Editor’s Note: This is just an opinion piece on what we think are the possibilities of Advanced Warfare Multiplayer. No official MP details have been announced yet, other than the fact that we’ll be seeing exoskeleton in some form in Multiplayer.

With Sledgehammer Games bringing Call of Duty to a new era with Advanced Warfare, we wanted to investigate the possibilities of how Exoskeleton can be used inside of the multiplayer aspect of the game. Sledgehammer has stated that Advanced Warfare MP will have the Exo-Suits, which will foster in changes to the core mechanics. Other than that, they haven’t said anything official on how it will work.

The Exoskeleton will provide new abilities to players that we’ve never seen before. In the campaign mode, Exoskeleton delivers the abilities for boost-jump, dodge-jump, cloaking abilities, and more. How could this all translate to multiplayer?

Boost-Jumps:

Boost-jumps is definetly a new thing for Call of Duty fans. Within Call of Duty titles, verticality hasn’t really been a major factor, as jumping has been more “realisitic” to modern-era times; nothing as crazy as Titanfall, or as Halo up until now. But in Advanced Warfare, the Exoskeleton will allow players to boost jump, jumping up to new heights and places like never before. So, what could this do for MP?

It could bring more verticality to maps and even allow players to reach new places in maps. Currently, in Call of Duty, we’re limited to how high up we can reach, dependent upon the accessibility of features like stairs/ladders. With boost-jumps, we could get from roof top to roof top a lot quicker. We could even get to higher places faster, without having to find stairs/etc.

It’s also a possibility that we could see no more falling damage in Advanced Warfare. That would be big for Call of Duty. When we’re in game, and our screen is all red, we know anything we do may get us killed. The worst is when you fall out and die due to fall damage. Having no falling damage would be a great addition. This could also mean we can jump from place to place, without the fear of dying upon accidentally falling short of a jump.

When we say verticality, we don’t want maps like Battlefield at all. Those are way to high up roof tops, and we don’t see the boost jump taking us up that high in Call of Duty.

Dodge-Jump:

Another interesting ability players will get is the new dodge jump; this is demonstrated in the “Induction” campaign mission, where the player jumps out of the way from fire to get a new angle on the enemy. In MP, this could change the strategies and way we play. If you’re stuck in a situation where there’s to many players and cover is the just to one side of you, you could be able to get their quicker, and get right back into the battle.

Cloaking Abilities:

Advanced Warfare’s Exo-Suit allows for Cloaking abilities, where you go completely invisible from view for a short period of time. Now, it’s not confirmed at all if this is coming to MP, but what are the possibilities and results if it does end up in MP?

For one, we see it maybe implemented as an ability you can get from a streak reward (note: it’s not announced or discussed yet how killstreaks, etc will work). If it’s a reward, then it can be balanced and effective for players. Balance wise, this feature, shown in campaign mode at a behind doors demo at E3 in BioLab mission, would only work for a certain period of time. After a while, it needed to be charged up again before reactivating. Cloaking would allow you to sneak by in objective game modes or get to cover without being seen.

Overdrive:

There’s also a feature, discussed by Sledgehammer in this video, called ‘Overdrive.’ This feature makes you go faster, which makes you feel like the world around you is going slower. Here’s another situation where we see players getting this via a reward; sort of like a KEM strike, it would alter the world that would result in enemy players are slowed down, and the player who earned the streak gets to use the mode to move faster.

Strength:

Exo-Suits also provide for more player strength and player driven control. As demonstrated in the Induction mission, players have more strength to the point that they can rip off a car door and use it as cover till it get’s damaged. In MP, this could basically become a riot shield for anyone who wants to use it; we would no longer have to equip a separate riot shield, instead just rip off a certain object and have one ready at cover at any point in a map.

Let us know what you think about Exo-Suits in MP and give us feedback on what else you would like us to go in depth on in the comment section below!

In my opinion exosuit should be in the multiplayer but without cloaking abilities. Just think about how campers would have better chances to sit in a corner and wait you to pass by. But dodging and double jumping and of course that super kick are awesome and these features are more than welcome. 🙂

    • kyr95

Agreed, though cloaking could be a good feature IF implemented and balanced correctly.

      • LovekillerX

Well now that I am thinking cloaking should have some restrictions. Like some timing how long it lasts and stuff like that. 🙂 And of course that time should be as minimal as possible so it couldn’t be “spammed.”

        • kyr95

Exactly 🙂 Limited cloaking time and recharging isnt exactly gonna help campers much, will it? 😉

          • LovekillerX

What if cloaking would have cooldown time which rises always more when it is used. That way spamming would be blocked.

          • kyr95

Thats a cool addition 🙂 Knowing SHG, and judging by how much theyre aiming to deliver a balanced multiplayer, even if cloaking makes it in the final game, it propably wont be very OP.

          • LovekillerX

As they have already said. Gadgets won’t be OP. Thinking of that they also could mean that cloaking abilities and things like that won’t also be OP.

          • kyr95

I have faith in SHG. Btw, – not much to do with MP- i just started playing dead space again yesterday and the first names that popped up in the intro were “Glen Schofield, Michael Condrey”
I was filled with joy, honestly, this franchise is in very good hands. 😉

          • LovekillerX

Haha I know that feel bro! 😀

          • kyr95

1 month left till MP reveal! ;D

          • LovekillerX

Yep already hyped man! Everyone get aboard! 😀

      • STEALTHD3M0N

You should be slightly visible and you must be walking. Running would be too OP and if you don’t have to move then campers will be everywhere.

        • kyr95

It could work very well that way 🙂

    • RdJokr

Crysis managed to have cloaking in MP, and it didn’t seem all too powerful. So I don’t see why AW couldn’t have it. Gonna need major tweaks for it to be balanced though.

      • STEALTHD3M0N

I think that the dodge should have a slight delay before you are allowed to shoot as it would be impossible to get the kill if there is no delay.

        • derp

Then we should have a perk that work only when the player is in mouvement. Like the ghost perk from bo2

          • STEALTHD3M0N

As I said limited time cloak only during walking not sprinting as that would be OP. Also it should have a cool down period of 30-45 secs

      • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

Crysis’s cloaking is the most OP out of any game.

    • Ben

I bet you will see the opponents if they’re cloaked… in Crysis 2 and 3, you can see their body because the cloak just “reflects” the outer world in a very distorted way. Sure, it’s still a big advantage, but you can see them if you look carefully. And according to the screenshot embedded in the article, they’re going to use a similiar method in AW…

Btw I expect that we can see them in the map because the cloaking proceed will take a huge amount of energy…

      • LovekillerX

Yeah I know what you’re talking about. I have played Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 multiplayer beta and that cloaking system wasn’t bad at all. Same works with Advanced Warfare if they are putting cloaking into multiplayer and do the same thing as Crysis did. It wouldn’t be nice if you couldn’t see cloaked players. They would have big advantage in firefights.

Let’s see what Sledgehammer Games have in mind. Just hoping that they don’t ruin the multiplayer. But I think that everything will turn up just fine. 🙂

    • TheShadowReaper

well, lets say that you can only see the outline of a person’s cloak. you can still see the outline and that’s enough i guess. also i dont know how no one mentioned that or thought of it but, do you really think that there wont be an InfraRed upgrade that allows you to see any cloaked person at will? cloaking wont break the game. we have seen it on Halo, we have seen it on Crysis and most recently on Titanfall. it will be a nice addition if u ask me. i always wanted to being able to cloak but i had to go play other shooters to do so. now my fav game will feature it. why cant we be happy about that instead of bitching like idiots, huh?

      • LovekillerX

No one is b*tching here just telling the opinion. And kyr95 already made me think in other way and I really think that cloaking would be a good thing if it will be made RIGHT.

        • TheShadowReaper

my point in a nutshell. i’m just a little bit rough when it comes to pointing out obvious things or things that arent much of a problem to start with.

  • cesc-2007

The exosuit should be a piece of personal camo only and no effect in MP.

    • MichiganerE

No, it needs to change up multiplayer. Stop living in the past.

  • Coral

That dodge-jump can be op when you think about it. Lets say you’re 1 off some big streak, you shoot him and suddenly he just dodge’s away. Sort of like a “panic dodge”

    • Xecho

Oh boy I can hear that term being used now. Watch it become a thing.

      • Coral

        I know right?

    • STEALTHD3M0N

I think when someone dodge jumps then there will be a slight delay so they can’t start shooting instantly. A bit like the dolphin dive in BO where they can’t shoot for a second.

  • guest

    pretty much crysis multiplayer then

    • Guest

lol Didn’t Crysis had something similar to COD’s mp?

  • The cloak should be a something like this; can’t attack when cloaked, still be able to hear footsteps and can be disabled with special equipment.

    • Guywithbrains

      EMP grenade? That would work.

      • Exactly! Like in BO2.

        • jordanxbrookes

Here’s how I feel the EMP grenade can be balanced: To destroy equipment and ground streaks, the EMP must be in direct line of sight and in a certain radius, like in MW3. To interrupt an enemy’s cloaking, the EMP only has to be in the certain radius and the cloaked enemy has to be in that radius to do this, like in BO2, but like I said, it wouldn’t affect and disable equipment or ground streaks unless in DLoS and in the certain radius.

          • Hostslayer

EMP grenades should only work in a 2 meter radius of the cloaked person. Then every thing else should be fine.

    • Xecho

No to be able to hear the cloaked person’s footsteps. There is no point of stealth in MP if you can heat footsteps at all.

  • Guywithbrains

Strength, boost jumping and jump-dodging is welcome to multiplayer for sure. Cloaking just puts me think that how it is going to be balanced? I think that best way, as someone already have said, is that cooldown time rises more always when you use cloaking and cloaking should be only available when you crouch. But I am pretty sure that overdrive won’t make it to multiplayer.

Maybe they would make some part system to exo suit? Like you would be able to use 3 different parts which gives you these abilities. One part would give invisibility, but then it makes some other part like strenght unable to be chosen. Like other part locks other part, so there won’t be OP combinations. Like the system with Ghosts weapons, you couldn’t have two things from same category (two sights and so on).

    • LORDFIST111

I say have the cloaking like it is in Titanfall. That’s pretty damn balanced.

      • Hostslayer

        It’s for Titans not pilots

        • LORDFIST111

Nope. The Pilots have it. It’s one of the first perk like things you have unlocked.

          • Hostslayer

Nope. It’s to counter Titans not Pilots

          • LORDFIST111

Look. Right here. It’s a post on the wiki page. Also I’ve played Titanfall. It’s an ability for the pilots. Don’t believe me read this

Cloak is a pilot tactical ability appearing in Titanfall. It allows its user to become invisible for a short period of time.

          • Hostslayer

            TO COUNTER TITANS.

          • LORDFIST111

People use it to counter other players. It’s invisibility for god’s sakes. It doesn’t say anything about it being used to counter titans. It can be used to counter Titans, yes but it’s cloaking that the pilots use for various purposes like oh I don’t know, Running around cloaked.

          • Hostslayer

People are stupid because I see right through it. For titans they are invisible but pilots can see them easily.

          • LORDFIST111

Yes but still. It’s better than running into an objective fully visible. It’s either that or have it like Halo. In Halo if you move to sudden or run, you become visible. But you can still see an outline of a person. Both are extremely balanced. If you’d rather have people running around fully cloaked, then that’d break the game.

          • jordanxbrookes

Hostslayer is right, yes the Pilots have the ability, but it’s only invisible to the Titans and not fully invisible to enemy Pilots.

          • LORDFIST111

Yes but that’s how it’s Balanced. The player isn’t fully invisible to players but they are cloaked. You still see the outline of the person.

          • jordanxbrookes

I know, I never said it wasn’t balanced.

          • LORDFIST111

I know. I’m agreeing with you.

          • Guest

I’ve played Titanfal as well and i can assure every one here that cloaking is for real:

            http://www.myessentia.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/invisible-cloak.jpg

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

But it is to counter the Titans. You’re completely invisible to Titans/Pilots inside titans, but you’re not invisible to Pilots.

      • justchill

cloaking was present in black ops 2 campaign, but was removed in multiplayer. we could see the same outcome in AW

    • mr. magic

i aggree totaly with you.. but i think cloaking should be balanced like crysis 3 did.. you cant shoot while cloaked, you cant be invisable for a long time, and u r not COMPLEATLY invisable ( like if i were to look at one spot for a short time, id be able to spot someone who is cloaked.) and with all that being said you might want to eliminate 1 hit melee kills bacause of cloaking.. if cloakig makes it.

      • Guywithbrains

If it is going to be like jordanxbrookes’s image shows, then it will be fine. Also shooting while invisible should make you visible, which probably is the case. Maybe they should make some special melee abilities for these invisible silent assassins. It would be awesome!

      • “The cloaking should be leik Crysis!” “The cloaking should be leik TitanFall!” No, the cloaking should be like Team Fortress Two 😀 *Kappa*

        • Siftblade of Rivia

The cloaking should be like Harry Potter. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

      • Volt

I think cloaking should be like this…

A kill streak unlocked at a decently high level. Sort of like BO2 did with Swarm… That was unlocked at level 54.

If it won’t be some sort of killstreak, there should be some sort of timer, we should barely see the player, and invisibility will turn off after shooting.

IF it comes to a point where shooting is allowed on the exoskeleton suit, the ability should be unlocked at a higher level.

        Just my opinion on it.

        • UpRiftCOD

Or it could be an attachment you can equip to your exo suite . I really like the idea of it working for a certain amount of time, then you have a cool down period. If you shoot, it should make you viable and if you move it makes you slightly visable. I think it would be good to use in search, as a suprise element.

      • Potato Republic

Yes. Because a knife lunge to the hand is very fatal and logical.

    • Unscene

I think if cloaking has a cool down and takes away the ability to shoot then it will be balanced. To balance it further they could create a perk or tactical that makes it so it detects cloaked enemies either on the mini-map or on screen in game.

  • omar_soft

Id think they would turn perks into exo suit upgrades, EX marathon would become a leg upgrade but named better. Things like that

    • Xecho

That seems and is a great idea and it seems they’re doing that for SP

  • MT

This all could work its just things need to br balanced. I would love to double jumps and dodges but the maps need to be designed so that all the areas accesed by double jumps are op. Its all about balance

  • Plato/Tomato

Imagine how much better a map like Favela would have played with boost jumps ^-^

    • MichiganerE

Wow, it would be a lot of fun.

  • Ben

Guys, just look at the Crysis 2’s multiplayer mode… I bet AW will be similiar.

  • Bob Mit

So it’s going to be just like Halo…………………..

    • LORDFIST111

It’s a great game. Don’t bash on it. And probably a mix of Halo and Titanfall because CoD now a days is running out of ideas. I just hope we can wall run and stuff like in Titanfall.

      • Guywithbrains

But Titanfall developers are ex-MW2 developers, if I am not wrong? So in principle it is not stolen idea at all.

        • Hostslayer

IW made MW2 not SHG. Drop IW pick-up Respawn

          • Guywithbrains

Yeah I know. But I just meant that people who claim that AW stoles ideas from Titanfall… first fact is that AW development started before Titanfall and second is that Titanfall’s idea is from Call of Duty developers, so why wouldn’t SHGames use that too? It isn’t even patent idea?

          • Grenada!

Titanfall was in development since early 2011 and AW was late 2011, after SHG finished helping make MW3, so……

      • Bob Mit

        This change will be fun.

  • Run N Gunning Camper

With the exoskeleton, soldiers will be physically able to quickscope. The added strength, the computer enhancements and assist should allow you to lift up a sniper rifle with ease and fire it accurately.

I predict quickscoping will be back in full force in Advanced Warfare.

    • Hostslayer

With E-sports in mind it mostly won’t

    • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

      Man that would suck.

  • Chris Mason

    Thoughts on the Exo…

Anything should either have a cool down period or take “prep” time. Breaching previously inaccessible places using superior strength? A short buildup animation much like placing breaching charges and the beautiful placement of an exclamation mark on the map, like in Ghosts, to alert the other team… because unless you’re Batman, ripping a door off its hinges is not stealthy.

Cloaking with movement limitations and cool down is fine.

Cool down with double jumping may not be necessary, but the dodge jump shouldn’t be spammable.

But what about vision modes? Pulse sweep like a portable radar, maybe?

I agree about a modular exo suit. Leg upgrades for increased jump distance, faster movement speed… but maybe a draw back of increasing raise time some to keep it from being a mindless blitzkrieg fest. Maybe be able to increase strength enough to overturn large map items (vehicles, desks, your mom) to use as cover? Unable to be used with the leg upgrade. Perhaps a movement penalty… able to use LMGs akimbo (kidding).

There’s a lot of great ideas. Can’t wait to see what they do.

  • Getoverit

The exo suit isn’t going to impact gameplay whatsoever. It’s just a different way of implementing perks. It’ll still be the same old rubbish at the end of the day but the usual PR spiel for some reason gets people drooling. I remember when everyone was jizzing at the ‘create a soldier’ function on Ghosts and that just turned out to be create a class renamed but with a few items of clothing. The exo suits will offer nothing new apart from a jump boost and how opponents look. Seen it all before in other games anyway; it’s nothing new, innovative or original.

    • Drift

Yes because you’ve seen the multiplayer and you know all of this.

      • jooker-jr

He read glen and Michel’s mind.

  • Or you know it would be cool if they added a riot sheid that acts as a cloaking system when you place it down, that way you only seem invisable to the people in front of you, that way if someone comes from the side, they can still see you. #themoreyouknow

    • jooker-jr

I don’t like this idea but who knows maybe it will be the best idea ever

  • Dominic McCall

Cloaking been in the last two cod why it such a big deal now

    • LORDFIST111

campaign my friend. Not MP. Halo has had in MP since day one and it’s been great. Well balanced. It only lats for 30 seconds, once you shoot it goes away, and if you run or walk fast it goes away and you become visible. So if they add that to AW, it’d go over pretty well. People are only cloaked until they shoot. So like for snipers who use it, they’ll be visible. In a way it can be like Future Soldier. When you stand still you’re cloaked, if you are standing straight and move you are visible, altho if you crouch and move you are cloaked, and then if you shoot you’re visible. Super Balanced on both ends.

  • jordanxbrookes

I like the idea of having no fall damage, kinda like in Titanfall. It’d be weird if it were to be implemented, but over time I’m sure everyone will get used to it. EDIT: Thinking about the amount of trickshotters, oh Lord how this feature could go horribly wrong.

    • jooker-jr

They better remove the auto-Aim in AW.

      • Drillz

Nah, it has to stay. Think of all the people that are gonna lay in the grass and cloak. It’s only fair that the player is aware that someone is there with the aim assist feature.

        • smayo

Thats not aim assist, thats auto aim, aim assist slows down the sensitivity when you aim on/over a target, auto aim moves your weapon to a certain target automatically and should be removed

          • Mark Christensen

you sir are dumb… try running past an enemy at a decent range while the enemy is within your crosshair. do this a couple times and see for your self that your crosshair stays on the enemy for a while. indicating that there is an enemy. this is aim assist and what he ment(i think).

      • VVFZ

Shut the fuck up I HIGHLY doubt you are skilled enough to hit a jumping and strafing target without aim-assist.

        • jooker-jr

          If I wasn’t ” skilled enough ” I will learn with time

          • VVFZ

Do you even know what aim-assist does? It helps your aim when the target is moving since it is A LOT harder to aim with joysticks than with a mouse and keyboard. That’s why PC doesn’t have aim-assist. Play a game without aim-assist and come back telling me you went 0-30. Next time before you post a stupid comment like that, just think “would an idiot say that?”

          • jooker-jr

I play bf4 on the ps4 without aim assist.

          • Ben

So what? Still, I don’t see your problem with aim assist… it doesn’t help that much.

          • jooker-jr

It does help ( at least in bf4 )

    • Freeze

      Haha true

    • TheShadowReaper

i doubt it will be implemented without some kind of perk. the exosuits are really heavy equipment. what makes you being able to break doors, run faster or boost jump can also lead to your uncalled death if you fall from 30 feet height or more. i believe to help this they will probably give a perk where you can boost your way to the ground nice and slow, like in the induction trailer.

  • *** This is copy and pasted from a comment that I posted a while ago about how I think the invisibility could work.
I think I would like to see invisibility in MP. But only if it is balanced. I feel like it should be something that goes in your tactical slot, and has a time limit(Perhaps 5 seconds?). I also think it should not be fully invisible, like you can see ripples in the air where the person is(Hard to explain, hope you understand).
-This is only my opinion, please don’t rave on me. Feel free to express yours! 😀

    • jooker-jr

      Great suggestion.

  • Instead of cloaking abilities they could make a riot shield that when placed down becomes a cloaking system that you could hide behind.

    • jooker-jr

I don’t think it’s a great idea. Because it’s hard in bo2 to kill someone from behind a placed riot shield

Btw : cute profile pic 🙂

  • Hostslayer

They should do it like how it is in Halo 3. Back in the good o’ days

  • Alexander Thomas

i like the idea of cloaking but i think it should have some restrictions such as a time limit (under 10-5 sec.) and /or you have to crouch while using it

  • destsicate

If they put cloaking in mp i’ll be dissapointed and will not be buying this game its not halo titanfall or crisis

    • Hostslayer

This is innovation this is what everyone wants…

      • Kill Denied

        Not everyone

        • Guywithbrains

Then why not pick a Call of Duty from last 6 games (MW1-Ghosts with no innovation) if new things aren’t interesting?

          • Kill Denied

            Can you rephrase that?

          • Guywithbrains

I just meant that people who don’t like idea of going to future stuff, can stay in previous games. There is 5 different Call of Dutys from modern time, 1 from near future and I’m not sure how many from the past. So pick one and enjoy.

BTW: I don’t mean that these games haven’t any innovation, I’m just claiming that after MW1 there hasn’t been such big innovation as now in AW.

          • destsicate

Cloaking is nothing new weve seen it in other games and tbh i dont want to rushing around a map just for some invisable noob with a shotgun camping in the corner n tbh id happily go back to black ops 2 if AW is aflop like ghosts

          • Guywithbrains

Cloaking isn’t anything new, I know. But if you have played one game which has this ability, you know that it has been balanced like Crysis and Halo.

          • destsicate

It just promotes camping like i said n yes but this isnt halo or crisis we you need to stop compairing it to those games i welcome it in the campaign but i just feel it’ll ruin the mp just imagen youre on a sick gun streak n you get killed by some noob headglitching whilst cloaked then getting killed by another guy sitting in the corner cloaked sound fun ? The only people who like the sound of this are campers or people not very good at the game

          • Hostslayer

What do you mean since MW2 everything been the same.

      • Baldmanz_RAGE

This is not innovation. Its copy and paste. Why doesn’t anyone compare this game to BO2. Most of this crap was in their campaign but Treyarch was smart enough not to put in MP. You want to play a game were everyone is cloaked? This is going to be worse than all the bush- wookie, camping motherfuckers in Ghosts. Mark my words, you say innovation, I say everyone will be sick of that shit in one week. The game will be dead before the first weekend. I pray they are not stupid enough to put this shit in MP.

        • Hostslayer

          Then what is?

          • Baldmanz_RAGE

I’m saying the cloaking isn’t innovating. The exo-suits are. Most everything else had been done before in other fps games. It’s going to be hard to innovate anything now a days. I really don’t think these games need innovation personally. These developers are losing themselves by trying to innovate.

          • kyr95

SHG isnt trying to make an innovatine FPS game, its trying to make an innovative Cod game. Everyone has their opinions about the cloaking feature, but hey we dont even know if it will be on MP yet, just wait and see man 🙂 So far, though, things are looking great!

    • Freeze

      don’t be ignorant

    • Baldmanz_RAGE

      I’m with you!!!

  • sonny

the only way i can see overdrive making it into MP is if they do it max payne 3 style with bullet time, where everyone looking at that player slows down.

  • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

Anyone know if FearCrad’s statements on Twitter are true? He said Blitz and Sliding are returning. Plus there’s this: http://gamingbolt.com/call-of-duty-advanced-warfare-taking-fan-feedback-to-avoid-ghosts-mistakes#2oTKRFo1fxUcJh6u.99

I think the Exosuits will be significantly dumbed down.

    • Why should there be Blitz if CTF is confirmed to return?

      • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

FearCrads has seen the game and confirmed it. Weren’t Hardpoint and Headquarters in BO2? Hmm.

  • ChevyD

They need to remove auto-aim in AW. Too many kids thinking they are 1337 or something when actually they have an aim assist supporting that acts like an aimbot. Certainly need to disable the function for eSports matches and competitive play and let’s see how they cope having to aim without handicaps.

    • GodLikeLeftNut

agree! been saying this for years but aiming must be smooth! aiming in BO2 on xbox is lumpy (likes its built around aim assist) and ghosts is not very precise with minute movemnts but i havent played much ghosts so i just might not be used to it.

      • Guzzo

try playing on the PS controller, it’s even worse. PS controller is not built for shooters.

        • GodLikeLeftNut

if you dont want to move from PS might want to keep your eye on something called mayflash you can use an xbox controller on your PS but nothing atm for the newer consoles (Y)

        • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

          The PS4 controller is.

    • LarryBeech

Well said. I never use aim assist because it is no fun and makes matches far too easy. It’s tough to master at first but once you become accustomed to it; it feels so much more satisfying. I can’t stand all these Optic/Faze/Envy players who think they are incredible gamers when actually they’d be torn to buggery without it. My K/D is 1.37 without aim assist and my accuracy is 21% on Black Ops 2 which is greater than most of these so called ‘pros’ who have an accuracy of under 20% yet use aim assist lol!

COD has become more simple and dumbed down since it came to consoles and particularly on Ghosts; it just seems to play into ‘noobs’ hands with such basic features and overpowered stuff. It takes no skill and if Sledgehammer want to bring COD back where it belongs; they need to do away with things that make it so simple. It’s like a team having a 3-0 head start in football – it’s stupid.

      • GodLikeLeftNut

you knows that!. on xbox its kinda wank but CoD has very simple aiming. its tracking that takes skill with a thumb stick that aim assist takes away as you dont need to hold or adust at the acceleration point(s), just wack the thumb stick in the direction a few times and aim assist will fill in the gaps for you. it would be nice to have a no aim assist league play of some sort ^_^

      • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

You can’t turn aim assist off.

  • jnasty

Call of halo:Ttanfall crisis out nov 4th :p

    • Freeze

Nobody cares. Leave the community you POS.

      • optic

The cod comunity is now full of trash talking fanboys acting big

        • Says the guy named Optic. You shouldn’t be in the fucking comments section if you don’t like the community.

          • optic

            #codfanboy
But seriously look at how you just spoke point proven and i used to love the cod comun but now to many whiny kids that think they the shit cause they got a 0.529 kd im miss the black ops days when cod was fun i dont dis like cod by anymeans apart from ghosts the only people who fangirl over that are people that has never played a good cod

          • So my logic proved your point? Please leave this website, you waste of 13 fucking brain cells. 😀

        • Freeze

Sorry If I seemed that way, this guy is just trying to be funny and the jokes are very annoying. IDk if your the same guy but the same jokes was used on titanfall, but now people are doing it to cod, just let the devs be.

  • jnasty

This game looks like titanfall n black ops2 had a baby

    • Freeze

That’s cute, you liked your own dumb post.

  • Yeah, the boost jumps are definitely a new idea. I have never seen that before. Oh, wait…. we have. Nvm then.

    • kyr95

Oh yeah right. When was the last time we saw them in Cod? Ohhh right…never!

      • LovekillerX

If you’re asking me I don’t remember that there is Call of Duty which includes boost jumps.

        • kyr95

Exactly people have been bragging how this game copies either Titanfall or Crysis ( while it borrows only a very few elements from each one) Even Michael and Glen stated it that this game will change Cod, not the FPS genre in general.

          • LovekillerX

Yep. And for those who says this copies Titanfall this game was in development before Titanfall. Or that is what I have read. You can tell me facts if I am wrong. But I’m right with kyr95 when I say that there isn’t Call of Duty which includes boost jumping or many of these things listed in the article.

People just can’t admit that Call of Duty is going to whole new direction. Call of Duty haters yell even if everything would be changed. That will never change. But we who really care about Call of Duty, we don’t have to listen those “yellings.” We can ignore them. Of course they have right to have own opinion but that yelling all over the internet before the game is even released is stupid. Especially when there is a new developer Sledgehammer Games. They have proved that they really care.

Call of Duty will always be one of my favourites and nothing will change that. I will preorder this game as soon as possible and enjoy every piece of it. People who don’t care about Call of Duty can leave it to store’s shelf. People who wan’t to buy it will buy it and buying the game is everyone’s own thing. Peace.

          • kyr95

Yeah, although im not so sure which game was in development first, and IT doesnt matter! Excuse me, but the only single thing that i see in AW similar to Titanfall is double jump ( which first of all, was not ‘created’ by Titanfall, and as we’ve seen it works completely different in both games-e.g. wall running in Titanfall).
Titanfall is a game about soldiers fighting each others with Titans, in AW we have soldiers fighting each other with exo-suits attached to them which at least is more logical for them to have the ability to jump very high with them!

          • LovekillerX

You’re right. And in the end it doesn’t matter who was first because it isn’t anyone’s patent or anything like that so it is meant for free usage. Can’t wait to see more how exosuit works.

          • kyr95

Exactly lots of games borrow elements from others, they just now hate on cod for doing something like that, because…its cod -_-

          • LovekillerX

Yeah people hate the game just because in the cover it says “Call of Duty.” Which is a shame because they praise Nintendo Games which are “so innovative” and these games “always changes.” Well some people really don’t learn. I really appriciate developer’s hard work. I really care about gaming industry and how far it have went generally. What we will see about after 10 years in the future? Just wondering.

Anyway hype train is going fast towards november and I really hope that you kyr95 are on that train already! 😀 If not then get aboard and to the eternity! Lol 😀

          • kyr95

Im on the front wagon 😉 Also, i showed the gameplay to many friends of mine without telling what game is it, they were astonished and then surprised even more when i told them its Cod! Now that SHG is victory for me! 😉

          • Freeze

This game is going to make history. I am soo hoping for innovation

          • kyr95

Man this wouldnt have happen without SHG.I mean seriously would you expect from IW, even from 3arch to innovate the franchise in such way? It was SHG’s mission from the beginning when the decided to make a 3rd person Cod! ( seriously i hope to see that in the future!)

          • Freeze

I played mw2 in third person and it feels really good, with the god controls 3rd person is amazing.

          • kyr95

And were talking about the creators of Dead Space! ( ive started playing it yesterday and seeing Michael’s and Glen’s names first on the intro made me happy! 😀 )

          • Freeze

            Just get all giddy inside.

          • kyr95

Haha i dont even know what that means haha 😛

          • Freeze

Kindof like very excited. Like when I get something new sometimes I get all giddy. Excitement you get get rid of no matter ho much you talk about it

          • kyr95

            Ah i see haha 😀

          • LovekillerX

I guess that many were surprised especially when they saw the graphic change. I have read comments all over the internet and people really start to be a little bit more positive. Many people really consider preordering this game including me.

          • TheShadowReaper

i’m still waiting for my cock-sucking moronic local retailer to get the advanced weaponry pre-order version of AW. else i would have already pre-ordered.

          • kyr95

            Which retailer? 😛

          • TheShadowReaper

            mantepse…Plaisio. =.=

          • kyr95

            Hahahaha me too! xD

          • TheShadowReaper

yeah, dat feeling of waiting. it sucks man.

          • kyr95

            Hang in there!

          • LovekillerX

If I may ask where in Greece (if that is the country) you live? I mean you don’t have to tell the place’s name where you live. Do you live near Athens? Just wondering how many retailers there are?

          • kyr95

Yep near Athens! Not many retailers unfortunately, almost none 😛 Most popular and i think the best is Plaisio.

          • LovekillerX

Okay that is too bad for you. Hopefully you get your preorder stuff if going to preorder. I live in Finland near capital city and that is why I have so many retailers near. But those prices… Huge taxes and stuff like that. Games in US costs 60-70 dollars and here it is 60-70 euros… usually 70 euros. How are the prices in Greece?

          • TheShadowReaper

around the same. the prices arent a problem, the salaries and taxes are. and these are a problem of our own, not ATVI or any other company. but it would be nice if there was to be a small cutoff in prices someday. it hurts to buy a 60 euro priced game these days. and unfortunately it drives most of us Greek gamers to piracy which is a thing i dont like but what can you do…

          • LovekillerX

I know what you’re talking about. These taxes are so huge in EU. That is why games costs so much. I have to pay about 24% taxes when I buy something like a game. With taxes price is around 60-70 euros. That is so sad that we have to pay so much from one game. And price drop isn’t “in sight” for a while.

          • TheShadowReaper

exactly. our VAT is also around 23/24% which is a bitch. it just downright hurts to buy a game these days and that’s the main reason i dont buy retail anymore. i just wait for Steam sales. it drives me insane cause i like having a hard copy of my games but when it costs so much…uhh, you know.

          • LovekillerX

I know. I like to get hard copy too and I have to pay that huge price because I buy games for PS3/PS4 (in the future more usually for PS4.) It just sucks that you have to pay that price. I have to admit that I can’t wait those price drops. I usually just throw the money to desk and say “one of these please.”

          • TheShadowReaper

throw the money at their face! ohhhhhhh! “moneybanged!” 360 yoloswap scope MLG pro! x)

          • TheShadowReaper

we have about 2-3 but the best option by far is Plaisio. these guys even tail E3 closely and watch which games are on demand and they bring those over here. the good thing is that they bring lots of games.

for example, their PC pre-order page alone has:
            The Crew
            NBA 2K 15
            AC: Unity
            Ultra Street Fighter IV
            Dying Light
            WoW: Warlords of Draenor
            Evolve
            DA: Inquisition
            ME: Shadow of Mordor
            Batman Arkham Knight
            The Evil Within
            Sims4
            CoD: Advanced Warfare
            +++++ a lot of games.

we arent as bad as many people think. people like to exaggerate a lot. since the beginning of time.

          • Freeze

            Huh what?

          • TheShadowReaper

its a local retail store called Plaisio. dont even bother looking up for it, its Greek and only here in Greece. 🙂

          • Freeze

I was going to say, I looked it up and got a bunch of greek stuff

          • TheShadowReaper

yep, Greek stuff. that’s Plaisio! 😛

          • Abraham

Regardless of which game began development first, major concepts of the game do not come into development on day one. For all we know, the ability to boost jump was added a year ago. There’s nothing necessarlily wrong with SH getting ideas from Titanfall, as long as they do their own thing with it.

          • LovekillerX

This “that copied from that so stupid!!” thing is absolutely pointless. In the end it doesn’t really matter if there are some features from the Titanfall. Let’s remember that Titanfall have features from other games too and in generally almost every game have some features or elements from other games.

That boost jumping must be done right so it can work in multiplayer – if it will even get there. We already saw that boost jumping (or atleast I think so) in E3 2014 demo. With that ability you can reach areas easier so you don’t have to find for example ladders. Good addition to multiplayer if it ever gets there.

          • jordanxbrookes

FPS is a genre, not a franchise 😛

          • kyr95

            Yeah sorry mispelled haha 😛

  • GodLikeLeftNut

watch out incoming retards gonna be all liek scuf dodge n scuf boost. almost punched my mate for saying scuf jump, its jump just jump i dont say logitec g19s keyboard jump xD

  • Tayler Hammond

Most likely this Exo-skeleton will replace the perk system. And applying upgrades to the suit will be like getting a pro perk, or applying points to different areas would be like equiping different perks. A player may earn points they can use to spend on exo-suit upgrades. Kind of like CoD Points in Black Ops. I feel like possibly they will go the Treyarch way also with any perks affecting the user’s weapon will be attachments. And normal perks that effect the user itself will be normal perks This new suit also gives us new “perks” to use as well. This is all speculation. But to me, it seems very likely to happen.

    • kyr95

Its the most possible senario i think. Very clever way to implement them onto multiplayer, if you ask me. 🙂

      • TheShadowReaper

so…that means i am very clever? cause i am thinking about that since the first trailer…oh well.

        • kyr95

Well your IQ is definitely over a 170 so yeah 😀

          • TheShadowReaper

i dont know about my IQ but i definitely do not think like most people do. 😛

          • kyr95

            Well then youre special >:D

  • jordanxbrookes

Guys if cloaking were to be in multiplayer, I’m guessing it would look something like this, where you’re not totally invisible:

    • Guywithbrains

Are those pictures from that video, which we got to see a while ago? Those images just seems new to me atleast. 🙂

      • jordanxbrookes

Yeah, it was from the Art and Animation BTS video.

        • Guywithbrains

Then I missed totally something… well now I saw those, thanks. 😀

          • jordanxbrookes

            Anytime 🙂

    • Tappy

      ****Stating the bloody obvious****

      • Freeze

        How is this so?

      • jordanxbrookes

Well to some, they think cloaking means completely invisible.

    • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

Looks a lot like BO2’s cloaking.

  • Grenada!

Here’s the thing, I feel that it the suit abilities are just going to pretty much replace perks but be called something different. Or you’ll pick 3 perks and a suit ability. In my opinion that’s not going to change up the gameplay as much as a thought, so I really hope there is more to it, otherwise it’s just going to be CoD with a suit ability. Don’t disappoint SHG. Oh and also, no Cloak in MP, I guarantee it will be annoying and you’ll have people complaining about how broken and un-balanced it is a month after the game is launched.

    • kyr95

The thing that will change mostly the gameplay will be the verticality from all the abilities that the exo offers ( double jumping, doging, making your own shields perhaps etc etc. ) Hang in there, though, 1 more month ! 😀

      • Grenada!

Still, if we only have one ability at a time, it’s not going to be that big of a change. For example, imagine playing Ghosts with a perk that you can use to have the Titanfall boost jump, it would change the gameplay slightly but that that much.

        • kyr95

Well tbh i dont think we can have one ability at a time. You know what else could also work? Having all the abilities already but by equipping the ‘exo-perks’, they are enchanced offering more choices and opportunities gameplay wise. Of course, again, i dont know how many abilities we’ll have. 😛

          • Grenada!

Yeah, I think we should have most of the abilities be default on MP, rather than being restricted to only allowed to use one. I guess we have to wait until we get the MP reveal.

          • kyr95

The question, though, is…can we wait? 😛

          • Freeze

            Eh, i don’t think so.

          • STEALTHD3M0N

Well I can as we’ve got destiny beta, battlefield 4 dragons teeth and then we will have gamescom then Destiny and hopefuly that should keep me busy till November.

        • Guywithbrains

I don’t think that we are only going to have one ability at a time. Maybe atleast three and of course perk system like head would have marksman or portable radar kind of things, body would have explosive resistance and strength abilities and legs would have speed and so on. There is for now enough new to call it actually new. AW has already much more new features than last Call of Dutys and also I think that more is yet to come.

  • Freeze

I’ve got a screenshot for everyone. This is from a HD Version of the advanced arsenal video. I believe it is a shotgun, and opinions?

    • kyr95

It sure looks like it! Man, it looks beast! Look at those iron sights! >:D

      • LovekillerX

Does that look like UTS19? It was under shotguns some time ago but now it is unknown weapon in wiki.

        • kyr95

          Hmmm…could as well be! 😀

          • LovekillerX
          • kyr95

Wow they look really similar, it could be the future version of this gun! 😀

          • Freeze

IMO the gun in my picture seemed to get smaller near the end, unlike the UTS

          • LovekillerX

Well it could be “modified” or “futuristic” version of the gun. And UTS19 is listed in the wiki so it could be possible that we get UTS19 in the game. But we can’t really say what weapon it is we can just speculate.

          • Freeze

Well the UTS is (pretty much) the tac 12, and yes that could be a possibility.

          • TheShadowReaper

yeah but what if there is a twist? what if…it doesnt shoot pellets? maybe plasma? would love to see something new.

      • Freeze

        Very smexy irons

        • kyr95

          Mmmm so sexe :3

          • Freeze

could this be an Fal? Theres another gun that has that little thing on the side like a cube.

          • kyr95

Im not sure really, this might as well be the “M4A1” of AW 😛

          • Freeze

What other gun has this, cause I know one of the guns from a n older game does.

          • kyr95

Ah that is also in the gun shown at E3, its a grip of the new “ammo container” which contains liquid ,that after being processed by the mini computer on the core of the gun, is transformed into regular bullets.

          • Freeze

Ah thank you! That was bugging me! I couldn’t see the little ammo counter so thought it was totally diff. THNX

          • kyr95

No big, seriously though 3d ammo printer!! if thats not innovative then i dont know what is!

          • Freeze

I know what it, the thunder blasting shotgun in Induction.

          • kyr95

            Sound Wave Blaster FTW!

          • Freeze

Ah I see, yno that cloaking picture JXB posted? I think it is the FAL for sure. The three lines across the side are very similar to three dots on bo1 fal

          • kyr95

You might be right! 😀 😀 One of my favorite guns from MW2.

          • Freeze

Look how similar he holds it, and the main shape.

          • kyr95

Indeed! And with the silencer it looks very similar! 😀

          • Freeze

            ::)

          • Michael

I’ve never seen that advanced warfare pic before. Where did you get that from?

          • jordanxbrookes

            Me lol

          • Freeze

            yeah, that guy

          • ApoX

The M4A1 from mw3 has it. Also the assault rifle from Titanfall.

          • Freeze

            yes thanks!

          • TheShadowReaper

that’s the M4A1 in MW3. maybe its the future version? i dunno.

          • Run N Gunning Camper

It looks like a Target Finder and a Red Dot Sight.

          • Freeze

I believe it it the hybrid sight from one of the trailers.

  • The Untoten

cloaking is never done right in any multiplayer game its ever been included in. not to mention its gimmicky and isnt original to the fps multiplayer world.

  • Michael

If cloaking comes to multiplayer as a killstreak then I’ll be happy BUT it must be a high killstreak (ex: 20 killstreaks) because it would be way to op if it was a perk. Nowadays people like to abuse the most op thing in a video game and cloaking can’t be abusive in this game. The dodge jump to cover mechanic would be a cool addition to the game though. Other than that it was a good observation CharlieIntel.

  • zezoish

    Darude – sandstorm

    • jooker-jr

      So ?

  • XB1Terry

I don’t care about the exo suit, the cloaking, the jumping, the guns or anything until Sledgehammer announce that the game will run at 60fps locked and 1080p on the Xbox One. Anything less will make this game worthless. I’ve seen the demo sank to 28fps on 900p and this simply isn’t good enough. It may not be complete but you’d expect them to announce long before now the running specs. I fear this game will be 700p and 30fps which will make it not worth playing not for looks but performance. Frame stutters and lag could ultimately kill anything good the devs do right from the start. It’s inevitable that the MP will be visually downgraded for the sake for consistent performance – a big sacrifice but if the single player can’t handle it; it’ll be a ‘next gen’ failure.

    • Freeze

I can guarantee 60fps, that is a thing cod always has. Sorry bud but xb1 probably will not hit 1080p.

    • AndyC

This game will probably sit at 30fps – I have never ever seen a demo with a counter go from 60fps to under 25fps in six seconds. Certainly raised a few eyebrows and rung alarm bells with the industry experts. Multiplayer will probably been downscaled heavily in looks and detail anyway but I think their ambition may override performance in AW.

      • Freeze

The campaign might but MP will not, I guarantee

  • jooker-jr

I know SHG wants the game to be based on real life technology but I’d love to see a bow in AW.

  • JDahn

I like all those things except Overdrive and of course except CLOAKING!! If you put cloaking ,even if it’s not OP ,it will ruin the game!

  • Tommy Day

All I have to say is good luck balancing this Sledgehammer. This all sounds like one OP f*ck fest! If people want this in a game go play Titanfall.

    • Freeze

I feel bad for you. Such an ignorant thing stuck in your poor body. If you don’t remember people said the same thing about titanfall, people need to have some faith and stop giving the devs shit.

      • Tommy Day

First of all, thank u for the compliment. Second, I actually have no idea what anyone said about Titanfall because once I seen game play, I knew it wasn’t my type of game. So keep ur shorts on know it all. Everybody is entitled to an opinion.

        • Freeze

No matter what your opinion is, It is not mature to bash devs that have spent 3 years of their time. If you have never played titanfall, why would you mention it? They are totally different but you just seem to be to immature to tell.

  • MrPRHz.

I think the Exo-suits will be the new perk system, you can pick 3 abilities for your suit.

  • honky

get your fucking opinions out of here CI you are a NEWS website not a titanfall bashing website

    • Ryumoau

      what are you babbling about?

    • jordanxbrookes

No it’s not a news site, it’s a blog, if you want a news site, go to BBC.

      • Ryumoau

        lol great point.

  • Ryumoau

I’m okay with everything listed being in multiplayer except for Cloaking. Cloaking is never fun and sometimes ruins multiplayer games that impliment it, like Crysis. It will only encourage more camping and skilled players shouldn’t need something like that.

  • The Telephone Pole

I think an E.M.P will be available causing the exo-skeleton users hit to turn into a normal classic COD soldier for a while. And those who are not hit will be fast and have the perks, which is considered normal for that time.

  • Andrew

I personally think that your Exoskeleton will act as your perk system in multiplayer. Being able to add upgrades to the exoskeleton that allow you quickdraw, extended run duration, faster reloading and so forth. That’s my opinion anyway.

    • LovekillerX

And now that you said it… it could work don’t you think? So called perks would still be there and in addition you have your exosuit. I don’t see any negative about that. In my opinion new additions are welcome and I am ready for the new era. Which platform you are choosing for Advanced Warfare if you are going to buy it?

  • BrotherhoodOfSteel

I know this has nothing to do with cloaking and what not, but I’d like to give my input on the scoop for Exoskeleton customization in multiplayer, and how I think its going to go down. It could go one of 3 ways.
1.) The perks you choose are what makes your Exoskeleton look like, similar to Black Ops, when the 1st perk you choose results in your characters skin. For instance, if I pick Flak Jacket, I should have a totally bulky exoskeleton with bigger plates and stronger armor. Or if I pick Sleight of Hand, it adds some little tubes and pipes that emit smoke when you reload to make the joints of your armor move faster. etc. etc. etc.
2.) It could just be like Ghosts, with armor presets unlocked via challenges :/
3.) Highly unlikely, but there might not be any Exoskeleton upgrades in multiplayer. This is like I said, highly unlikely, because there already is in campaign. Whether or not they appear in 3rd person is for us to find out soon!

    • LovekillerX

Sledgehammer Games have said that “imagine what is in singleplayer and put that into multiplayer” so we should really expect exosuit upgrades. It is not exactly said with those words but the point is same. Exosuit upgrades would work as a new perk system. But we can just speculate because we don’t know yet. I really think that more information is going to be revealed at Gamescom on August.

      • BrotherhoodOfSteel

True that. Like I said, Exoskeleton upgrades in multiplayer is a must, and is very unlikely to not show up.
However, with the already new bullet brass pre order item, this actually hints as to what we may expect from the Exoskeletons in MP.
Since there are already downloadable skins for your suit, doesn’t this hint that it wont really be upgrading, just getting different skins via challenges in multiplayer?

        • LovekillerX

You may be right. It would be nice if there would be same old perk system and just exosuit skins and stuff like that. But new “perk system” is also welcome so I don’t really mind. Important thing here is that they have to make it work well. For example already mentioned exosuit upgrades which allows you to move faster and stuff like that would be nice. But we will see more at Gamescom on August. 🙂

          • BrotherhoodOfSteel

Is Gamescom when they are showing the MP trailer?

          • LovekillerX

People think so but we can’t be sure. Last year multiplayer was revealed at Gamescom.

          • BrotherhoodOfSteel

Cool. Can’t wait. Its really the only thing I look forward to in August, because that’s when school starts back up, but we get the CoD MP trailer.

          • LovekillerX

Yep that’s right! But as I said we can’t be sure but we can always hope. Of course it can be some new campaign gameplay but I would like to see the multiplayer and of course that co-op mode (like Zombies in Black Ops 2.)

  • Sentinel

An example of assuming the game is going to be new experience as promise by ubisoft…Total bullshit!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idA9BEA4Hxs

    • Guywithbrains

If you talk about downgrading, this case might be different. Watch Dogs developer Ubisoft developed the whole game for current gen and old gen. Now, what SHGames does, is that they only make current gen version and old gen version is done by other studio. So this leads to one fact: SHGames current gen version is going to be much better looking than old gen based on the fact that old gen version is done by another studio (maybe Transformer games studio Highmoon?)

I think that we are getting 900p 60fps Call of Duty. 1080p and 60fps is too much for Xbox One (sorry, didn’t want to be mean or start a fight) and SHGames has already stated that they are going to make both console versions to play same resolution and fps, if I’m not wrong?

      • Sentinel

Yeah high moon studios is only working with old gen & that’s BS, why would SHG downgrade the game on PS4 just cause Xbox one can’t handle high settings! It stills looks nice on the gameplay shown at E3 thoe

        • jooker-jr

Since the architectures in the last gen consoles are difficult and unique. It will take a lot of time to port it

  • NuttyTheSquirrel

Although the exo-suit is a BIG part of this game, I don’t think that all it’s abities should be in the game.

Boost Jumping – I wouldn’t mind if Boost-jumping was in MP, but it had to be a slower jump.

Dodge-Jump – NOPE, NOPE, NOPE, NOPE! If it is like in the Single-player, I can guarantee that it will be abused as fuck. And if it makes to the multiplayer, it should lock your shooting…

    Overdrive – NO.

Strength – I don’t know how it could be implemented on the MP, maybe to breach doors or something, but “improvising” a shield on-the-go probably doesn’t work that way… The riot-shield usually takes a weapon slot. But if there are no weapon slots available, how can it be equiped? It could work like Crysis, you pick it up, but if you choose something from your inventory, your characters drops the “improvised shield”.

I also think that these will probably be perks, which makes sense.
Maybe Overdrive could only enhance certain parts of the body (make them faster), giving you different perks like Sleight of Hand; Lightweight; Marathon; Stalker; Strong-Arm; Quickdraw/Dexterity; Fast-Hands and so on…
Strength could give you no fall damage; (Flak Jacket;) Steady Aim; Toughness and so on. And also give you some other perks/wildcards like Danger Close/Tactician…

EDIT: I would also like to see the MW2 PRO versions of Perks, I loved that system. It gave me multiple obejctives/challenges while I was playing a match. In Black Ops II the only challenge I aim for are the weapons challenges (camos).

    • jooker-jr

Hopefully Dodge jump will be chargeable maybe like one every 30 seconds.
After bo2 I don’t want to see any explosives resistance perk

      • NuttyTheSquirrel

I don’t wanna see any of the exo-suit abilities shown so far.

But if they do something like I said above, I wouldn’t mind.

  • Mr codman1976

I think the exo-suits will be there just to slot your perks onto, I think we maybe looking to much into the suits. Just imagine if you could look at a character with the exo suit on in a game and you can see all his perks on and activated.

    • GodLikeLeftNut

that would be cool like in BO1 were they wear gear the resembles the perks they have, like flat jacket but no icon. :oh that guy didnt die to my C4 oh that because i can clearly see hes wearing a flak jack ^_^

  • thebulky1cometh

We had overdrive in BLOPS2- we all called it lag.

    • Perry

It just sounds like a combination of Lightweight and Marathon. AW; Innovative? Bah! They’re just renaming stuff and copying old games. Still have not seen 1 original thing in this game.

      • Freeze

        haha go away

      • jooker-jr

The 3d printer gun ?? The smart grenade ?? Exo suits ( nano suits in crysis )??

    • Bob Mit

We also have a laser gun in Bo2 that kills people in a instant. It is called the Remington 870 MCS.

  • Joey Woof

No offense to sledgehammer or anything, but in real life a car door wouldn’t protect you from bullets. Just saying

    • But it wasn’t against bullets 😛

      • Joey Woof

Even against a million tiny flying robots it would get utterly destroyed.

        • Not really…

          • Joey Woof

A car door is commonly made with Aluminum, Aluminum is a soft medal which means in the way of protection from hundreds of flying robots. After 30 or so robots the door would lose integrity and from then on the condition would worse and worse. Believe me as a dog who has been in multiple car accidents Aluminum doesn’t protect from a lot of force. Maybe in 2052 the material will be much sturdier and be able to withstand such force but with modern materials the door and you, would look like a mushy red block of Swiss Cheese. My paws hurt really bad now from all of that typing.

          • BUT FUTURE MAN! FUTUREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

          • Joey Woof

            hehehe

          • I didn’t allow you to laugh.

          • Joey Woof

at least you didn’t say bad dog

    • Bob Mit

      What??????

    • jooker-jr

But it will protect u from drones I guess.

    • Joey, where is Riley?
Haven’t seen him in a while.

      • Joey Woof

He is working on Mo-Cap for Cod Ghosts 2.

  • godric

Maybe the exo-suit will be like create a class, where you choose say; three perks and those affect how your exo functions. Like you would equip boost jump as one of your perks in-game. For cloaking, maybe they are harder to see, but like in the picture above, still visible a slight amount.

  • Charlie

I think Boost jumping, jump dodging and strength could work for sure, cloaking when balanced correctly can work. Here’s what I want to see from MP and Create a Class. (I use Ghosts perks for the most part for reference.)

Standard Primary, Secondary, Lethal and Tactical of course.

TIER ONE: Choose an Exo, each with unique built in features.

    1. The Lightweight- [Sacrifice boost level for speed and agility]

Core Mechanics: Movement Speed (Includes jump-dodging and boosting speed) = 115%. Max Boost Level = 50%
    Core Abilities:
    Marathon- Unlimited Sprint.
Agility- Increased movement speed (built in)
Reflex- Swap weapons and use equipment faster
Dexterity- Mantle, boost and climb faster.
Ready-Up- Weapon ready faster after sprinting and quicker melee recovery.

    2. The Ghost- [Well balanced exo with built in stealth attributes]

Core Mechanics: Movement Speed = 100%. Max Boost Level = 75%
    Core Abilities:
Assassin- Invisible from radar when moving.
Dead Silence- Footsteps & character noise completely silent.
Incog- Resistant to targeting systems & no red name/crosshairs when targeted.
Takedown- Kill enemies without revealing their death locations.

    3. The Juggernaut- [Sacrifice movement speed for strength and durability]

Core Mechanics: Movement Speed = 85%. Max Boost Level = 100%
    Core Abilities:
Blast Shield- Increased explosive resistance, slight resistance to tactical grenades.
Fully Loaded- Start with maximum ammo capacity.
Toughness- Throw equipment further and reset fuse on grenades.
Hardened- Increased damage to enemy streaks & reduced flinch when shot.

TIER TWO: Exo Upgrades (Adopt point system similar to Ghosts) 5 points available.
(Can sacrifice grenades, weapons for extra points.)

Stuff that makes sense as eco upgrades would go here, 1, 2 and 3 point options including 1 big point item.
Examples: On the Go, Sleight of Hand, Stalker, Quickdraw, Sitrep
5 point option: Cloak- Nearly invisible when moving for 6 seconds. Shooting reveals part of your character. Staying in one spot for more than 2 seconds reveals you entirely.
    Refresh interval = 10 seconds.

TIER THREE: Perks- 5 points available

    Everything else.
Examples: Extra tactical/lethal, extra attachments, Scavenger, Recon, Iron Lungs.

What you guys think? I think it can be well balanced and pretty cool change to MP. Add new perks/upgrades that work with the new exoskeletons. Things like longer dash and slide. Sorry for the long post.

    • Guywithbrains

That sounds pretty good. I like that The Juggernaut would lose movement speed, but get more strength for example as you said. 😉

  • CBasss

Cloaking never works out well in multiplayer shooters. I think players will abuse cloaking if is in AW

  • FederalAce

Pretty sure no one would like overdrive and cloaking in mp

  • Booker T

if you want an idea how these features would work, go play gotham city imposters and look at some gadgets

  • K1LL_KRAZY

Cloaking is too OP. Imagine playing blitz or capture the flag. If you’re near the zone you’d turn it on and go in. It should be a killstreak if any though. If it’s an attachment then it’s going to NE way too overpowered for multiplayer.

    • K1LL_KRAZY

      Going to be*
