Digital Foundry has posted their analysis of the PC version of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare today, talking about the optimization Sledgehammer Games has done for PC players this year.

As Activision announced, Sledgehammer Games was fully focused on Xbox One, PS4, and PC versions only this year, which allowed for them to make improvement to the PC version, after Call of Duty: Ghosts’s lack of PC support.

Digital Foundry has stated that the PC version of Advanced Warfare deserves to be credited in how well Sledgehammer Games actually optimized the platform to run the new title. Sledgehammer Games has been able to deliver a multi-platform game that is very well optimized across the board.

We’re pleased to say that Advanced Warfare bucks the trend. We put together a budget gaming PC based on Intel’s Core i3 4130 processor, paired with Nvidia’s entry-level enthusiast graphics card, the GTX 750 Ti. We matched quality settings as closely as we could to PS4 (FXAA, low-quality texture filtering, medium shadows, depth of field and motion blur) but left everything else at max. As you can see below, the PC outputs turned out to be uncannily similar to the PS4 version of the game, and performance is mostly on par, if not better.

Digital Foundry also made a video showing how bad the performance for AMD is, really they need to fix it, for AMD users when the Match starts, Shaders take about 40 sec to 1 min to load and makes the first 1min laggy as hell like 2 or 3 FPS, and even if u put preload shaders in settings takes alot of time to load and then Lost connection to host, and then there’s frame drops in Game specially for AMD users, Sledge Hammer really need to fix optimization for AMD users please, but other than that the Game is great on PC not excuses WAYYY MORE BETTER FROM GHOSTS

    • Rei

dont worry the same thing happens to me on a GTX 760. the game is not so optimized as they say. actually in the current state ghosts runs more smoothly and doesnt have shader loading problems.

      • TheShadowReaper

doesnt look as good tho. the eye candy comes with a price. and that’s problems with loading shaders. you cant have both good loading times and eye candy.

        • Rei

First of all AW has better graphics then Ghosts but not that WOW better. that being said i prefer less good looking and smooth game (Ghosts) then a better looking game that looks unfinished (AW). and as i said above in the current state, cuz we dont know what will happen later.

          • TheShadowReaper

i dont want to get insulting but, unless you’re blind you can see that Ghosts graphical fidelity is utter shit comparing with AW. the unfinished product was Ghosts, not AW. its true, AW needs a little bit more of a polish but its doesnt have groundbreaking problems like Ghosts did.

          • Mr Doge

How about you boys stop arguing over PC and just play the fucking game. If you hate it so much on PC because it isn’t optimized for AMD then get a console which is already optimized for the fucking game. You on the other hand ShadowReaper need to stop acting like you know everything about a PC. No one actually gives the smallest 2 shits. Take your PC and shove it up your ass.

          • TheShadowReaper

what does PC has to do with AW being a superior product over Ghosts when it comes to everything including graphics? fuck you and your stupidity already. moronic troll.

        • Rei

Oh and i forgot, you have a lot of games out there that look as good as AW if not better and dont have shader loading problems, run butter smooth and also costs less then 60 dollars/euros

          • TheShadowReaper

            like what? list them please.

  • Great news for PC gamers! I hope this washes out the sour taste Ghosts left in player’s minds because of its poor optimization.

  • lolk

Meanwhile as the multiplayer still runs like garbage on most maps.

  • Primey_

It’s a ok port. Missing a few pc specific features though.

    • Kobrah

Not a PC player, just curious, but what features is it missing?

      • Alec Sisson

Dedicated server list, mod-tools, custom maps, dev-console, etc.

        • 111AlaN111

I doubt that they’ll want to give mod tools and custom maps to PC gamers, since anyone could make very good maps and DLC would be bought less.

          • Alec Sisson

That’s where you are wrong, more people will buy a good PC port in general, rather just paying for a boring repetitive DLC based game. There is a reason why Call of Duty 4 is still going strong on PC.

          • Ben

It’s going strong because it’s widely available for pirates.

          • TheShadowReaper

nope, its because of the mod support. you can lie all you want, but we are playing COD4 on the PC, we know why we play it. we dont need you to tell us why we do what we do and tag it “piracy”.

          • Ben

I played too for a “few” years, just like my friends. (And sticked with NTA’s modified MW2 after all, but that’s another – pretty sad – topic.)

If most of the people playing it because of the mod support (which can be true because almost all of the servers are running ProMod), then why does every server has the CD-key verification thingy turned off?

Not mentioning the cheaters… even Netsky has many in their servers if the admins are offline.

There is a reason why I’m saying that piracy keeps the playerbase strong. And most of my friends who played thousands of hours saying the same…

          • TheShadowReaper

tbh even if it is pirated i dont believe ATVI is losing anything. + the Steam version has the mod support taken away. its only natural that you’re going to pirate it else no mods. and getting a copy off of a retailer is harder to come by than pirating it.

            in other words:
pirated copy – easy to get, has mods
digital legit copy – harder to get, some mods not working

which do you think a PC gamer is going to get?

          • Ben

You called me a liar. So please tell me where did I lied?

          • TheShadowReaper

in the part where you say that its piracy that is the problem, not huge corporations that try to fuck us in the asshole. i and any other PC gamer, wants to play the game along with full mod support. we will get the version that has that, pirated or not. the problem with anyone not familiar with gaming on the PC is that thinks piracy is a common thing because PC gamers just like to get stuff free. which is an excuse and a lie of course. anyone who is familiar with PC gaming will tell you otherwise.

          • Ben

And where did I say that piracy is a problem? (Which clearly is, otherwise nobody would make shitty ports to PC.) I only said that CoD 4’s PC community is big because it’s widely played by those who pirated the game.

Piracy is not common, there are a lot of people who’s playing illegally downloaded games on PS360, but currently waaay more people buying games there, which hurts the PC ports quality. Just look what Ubisoft is forcing in our throats this year… and not because of their wrong engine concepts or the lack of low-level APIs, it’s because they’re shitting to the PC itself.

          • TheShadowReaper

“It’s going strong because it’s widely available for pirates.”

what are you implying here? do i need to copy and paste everything for you to “remember”?

how is Ubisoft “shitting” the PC itself? you are talking like AC Unity didnt drop to 18 frames per second on the PS4 and 22 on the XBoxOne. you are implying that the PC is the only platform that is getting affected smh?

well anyways, enough. you are all over the place implying shit here, there and a little bit over there. we cant have a convo like that.

          • Ben

The pirated copies keeping CoD 4 alive on PC. Try to refute if you can.

And yes, apparently we can’t have a conversation, because you are an asshole.

          • TheShadowReaper

ok, i cant refute it. happy now?

talking about irony. the first one to cuss calls the other one an “asshole”.

          • Ben

It’s pretty clear that they won’t give us the ability to create custom maps, but the Mod Tools can help us create some custom game modes.

As I stated earlier, the first Black Ops had a Mod Tools utility.

      • Primey_

Unlimited fps (So in turn 120/144Hz support), single player fov slider, correct multi-monitor support. There’s bound to be more but I can’t think of them atm.

    • TheShadowReaper

i’m pretty sure the frame rate cap is one of them. as for the rest, they are anyone’s guess. (and oh i almost forgot, dedi serves missing!)

  • zombiefreak935

AW is amazing, once they fix the lag and spawns this will easily be up there with cod 4.

    • MichiganerE

Right now, it’s my fourth favorite CoD game right behind CoD 4, MW2 and BO1.

      • IceKoldKilla

I guess I’m alone when it comes to my opinion on how shitty MW2 was. Or people don’t remember how unbalanced it was. It was CoD4 on steroids with unbalanced perks, weapons and killstreaks. It was made to camp and get tons of air killstreaks or nukes. WaW is my second favorite just because of the setting, gore, gritty, Zombies, Campaign, Coop Campaign, etc. CoD4 is obviously #1. BO1 and BO2 to me are tied. Each awesome and pretty balanced after initial patches. DLC was good too.

        • spartanelite

Not alone I fucking hate mw2 that game was just so broken I really don’t know how people even consider praising it cod 4 was ok my favorite is black ops 1 Bo2 and Aw are tied

          • Planet X

Everybody loved mw2 cause that was mostly everyones first COD

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

No, since I still play it and I still consider it better. Not only that but Titanfall is an amazing game, made by the same guys.

Titanfall could easily beat CoD in MP if it had more stuff to do.

          • spartanelite

I know that’s why bo1 is my favorite CoD But MW2 Is Actually Bad 😛

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

Never had any problems with MW2 (on PS3).

          • spartanelite

Not problems but the whole game was just bad and broken

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

The game wasn’t bad. If it was bad, it wouldn’t be considered one of the best CoD titles.

          • spartanelite

Wasn’t bad are you kidding me, there is a bunch of resons why this game is as bad as ghost

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean that it is a shitty game.

And no. Please tell me those reasons.

          • spartanelite

Ump-45, acr, scar-h only viable gun’s in the game stopping power make the scar a 2 shot automatic gun, acr has 0 kick and the ump is an assult rifle wit smg perks, the kill streaks were over power to shit ,a 7 kill streak wins you the game 90% of the time the chooper gunner just insta killed you off the already terrible spawns cheap kills win you the game, shot guns as secondarys, the spas -12 has stupid long 1 hit kill range the model was about the only gun they ever fixed, the game was infested with quick scooper, and the the biggest problem OMA noob tubes and don’t give me the blast shield bullshit because blast shield was basically useless and the noob tubed basically ignored the resistance, the fact that some one can win the game single handedly win the game by siting in a corner across the map aiming at the sky and get reward for it and the fact that the devs basically neglected the game 90% of its lifetime is just terrible how can you think it’s even remotely close to one of the best in the franchise

        • NuttyTheSquirrel

CoD 4 also had some unbalance.

MW2 was unbalanced like every or game is to be fair. I can still own people that are playing with the SCAR-H/ACR/UMP-45 with a Vector or a P90.

I’d rather have the MW2 balance in AW than what it has now. In MW2 the guns had factors, in AW they just shoot faster/slower and have higher/lower damage. No recoil at all. I still love how the Vector and the P90 kicked like a mule.

          • IceKoldKilla

True but CoD4 to most is the best so far. Probably has to do more with the fact that it was a game changer and it’s when CoD as an addition started to many. The with the years we got tired of CoD even though we buy it. We just don’t play it as much. I speak for the people like me which isn’t everyone but I’m sure people can relate. It got repetitive. Kill, Prestige, try a few modes and every map and then it just feels like grinding for Max Prestige unless you have fun friends to always play with. Not me.

        • MichiganerE

We love MW2 because of how fun it is. Also, BO2 is far from balanced.

        • Nope, I am right there with you brother. Though I didnt play much [email protected], COD4 is my favorite followed closely by the Black Ops games. MW2 was so broken and also the TTK was too low.
Along with OMA, the akimbo shotguns that could shoot somebody from a half mile away, commando with a knife lunge that was also a half mile away, and finally all the campers trying to get a nuke.

          • IceKoldKilla

Oh good. Yeah I agree 100%. Knife kills, shotguns, akimbo, etc. So bad. Hacking later made it worse.

    • UpRiftCOD

And if they could throw in an audio mixer like in black ops 2 it would be perfect.

      • Siftblade of Rivia

Yeah, I really want an audio mixer back. That would be great. they probably won’t though, because dead silence isn’t in the game.

        • UpRiftCOD

Well at least make it so that i dont hear “WE LOST THE LEAD!” and have my ear drums explode.

          • Siftblade of Rivia

I just want to mute the noise that happens when I get a medal. If I’m playing hardpoint and I kill two dudes in the objective and cap the objective, I get like 50 medals for all these little things and I literally can’t hear shit for the next 10 – 20 seconds, lol.

          • UpRiftCOD

Yah they need to quiet those down a bit.

          • jordanxbrookes

I agree, every time I get a medal it’s “DUUUUUUUUUUUN!”. It’s not as annoying as other things, but it’s still a pain.

          • Partyin’ Pete

Espcially in Hardpoint/Dom when you’re holding the objective. DDUUUUNN for days

          • THE REAPERS HAVE SPOKEN!

          • awlagfare

            I lolled

        • TheShadowReaper

its quite a pity if you think about it. AW having such a great sound design and not have proper footsteps/dead silence to counter them. but i guess the exo completely makes null the footstep since you can hear it loud and clear.

        • awlagfare

I really want my 150€ headset to not be a complete waste of money. so that would be gr8

          • IceKoldKilla

Well hopefully it wasn’t just for CoD.

      • unscene

Dude if the audio was as dynamic as Halo MCC i would cry. MCC’s audio is beautiful.

        • NuttyTheSquirrel

If the audio was as good as in BF4, THEN I, I WOULD CRY, of joy!

      • NuttyTheSquirrel

Or they could just fix the fucking mouse problems instead.

        • UpRiftCOD

Pfft we dont care about your pc problems.

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

            By “we” you mean you.

EDIT: Forgot to say how an asshole you are.

          • UpRiftCOD

Well excuuuuse me princess, I see your sense of humor is lacking.

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

My response wasn’t intended, NOR designed to amuse.

          • UpRiftCOD

What i was getting at was it was a joke and judging by the last few replys of previous comments, im geting the feeling no one else has a sense of humor either. If you see something that might come up as “offensive” posted by me 90% of the time it’s a joke. I’m sorry if i offended you in any way, I guess my sarcastic humor isn’t funny.

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

It might be funny if you make it sound sarcastic. It is harder to write sarcastic comments than to just say then.

Sorry that I didn’t get it, but it is really not that easy to see that comment as a sarcastic comment. I guess it sounded better in your head xD.

We all had those comments that could not be “transfered” to written words.

    • ccrows

I would LOVE to see how well this game would play by matching people on connection instead of similar skill.

      Until then, we’re stuck with this half-baked product… 🙁

      • Tricky VIk

“I so agree, I hate lagging cause I’m pinned with players from somewhere else because of skill.”

    • DanDustEmOff

Getting that level of performance out of a 750ti is great for PC players. It just goes to show how far behind consoles have already become. If more PC gamers played this game and the connection quality didn’t suck balls I would play this and mainly on the PC.

    • Johnny

Almost all “lag” issues I’ve experienced and other have experienced are graphics related. Turn down your graphics settings and the perceived lag will go away.

      • zombiefreak935

        Im on ps4,not pc

  • meow

no no no no. im sick of people saying this is a good game because its optimized. thats how games are ment to be, and its only to 90fps and the only pc support is FOV in MP.

    • meow

im not saying this is a bad game but i wish people would focus on the game rather then oh it runs better then another game.

      • meow

guess it is better then nothing

  • Blaine

Lol wow. Just goes to show how much Ghosts changed our perspective on things and just how much it lowered our standards. Yes, compared to Ghosts, it’s a great port. But anyone who has played BO2 on PC can tell you that the AW port is shameful compared to the BO2 port, which was far superior in most respects. Frame rate cap was lifted from 90fps to 200fps, and it was even better optimized. BO2 ran smoother in-game than AW does (which does have some stutter even on high-end rigs) and never had the menu/UI lag that AW gets when loading assets into vram. BO2 also had ONLY dedicated servers for mp, AW probably doesn’t use any at all. BO2 > AW for PC.

    • Lord Beerus

A lot of people will disagree with you on that. I recommend you watch Total Biscuit’s review of the game on PC. He’s a PC gaming expert and his review are very well done and informative without being bias. He called AW the best Call Of Duty on PC since COD4 and good FPS on PC in general and he is pretty apathetic when comes to COD.

    • RdJokr

Yeah, Treyarch did some amazing work optimizing their engine. Not saying AW isn’t great, but yeah, it’s kinda obvious that many of the bad features from MW3 and Ghosts remained. The fact that each level in singleplayer reloads after changing one single graphics setting is just lame (BO2 never had this problem).

Not bitching too much about frame rate cap (60 is enough for me), but yeah, stuttering is just bad.

    • TheShadowReaper

actually its not “just a better port compared to Ghosts”. AW port options puts many games to shame and is even close enough to have as many options as the first Crysis game. this wasnt “just a good port”. if we call it that we are making a disservice to SHG for putting so much effort in it. they deserve all the cookie in the world.

AW isnt a better port in some areas then BO2, as BO2 isnt a better port in some areas than AW. the frame rate cap is indeed a thing and you are right about it. and we will probably get the same quality from Treyarch next year with their 2015 game. but lets not forget that AW is a much more demanding game than BO2. lets see what Treyarch does with this new version of the engine on the PC and then we’ll be the judges. when we have all the info we need.

      • ben wills

AW still lacks a server browser, lean feature, uncapped FPS, has horrific lag at the start of games (Defender especially), takes way to much space for what it is, and has ping bars (not numbers)

The port is still pretty bad. Simply working properly does not make it good. MW2 worked, it was not good. MW3 worked, it was not good. AW works, it is not good.

        • TheShadowReaper

          – we have ping bars 4 games straight now. that’s not a good point. as much as i would like them to use numbers, they wont until dedi servers happen, which is another point.

          – we havent seen lean awhile too. nobody really misses it.

i agree about server browser, uncapped FPS (or at least higher than what it is) and a bit of a lag here and there. but if these are the signs of a bad port for you then you have no idea what a bad port is. the only thing missing to make AW the best possible port is dedi servers/server browser along with a 200 fps cap instead of 90.

nobody cares if your hard drive is small and cant handle it or a few laggy parts here and there. AW works, and it is good. it can get better, sure, but it is good.

          • ben wills

BO2 uses numbers. Regardless, no dedis and no ping numbers is a sign of a bad port.

The lean is a flat out sign of laziness. Just because it’s been gone for awhile now doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be back. And don’t speak for everyone.

Most of the world hasn’t moved on to SSD’s yet, and most SSD’s don’t have a lot of space. To say this isn’t a valid complaint is ridiculous. People should be able to play the game LAG FREE. If there is a lag, it isn’t a good port. Fact. And, quite frankly, this game taking up 55gbs is inexcusable. That is WAY to much for what this game brings to the table, and then it STILL has that lag. Just horrible.

You’ve just learned to suck it up. Simply better than Ghosts is a good port to you, and that’s just stupid. Compared to CoD 4, WaW, BO1 are all great versions, BO2 is solid, MW2, MW3 and AW are bad, and Ghosts is the worst thing conceivable. MW2 and MW3 are not suddenly good ports because they’re better than Ghosts. Keep talking like this and we’re going to keep getting screwed over, with your unconditional buys and BS tolerance. You’re part of the problem. Things don’t change if people don’t take a stand for them.

          • TheShadowReaper

you shouldnt speak for everyone either. i’m not going to miss a lean feature, that’s for sure.

ehhhm? you do realize that you countered your point by yourself? “Most of the world hasn’t moved on to SSD’s yet, and most SSD’s don’t have a lot of space.” yes, most of the world still has HDDs! and most of them have 1TB HDDs! so its not a valid point! thank you very much.

you are discrediting the AW port for no particular reason. yes it not the best of ports but when it comes to optimization and sliders its amazing! and that’s what matters mostly. now, why discredit the port because ATVI doesnt want to give us dedi servers? you are attacking the wrong party, the developers, which have no control over what their publisher says.

you sound a lot of bitter and i dont know why. yes, MW2, MW3 and Ghosts are bad ports but AW is nowhere near close to those pieces of shit. did you forget the extensive graphic sliders that AW gave you? the good optimization? none of that is present in MW2, MW3 and Ghosts. instead of discrediting AW for what it is you should instead just accept that its a good port. its not the best of ports. we have seen better (aka WaW, BO and BO2) but its definitely not a bad port. period.

          • ben wills

MW3 is probably a better port. It at least had an unranked server browser. Not to mention the campaign of this port lacks all those sliders. The optimization is equal or better than AW. No one got that start of game lag in MW3. It lacked an FOV slider, but so does Campaign in AW. It all comes down to how you personally weight it, but no matter how you put it they’re in the same quality area. Ghosts has nothing. It’s lower than all of them.

I didn’t contradict myself at all, you’re just reading impaired today. Sad, because I’ve seen you have a somewhat intelligent conversation before, but today is seems you’re fixated in your own opinion. No matter how much logic or discussion points I bring to the table you’re going to deny it when you didn’t even read the statement. But, I’ll say it again. NO user should have to deal with crippling lag. You get crippling lag if you DON’T have an SSD. IF you have an SSD, then it’s still a 55GB game, which regardless of SSD’s is WAY TOO MUCH. And, of course, on an SSD, the only way to not get horrible lag, then it’s a ton of space for that device.

Since you don’t seem to get it, I’ll spell it out simply for you
            A) NO user should get crippling lag like that, being well above the requirements (which, as a side note, are ridiculous for AW, but that’s another issue for why this port is horrible)
            B) The game SHOULD NOT be 55 GB’S. No user, regardless of hard drive, internet, or whatever should have to deal with this game being 55 GB’s. It is abysmal for a game like that. And that means POOR OPTIMIZATION. Is this so hard to get? It really can’t be. I have trouble believing you’re this dumb.

I never spoke for everyone. I said myself, and people I know miss lean. It was a tactical feature of many of us. Just because you don’t miss it doesn’t mean others don’t. This was a feature in every CoD. It being gone is a sign of laziness. There is NO reason it should be gone. Fact is it never hurt anybody. It does hurt people by being gone. Therefore, it should be in the game.

If it isn’t a good port, then they’re excluding features and missing out on things. Crippling lag, no servers, no FOV in campaign, poor hardware optimization requirements and hard drive space is all unacceptable things. Simply being better than Ghosts and “working” on an extremely high end computer is not a good port. We need to consider EVERYONE. Make EVERYONE happy. You’re only concerned with yourself. That’s the problem.

And the funniest thing is that the “worse console port of the year 2010” Black Ops had a built-in server browser, developer console and Mod Tools!

Well, guys, that’s what I fucking miss from every Call of Duty after that. Despite the performance that was the best CoD on PC in the past 5 years.

    • awlagfare

      worst COD-game ever

  • I call bullshit, My game lags all the time.

    • MichiganerE

Optimization and lag are two different things. Optimization is how good or bad a game is developed or ported for a certain platform. Lag depends on the connections of a game.

      • DanDustEmOff

You’re right they are but both can manifest themselves in very similar ways. Frame rate drops tend to look just like network latency to untrained eye, as can microstutter and input lag.

  • TheShadowReaper softly wets himself at this post

    • TheShadowReaper

glad you mentioned it, i nearly forgot that i did.

  • Ryumoau

Great news for pc players i guess.

  • Daniel

Once they make the hit detection decent, this will be the best cod ever

  • Hardware optimization is one thing – and I will admit it seems to run pretty dang good (and I could use a graphics card upgrade) but connection optimization is another – and right now this game is horrendous with latency and hit registration issues. Any game can look pretty but it doesn’t matter when you have garbage P2P connections in the background ruining almost every game.

  • zombiefreak935

Just wondering but did anyone else notice some of the aw campaign maps looked familiar?

    • Familiar with what?

  • Tricky VIk

“I kinda feel like they forgot about PS3, I wish there were better hit detection and stable connections.”

  • canadaay

what does this mean for people don’t know anything about anything he said in the vid

  • J4MES

The optimisation of AW on PC is incredible compared to Ghosts but the only thing letting it down is the bad connections and lag thanks to skill-based matchmaking. This is nothing to do with the PC port itself but the actual infrastructure of the game as a whole. If SHG remove SMB and improve their server stability; it will be a solid release. They’ve done that hard bit but it would be a shame for them to shoot themselves in the foot with shitty servers after all their efforts.

    • Johnny

Most lag issues aren’t from connections. It’s graphical hiccups. Turn down your settings and it will completely go away.

      • J4MES

It’s all down to SBM and nothing to do with graphics. I’ve tested the game on a range of settings online and offline and the only problems that stem is when the matchmaking algorithms plant me in lobbies unsuitable for my locale. Some lobbies it’s fine and others it’s a nightmare.

    • ben wills

The PC Port simply working does not make it good. MW2 still worked, but the port was beyond horrific.

  • ScOott

    Second patch today ?

    • Just downloaded it, I freaking hope it won’t reset the camo challenges this time.

      • Guywithbrains

I think you can check those patch notes from earlier news about patch coming. I think there are rest of patches we got today.

        • They are, or they’re supposed to be. Last time they just gave us the patch notes but never told which would be in part 1 or 2, so people just prestiged and woops, there goes camo challenges.

          • Guywithbrains

I don’t go for camo challenges except gold because it is so easy to get and it will be the only one I will use. When I get my max prestige then I go for diamond.

          • Rodoe528

But wouldn’t it be a waste of time? You could do both at once

  • jrnotaloka

There’s an update on the ps4 right now for aw

  • IceKoldKilla

Well I’m glad for PC gamers. They deserve to get a well optimized CoD. After all it started on PC. Congrats to Sledgehammer Games. I have yet to buy it because I’m broke but hopefully in a couple of months.

    • Rodoe528

      Worth it

  • Bob

Hey charlieintel! A new patch just came out for ps4. Just letting you guys know.

  • Take Two

It’s fucking great to play with kb and mouse on consoles, can’t understoond retards with controller

    • PatPatPat

And i can’t understand why PC elitists always pick a fight.

  • ben wills

The PC version isn’t good. I wish people would stop spreading this for simply not being Ghosts.

Does it work? Yes, that makes it better than Ghosts. That is not equivalent to a good port.

There is PING BARS. NO respecable PC game as ping bars. This is just horrible, and truly shows they don’t care. PC lean also isn’t back. There is NO reason for it not to be back, but they’re lazy. There are NO servers or server browser either. All of these things make AW’s port embarassing.

Not to mention the brutal Ghosts like lag at the start of games. Sure, it eventually fixes itself, but if you don’t have an SSD (with 55 gbs of space might I add [horrible optimization]) then you get crippling lag at the start of games.

The port is NOT good. Stop saying it is. You’re caving and taking shit.

  • Trygve

Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahah I have never heard a fatter lie in my LIFE

  • John

I am done with Ad. warfare…Almost ever person is a hacker….The lag is crazy..I have been playing COD for about 8 years…I am not a noob whatsoever but when I see most of the players with 35 and 3 and I am at 3 and 35 then something is seriously wrong…

  • chris

BULLSHIT, THIS GAME RUNS HORRIBLE ON PC, I HAVE AN EVGA GTX 970 FTW WITH AN AMD FX 6100 6 CORE CPU AND 16GB RAM, YOU’RE GUNNA TELL ME HOW WELL IT’S OPTIMIZED AND I CAN’T EVEN HOLD 45 FRAMES IN THE GOD DAMN MENU’S?!?!?! DO NOT BUY, THIS ARTICLE IS BULLSHIT, VISIT THE PC FORUMS AND YOU WILL SEE OTHERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM! I RUN THE SAME GOD DAMN SETTINGS AS A 360 IN 1600X900 WINDOWED AND I WILL BE LUCKY IF IT STUTTERS AND FRAMES DROP HALF OF THE MATCH! DO NOT PURCHASE BASED OFF OF THIS ARTICLE, I DID AND NOW I’M OUT 100 FUCKING DOLLARS. COCKSUCKER FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!

  • Andrew Villani

Uh, no. Black Ops 2 is a rarity in PC optimization. It has a frame limiter, a truly optimized Vsync option, and runs smooth as silk on the slowest of PCs. This game is nothing close to that. Digital Foundry is smoking crack.
