That is a lot of money…

    • Dr. Salim

      Thanks for clarifying that. 🙂

  • And through a quick calculation I believe I have contributed around $650 to that and have close to 7,000 hours in game since starting almost 12 years ago. Sad to think 2015 could possibly be my last year if things don’t change for the PC platform.

    • Its sad to think that there will be no way that CoD will support PC like they did in their earlier titles. They will eventually stop making it for PC and only focus on console. Maybe in a few years, PC will dominate the gaming industry and CoD will realize they’ve made a mistake in what they’re doing.

    • jooker-jr

I’m console player but developing a game for the stronger platform will make it better to port it to other platforms Right ? So why the PC ports are bad for most cod games ?

      • J4MES

PC ports for COD aren’t bad – it’s just many people can’t optimize their games properly then blame the software when it doesn’t work accordingly. I’ve had no trouble over the years with the games although the lack of interest in the brand on PC will probably see it end in a few years. I used to play COD on Xbox all the time where it was a premium title but on PC; it’s just another game out of thousands available in a crowded genre.

OK, thanks for the correction 🙂

Yet still no dedicated servers lol.

    • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

Lol they could make hundreds of millions of them bruh!

    • dare to adnan

Actually, there are dedicated servers. You just won’t notice if you are on one.

      This video explains everything: http://youtu.be/Yo_cj8AUCwI

      • Favorite Ape

Test it yourself. It’s complete BS. Dedicated servers they have are NOT for gameplay. There are no dedicated servers for gameplay at all.

        • Daniel

          Yes it is

      • jooker-jr

But we want full DS support.

        • Favorite Ape

Why would you want the best possible connection for a AAA, 11 billion dollar game? We should continue to shill for the worst connection. That will keep players happy and help the franchise grow.

      • common sense

If you believe what Drit0r tells you, you are an idiot straight up. Drift0r is an idiot, he spreads lies all over and he’s a talking head for Activision. He’s an idiot that’s all there is to it. If you believe there are dedicated servers on cod you need your head checked.

    • Rorke File

I still dont why, they didnt.

    • jooker-jr

If it work, don’t fix it ( even though host doesn’t work well )

      • Favorite Ape

Doesn’t work. Why keep the worst, outdated connection? Been an issue for years. Better question, why would you shill for the worst connection? Weird…

  • MSTAR020

    Does this include DLC sales?

    • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

      pretty sure, yeah.

  • F1maniac

WOW!!!!!!TO CELEBRATE THAT,,,,, I THINK THAT THEY WILL GIVE FREE DLC CONTENT!!!!!OR NO?????

    • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

      Not gonna happen, bruh.

    • jooker-jr

      #TheStruggleIsReal 🙁

    • zack

The only thing free we will ever get was that shitty enlisted devil mask at Christmas. Ironic they gave us a satan mask on Christmas huh? Even more ironic is spell check suggesting i capitalize satan’s name.

  • Zeta

To celebrate remake of original call of duty please! 🙂

    • Dr. Salim

      They already did that.

      • Zeta

        For Xbox one and ps4.

        • kplem

          it would suck without mods, a servers browser, 100+ players servers (optional), g_gravity 30 g_speed 500 and jump_height 400

          • RdJokr

You want 100+ players on a COD map? Not even Stonehaven can satisfy that.

          • SPAWNST4R

There used to be absolutely huge (and I mean huge that would make stonehaven look like Rust) maps on PC CoD1/2/4

          • kplem

COD 1 maps were big as well as it is a good laugh. hardcore 100 player FFA cod 4 shipment is always a good laugh all you need is sonic boom and martydrom. i always go on hardcore TDM 30v30 or more it is fun as!

        • jooker-jr

But who should make it ? IW or treyarch ?
I guess treyarch will do a WW game but its IW developed cod 1.

  • meow

if we could of gotten refunds this would of been much different xD

  • obama

Obama says to destroy cod before its tskes over america

  • Cool. Now we can all wish we had eleven billion dollars :/

  • travis

It’s sad because all these 17-18 year olds don’t even recognize the image heading this article.

    • Maybe most but not all. I recognize it and i’m 17. It’s Call of Duty 1’s cover image. I still have yet to play the game though.

    • Xecho

I recognize it. I played CoD1 all console versions of CoD1 and 2 and 3 up to AW.

    • MichiganerE

I’m 16 and recognized this right away, this game was my childhood.

    • Favorite Ape

As soon as I saw Kevin Spacey and Chris Evans in the picture I knew!

    • Daniel

      Im 17 and I do

  • Favorite Ape

And yet they are still to embarrassed to admit the dismal sales for AW.

    • jooker-jr

Why do you think that the publisher of the biggest game franchise will announce that the game is dying ? I can’t imgane it.

      • Favorite Ape

        They announced ghosts.

        • jooker-jr

I think its because ghosts set a record for its launch.

          • MichiganerE

            What record was that?

          • jooker-jr
          • MichiganerE

*Facepalm* Ghosts didn’t break any records. All Activision did was just sell $1 billion worth of copies to retailers and stores. It didn’t make a billion from consumers in a day.

          • jooker-jr

Didn’t mean for the industry, just for cod.

          • MichiganerE

It’s not record breaking because it doesn’t matter. If $1 billion worth of copies were sold to consumer in a day, then it would be record breaking. But because it was $1 billion worth of copies to sold to retailers, it’s not impressive and is irrelevant.

          • jooker-jr

            Ok, thanks for the correction.

  • SPAWNST4R

And the franchise wouldn’t of even got off the ground if the PC gamers hadn’t of picked it up and shown the devs what was possible with mods and conversions, the same PC gamers that are shit on the most by Call of Duty now.

    • zack

      Thank you!

      Sincerely, Console Gamer

Having played COD since the very day the original game was released; it’s quite sad to see how it’s changed over the years. It used to be a mature shooter developed by an amazing group of programmers but in recent years; it’s been dumbed-down for kids, commercialised to death and so many personnel particularly associated with the new IW are absolutely clueless. It’s a great brand but for me; interest was waning when MW3 and the competitive aspect arrived.

COD’s biggest customer these days is probably mummies and daddies before Christmas. Many people in my generation have stopped playing now as it feels as if we’ve outgrown it. It’s weird but lots of players I play with and against on a daily basis now weren’t even ALIVE when COD originated!

    • GinsuVictim

Everyone in my 28 member clan is between 33-42 and we aren’t near tired of this series. It’s a great way for us to hang out and work together. I’ve made several friends thanks to CoD…..and many enemies.

  • Tim Vikouski

would of been a lot more sexcept for the last 2 failed years and now people and gonna watch videos before they buy another thanks to infinity and SH games they dropped the ball on the last 2 titles

    • Daniel

Advanced Warfare sucks. It is essentially Ghosts with useless exo-suits.
