Microsoft has just revealed the new Xbox One Elite Controller. This new controller will offer “pro level precision.” The wireless pad has hair trigger locks, swappable components, and button and paddle remapping. No price or release date announced yet…

Good now if my Scuf breaks again for the millionth time i will just buy this.

  • Jono Griffiths

This a day one for me

  • Aceshigh87

Would love if Sony came out with something like this now. Don’t own an XB1 and can’t afford a scuf but would love me a paddle controller.

At the very least maybe it will mean scuf prices come down a bit.

    • Dale McLean

dude if you want a cheap controller like that and are from the UK use Nifty Customs, use the code ECLIPSE for 10% off, i got a custom controller for only £65, which is only around £10 more than a regular controller, that was with a paintjob, if not then i hope you find something cheap in your area

    • Thatlazykid

If Sony doesn’t do that then Sony fucked up big time
I would give credits to xbox one tho :/

      • BobFour

?.. to who how old are you?

        • Thatlazykid

          Why does it matter?

          I am 19 ?

          • BobFour

The DS4 is awesome already its the best..

    • Gareth Hughes

You don’t need a scuff mate. I bought a one from eBay by a guy who’s makes his own scuffs. It’s spot on for £53

      • Rampage

Yea but scuf are tournament ready. When I played at a lan they checked my controller to make sure there are no mods

    • BobFour

No thanks maybe you for me it would get in the way and why?..

  • Tdizzle

    Scuf go bye bye haha

  • lunator100hd .

I hope is cheaper than scuf atherwise dosent make any difference for me

  • Tsaki

As a Playstation player I am really jealous of the Xbox players. I really hope that Sony will make something like this in the coming months….

    • satish pydikondala

And this will never happen ??? jk it would be nice if they did that too

    • ScOott

What time is the ps4 connfrence ?

      • LovekillerX

Sony’s conference is about 7 hours from now I think. 2 AM UK according to LongSensation.

        • ScOott

(Sigh) il wait till Tomoz to watch it then.. Probz best, I watched microsofts and because it was live, had some bad connection through Parts ..

      • Tsaki

In about 6 hours. There is a timer at the front page of CI

      • cbns007

        6pm PST, 9pm EST.

    • jordanxbrookes

I think Sony will still show something impressive 🙂

  • ScOott

I hope it releases in time for bo3

    • BobFour

      Looks horrible..

      • ScOott

Why does it ? .. I think it looks really good, plus it’s Microsoft so not likely to break un like scuff and if it did, Microsoft replace them for free, never had a scuff as heard bad things about them, but now I can buy with confidence that it will be good ..

        • hose

Microsoft has a 3 month warranty for accessories. I think you should do your research. It’s not worth buying this $150 controller if they’re not gonna have at least a 2-3 year or lifetime warranty. Trust me my day one controllers thumb sticks stopped working properly and they refused to fix it or even accept my money to pay them to fix it. Microsoft blows with caring for customers

          • ScOott

It really doesn’t my day one controller still works fine, I’ve dropped a couple of controllers and sent them away to be fixed and got them both back from Microsoft, I think you should do your research, because It’s more like a year not 3 months, all you have to do is print a sticker off and send it, the only problem I’ve had with Microsoft is, one of my controllers took the piss to get back to me, it was a re- chargeable one, and it took two weeks to get to get the batterie pack back, and another 4 weeks to get the controller back, their was a “mix up” on their part.. But I was still happy I got it repaired for free both times ..

          • Hovering poo

Hey idiot the warranty for accessories is 90 days. Like I said before, do your research. Anyone here will tell you. I’m also an Xbox ambassador and Beta tester for years. Hmm

          • ScOott

you clearly don’t know what your talking about, have a good day Mr ambassador ..

  • Thatlazykid

    Charlieintel is blowing up ?

  • Ryumoau

that controller looks pretty awesome. 🙂

  • Michael H

YES!!! Now I can get this in replace for a scuf one. I’ve always wanted a scuf, but my parents don’t like ordering stuff online. 100% getting this!

  • ScOott

    Wow gears of war tho!

  • lunator100hd .

    Where is the bo3 reveal?

    • ScOott

      Playstation maybe ?

      • lunator100hd .

Have any shitty ytber uploded mp gameplay yet ?

        • ScOott

No, playstation must have dlc first, and going to show it at their conference ..

          • lunator100hd .

            You just speculating

          • hahahaha

Hahahahaha no call of duty for xbox

          • Smayo

Really ? What did I pre-ordered then last week ??

          • ScOott

Yh.. I can’t see activision giving the contract up..just my opinion ..

          • Aceshigh87

It doesn’t mean PS necessarily has the DLC first. There could be no exclusivity and Sony just signed Activision up to talk about CoD at their conference which would make sense since they’ll already be there to talk about Destiny.

I’d love to be wrong and have Sony getting DLC first but I think it’s gonna be no exclusivity this time around.

          • Smayo

2 options left now, or sony got the exclusivity DLC deal, or there will be no exclusivity at all this year, and treyarch will present bo3 on their own boot.

    • Guywithbrains

No Black Ops 3 reveal at Xbox press conference… that is so odd. Equality here we come I guess?

  • Melchor

    Well played Microsoft, well played…

  • Siftblade of Rivia

    RIP Scuf

  • Will preorder!

  • LovekillerX

Okay so I have to cancel my words… I was wrong about Black Ops 3 at Xbox’s conference but that was because of Xbox UK misleading with it’s picture on Twitter.

I have to wait for 4 AM (Sony)… I’m going to die!

  • xboxissick

The paddle was the only thing that was good from Xbox they are sick they don’t have call of duty ps4 here it comes hahabah

  • NumbCorns

please be cheaper than scuf! so i don’t have to buy scuf

    • Umpman Joe

They’re selling it for $150. A simple 2 button black scuf with no grip, no trigger stops, no remapping, no thumbtacks is $130 shipped. You get every feature scuf offers plus more like adjustable thumbstick tension and remapping of front buttons for almost the same price. If you add every feature scuf offers on a controller not including different shells, its over $250

  • hahahahiloveit

Hahahahahahahahahha Also, try not to miss the Sony Conference. Trust us… bo PlayStation hahahahahshs

  • ghosts sucks

Looks sick. Hope it doesn’t cost a boat load

  • Josh2242

    Honestly, it looks bland

  • LovekillerX
    • Dr. Salim

I hope that is a custom camo!

      • LovekillerX

First picture of Gunsmith so it should be a custom camo.

  • ezskinsezlife

    Rip scuf

  • LovekillerX
  • Vicsupreme

    RIP Scuf

  • pretty much a scuf controller but better ino

  • i love the lock and unlock trigger feature because you don’t have to open and close your controller every time just to remove the trigger stops

    • Umpman Joe

Yeah thats awesome. And adjustable thumbstick tension- Winner

  • Edwin Cortez

If the controller is cheaper than a Scuf then it will be a really good thing.

    • Umpman Joe

It is.

    • GinsuVictim

Yeah, I just saw the price update over on Kotaku.
      WTF?!?
They are out of their damn minds!

      • It really is cheaper though. The starting point for most Scuf controllers is 140-150 before you add anything to them.

        • GinsuVictim

Yeah, but the cost for MS to make this is so much cheaper. They shouldn’t be around the same price as the competition.
The main thing is trying to convince the average gamer to buy something this expensive. The majority of gamers aren’t Dew-fueled and sweaty.

          • Its priced as a luxury item, but it is where it should be as far as custom controllers go.
It might be cost them less than that, but companies need profit. If people are willing to pay, they will charge that. Just ask Apple how much all their products actually cost to make.

          • GinsuVictim

If they want profit, charge a price people will actually pay. More sales = more profit in the long run.

          • It might cost them 5 dollars to actually make one, but being a company they are charging what people are willing to pay.
For people that arent willing to buy this one, the regular controller is still available.
Comparable Scuf controllers are over $200 bucks.
I feel like a Microsoft rep…Its kindof like headsets, you can buy a super cheap pair of Turtle Beaches for 30 bucks and it will do the job. Or you can get something like a 300 dollar pair of Astro A50’s. You don’t HAVE to have the A50’s to enjoy your games. The elite controller is just an option. If Microsoft were to come out and say this is their only controller at $150, then I would understand people being upset about this.

          • GinsuVictim

There just isn’t enough here to warrant that big of a price difference. I’ll just continue making my own version of Scuf controllers for considerably less.

          • Alrighty then.

    • I’ve forgotten.. again!

Yeah, but that’s RRP. I’d like to think you could pick them up for under £/$100.

      Very, very nice.

      • GinsuVictim

MSRP will apply for a while until stores can’t move the things, but they’ll definitely be $150 at first.

        • I’ve forgotten.. again!

          I can wait :O

  • imBATMAN

Microsoft just gave Scuff the finger!

    • GinsuVictim

Too bad they didn’t price it cheaper to really compete, that would’ve been a Ricky double-finger
      https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/f9/71/ac/f971acd2acaa76157da3e1ba2014abc0.jpg

      • imBATMAN

        how much is it?

        • GinsuVictim

          $150

          • imBATMAN

            too much for me lol

      • Umpman Joe

How can you say that? It is cheaper than a Scuf. Yes, it’s $150, but that’s for every feature, some of which Scuf doesn’t have and 3 sets of thumbsticks. A simple 2 paddle Scuf with nothing else (no grip, trigger stops, remapping,Scuf sticks) is $125 shipped and you have to wait 2 weeks and good luck if it breaks. If you added every feature Scuf currently offers onto a stock black controller the cost is over $250 and you still only get 1 set of thumbsticks, no remapping of front buttons, no adjustable tension on thumbsticks and you need a stupid Allen key that strips all the time for trigger stops. This hurts Scuf for the Xbox. Only reason to buy a Scuf one will be because it’s probably lighter and you can get designs, but at least with the elite controller, you have a good warranty.

What Scuf has going for them is the fact that BO3 moved to ps4 so they will sell a ton of those, those why they just announced the pro version of their 4ps controller with longer life switches and better paddles.

        • GinsuVictim

They need this to appeal to more than just us. Most people aren’t going to pay $150 for a controller.

          • Umpman Joe

they’re trying to appeal to the pro gamer and hardcore people like us. They’re going after the scuf customers and they got them. I have 2 scufs (one for each console) and 3 cinch controllers (2 for Xbox and 1 for scuf) This hurts both companies. If I can get a stock controller that has more features than either company can offer, is cheaper, and has a factory warranty, I’m sold. Biggest problem with scuf is customer service. If your controller breaks, they take 4-6 weeks to return it and if your out of warranty, your screwed. To top it off, the scuf warranty sucks. Here, your gonna get a store return period (best buy is 45 days for elite plus), a manufacturers warranty, option to add store extended warranty, and a warranty through credit card if you have that. All for at least $100 cheaper than scuf or cinch

          • Umpman Joe

Plus, i personally don’t want every casual COD player out there using a scuf style controller. Think about how much it would suck if you are trying to do some pub stomping and everyone was drop shoting with ease and sound whoring because they have astro with mixamp.

  • moonwalker925

I suppose it must be comforting that in this 10th anniversary year of Xbox 360 , that the elite concept still includes AA batteries :))

    • GinsuVictim

That’s fine. Rechargeable batteries can be swapped out easily. It’s one of the things I like most about their controllers.

  • xxnekexx

wow a lifehack joystick ? Note most of you will still suck balls and sit in dark corners like a blair witch reject but hey its your money

  • Scarecrow

These paddles are better than scuff paddles. Easier to reach. Can’t wait

  • Well it sucks I already have a Scuf lol.

    • Umpman Joe

but when it breaks, and it will, you can get a xbox elite

  • Umpman Joe

This it hurts Scuf gaming. • Cheesesteakwit

Now Scuf will get cheaper or they will go out of business. Great move Microsoft. Xbox One is a superior product to PS4!!!

  • This controller looks really nice.
