so you can see why we want to see the MP when that’s the main point most people buy CoD for in the first place.

    • VVFZ

What are you apologizing to SH for? Multiplayer is what makes the CALL OF DUTY. Look what happened with Ghosts, 2nd best campaign in the series (1st bo2) and everybody hates it. Why? Because the multiplayer sucks. People aren’t going to sit down with their friends and play campaign for hours on end, they’ll be playing multiplayer and/or co-op. The campaign in Ghosts took me 2 1/2 hours to complete, I don’t think its that big of a deal if they only put in 2 1/2 hours of gameplay, not even 20 missions! Maybe if they made it like GTA V’s campaign.

End point: Its the multiplayer and co-op mode that make the Call of Duty, not the campaign. Not to be rude, but don’t try and act smart and screenshot other people saying they’re waiting for the multiplayer. It’s what we all are waiting for. Yeah, a good campaign is what I expect, but I’m not gonna cry my eyes out if it isn’t excellent. As long as the multiplayer and co-op are great i’m pretty sure we’re all fine with that.

      • MichiganerE

        Ghosts had a mediocre campaign.

        • TheShadowReaper

unfortunately yes. i mean fuck multiplayer this game didnt even sate my singleplayer campaign needs that i had when it came out…and to this day i still havent played more than one game of extinction…..

          • MichiganerE

            Right? Sledgehammer better not disappoint.

      • Ryumoau

i thought the first black ops game had the best story, behind the original modern warfare.

        • Wraith

I would have to agree. I enjoy how it didn’t try to go political like some of the others (which never works silly CoD), but focused on a more psychological-type story.

        • Mr Doge

How was the CoD 4 campaign better than MW2’s? CoD 4 was good but not as good as MW2, MW2 had better twists, sad deaths, better characters, it was all round better.

        • Nick

Couldn’t have said it better myself. CoD4 is a legendary classic at this point but the first Black Ops had such a great story and excellent pacing.

      • Mattwillon

Really? Because I thought Ghosts had the worst campaign in a while.

        • VVFZ

Really? Or are you just a Ghosts hater? Because I’m pretty sure Ghosts cinematics and overall story was the best in a while.

          • RdJokr

It’s a matter of opinion. Personally, I thought Ghosts’ campaign was pretty meh, mostly due to being unable to connect with the protagonist. IW was so bent on keeping the “silent protag” thing that it felt weird at many parts (especially during the flashback mission with Elias). I mean really, would it kill them to have him talk during that mission? He talks a lot during the game, yet he goes silent mode on that mission. Doesn’t make sense.

Logan was even worse; not only was he silent the whole time, but it’s like he wasn’t even there. There was barely any interaction between him and the characters, other than when they order him to do something. The ending for example; Rorke breaks his arm, and he doesn’t even scream in agony. IW deserved a slap to the face for that. At least with the Black Ops games, there’s an emotional feel to it whenever you hear Mason talk.

Also, the teaser for a sequel is just unnecessary.

          • MichiganerE

Far from it, the campaign was cliche, predictable and unoriginal. Even CoD 3 had a better campaign.

          • Grenada!

Why do you assume he’s a Ghosts hater? I thought the Ghosts campaign was garbage as well. Yeah some of the cinematics had cool animations but it was still a crap campaign imo.

          • Guest

That’s funny. Ghosts campaign was the worst for me in a while. It was funny as hell though, specifically this scene. I couldn’t stop laughing, lol. Loved the BO2 and BO1, as well as the MW campaigns though. http://youtu.be/i3JbTslTtRY?t=15m5s

          • Mattwillon

It’s just my opinion. I don’t hate Ghosts overall, but I do think the campaign was garbage. The story was too cheesy imo, the focus on cinematics instead of gameplay was bad, and the story didn’t make sense in a lot of ways. Speaking of gameplay, I felt a lot of it to be way too similar to older COD’s, and had way way way too many staged “epic” scenes that got old fast. Not fun gameplay at all. But like I said, just my opinion, not a hater.

        • Grenada!

That’s what I thought aswell. Best to worst for me would be CoD4, CoD1, BO, BO2, MW2, WaW, CoD2, MW3, CoD3 and then Ghosts. I jus didn’t like the story and I couldn’t care less about any of the characters in the game. Ghosts has a very forgetful campaign and dull characters.

      • Nick

I like both. There isn’t any reason you can’t have both. Although I do disagree with your list and mine is probably the exact opposite.

      • kyr95

What he means exactly is that although most of the fans dont care about the campaign (which is a little sad actually) they should at least appreciate their effort to that, not be like ” ohh i dont care about campaign, give me multiplayer” . They should be like Shiftblade who commented “Props to SHG, im eager to see the multiplayer”. Even if you dont care about the campaign at least show some appreciation to them for their effort in that part of the game.

      • TheShadowReaper

its singleplayer wasnt good, what are you talking about? its the worst campaign story throughout the whole franchise. if you want an example of good campaign stories COD4, BO and MW3 are quite great to look at to.

    • MichiganerE

I will always play the campaigns first.

      • Nick

I always wait for the first weekend. I play multiplayer as much as I can throughout the week and then once I can sit down and dedicate some serious time to pretty much beat the whole game is when I do it.

      • PandaMan

        Same

    • ……

I for certain am going to play the campaign I play the campaign every time I milk the game for what it’s worth not just the MP

    • IZKGaming

      I
Agree with you My Friend I Played Ghosts’s Campaign 3 Times and BO2 7 Times Yeah I Iike BO2’s Campaign better Ghosts is Good too!

    • KillzoneVII

      Hey that’s me!

But really, I appreciate the campaigns, and usually play them all the way through within a week of release. Ghosts is the first one I still haven’t completed this long after release since MW2. Fact is multiplayer is the main draw for the series, and what most CoD players will be playing for months after the games release, so that’s what we want to see of course. 🙂

    • Jack Lame

To tell the truth, everyone is SUPER hyped for Campaign. literally every person in that picture is, no need for an apology to SHG.

    • jordanxbrookes

But if you read my previous comments, I said that Sledgehammer have already convinced me that the campaign will be great. I do fully appreciate the campaign, heck I’ve completed all the Modern Warfare campaigns on veteran difficulty. If that’s not appreciating the campaign I don’t know what is.

    • TheShadowReaper

but but…i play have played all campaigns and never touch multiplayer until i have completed them. what about me and the rest that care?

    • i♥COD

COD is as big as it is because of the MP!! the majority of core fans wouldn’t care less if there wasnt a campaign! For me COD is the greatest addictive MP ever, year on year(with the exception of Ghosts). They should do the MP first and work backwards back to campaign. Why do people que up at midnight, its not for the campaign, its for MP. I the only additional mode Ive enjoyed is zombies.

    • Thinhtam

      Hello Richard’s little brother!

  • Work Hard, Twerk Harder

At the 6:30 mark roughly, the guy mentions that Ghosts had done great work on the facial animations. They wore masks… atleast the majority of them did, no doubt to save time on some details most players won’t recognise.

    • Jarred Hodges

But when their faces WERE shown, they looked amazing.

  • galaxygraber

I’m not usually a big fan of “futuristic” settings, but I loved Black Ops 2’s campaign, so I’m really hoping I’ll love Advanced Warfare’s campaign. I mean hell, it can’t be too hard to make it better than the Ghosts campaign.

    • Jack Lame

Let me guess you like WW2?

      • galaxygraber

Not too much actually. The modern warfare games were great, but Black Ops was my personal favorite. I feel like the further into the future you get, the more ridiculous everything feels.

        • Chris Mason

Yep. When I was a young boy, cordless telephones that could send text-based messages, browse an intangible internet of porn and information, and receive electronic mail would’ve sounded pretty ridiculous, too.

I really like the attitude of these guys!!! Getting pretty stoked for this game, November looks so far away right now. Lol

  • Some people are more exited about the Campaign, which is very understandable, but I don’t care at all about it myself.
I never bother with the campaigns on COD and I’m only interested in the MP, so some info or footage of the MP would be awesome.

    • Jarred Hodges

Games aren’t all about multiplayer. With most games, it comes second.

    • Baldmanz_RAGE

I agree but at least if they show the actual campaign gameplay you can pretty much get an idea of what the MP will play like. We’ll probably have to wait till August for that. I hope the passion they showed in this interview translates in the gameplay.

  • Bob Saget

You know what….Graphically, this game looks almost as good as Killzone 2.

    • jooker-jr

      Really ?? No just no

  • :D

Schofield looks like a guy you would see drinking in a bar and not making a game Condrey on the other looks like a dude you would see making a game.

  • George

It sure seems to me like these guys have been listening and they know what to do. I’m convinced and can’t wait to play.

  • Almighty Loaf

A lady in this video… Does that mean we can still play as females in the multiplayer? Might just pre-order just for that, heh.

    • Ryumoau

i’m hoping. It would be weird to take it away after it was just introduced in Ghosts. I’d personally be even more happy if they had female playable characters in the story mode.

  • Aaron V

Interviews like this is what gets me excited about a game more than anything else. Hearing the passion and what the game devs are trying to do with a game is fantastic!

    • Ryumoau

agreed. i hope gameinformer has more interviews with them planned for the rest of this month.

Oh and btw, no I’m not gay, I’ve been married to my wife for 4 years.
        What’s your story?

        • “I hav a wif and 3 kds u fgt, i hav 1523623636 $$$$ in da bank nd ma wif fuks me every nite”

The unspoken words of HAGAYY- 2014

  • Can’t wait for the MP reveal 😀

  • HostileAE

I can’t wait to play the Campaign I love every COD story but from the sound of this interview it maybe a lot better 🙂

  • invinciblemuffin

i hope this call of duty is getting awesome optimized for pc cuzz ghosts isn’t

  • chris

I would really like to see more in depth character customization for AW I really didn’t enjoy paying 4 bucks to have legendary characters and not be able to at least outfit them in previous uniforms that looked much better and more detailed, along with more content in multiplayer to make it feel more than just a shooter. For instance, in a domination gametype hack a node in order to take control of that point, or have other nodes that give your team small boosts like extra starting ammo, or less points toward your killstreak something like that. I would really like to see SH take advantage of the time period in regards to killstreaks and equipment.

  • Ghost

‘Modern Warfare’ series was the best! Hopefully ‘Advanced Warfare’ can compete with that!
