In 2012, Activision released Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies for iOS, allowing iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch owners to play a mobile version of Call of Duty’s Zombies mode. The app has not been updated for over a year and half, till now. Today, Activision pushed out an update for the app, making it compatible with iOS 8 and 9, and adding support for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus screen sizes.

The Call of Duty®: Zombies phenomenon has risen back to life. Adapted from the best-selling console hit and built specifically for tablets and smartphones, Call of Duty®: Black Ops Zombies delivers maps and weapons never before seen on mobile, and 50 levels of “Dead-Ops Arcade,” a 50-level zombie gauntlet that provides the ultimate undead challenge for fans of Call of Duty’s signature zombie warfare.

New in Version 1.3.4:

  • Now compatible with iOS 8/9
  • Added iPhone 6, 6 plus, iPad Air compatibility
  • Online Multiplayer connection improvements
  • Various bug fixes

If you’ve already bought this app, the update is free. If you haven’t yet, the app costs $6.99 on the App Store.

I remember playing this before I got my 360. It was pretty fun for the price.

    • The 360 came out in 2005 and it took you 7 years to get it?

      • Koolz

        Yes actually lol.

        • why

          • Koolz

I was mainly a Nintendo player, but after I played CoD at my cousin’s house I knew I wanted to get one.

Not everyone is made of money, who knew?

        • 7 years is more than enough time.

  • if only they could’ve added Five, Shangri-la and moon…

    • Psychomaggot105

They need to make a BO2 zombies app with smaller maps than the originals. Put in stuff like town, farm, maybe even DINER, Nuketown, Cell Block, the maze in buried (maybe) or the bottom part of buried excluding the witch house (the part you play in when doing Grief mode), and the crazy place in Origins. I always wanted to play Grief in that, but Daly it was never available.

    • Patrick Murray

I doubt that many maps can run on mobile even if they are smaller
