In the Activision quarterly earnings call, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg stated that purchase intent for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is significantly higher than that of Ghosts at this time last year, based on internal metrics. Hirshberg stated that the intent is higher even with the multiplayer portion of the title not being revealed yet.

In terms of preorders, Activision said they expect Advanced Warfare to lead the industry in preorder numbers, but stated that Call of Duty isn’t immune to industry wide preorder decline. Preorder declines are also associated with players wanting to go Day One digital, and not preorder the title before hand.  Factors include “increased digital consumption, particularly on the next-gen consoles, titles being widely available on day one, and the decline overall of demand for software on previous-gen consoles.”

“However, within that context, we still expect for Call of Duty to lead the industry in pre-orders once again this year,” he added. “We look to other metrics as well, and we’re seeing a lot of strength in those metrics… It’s important to note that pre-orders are just one data point that we look at in determining the momentum of a franchise like this.”

Sledgehammer Games and Activision plan to unveil Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s multiplayer on August 11th at 10am PT.

  • Quite a big step for Activision in realizing preorders are just a number. Really sounds like they and Sledgehammer are really trying their best to provide a Call of Duty that will be much more celebrated then Ghosts was. I honestly think we’re gonna see a Beta/MP Demo for this game

    • Chitownbrez

      I doubt it

      • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

They’d be retarded not to. There’s a beta for Destiny, but not AW? If we don’t test out the game before launch, then the game will be fucked.

    • Aymen Skiken

      wish so *-*

  • PatPatPat

Can someone sum this up differently? Im lost.

    • That Lucas Kid

Advanced Warfare > Ghosts – More purchases

      • PatPatPat

        Great, thanks.

  • Aymen Skiken

lol who wouldn’t know this would happen

  • Guywithbrains

I wish all the best of luck to Sledgehammer Games! After Gamescom MP reveal I will decide if I preorder this game or not. So far campaign looks promising. 🙂

EDIT: It would be nice to have beta for this game. It would really help people to tell if they want to buy this game. After Ghosts people feel unsecure about buying new Call of Duty title, because by nowadays logic if Ghosts failed, then Advanced Warfare is going to fail too. It is not true. Sledgehammer Games is going to kick Treyarch’s and Infinity Ward’s ass and show them how to make people love your product.

  • LovekillerX

I think that people aren’t going to preorder this game because they haven’t seen the multiplayer yet. When they see the multiplayer, then those preorders are going to be in big numbers (that is what I think.) And second reason is that everyone isn’t going to preorder so early and I understand them. There are three months before it is going to be released so don’t start to wonder yet.

By the way I think that this game gets the award for best online shooter at Gamescom 2014. 🙂

    • kyr95

Hmm difficult, theres Far Cry 4 and Evolve also 😛

      • LovekillerX

I am hyped for Advanced Warfare but also for Assassin’s Creed Unity. First AC which interest me so much that I consider buying it. 🙂

        • kyr95

          Wait, let me see…
AC Unity, Far Cry 4, The Evil Within, Cod: AW
My wallet will be empty in no time.

          • LovekillerX

Yeah my wallet cries when I preorder Atlas Pro edition. It costs 119 euros in EU (I think so because on Steam Digital Pro cost 99 euros.) 🙁

          • kyr95

Oh i dont have money for that 😛 Unfortunately ill buy the normal edition. I also remember that theres Metro Redux coming out so yeah… 😛

          • LovekillerX

            Good for you. 😀

          • Siftblade of Rivia

If you plan on getting the season pass, I recomend the digital pro edition. You get the game + season pass + more content for $100. Whereas buying the game and season pass seperate already costs $110, and not buying the season pass will cost you $120 if you plan on buying all the DLC. That’s what I’m doing. Pretty good deal.

          • kyr95

You know what the problem is? On the IW’s MW3 and Ghosts, ive never been able to play multiplayer although my internet speed is high, the game will freeze on the lobby screen everytime, so ive never played any of those season passes. Whereas, with BO2 it plays perfectly, no freeze no reboots nothing.
Thats why im not sure if i should buy the season pass :/

          • Siftblade of Rivia

Ahh, yeah. I’ve had no problems with any previous games so I’m buying it this time. This is the first limited edition type of thing I’m buying. 😛

          • kyr95

I would do it with no hesitation but i cant figure out whats up with this problem

          • Guywithbrains

It sounds like good deal. I’m maybe going to get Atlas Pro edition. I need the full game and it’s season pass. I have never bought season pass or DLC to Call of Duty games, but so far Ghosts seems to deliver. I don’t think that Sledgehammer Games can do worse, but we’ll see it when game launches.

          • Siftblade of Rivia

I was thinking about Atlas Pro because I prefer hard copies of my games, but idk if I should just save the $20 since there are so many great games coming out.

          • Guywithbrains

It seems like every other year is year of the AAA titles. Everything comes out at the same time and our wallets cry a river. I don’t know about you, but Advanced Warfare seems like it is worth my money (119 euros here in EU). It would be my first DLC content to Call of Duty games. 😀

          • Siftblade of Rivia

Yes, it seems worth it, I just need to make sure I have enough for everything before I spend that extra money for the extra content.

          • Guywithbrains

Yeah. I have to save money for books which ones I use in school. I have to buy couple of books and I ain’t getting money in summer vacation so I have to use my savings to get all what is needed to my courses in school. I’ll see then what’s left…

          • Dothepenguin

I bought the season pass for Ghosts, and yes, the game was… Meh, but in my opinion, Ghosts DLC maps are great. So Im going to buy the Atlas Pro edition. 😀

          • kyr95

Can i ask something? Those editions…can be also purchased after the game is released or are they only pre orderable?

          • Siftblade of Rivia

Not sure. I’d assume you can buy it later, but I’m not sure. They’re called limited editions because I think you can only buy them up until a certain time. Maybe they’ll stop selling them after Christmas?

          • kyr95

            Aha, ok thanks 🙂

          • Guywithbrains

Like if u cri evri tim. 🙁

          • Siftblade of Rivia

You have the same lineup as me, lol.

          • kyr95

Hope the same money too 😛

          • MichiganerE

Earlier this year, I bought Titanfall and Infamous: Second Son. Later this year, I’ll be buying Destiny: Limited Edition (If it’s still available, if not, i’ll get the regular version of the game), Assassin’s Creed: Unity (First AC game I’m buying), Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare: Limited Edition (and the Season Pass at some point) and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. So my wallet is fucked.

      • Guywithbrains

I think Evolve is going to take the price. People love the idea that you can play co-op soldiers vs. monster. At least Greg Miller and his fellow players from IGN seemed to love it. Greg Miller were playing as big monster and he just killed everyone haha! 😀

Although I wish that Advanced Warfare would get that price. 😉

        • kyr95

Well its from the makers of Left 4 Dead, and its an original idea, i think it deserves it more, not that AW isnt great 🙂

          • Guywithbrains

Really original indeed. It looks like so much fun with friends playing with you on the couch. I could imagine my friends laughing hard when they would try to kill me as that big ass monster. 😛

          • kyr95

That actually sounds creepy now that youre saying it haha

          • Wonkanator2

I had the evolve alpha on my pc, it really is fun but i see why they delayed it, it was actually very rage inducing to be the monster, i mean, i won almost every time, but even if you evolved all the way, you have to go destroy an objective at the end that the humans will camp and theres nothing you can do, theres a good reason to delay it and hopefully they fix it

        • Price…Price…
          Captain Price confirmed in AW!

        • Abd3l4l

          Delayed till 2015

      • NuttyTheSquirrel

There’s also Siege and The Division (if they appear there with playable demos).

I think The Division would win Advanced Warfare without a fight.

        • Kyle Emery

Advanced warfare be GOTY with Destiny up front. In i doupt division will beat them two

          • Destiny does seem to have a lot of potential. On the other hand, it seems as if it might die out like Titanfall. I don’t know but I think AW will be played longer than Destiny.

          • UpRiftCOD

Maybe for you, for me I’ll be playing that probubly two years from now. Especially if this games a flop. Im not boarding the “hype train” till I see proof.

          • TheTru Cypher

            What’s Titan fall?

          • Titanfall, the game for xbox and pc. Theres a site on the right of the articles image with the games latest news.

          • TheTru Cypher

Oh that game that failed after like 2 weeks?

          • Haydn

            hes joking -_-

          • TheTru Cypher

Since when is any cod played longer than a year ?

          • Abd3l4l

BO1? I still play Zombies with my friends.

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

Since forever… There are people CoD 1 right now.

          • TheTru Cypher

But 90% of the community didn’t stay, I wish I did but the hackers were too much

          • Grenada!

I doubt Advanced Warfare will get GOTY.

          • Haydn

            dont know you know,
The campaign looks a lot more polished than any COD, The multiplayer is sounding like its gonna be good, and a co-op mode too.

        • Abd3l4l

After Watchdogs and the Crew beta… i doubt that.

        • Haydn

You put a lot of faith into a game that has had to be re-thought of to get where it is…

      • MyKogInYourAshe

Evolve got delayed till 2015 🙁

        • MichiganerE

That’s good though. Now, I may actually buy it!

      • Damienjohnnn

        Evolve got delayed till febraury

        • kyr95

          Its still nominated though.

      • Abd3l4l

Evolve has been delayed to 2015.. so ya Far cry 4 and GTA V

      • MeisseN

Far Cry 4 and Division would win a “Best Online Co-Op Shooter” or “Best Online Open-world Shooter” but it’s not necessarily an “Best Multiplayer” (yep a fix to the originally posted “best online shooter” which means an online FPS/TPS) Ah just wordplay

    • Carrisi

I’d preorder for download on xbox one if it downloaded before so ready at midnight, like the ps4 does

      • LovekillerX

That feature is very useful and I think that I’m going to use that some day. But from Advanced Warfare I want physical version so if anything happens I have it in safe place and I don’t have to make any phone calls or emails about missing digital version of the game. 🙂

    • Adam

Yup, I’m not pre-ordering it till I see MP.

      • LovekillerX

Same here. But hey we have to wait about 4 days and that isn’t so long as it feels like now. 🙂

    • TheTru Cypher

How can it get an award at a convention that hasn’t happend yet? And no destiny will get it anyways.

      • LovekillerX

I said “gets” not “got.” And in my opinion Destiny is way too hyped and dies for it. I tried out the beta but it wasn’t fun after first two hours. Lots of repeats on missions: kill those easy targets and then that wizard like tenth time. Seriously?

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare in my opinion gets the award because it went to the whole new direction so it can be called innovative compared to earlier Call of Duty games. And those graphics are so good that my eyes are melting. And that story looks now like you can experience the empathy. For example when your favorite character dies, you can feel sadness. At least I think so. Story trailer looks so great that I can’t wait to get my hands on this game’s story.

Let me tell you that Destiny looked kinda horrible on PS4. Of course there were few scenes when I was just like “wow how nice looking” but then some places looked horrible. Those graphics aren’t so cool as in Advanced Warfare and those locations in Desiny: only few planets and let me guess. I kill that wizard 11th time on Moon.

Just telling my opinion. Don’t take it to yourself. We will see what happens when Gamescom starts! But right now only Call of Duty feels like it deserves the reward because so many changes compared to other Call of Duty games.

Multiplayer reveal coming soon and then we will see if multiplayer has changed to whole new direction as they have told us. “Multiplayer will be revolutionary.”

        • TheTru Cypher

You’re are crazy if you think AW looks better than destiny! Like really bro, come on now. And of course you did the same missions over and over its a beta! I’m surprised they let us do as much as they did. Bf4 beta had one level and it looked like shit. You haven’t even play cod aw and you’re saying it’s so good. Makes no sense it could be the worst game you ever played how do you know? Ps I’ll be at gamescon and I’ll be sure to let you know which is better 😉

          • LovekillerX

You must be blind if you say to me that Destiny looks better than Advanced Warfare. C’mon man! Anyone else can see the huge difference. And I didn’t replay those beta missions. I meant that every mission was same: go there, kill those and their boss and get your poor loot. All missions in Destiny beta was the same and I wonder how people hype this game. It will die to it’s hype and you will see that when people cry after few days that how boring and short Destiny was.

And did you know that there will be only few locations to go to so definitely not my game. Advanced Warfare will be better because it looks so much better than Destiny. On Youtube Advanced Warfare looks better than Destiny on PS4 so that tells a lot. And story looks too so promising and that mission in E3 looked so good. I’m not saying that Destiny’s story would be bad but not the best and hype is way too high in my opinion.

Just telling my opinion and I really think that this game takes the award. At least Advanced Warfare deserves it.

And yeah let me know what YOU think about which one is better. I am interested in what overall people think about AW and Destiny. 😉

          • TheTru Cypher

Ok and what do you do in call of duty.. Go to this building shoot these guys go to that building shoot those guys. Watching shit cut scene then go shoot some more guys. Cod is more redundant than destiny for sure.

          • LovekillerX

Oh right. Tell me how many times Destiny’s missions were generic? I don’t say that Call of Duty isn’t. They both are but Call of Duty seems more better in my eyes. And for the first time they really put effort to the story so you can’t really judge this story yet. And before you say to me that I judge Destiny’s story, I tell you that Destiny’s story can be okay but still generic.

If you really think that Destiny isn’t generic then you have to be just a fanboy. I admit that Call of Duty may not be the best but neither is Destiny. There are good and bad points on both.

You can like Destiny more than Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. I like Call of Duty more than Destiny and that is just what I think. You or others can’t really tell me that “stop buying and playing that generic Call of Duty which is full of pointless shooting.” I can play Call of Duty and think that it is way more better than Destiny if I want. I can also think that graphics are better. We all have our opinions.

We will see what happens. In my opinion Advanced Warfare deserves this award because it is way more innovative than earlier Call of Duty games. And voice actors are going to be better than never before. They have put so much effort for this game, they just don’t rush it. They use time and they are making this game patiently. I can’t wait to see how this game turns out. Whatever happens I will get this game as soon as possible. Preorders are going to be in bigger numbers when people see co-op and multiplayer. 🙂

          • jordanxbrookes

Destiny is level capped at 20 and it isn’t even open world, which is why I’m not pre-ordering it.

          • LovekillerX

If there would be more locations and more levels (which means bigger level cap) then it would have been a little bit better. But of course there are more bad sides, for example generic missions. I really hope that people don’t get the chance to kill the wizard (the boss in many beta missions) like millions of times. I didn’t even understood the story because missions were so generic. For example how many times you returned to Skywatch to kill fallen? Let’s see if they can show us that it isn’t so generic as beta missions were.

          • Guywithbrains

I agree. Destiny is going to die to it’s hype. After seeing how many locations you can visit, it seems like you play it through in one evening.

I played Destiny Beta too on PS4. What did I see? Go to Skywatch, kill those enemies and boss. Visit pointless Tower to get your rewards and leave because you can’t do anything there (minigames would have been cool). Go to Old Russia and visit Skywatch, kill those enemies and the last boss in that place. Generic.

Then I got a chance to play multiplayer. I was really hoping that Bungie would had tried to get new fans. But no, they chose the safest way and put Halo copy MP to Destiny. Not funny at all, because I don’t like Halo MP at all. It played too much like the same way.

Destiny isn’t anything revolutionary or new. It may have cool graphics, but that’s it. I can see forums full of complain because there were only couple of places to visit. Still I think that Call of Duty is the most changed title this year. Even Battlefield Hardline looks the same as Battlefield 4 – not buying. The most ironic part is that this year Call of Duty is going to be the most revolutionary game.

Your opinion is yours, this is my opinion. Hopefully no one takes it to theirselves. 🙂

          • TheTru Cypher

Destiny is now the most preordered game in history how do you feel?

          • LovekillerX

That doesn’t mean it is the best. Lots of people usually say that most copies bought or preordered makes it more better than other games. But I hope that you aren’t belonging to those people who claim these kind of things. For example people who buy new product can buy it because they want to test it. This means that you can’t make any conclusions here.

And oh by the way it also doesn’t mean that it will get the price for best online shooter. And if it does I don’t lose my night of sleep because of that. In my opinion Advanced Warfare deserves it and gets it but that’s just my opinion. If it doesn’t win the award, I don’t care. I still think that Advanced Warfare is more better and more innovative than your Destiny which reminds me too much of Halo which isn’t surprise because of same developer. I think that you are getting some kind of joy because game which you like wins awards and stuff like that. For me it is whatever, I just told my opinion.

By the way if people like Destiny more, it still doesn’t change MY OPINION. 🙂 You should remember that. Internet has it’s weird habit to make commenters think that everyone should agree with each other and nobody can disagree. Everyone have their rights for their own opinion and you really can’t tell to me that Destiny is better because of most preordered game in history. That just tells that too many people overhype it and after a month or even a couple weeks you’ll see how people are going to forget this game. In Twitch today I saw a comment which was something like this: “5 planets with only one area in them = game?” I can totally agree with that. After a day when you have completed the story, you hop into the multiplayer which isn’t so fun as people claims.

And let me say one more thing: don’t take this to yourself. I’m not starting any world war III here. I am just telling what I think and you shouldn’t provoke because of my opinion.

  • RockerxxRicardo .

Well after seeing the multiplayer I think I can make a decision. Although I will not buy the game at launch till I see how everything turns out. I’m done buying COD games at launch.

    • kyr95

If you want to be cautious you should wait then 🙂
But dont make your decision according to reviews as theyre not always trustworthy, just listen to the opinions of the community from here.

      • Guywithbrains

Don’t turn to Metacritic when it comes to trustworthy reviews. People just bash there everything they see. Best way to find trustworthy opinions is checking forums and comment sections where you can find opinions just from normal casual players. Then you’ll know if the game is worth your money, right? 😉

        • kyr95

          Right 😉

        • Siftblade of Rivia

Problem with that is that you have to know how to sort through the fanboys and the haters to try to find how people honestly feel about the game. If you know how to do that, then it is the best way by far.

          • kyr95

You for example, as i can see from the unique profile pic and the menacing name, that you are not a hater 😛

          • Siftblade of Rivia

            Haha yes, my name is so sp00ky. (;

          • kyr95

            Ooooooo spoookyyy ( in Seananners’s voice )

          • MichiganerE

            2sp00ky4me

    • Marshall

To really see how the game pans out you have to wait like 3 months haha.

      • RockerxxRicardo .

I’ll wait a while the good thing is that so many games are out right now that can easily pass my time.
        😀

  • Of course there is a lot of pre-orders. A gun and exo-suit are up for grabs and not to mention the special editions which come with Atlas Gorge, the 5 supply drops, and the 2 guns. What if the guns and supply drops end up being OP. Do people who pre-ordered get an advantage? It shouldn’t be like that. A pre-order should be just a way to secure a copy of the game and maybe a cosmetic incentive like a camo, that’s it.

    • KillzoneVII

If I’m not mistaken, the 2 guns you get are already in the game, the only difference is that they have a special camo.

      • HotHam

yep thats the only difference. special skins for them.

  • I just want to see the multiplayer reveal before I start debating on whether or not I am going to pre-order. I am also excited to see what co-op modes they’re going to throw at us. (Hopefully something better than extinction)

    • kyr95

I really really want something similar to MW2’s spec ops.
Maybe been sent in missions throughout the world as an ATLAS soldier?

      • Yes! I loved the spec ops missions in MW2. I also liked survival mode the way it was in MW3. Who knows maybe they will surprise us with something new! But nothing can beat zombies lol

        • kyr95

          Zombies with exo-suits?

          • I couldnt even imagine it bro. That would mind blow me.

          • kyr95

            Crawlers with grappling hooks…

          • Lmao that would suck especially if your in the bathroom and your friend is watching the crawler!

          • kyr95

Haha your friend be like “Im outta here, youre on your own bro!!”

          • Lmfao RAGE QUIT!!

          • Guywithbrains

Maybe shooting those zombies with laser gun. “Burn baby burn!”

      • Guywithbrains

I loved MW2 spec ops. I remember when I played first time MW2. It was actually at my friend’s house and we played co-op in that snowy level where you were able to use predator missile. We were just screaming like hell when my friend was dying and I used my predator missile to kill everyone surrounding him. Good old memories… :’)

        • kyr95

Dont even remind me that, there was so much rage haha

          • Guest

Shooting those zombies with laser gun. “Burn baby burn!”

          • Guywithbrains

Sorry it was supposed be answer to next comment below. XD

    • Guywithbrains

5 days left. I think that Sledgehammer Games is going to deliver. At least it is 90% sure that they do it better than Ghosts. Not bad game, but it could have been better.

So far the biggest hint has been cyborgs. Still we can’t be sure but it would be nice to get story based co-op mode where you fight against cyborgs or why not cyborg zombies as in Call of Duty Online. 🙂

      • I dont think it will be cyborg zombies cuz that is kinda treyarchs mode but it definetly sounds cool since they’re zombies!

  • Pre-ordering is a very bad habit. Glad to see it declining.

  • NuttyTheSquirrel

I’m sure that Advanced Warfare’s campaign will be good, but putting Frank Underwood in the game? I mean, I LOVE House of Cards, one of the best series I’ve ever watched, it’s head-to-head with Breaking Bad in my list (Top 1), but putting the character itself on the game, meeeh.

    Plot:
Francis Underwood found a way to live forever and around 2050 he ‘gets his hand on/forms’ Atlas and continues to rule America/the world. Everbody’s fucked.

    GOTY 2014

    • PatPatPat

Frank Underwood? Dude, that’s Kevin spacey….

      • NuttyTheSquirrel

No, Frank Underwood – the character.

IT IS FRANK UNDERWOOD IN AW. He just has another name.
He talks the same way, has the EXACT same line style and pauses when he talks. I know that IT IS Kevin Spacey who is making the owner of Atlas, but he’s representing Underwood.

        • PatPatPat

          Im so lost.

          • That Lucas Kid

            Join the club

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

Jonathan acts, talks and has the same “emotions” as Frank Underwood.

        • Keshav Bhat

What? Underwood is a character played by Kevin Spacey in House of Cards. Kevin Spacey plays as Jonathan Irons, who is a character SHGames writers came up with. Two different characters with different stories, played by one person.

          • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

He means that they’re heavily inspired by House of Cards for AW.

    • kyr95

Technically, Kevin Spacey was chosen for the role on the first month of development, before House of Cards even began.
And yeah he has the same attitude, but he doesnt seem the same person to me.

      • NuttyTheSquirrel

“People need a leader who can give them both the support and the constrength to keep caos at bay. You give them that and they’ll follow *Frank Underwood’s style dramatic PAUSE xD* and that’s where I come in.”

I can see the ambition that his character has, and there are other lines where you can see that he’ll do anything to get what he wants, just like Frank. It’s to similar for me. I DON’T WANT TO KILL FRANK UNDERWOOD.

        • kyr95

Well maybe Frank took from Jonathan 😉

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

Nah, I don’t believe that, why would Sledgehammer hire someone who wasn’t that known?

They clearly saw his amazing acting and probably wanted him to do the same acting as he does for Frank Underwood.

If that was officially stated, that’s bullshit, No studio hires actors when the game’s not even at a playable state.

GTA V for example, was a game that Rockstar worked on for 6 years but the voice actors “only” worked for 3 years or less.

          • kyr95

Kevin Spacey wasnt known before House of Cards??? ummm i dont think thats true

          • Guywithbrains

American Beauty… I have seen it couple of times and I like Kevin Spacey’s acting. 😉

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

He was known. But he wasn’t known as well as now. Just like Bryan Cranston before Breaking Bad.

    • Guywithbrains

[SPOILERS AHEAD] We have always got good ending, Ghosts being the most epic and the best one yet. Although there were couple of odd parts. You beat up Rorke and shoot him then he drowns. Suddenly he comes to kick your ass like nothing happened and pulls you with him… well still that soundtrack made it epic enough. XD

      • NuttyTheSquirrel

Best ending? That’s the worst ending in my opinion. +There’s bad acting (Dad, IT WAS YOU ALL ALONG? :O” PLEASE). And the fact that IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE for Rorke to live after that. IMPOSSIBLE.

The ending in Black Ops 2 was better. Because Treyarch made you build hate on Menendez from the beginning. He fucks Frank up, does all that fucked up shit to him. He makes you kill Mason (was one of the “best” moment, I understood what was going on when Noriega started smiling), he shoots Frank’s knees, kills Hudson, has a guy infiltrated in your squad, makes you shoot Harper and so on. When you get to the finish he tells you to join him or something but you just want to shoot the shit out of him.

In Ghosts he kills a guy (the father) who appears what?, 3 times? And people don’t even get to build some kind of feeling or simpathy for him because he only appears for a brief moment each time.

      • KillzoneVII

Not like I really care that much but thanks for the spoiler alert. >_>

        • Guywithbrains

Sorry about that. Usually I put spoiler alert, but seeing so much hate towards Ghosts and it’s campaign it seemed to me that nobody really cares. Also the game is already going to be one year old and people move to AW.

Still as I said there is some parts in the campaign where I was like how is that even possible. Most of them were while last mission was going on. 😀

          • KillzoneVII

It’s all good, if I really cared I would’ve beaten the campaign by now (usually I have but ghosts was so meh). I did make it a little more than halfway through before I switched consoles (went from X1 to ps4) and lost my progress, so now I’m on the first mission again lmao.

Advanced Warfare’s campaign is shaping up to be the best one we’ve had in years though so I’m looking forward to it.

          • KillzoneVII

Already replied but I don’t think it posted. Anyway it’s not big deal haha, if I really cared I would’ve beaten the story by now. Reason I’ve taken so long is I started it on 360, then traded up to the X1 version, and then a few months ago I traded my X1 for a ps4.

So I’ve started the campaign 3 times, but farthest I’ve gotten was not long after you capture Rorke. Lol

    • xHoii

Wtf? I hope you was being sarcastic.
The role he played in house of cards and the role he’ll play in AW are completely different, I seriously can’t tell if you’re serious or not?
Wait I read it again and it seems you were serious.
      LMFAO

    • Keshav Bhat

Wait I’m confused by this? Frank Underwood is a character that is played by Kevin Spacey. Kevin Spacey plays Jonathan Irons in Advanced Warfare; two different characters, acted by the same person, so yes, the acting will be similar as it’s the same person acting it.

  • TheGamerBeast

well first, everyone is waiting for the MP reveal and then they will decide, and they send there is a New pre order surprise, which they said it is so good they are gonna say about soon, and most important thing who would pre order without seeing the most important part which is the MP, and who would pre order 6 month before the game comes out lol

    • ChickenDoughnut

      Six months? Try three.

      • TheGamerBeast

nah am talking about, the game was available for pre order 6 months before release, like from may, read carefully

  • Danzo

Shame people still buy this crap, been hooked on BF4 PS4 as bad as it can be at times still blows cod outa the water, must say bought BF4 on PS4 launch day and the whole time I’ve played not got any rude pms hoping I died from cancer or aids just shows the grown ups really do play BF…

    • ChickenDoughnut

      Then get off our forums

    • KillzoneVII

And apparently grown ups also go onto forums for games they don’t like and talk shit for attention, hmm….

    • Hostslayer

      BF4 sucks lmao I could understand BF3 but BF4…

    • Colin MacKenzie

I think you belong on BravoIntel.com You know what I mean?

    • Paradoxgaming

      Shut up Meg !

    • jordanxbrookes

      You mean Brokenfield 4?

    • jordanxbrookes

You mean the same grown ups that bash a game they don’t play more than actually play their so-called ‘great’ game?

  • I preordered Destiny and will probably get AW hopefully.

  • Guest

    I never preorder a game

    • Destiny was my first preordered game.

      • AcePhoenix007

        GTA V was mine.

    • Strangely, the only game I actually pre-ordered was Halo 4. I like CoD better but go figure…

  • ChickenDoughnut

I tried to get off the hype train after Ghosts (I still play it, sure, but no doubt it’s a disappointment), but I’ll be damned if AW doesn’t look good, even after only seeing the campaign as I thought Ghosts’ campaign was the worst from a CoD game. I’m just waiting til Monday to find out if I should pre-order or not. Am I the only one?

    • MichiganerE

I already pre-ordered AW. But I agree with your opinion on Ghosts’ campaign, by far the worst campaign in Call of Duty history.

      • Marshall

The cliffhanger at the end of Ghosts made it really dumb in my opinion. No way the antagonist should have survived that.

        • MichiganerE

Indeed. It was stupid as fuck and showed how lazy IW was with the campaign. Not only that, but I was disgusted that IW re-used the MW2 motion capture ending at the beginning of Ghosts’ campaign. IW has been very lazy since the law suits between them and Activision.

          • ChickenDoughnut

I had high hopes for Ghosts, but that singleplayer killed my mood. I didn’t like the MW2 story at first, but it quickly grew on me. Ghosts, though, will always remain subpar, regardless of which “famous” writer they got.

          • MichiganerE

I didn’t have any hopes for Ghosts at all, I was sure it was going to suck. Also, the “famous” writer did a shitty job.

      • UpRiftCOD

Idk black ops 2 was pretty bad if you ask me.

        • MichiganerE

It had a good campaign that shitted all over Ghosts’ campaign.

        • Walter Iego

“Ghosts” lasted 6 hours. That is not good at all.

          • UpRiftCOD

I guess. For me I got through three levels of black ops 2 and skipped to multiplayer (I play campain first to get it over with), with ghosts I felt like I had to get to the end.

    • jordanxbrookes

Same here, the game did disappoint me, but I still play the game, which makes no sense, but that’s Call of Duty for ya; “The numbers Mason, what do they mean?”.

      • ChickenDoughnut

It’s because it’s so easy to pick up and get into, despite the MP being frustrating at times. If you’ve got half an hour before school, hop into a few quick games of MP. Waiting for food to cook, a quick game or two will speed the wait up.

        • jordanxbrookes

Yup, Call of Duty is just too good to pass on.

          • ChickenDoughnut

Seeing as it’s just so easy to play, it just feels weird if you don’t make a yearly donation to Activision. Or if you don’t have any of the past games to play, it just feels like you’re missing out. I personally use CoD as a bridge between games. Just bought The Last Of Us. Will finish it soon, so CoD will bridge the long, boring gap until Destiny. And so on.

    • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

Do NOT pre-order, you’ll just set yourself up to disappointment. You KNOW that people will ruin this game.

  • mason 117

Will COD AW be the same on xbox 360?? if not what would be the difference

    • Keshav Bhat

Graphics will be big difference, and other than that, it hasn’t been stated yet

      • mason 117

If the graphics are the only difference im good with my 360, but if the xbox one has better stuff like dedicated servers (I don’t think there will be) then I’d better get a job lol

        • Paradoxgaming

You should get a job either way

          • That Lucas Kid

            Yeah

          • mason 117

            lol

  • Sentinel

Pre-ordering the game on the Playstation store is more convenient for those who prefer to play the game right after the official release. For me, i would to take that method but since i like to collect the special editions. I will wait in line till i get my hands on the game on release date. At some point everything will go digital, just be ready for it

    • KillzoneVII

I’m going to ride the physical copy train until I’m forced off, I just like having a physical copy I can hold and do whatever I want with (eg: resale) instead of a digital license.

Plus my internet isn’t fast enough to download most games that are 30gbs+ in under a day.

      • Paradoxgaming

Who’s your internet provider? Aldi ? Lol ..

        • KillzoneVII

You realize not everyone lives in a big city where the standard is 100mbs+ download speed right? Honestly I haven’t tried downloading a 30gb+ game, why should I? A day is a rough guess, I can download 8 gigs in an hour-hour and a half, give or take. But buying physical I can pop the disc in and be playing in under 5 minutes, no one (at least not a consumer) has internet fast enough to download 30gbs+ of data in under 5 minutes.

Plus I hate the whole “let’s all be lazy and download everything without leaving our rooms” way entertainment is headed.

          • That Lucas Kid

            Takes me 1 hour for a 1GB, think how i feel 😛

          • KillzoneVII

Exactly, most people just don’t have internet fast enough to download 30gb+ games yet.

  • jordanxbrookes

You know what pisses me off? Is that Hirshberg says that Call of Duty pre-orders are declining, yet Activision stated that Advanced Warfare is going to be the most pre-ordered Call of Duty game to date. I swear they’re just trying to screw with our heads, anyway, I’ve already pre-ordered my Advanced Warfare Atlas Pro Edition, hopefully you have pre-ordered your copy, or at least will pre-order after August 11th 🙂

    • Paradoxgaming

      Shut up Meg

      • jordanxbrookes

How did you know my name is Meg? 😛

        • That Lucas Kid

Probably something to do with his name

    • i hope amazon gets all of the bonuses

      • Freeze

I know, I cancelled my regular preorder and gt the atlas limited through amazon.

        • Ya i got titanfall early from them so i hope the same goes for AW i think i well i live 15 min away for the amazon warehouse

      • jordanxbrookes

        I don’t, I pre-ordered mine through GAME UK.

        • Sure everyone will get a few but i hope amazon gets all of them they show so i dont have to go to gamestop and buy a standard copy as well! This year i really hope every store gets them to stop gamestop!!!

  • Good to know they counting dosh before actual game comes out. All heil to bait trailers.

  • Sam

I feel that theres gonna be heavy hipe and then people are disapointed when they play multyplayer after a month or two becouse of the constant jetpacking and dodgeing its gonna become major bull

    • Paradoxgaming

It’s not cod no more, titan fall hype cod with jet packs! 2 months later, dead

      • Freeze

Then don’t play it at all, so I can enjoy at least two months of it.

      • That Lucas Kid

i agree, but the main problem with titanfall was its limitation of guns and titans so it just got bland.

  • pulseimpact

I think people will pre-order after Destiny is out for a couple weeks it will really pick up fast.

  • TheGamerBeast

So i wanted to share that with u guys, SEASON PASS for AW is on steam now, and it is for $40 exactly, i don’t know maybe it is $40 cz i have pre ordered the game already, so is that a pre order bonus thing? cz it says digital pro edition for $99.99

  • kplem

stop to defend the fact that cod is in a massive decline. last updated on Vgchartz on july 26th AW has 66,000 on xbox 360 (it is most pre ordered on xbox 360) this time last year ghost has more than 300,000 and the multiplayer hadn’t even been reviled yet stop trying to think that multiplayer reveal will change it it will with an extra like 100,000 im guessing. http://www.vgchartz.com/preorders/ go back 1 year and look at ghosts it has WAY more and ghosts was said to be one of the worse sold cods from cod 4 and up so what does that tell you? cod is dying.

    • Nytrofactor

Dying? Lol mw3 has the most sales. MW3! And you say its dying?

      • kplem

yeah that was 2011 MW3 has over 800,000 pre orders this time in 2011 we are in 2014 AW doesnt even have more than 200,000, MW3 sold like 27 million total i dont see AW even coming close

  • Patrick101

More people have preordered The Sims 4 than Advanced Warfare LOL! To be honest; AW doesn’t stand a chance with Destiny but I didn’t realise the sheer lack of interest was this bad. This game will probably go the same way as Titanfall – be dead after a month.

Oh well; Destiny, The Division. Rainbow 6, Dragon Age Inquisition, MGS V, Unity etc..those games are the future – COD died years ago after Black Ops. Nice to see the gamers aren’t falling for it any more.

  • TheTru Cypher

The next ghost will have about 10 preorders lol

  • Run N Gunning Camper

The camping community is eagerly waiting for the multiplayer reveal. If AW turns out to be as good as Ghosts then you will see even bigger numbers. We are holding our breath and eager to see what camping gear AW has in store for us.

I want to see some smart IEDs, plantable Riot Shield like in BO2, and some sort of Target Finder for LMGs. SHG better deliver on this COD.

    • jooker-jr

Don’t forget assassin perk from MW3.

  • Im loving it

the only reason people wont preorder is because of the current CoD, its a piece of crap i have always bought all the DLC this time i did not get even 1 of them, that means how bad that game is with big ass maps

  • Pre orders are going to sky rocket after the reveal don’t worry.

    • Joey Woof

I see you play Ghosts on the PS4…

      So do I.

  • That Lucas Kid

Im gonna wait till after launch then decide if i’m going to get it or not, because i made a mistake last year when i preorderd ghosts.

  • drjakeyoung

When will the digital pro edition be available on PSN in the UK?

  • [email protected]

Already pre ordered along with Fifa 15, Destiny and Halo master Chief Collection! – Great year for games!

  • jooker-jr

I cancelled my original pre-order because I want the digital pro edition

I will wait for the MP reveal If I liked it then I will pre-order the game ( but every cod looks epic in the trailers so I will probably pre-order the game )

  • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

Destiny has way more pre-orders. And that game doesn’t look that exciting. :/

  • curi0us

I’m finding this to be a bit of a lie. Not by charlie intel, but what Activision said.

Almost all the Gamestops I called across the US ended up saying they were still taking preorders for Collectors and Limited editions of Advanced Warfare across all platforms. Usually these things are picked up fast. Compared to Destiny, which is basically impossible to find a Collectors or Limited edition.

I know I’m comparing apples to oranges, but I feel I’ve made my point.

The multiplayer reveal will be the make or break I think and most people are waiting for more reveals before giving their money. I will toss $5 on the 360 Collectors Edition and just wait until things are revealed before I give them money.

Or I could just pay $100 or whatever for the PS4 digital.

It’s clear that most folks are waiting to drop any kind of money on this CoD title because of Ghosts, the launch of it, and the various things that plagued it for the longest time. All the karma for Ghosts is coming back to haunt the devs and publishers.
