I’m not a pc gamer myself but its cool to see these games brought to steam.

    • The Pope

They were already on steam, you just couldn’t get it on Mac.

  • Too late?

    • Ryumoau

its never too late to play Modern Warfare 2. 🙂

      • kyr95

This comment needs more likes 😀

      • AcePhoenix007

Yeah, but I’m guessing there will be less people playing MW2 on Mac than people playing Ghosts on Xbox One (30,000).

        • IceKoldKilla

Xbox One 30.000? That must be wrong. PS4 on it’s highest times can get 60.000 people. Xbox always has more. The usual though is 50.000 in the afternoon/night and 30.000 when it’s morning/late night (depends on time zones).

          • TheShadowReaper

XboxOne has sold less than half of the PS4. i dont know if Xbox360 had more COD players online than PS3 but with the gen 8 of console this isnt the case.

          • Grenada!

Not quite. X1 sales are like 5 million, while the PS4 is like 7 million. But yeah that’s basically why because there are more PS4 players than X1. 360 has more players on it that the PS3 though.

          • Matouš Jašek

PS4 7 million sales are people who bought it but the X1 sales even count the ones that are still in shops

      • Bmeowmix

I’m not sure about other consoles, but it is definitly too late to play on PS3

I miss the days of Modern Warfare. Modern Warfare 2 definitely one of the best games I’ve ever played, despite the glitches, the OMA/DC/Noobtube broken game mechanic and a few other issues. I believe this is the only Call of Duty game in which the iron sights on some weapons were misaligned, and also the RDS on the FAL was misaligned too. Modern Warfare 3 to me was a fantastic game that offered cool customisation like Proficiencies, Weapon Level, Elite Monthly DLC Content and more. Again it had some nuisances like the E.M.P. and Stealth Bomber in the Support Strike Package. Just hope that the next stage in warfare, that being Advanced Warfare, will be just as good and deliver us fans the Call of Duty experience that we deserve.

    • k5berry

I wasn’t playing MW2 during it’s popularity, but I love the game now, and I understand the feel, that MW2 was “the game”. They should have a “go back to MW2 week” were everyone takes a day or week to dedicate to going back to MW2

      • jordanxbrookes

Neither did I. I wish I was there when Call of Duty 4, World at War and Modern Warfare 2 were in its prime. MW2 was my first Call of Duty game, but I didn’t get Xbox LIVE until Black Ops. It’s sad for us guys who missed out on its prime, but we have to move on and forgive ourselves.

        • Carrisi

Cod4 was the bench mark and was amazing, I played 30 days on it and then loved me2 and me3. Those days we’re incredible on cod. So addictive and enjoyable. Maybe that’s why ghosts gets so much hate cos the same developer just failed to deliver and is the first in the series that actually made me stop playing cod.

        • Grenada!

I started playing CoD in CoD4’s prime and excuse my language but it was fucking amazing. Cod4 to MW2 was the best CoD time period ever. You really did miss out on playing CoD4,WaW and MW2 at their prime as nothing has come close to them yet. There is a reason why CoD4 got GOTY and why so many people love it. In my honest opinion, I don’t think CoD will ever be that good again but I really hope I’m wrong cause those were some of my best gaming days ever.

  • Bob Mit

I like PC more. But at least Mac users can play now.

    • JoshG

A mac is a PC it just runs on OS X rather than Windows

    • Poop

      New mac is upgradable.

    • PuddingAuxRais1ns

Holy shit. That has to be an exaggeration.

      • curi0us

        It’s not.

      • IceKoldKilla

Nope. Apple like to make you pay extra for their OS and tiny insignificant details.

      • DanDustEmOff

Yeah the PC specs are pretty old and the price has been photoshopped.

    • falahcod

I would rather buy an old car than a PC.

    • Grenada!

Just shows how all Apple products are way overpriced.

  • Erik Salas

Just when I made my ACOG mod on my Mac for CoD4. I will now bring it over to MW3.

  • TheShadowReaper

why do i feel like the only one that hates MW2 for what it is? dont get me wrong its a solid game, but there is just so much bullshit in it that makes it unplayable. of course there wasnt any good FPS to rival COD at that time (not that there is now but you get the point) and i had my fair share of playing the game. (400+ hours that is) i just dont know. for me MW2 aside from its campaign is one of the worst entries in the COD franchise which offers nothing new in terms of innovation except customizable killstreaks, akimbo/dual wield and a broken game in terms of balancing.

    • IceKoldKilla

I agree 100% with you. I got bored so fast with its bullshit. Too many killstreak, camping to get killstreaks so you would die at spawn, nukes, tactical-insertions, over-power guns, spawn trapping, etc. I eventually got hacked randomly to Prestige 10 Level 70 with all unlocks so that made it fun for a few more days :/

      • TheShadowReaper

we are the minority my friend. everyone else praises MW2 for the broken mess it still is.

        • Darvald

It’s idyllic dream. Most people’s favorite CoD is the one that they played first, because their experience was a complete new one. That experience will always be a the most ‘lovely’ memory of CoD.

My first CoD was United Offensive on the PC, and I loved it. That game will always have something special for me, same for Black Ops 1 which was my first CoD game on the PS3.

That’s why I think it’s bullshit that people call for a remake of a CoD4 or MW2. Do they really think that the trolls and players who ruin the game for others stay away from a remake of the ‘holy’ CoD4 and MW2? I don’t think so. A remake will only ruin their perfect memory of a so called perfect game.

That having said: I’ve always seen MW2 as an awesome game, the killstreaks were an epic upgrade compared to the 3,5 and 7 of CoD4 and WaW. The map design was also one that I really liked. But, like any other CoD, it has it’s flaws. In MW2’s case, it was a flaw that had a huge impact on the gameplay.

It’s this reason that I don’t understand why so many people have so many issues with Ghosts. I really like Ghosts, but I am also the first person to admit that it has it’s flaws, but those flaws, in my opinion, aren’t as awful as the flaws that some previous CoDs have had.

          • TheShadowReaper

i fully agree with you. nostalgia doesnt listen to reason. thats the ugly truth.

as for Ghosts i dont like it for many reasons. the biggest one is that it doesnt “feel” like a COD game. feels like more a product that would be close to COD or imitating COD. maybe i’m not ready for changes in the COD franchise. maybe the changes are too drastic. maybe there isnt enough change. all of the above are true to a certain extent. but you have to agree that there was something off with Ghosts. i cant really tell what it is, maybe its the maps, maybe its the gameplay, it has its issues.

          • Grenada!

Agreed. Ghosts just doesn’t feel right, it’s hard to explain but every time I hop on it, I just feel sick of playing it after two minutes and it doesn’t have that fact paced action that every CoD game has had to date. However if you don’t like change, I really don’t think you’ll like AW since that looks like it will change the most. As for me I want change, I want the suits to be always on in MP so we can jump about and have super strength because it will be different.

          • TheShadowReaper

yeah i am open to change as long as its reasonable. as for AW one word. Sledgehammer. these guys made Dead Space and are my fav developers for that. there’s no way i wont like AW.

          • Aldo

I don’t think anyone can disagree that MW2 is a broken game but firstly, that wasn’t always the case, and secondly I think it’s fondly remembered for a variety of reasons but mainly because it was incredibly good fun – despite it’s flaws! It’s also widely regarded as having the best maps and hit detection of any COD – which helps.

It’s just a tragedy imo that they never patched some of the bs that ultimately ruined the game for many people. I still go back now and again but it usually ends in rage quit. :/

          • Darvald

I admit, Ghosts isn’t a real Call of Duty. It is indeed slower paced, and due to the map design of the core maps, the gameplay is different when compared to previous CoDs.
I think that is the reason why I like Ghosts, since I have always been somewhat of a passive player. I never liked it to go fully rushing mode. I used to be a sad ass camper on MW3, but on Black Ops II I learned to play a lot more mobile, but still, I disliked BO2 .

Ghosts is much more of a game for me.

Talking about the CoD feel, all Call of Duty’s after Call of Duty United Offensive and Call of Duty 2 aren’t real CoDs for me. It’s like: CoD4, MW2 and MW3 are more of a Modern Warfare game. Whilst the Black Ops games are their own ‘genre’.

Every studio has it’s on twist on Call of Duty, and the game feels different every year.

I guess it’s just going to be the same again this year’s November. I am really curious about how the gameplay will feel in Advanced Warfare, since they have did some changes to the core gameplay.

Whatever it’s going to be, I will (have to) adapt to it, just like I did with Black Ops 2, since I’ll have to, Youtube subscribers can be relentless sometimes 😛

    • Killer!

Bad Company 2 was a big rival for MW2 but MW2 sold more simply because it was the sequal to CoD4 with was the best CoD game to date. Also the fact that you said there is no FPS to rival CoD at this point is just idiotic. You’ve got games like Halo, BF3, TF which can beat Ghosts any day of the week easily, why? Because they are so much fun, that’s what Ghosts lacks on and it’s the worst CoD in the series. A large number of people don’t buy CoD because they like it, they buy it because it’s the new CoD and then they never play the game. About half of my friends hate CoD but they still buy it, play it for a week then never play it again and go back to Battlefield 3 and BC2 we all know BF4 was a mess.

      • TheShadowReaper

ah yes i forgot that MW2 launched with BC2. but still. BC2 wasnt as popular as MW2, not even half of that actually. and right now with BF3 and BF4 the BF franchise has become shit so yeah…it doesnt compare to COD anymore. TF is meh, and Halo doesnt compare to COD cause its not in the same genre.

Ghosts lacks a lot of things. but its still COD. that why people buy COD. because its COD. it is the best FPS game out there when the bullshit arent there. by far the best. sales do not lie.

        • Killer!

BF3 was good and with the recent CoD games the CoD franchise has become shit so the same thing can be said about CoD. And yeah, sales do not lie, that’s why CoD is a slowly dying franchise when their sales every year keep getting less. CoD needs to do something or it will continue to decline in sales. I would also like to say that if it wasn’t for Halo, you wouldn’t even be playing CoD.

          • TheShadowReaper

kill yourself. you’ll do the universe a favor.

BF3 and BF4 is are the worst and most shitty entries in the BF franchise + broken on launch. yeah COD is dying…mhmhm, where have i heard of that again? btw COD is dying and has 4 times more sales than BF. yeah it is definitely dying, yes.

COD isnt declining. it was just Ghosts being launched for 6 different platforms that hurt the game a lot. but thats only Ghosts. since COD4 there are 7 COD games to choose from and play including Ghosts. so even if Ghosts wasnt such a success the other 6 were and people are STILL playing them. cant say the same for Halo 1 or Halo 2.

also, Halo has nothing on COD. 1) they are in a different genre of games. Halo is a sci-fi shooter whereas COD is a military shooter. 2) Halo has never become the biggest franchise in the history of gaming, COD did. enough said. enough pwn.

  • GunsNwarfare45 .

I remember when CoD4 was in its primes… Fun times
    Wish I could go back

    • jordanxbrookes

I never played it in its prime :'(

      • TheShadowReaper

        you are very, very unlucky.

COD 2 – That’s how far we should go back!

      • Grenada!

That game actually requires skill. You can’t rely on noobie perks and attachments because there are none. That’s what I love about CoD2, it’s basic and the MP requires skill to beast on. If you aren’t good at the game, then you have to play and play to get better. That’s what these new CoD games fail on, they just have to many noob friendly things in them.

        • [email protected]

I played over 2000 Hours of COD2 – Awesome game, a remake of COD2 would be a dream come true!

  • curi0us

Better late than never I suppose.

  • Man those MW2 days… Best days of my gaming life

  • Rorke File

When they gone remake a cod
