Activision has stated that year over year revenue from the Call of Duty franchise has increased by double digits because of revenues generated from high sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and Advanced Warfare’s Supply Drop system.

Activision Publishing’s Call of Duty® franchise year-to-date non-GAAP revenues increased by a double-digit percentage year-over- year due to strong catalog sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, both for full game and Supply Drops. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare remains the No. 1 game on next-generation consoles life-to-date as it has been since its launch a year ago.

Furst. I am not suprised. Activision is money addicted for their stakeholders

  • Tacfire

Remember back when Michael Condrey said supply drops wouldn’t be monetized? Cos I do 🙂

    • Black Six

Fuck that guy. I HATE Michael Condrey & SHG with a passion, they’re WAY worse than IW. I wish Activision never gave them the keys to this franchise.

    • CrowReap .

      I remember that.

    • Guywithbrains

And they didn’t. There was no talk about ADVANCED supply drops.

It takes skill to set words right. And seems like Activision set words right.

      • LovekillerX

        Yeah people should pay attention.

        • ScOott

Totally! Should pay attention to being tricked by marketing b.s .. When advsnced supply drops were not even a thing, the kind of ignorant comment ive come to expect of u .. Ur a clever boy ..

          • ICallUpShotgun

I like how you spell advanced supply drops 😉 jk

          • ScOott

Lmao my phone auto corrects it to that, for some reason ..

      • ccrows

Exactly, it’s like when Bowling said all of this:

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrFE60imi8s

^ but he never said anything about “Final Stand or Dead Mans Hand”… 😉

        • jordanxbrookes

I miss Robert Bowling. Best CM under Infinity Ward :/

          • RdJokr

And then Teanah happened… I hope IW gets a better CM next year.

      • ScOott

Real skill Lmao, just marketing b.s that u have fallen for .. Advsnced supply drops didn’t even exists, how was anyone ment to know that they would just re name it, after u just made such a smart comment u let ur self down with a stupid one ..

  • RdJokr

“and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, both for full game and Supply Drops.”

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why Activision will never let go of the Supply Drop system. It’s gonna be in BO3, it’s gonna be in Ghosts 2, AW2 and every COD in the future unless there’s a better system that is more profitable for Activision.

    • Kill Denied

A free-to-play Call of Duty for all platforms that contains classic weapons, maps and gameplay. Money comes from cosmetic stuff only.

      • Shantzonpoint

I wouldn’t mind this but they will do whatever is necessary to increase micro transaction profits. Cosmetics will work for a bit but once those sales slow down you can expect weapons and equipment and such. That’s why micro transactions did so well in AW. Everybody wanted the elite weapons.

      • A greatest hits, like that weird Chinese online version with all the different maps and guns in would be amazing. If they just outright said “this game isn’t going to revolutionise anything, it’s just everything that was good about COD in one game”, I’d buy it

    • Black Six

Black Ops 3 supply drops will not be as draconian and bullshit as AWs, thank god for Treyarch. Fuck everything AW brought to this franchise.

      • dan

And here we have a delusional Treyarch fanboy, guys.

        • ScOott

They allready said it will be just cosmetic.. U will be able to get different looking attatchments, camos and armour..

          • Drink Bleach

For now, but you wait, until Activision tells them to do the same as AW. These “supply drops” are now gonna be in every cod from now on.

          • ScOott

I’m not doubting they are, but after fan back lash of, changing weapon stats, I very much doubt they will bring back gun veriants, they need to make money but they need to keep customers happy at the same time .. Cosmetic stuff makes the best business sense ..

          • Drink Bleach

I remember when pre-ordering actually meant something, not anymore and you would get the the complete game on disc, this is how it is now…

            http://starecat.com/content/wp-content/uploads/games-now-and-then-burgers-original-game-expansion-pack-dlc-content.jpg

          • ScOott

            Haha very good!!

          • BigMacMan

I’ve seen this so many time and I disagree. Sure there’s a lot more DLC these days, but it’s not as bad as the image makes it out to be

          • Crude (Michiganer’s alter ego)

            Oh yes it is.

          • Drink Bleach

You must have not gamed long then, cause that is definitely how it is nowadays.

          • BigMacMan

Can you give me some examples? Other than destiny

          • Drink Bleach

If you need examples, that just tells me you’re new to gaming.

          • BigMacMan

Well I’m not new to gaming, so unless you’re going to give me some evidence about DLC ruining video games, I’m going to have no other choice than to assume you’re just making stuff up

          • Kenny

Wtf. You make no sense. Since you are seemingly new to gaming, I’ll give you an example. Take a look at Battlefront 2. One of the best games ever IMO, and an awesome part of my childhood. When the game released, It had everything. Space battles, all the maps, weapons, vehicles, etc. Every thing was in the game. No strings attached. You bought the game for full price, and you got everything. Now take a look at Battlefront 3 (DICE/EA). Pre-order to get the battle of Jakku DLC map one week earlier. Pre-order the collectors edition and get the Han Solo blaster DLC, plus a ton of exclusive weapons and accessories to augment your experience in the battlefield! Buy the season pass for more than half the price of the game for new DLC to come out later in the year! Oh yeah, and no spacebattles, lol! Do you see what I mean? I haven’t been keeping up with battlefront after I heard there were no spacebattles in the game, so I am sure there is more of that stupid DLC preorders season pass bullshit.

          • BigMacMan

No doubt there are a few games like this, but the majority of games have large amounts of content already packed into them. Such recent titles include Batman, AC, BO3, MGSV, The Witcher 3, FO4 (based on what we’ve seen), GTAV, Halo

          • Crude (Michiganer’s alter ego)

            Where’s the micro-transactions and $50.00 season passes?

          • KK5

They are definitely moving over to the CS:GO way, with just the cosmetic stuff

          • Tommy Ledge

Out of your mind.. First they never said it was only going to be cosmetic. They said there was not going to be any weapon variants, but now we see that instead of weapon variants, they have attachment variants. Which will be the exact same thing- buffed stats over default. Second, Cosmetic stuff does not make business sense. Business is about making profit, find what people will buy most and sell it. Cosmetic items may sell, but ‘must have’ items will sell ten fold. And sure some people complained, but no studio/publisher has ever steered away from something no matter how many complaints there are as long as that something is making money. That is business sense.

          • ScOott

They Have literally confimed, u can change the look of Ur gun, different Stocks different grips so on and so on with out it changing stats.. I’m not scrolling to through the tweets to prove it to u, belive what u like …

And it perfect business sense, cosmetic sell, counter strike is thriving with how they implment cosmetic “supply drops” ..

They will take one look at number of people playing a.w plus number of complaints about gun stats, n how they wouldn’t mind cosmetic stuff, and hop on bord,

Before making decisions company’s do market reaserach to see if they could alter the business structure, to please customers and mske bigger profits, pissing off your customers by not doing this is not good business,

Activision is s multi million dolla company they know what they are doing.. They ain’t going to lose half the target audience over weapon stats when they can make more money off people playing the game buying cosmetics..

          • Tommy Ledge

All of your statements are based off of 100% speculation.. They (Trey/Atv) haven’t even mentioned weapon variants exist yet.. that is just leaked info so how could they ‘literally confirm’ that something is only cosmetic when they haven’t even confirmed they exist?? CS’s items actually have a monetary value that you can trade or sell (for actual money).. this will never happen in Cod due to the fact that 65% of it’s player base is under 18 years old. AW’s player count has only recently dropped below 6 million (different) players a week on all platforms, making it the 6th top played multiplayer game week after week this entire year. Losing ‘half their target audience’ is just an insane comment.. Who did they lose? I mean, if that statement is even remotely accurate then sales for BO3 would be half of what AW’s was.. I mean I guess it’s possible, but I highly doubt that will be the case considering all the ‘speculative hype’ the game is receiving through mindless social media nut cases.

          • ScOott

My comments are just as speculative as yours, neither of us have hard facts.. The fact I have seen a tweet saying ages ago something to do with How the different attatchments won’t effect gun stats just cosmetic change to Ur gun, Is what leads me to my opinion..

That’s all it is, my opinion, I’m not saying this is fact I can see the future.. We shall see further down the line who was right :-p ..

          • PC Brah

I think the issue is the ‘gamble’ nature of Supply Drops. You may buy one and get what you want, or 10 and not get a single worthwhile item.

I have no issues with cosmetic only etc micro transactions, but it does not seem very fair when what I am paying for is the chance to win and not the item I want itself.

I would prefer if I wanted a weed camo, I can just buy a weed camo. But with supply drops, what I am paying for is the chance.

            And that… is kinda douche-y..

The Candy Crush acquisition makes sense now. I sense a shitstorm in the near future (not on BO3 hopefully)

          • ScOott

I agree with u, I’d prefer none at all, but if they are hear to stay at least cosmetic don’t effect gamplay..

      • RdJokr

Not yet. You underestimate Activision’s ability to fuck up their own franchises.

        • Stewart Thomas

Sadly they don’t see it as being fucked up. At the end of the day it’s all about £££ and double digit % increase is anything but fucked up as far as they are concerned.

Until people stop buying them it will never change. I just hope it remains cosmetic. That way hopefully the game stays balanced and you only have people spending so they can have that lime green mankini they always wanted.

        • getsuga embrace

I’m a certain of two constants in this reality, that the Universe is infinite and human (Activision) stupidity is also as infinite.

      • Kobrah

We’ve heard that before *cough* Michael Condrey *cough*

        • RdJokr

Much as I’d like to rant on Condrey, he’s only a mere pawn who is paid to do Activision’s bidding. I don’t think he enjoys his game being butchered any more than we do.

That said, fuck his communication ability. That guy needs to take a course in Community Management 101 from Vahn. Him and Teanah.

          • Kobrah

Yes, hopefully Vahn will stand up to ATVI and not let them destroy his game

          • RdJokr

The fact that the PC team somehow got the okay to do mod tools and stuff, makes me believe that Treyarch is really standing up for their game.

Hopefully, when the moment comes, when BO3 supply drops are being charged for, at the very least, I want whatever exclusive paid content to be actually worth it. I want none of the Nigerian kneepad bullshit.

          • O.G.Bobby Johnson

Actually I think it’s because in the past few years the PC community has been at an all time low, so to get them back and generate more money they allow mods. Activision definitely had a hand in it.

          • RdJokr

Still, you’d think they would’ve done something to help, since they started fucking shit up since MW2.

          • Kobrah

I agree, the sight so far are really looking good

          • PC Brah

You’re PC bro too? I’m PC too brah.

          • ccrows

Actually that could happen TBH, since Vahn rented deds the summer before Ghosts. No other Dev seems to have that kinda pull with Activision…

          • ccrows

IMHO Teanah is the worst dealing with the community… <_<

          • ItzSikh

Nah, Teanah can just be fired and be David’s side hoe

      • LovekillerX

We don’t know that yet. There might be something that ruins the show…

    • LovekillerX

That my friend is western capitalism. Only fool wouldn’t take full advantage of emptying customer’s pockets. It isn’t stupid to ask too much but to pay too much.

      • RdJokr

I know, just making a point for those who keep asking for shit like supply drops to not be monetized. It’s a money maker for Activision, which is why that ain’t never gonna happen.

      • ScOott

It’s still stupid to ask for too much..

    • Guywithbrains

Person who asks for money isn’t stupid. Person who gives money is stupid.

      • w

you finally lived up to your name

        • Guywithbrains

You can’t say I have no brains because of my opinions. You and your upvoters only show ignorance to be honest with you. No offense.

          • Mario Rivera

These forums can be pretty harsh to the logical folks. But hey, this is a world where smart ppl are in the minority so its to be expected I guess.

No not because of your opinions, your lack of being able to make your opinions make sense .. I.e coke tastes just like water out the tap just my opinion.. Nothing wrong with having an opinion as long as u can back it up when someone questions it 🙂 not trying to start an argument <3

          • ItzSikh

you know i’m joking and love you really(No Homo)

          • Guywithbrains

Good to know. Missunderstood so never mind. 😉

  • Shantzonpoint

This just makes you expect moreally and more of this down the road. …

  • Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox

Notice how all the Black Ops games have such strong sales even years after the games release. Modern Warfare 3 and Ghosts wasn’t even mentioned.

    • RdJokr

Treyarch is the top dog now.

    • Keshav Bhat

Ghosts wasn’t mentioned for obvious reasons…and they didn’t mention MW3 cause this is Treyarch’s year. If you didn’t know, MW3 was extremely successful. It reached $1 billion in 18 days.

      • Shantzonpoint

I believe mw3 is still the most sold cod of all time.

        • Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox

          Yeah it is.

        • 3pac umaru shukar

Not the most played, though. That’s Black Ops 2.

      • Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox

Oh ok that makes because I knew MW3 sold well.

      • jordanxbrookes

I still remember logging on in MW3 on launch and there being well over a million people online. *Sigh* :/

      • just curious

What do you mean by obvious reasons?

        • PC Brah

          Sales figures sucked.

Not helped by launching in the year where market was divided between current and last gen users.

      • Sergio Valenciano

Still it was not a hit, the Black Ops saga has way more money

  • Kobrah

@keshav please link the source. I would be interested in reading the whole publishing, thanks

  • DEMOLITION12

Ghost and MW3 were better than AW and BO2

    • Skillreks

      said no one ever.

    • LovekillerX

      MW3 > potato > pile of sh*t > BO2

      • TheUltimateGuest

        BO2 > potato > pile of sh*t > AW > LovekillerX looool

But why the hate on BO2? I reckon it’s up there as one of the best cods since WAW.

        • LovekillerX

It is my personal opinion. BO2 is a lag fest with bad hit detection… no thanks. I prefer MW series and Black Ops 3 was a huge step up as a Treyarch title for me.

          • CoDforever

The hit detection in bo2 is nowhere near as bad as you guys make it seem it is ..

          • Sergio Valenciano

I hace no idea whst hit detection is

        • Guywithbrains

          My personal opinion:

Too slow time to kill, the worst net code, bad weapon balance (shoot first with SMG to get killed by sniping player who swaps to pistol), bad team balance and it is pubstomping festival and that is why so many players play it I think.

          • LovekillerX

I have played Black Ops 2 zombies lately to warm up for SoE and The Giant.

          • Tuby

I play bo 2 for warming up for this Friday.ttk was slow but good to play with. Think you did not like the game because you are not that good on bo 2. I dont need a good team to go insane.

          • Mr_ysi42t96

I had none of these problems you mentioned except the lag

          • 9/11 Did Bush

Thank you. I’m glad to see that some people are coming to their senses and realizing how crappy BO2 is. I’m not gonna lie, at times it can be pretty fun, but the game itself is terrible. That stuff and the annoying and crappy 12 year olds that fill the lobbies make it the worst CoD, at least in multiplayer.

        • Tuby

          Because he cant handle it

        • Sergio Valenciano

          WaW was the best cod

    • GinsuVictim

I agree with Ghosts, but you had to lump MW3 in there and ruin it.

    • ccrows

MW3 “was” a good game, until IW ruined it by nerfing Dead Silence and making Sitrep Pro one of the most powerful perks (if not the most powerful perk) in the entire series.

^ Literally you had to crouch walk everywhere, because you could hear footsteps coming a mile away… 🙁

      • jordanxbrookes

Yeah that was a big mistake on their part. Literally could hear enemies spawning on the other side of the map it was that bad.

    • jordanxbrookes

Better then AW yes, but wouldn’t say so about BO2. MW3 and BO2 are both equal in my books, with Ghosts falling under it, followed by AW.

    • Sergio Valenciano

You con drugs man? ghosts and MW3 where the worst of all

  • MehDuck

The only thing that made me stop playing AW was the supply drops. It was terrible. People could get OP guns in a supply drop (And the base guns weren’t even balanced yet), and people like me couldn’t get jack shit because we didn’t pay for Advanced Supply Drops.

    • spartanelite

Almost have every elite SMG and and AR and free dlc weapon haven’t bought a single ASD

      • Tuby

Thats the reason he used the word could

    • ccrows

You could still earn some great guns though.

Magnitude & Average Joe off the top of my head come to mind.

^ On top of that you got some of the best guns in the game by prestiging.

Heck I never saw the Obsidian Steed until MP1, but I had now problem grinding with the AVG Joe and Magnitude to help get it…

  • I honestly don’t get the universal hate for AW since BO3 got announced. I still enjoy the game, and I didn’t have much of a problem with the supply drops until they started blackmailing people who wanted to use the new guns. The game isn’t perfect and the shitfest of microtransaction nonsense that showed up is pretty awful but it was still a fresh take on the franchise and a lot of fun to play.

People will say the same about BO3 when it’s been out a while. COD fans are so damn pissy it’s unbelievable.

    • LovekillerX

Agreed. It was their first Call of Duty title and they brought their own idea to the table and constructed a new Call of Duty, their image of what it would be. People asked for change and now it wasn’t what they asked? Hilarious is that now they want to get back to roots but their only classic movement system will be in next IW title which probably isn’t raising too much hope among the community.

      • jordanxbrookes

        Praise be to Todd Alderman.

        • LovekillerX

He is the guy I’m talking about.

          • jordanxbrookes

I know, I’m just praising him since he’s our last hope if we ever want to see another Modern Warfare-like game.

    • cocosrevenge

Advanced Warfare is a good game yes, but the supply drop system is highly flawed which is why most people dislike the game. Some say it’s pay to win and I have to disagree; however, I’m a purist and completist who must have everything whether it be new skins for character customization pieces or weapon variants. It’s impossible to get everything when you have a gambling system that’s set on giving you what you want 15% of time while the other 85% you’re receiving the same already owned loot or unwanted enlisted/professional trash. SHG knows they been successful with this method out of cheating AW players out of their money and will continue to do so until the community as a whole takes a stand against MT ASD.

      • True, it is flawed, and I understand what you mean about being a completionist (I am also guilty) but I don’t see how it has such a damaging effect on the gameplay, like people seem to be implying all the time. The silly costumes and slightly improved gun variants are a novelty and the only time I’ve ever been overly excited by them is when I got the new Sniper.

The game has been around for long enough for most people to have all of the decent variants without paying for them, the only thing that stands out for me is that they’re adding lots of new interesting guns but forcing you to get Supply Drops to unlock them, which is shite. If this happened at the start I would’ve been furious but it strikes me that they’re desperately trying to keep people invested in AW so that they won’t just run off to BO3 when it’s released. It’s pathetic really but it makes sense from a business point of view.

I am a completionist, I hate the restriction on trying the new guns but it doesn’t spoil the gameplay for me in any way. I’ve had more fun from AW than most COD games I’ve played over recent years because it was such a different experience. In all the time I played the Multiplayer, and unlocked the majority of the guns and variants I never once spent money on a Supply Drop either. I’d say it’s more pity to people that wasted their money on that shit when they could’ve spent it on another game, or something.

        • cocosrevenge

Correct, advanced supply drops don’t hinder gameplay, but I no longer have an incentive to continue to play AW. I’ve been GMP for 9 months now, completed most of AW’s challenges and ranked diamond division on ranked play. That’s where the game loses interest for me since the only way to earn new items is through ASDs. I also have 99% of the original Elite weapon variants (most of which I earned through regular supply drops) with a few exceptions. What AW needs to do is give players like myself recognition for supporting AW and incentive to continue playing it. It’s like BO2, I have diamond for all weapons and have earned a most titles, so what’s next?

          • I agree with that completely. One thing these games never seem to do is reward people for their play time and achievements in game. I spent weeks getting Royalty on all weapons and unlocking every single gun challenge, but now I’ve done it I’ve lost interest

          • You know what did really piss me off… when they announced XP bonuses for wearing full sets of armour. I thought the full weapons master set that took me a huge amount of time and stress to finally unlock would provide a decent bonus, but it turned out pretty much everyone just used the basic set you get and got the same bonus. Absolute joke.

          • cocosrevenge

Hats off to you because I’m missing only one diamond for complete mastery and it’s one of the annoying rocket launchers. So difficult to earn, but I agree you should earn more XP based on what you have equipped, such as enlisted, professional, elite, or weapons master.

One thing that would have been cool on BO3 is, if Treyarch would reward players who are max prestige in Black Ops, Black Ops II, Ghost and Advanced warfare. Here’s my idea, tell me what you think….

The way it would work is if you’re max prestige in Black Ops, you should be rewarded with Gold camo and a special Black Ops Gold playcard. If you’re max prestige in Black Ops 2, you should be rewarded with Diamond camo and a special Black Ops 2 Diamond playcard. Finally, if you’re max prestige in Advanced Warfare, you should be rewarded with Royalty camo and a special Advanced Warfare purple Royalty playcard. Ghosts players should be rewarded with Gold camo (if they don’t have it already from Black Ops) and a special Golden Ghosts playcard. All this with their respective reticle sets included only for those who completed max prestige on the aforementioned game titles. As for Black Ops III, it should offer a distinctly different camo in game for completing weapon challenges, something we haven’t yet seen on previous COD games.

Kinda crappy that the only loyalty reward for players who played these games hardcore, are rewarded with a camo that everyone will have for reaching certain levels or prestige once.

While some don’t like to hear the words “COD Cycle” around here, AW is in the lowest point in the COD cycle.

Even popular Youtubers like Drift0r have said, “You want to get a lot of likes on your videos, slam the current COD right before the next one comes out”…

      • Guywithbrains

“DON’T WORRY THIS TIME WE ARE GETTING DA BEST GAME EVEEER!!!!11”

Oh and don’t forget those “dedicated servers” that aren’t going to exist this year either. We are getting “hybrid servers” this time too. 😉

    • Sergio Valenciano

I didn’t hste it, but it was not good, i hardly doubt that will happen, Treyarch it’s not IW, peoplr hace resliced that 3arc is way better

      • I disagree on the game not being good, but I agree that Treyarch produce better games and always have. Everything after COD3 was amazing (and I even enjoyed that)

  • J4MES

But yet again Activision wont announce how many copies Advanced Warfare actually sold. They may take pride in the huge turnover grossed from Ali-A and Tmartn subscribers through Supply Drops but a community majority would say this game was a disaster. One thing we can see is that Ghosts was a failure despite being the first COD to appear on all systems including the next(current) gen.

    • ccrows

“One thing we can see is that Ghosts was a failure despite being the
first COD to appear on all systems including the next(current) gen.”

^ TBF, while Ghosts sucked, it was the first COD on current gen.

COD2 and COD3 were the first CODs on prev gen, and IMO they were kinda meh. Even if anyone here liked COD2/3, most would agree that COD4 was the best out of the 3.

So COD4 was prev Gen’s 3rd COD, and here we are with current gen’s upcoming 3rd COD… 🙂

      • Crude (Michiganer’s alter ego)

CoD 2 was a great game and people who played it consider it one of the best of the series.

  • Skillreks

for those thinking that supply drops in bo3 will be a bad thing, hear me out!

in the supply drops, you would have a chance to get PURELY COSMETIC items. like, for instance, if you watched the Nuk3town trailer, different skins, maybe even camos. Think of it as a CS:GO type of thing. maybe you can get supply drops from just playing the game. maybe you will need a key to open the supply drop! (I’m just throwing things out there) CS:GOs type of “supply drop” is merely and purely cosmetic. maybe if they have advanced supply drops, you wouldn’t need a key to open. Also, (this is such a reach, it’s probably not even possible) what if there was a community market to sell those skins? and selling them would profit both you and Activision. I am just saying this as a hypothetical situation, and it probably won’t happen because of the life cycle of a cod. but what if you could transfer the skins between games? (now I reached the nope, no way part, sorry:P) no but seriously, the supply drops will only be purely cosmetic. and I, personally, think it helps me out more when my enemy is wearing bright purple or chrome colored equipment. tell me guys think!

    • Shantzonpoint

I don’t think anybody will mind cosmetic micro transactions but if the profits aren’t there, you can bet they’ll change it to weapons and equipment. Maybe not for bo3 but all cods moving forward.

    • ccrows

F&F, Please tear down the wall. 🙁

As for what you wrote, too many “hypotheticals”, and you really think that Activision is going to “share” money with others?… lol

      • Skillreks

if they knew what was best for them, yes. and its not as much sharing as it is them getting more profit off cosmetics.

  • LLORT

Call of Duty = revenue goes up but games become much worse year on year. I’d rather have better games as opposed to making the publisher shareholders more money. Anyone that revels in COD being successful financially over game quality represents everything wrong with this crappy industry today,

    • ccrows

” games become much worse year on year”

^ Hmmmm COD4 was waaaay better than COD3.

BO2 was a hit with the community, and many would agree that it was better than MW3.

AW may be unpopular ATM, but many would agree that it’s better than Ghosts.

^ and BO3 is on track to be better than AW…

      • Kurt Angle

Probably doesn’t mean worse but lack of a “wow” factor. The last time I felt that was at MW2s launch. Aside from that, no call of duty has delivered that feeling.

        • ccrows

Sounds like you’re burnt out on COD TBH then.

There’s plenty of other people that disagree. (sales figures)

Sure I agree that Ghosts sucked, but (being dead serious) I’d much rather play AW or any one of the BO games over MW2, and dealing with MW2’s broken BS again…

          • Kurt Angle

Yeah I mean at launch that’s how I felt. MW2 is really broken which is why I don’t play it. I do feel like I’m burnt out but hopefully black ops 3 changes that.

          • ccrows

How did you feel about BO2?…

          • Kurt Angle

I liked it a lot. But I don’t play it anymore because I’ve played it too much. I guess I felt like I needed a new Call of Duty to play and the past 2 haven’t been very good to me. So that’s probably why I feel that way.

  • Ryan Collewijn

UPDATE for bo3 xbox one pre owners you can download the digital deluxe edition content right now giant is 1.9 gb and nuketown 1.2 gb

    • ccrows

The only thing that it’s letting me download is the “Personalization Pack” and the Nuketown map. Not the game though, (I did the digital preorder too)…

  • Shantzonpoint

Micro transactions wouldn’t bother me as much if they had a store you could pick what you want to buy. Dumping money into supply drops and “hoping” you get what you want is why I won’t spend money on them.

    • J4MES

Absolutely. They’ve tried to copy the CSGO community market except you can’t trade or sell crap you get lumbered with so essentially it’s just a straight-up gamble with no compensation if it doesn’t work. Microtransactions in general aren’t bad especially cosmetic and you get exactly what you’ve paid for.

  • The people commenting better not complain about supply drops. It’s our fault for buying them and nothing more.

    • ccrows

Is it really any different than people who complain that COD sucks, but still stands in midnight release lines for the next one?… 😉

    • lunator100hd .

I have 12d in AW but still no Insanity, the strongest gun in the game, but a guy who spend 100$ got it without sweat of course im complaining dude.

      • FazalGaming

        Agreed

      • CoDforever

is insanity the hbr variant? Cause I have it and dont like it at all

    • jordanxbrookes

I’ve never bought any ASDs, not my fault.

    • J4MES

I didn’t buy any and I bet 95% of the dwindling AW community didn’t either but that few percentage of users who were committed to them spent a small fortune. I see people on YouTube spending £40 a week on that rubbish and it’s them mugs who outrageously line Activision’s pockets and allowed this revenue stream to be so prolific. I don’t mind microtransactions but I want something worthwhile in return and not Nigerian shinpads.

  • Abdigani Mohamed

i have almost have all elits including the insanaty and havent bought a singal ASD

    • Aceshigh87

Same, or at the very least all the good ones. The Insanity is about the only one I am missing. It’s just a matter of being patient and lucky.

  • Buruck Obuma

i bet TmarTn and alia funded atleast 30% of this.

    • Aidan

      probably more.

    • J4MES

and the other 70% were their subscribers..

  • GinsuVictim

    PS3 version thoughts so far:
Framerate is definitely lower than any last gen CoD.
    Playing local against bots:
Something just feels off about the engine compared to other games, probably the low framerate fucking with me. Hit detection is wonky.
Exodus crashes on me (first to the menu twice, then locked up the system). Investigating cause…
Definitely glad I cancelled my pre-order on last gen…

    • DEMOLITION12

      where can i see it?

      • GinsuVictim

It you have CFW, you can find it online.

  • Ryumoau

I guess this explains why supply drops were added to black ops 3 kinda last minute, because Treyarch said they wouldn’t be in there earlier this year. The good news is that because it was implemented late in the game, every loot seems to be purely cosmetic. i actually like that alot. 🙂

  • Heejay Cendrix ❤

I’ve quit gaming since last year should I finally buy a PS4? All I use my ps3 for is Netflix honestly ..

    • ScOott

Yes upgrade right now! .. No better feeling than watching Netflix on Ps4 that’s all I use mine for as well..

      • Heejay Cendrix ❤

So i’m not the only one that has a console for Netflix only ahaha that’s fuckin great then!!

    • Dolan

za hiyp ez rel bruh ..ye shuld by ps4 new

      • Heejay Cendrix ❤

i don’t understand shit you’re saying. don’t reply to me ever again kid

        • shadowguy14

          Let me translate:

The hype is real bro, you should by a ps4 new

  • Mother god ! “Increased revenue”+”Supply drops”+”Activision” in one sentence.. We’re officially fucked, guys 😀

  • GinsuVictim

No split screen last gen (PS3). I tried everything and there’s never an option. Zombies runs better than multiplayer, at least in local games. I have only been playing against bots and they are the dumbest bots they have ever had (bo1 bots are light years smarter), and the framerate is definitely the lowest it has been. Some maps have better fps than others. I have experienced a few crashes to the game menu, and some total system freezes.

    Glad I cancelled my pre-order.

More about last gen bots…..it’s as though they just run a pattern rather than any real AI. If they don’t see you, they just run by. If you shoot them and they don’t see you, they just keep running their pattern. On the easiest setting, if they see as much as a pinky, they will shoot you as you come around the corner. If they don’t see you though, they just jog around without a care in the world. They will run all the way to the end of a map, right to the corner, stare for a moment, then turn around and go the other way. It’s ridiculously bad.

    • ScOott

How are u playing the game if u cancelled Ur pre order :-s I don’t get it ..

      • Crude (Michiganer’s alter ego)

        By getting it without pre-ordering.

      • GinsuVictim

        Other ways 😉

        • ScOott

I won’t probe any further, how u like zombies ? Better than bo2 zombies ?

          • GinsuVictim

Barely tried it yet. Not a big fan of zombies anyway. The starting area seems really small and I lost pretty quick.

      • GinsuVictim

I forgot to mention, it does have FreeRun.

    • The great one

Wait then why does it say internet required and the box art so I cab play without internet yay!!!!!!! Now I don’t have to buy a ps4

      • GinsuVictim

The bots are the worst yet. You will be disappointed.

        • The great one

          Worst then Aw’s

          • The great one

so multiplayer last Gen doesn’t have split screen? If not well zombies have it?

          • The great one

Wait are you in the usa or what how do you have bo3

          • GinsuVictim

You didn’t reply to me, you replied to yourself.
Anyway, it’s available online for those with custom firmware in their PS3.

          • The great one

Oooo I might just get the ps4 I think it’s time for an upgrade

          • GinsuVictim

Did you not read what I said above in my initial post? They basically run a circle around the map and ignore you unless they see you. Even if you shoot at them, they don’t turn around.
It’s the biggest joke I’ve ever seen.

          • The great one

            Lmfao WOW!!!!

  • ilikebananans

The only main people to buy shit tons of supple drops were youtubers trying to get views

    • banerising

And they get their money back because they were for work.

  • FazalGaming

    Keshav isn’t gonna mention this?
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yd0CF2_2KSA

  • Digital_Veil_

The whole supply drop thing was so sickening. Thank God treyarch isn’t doing that for BO3… I bet Activision tried to push them into doing it too but they stood up for doing the right thing because at this point they are more valuable to them than SHG or IW and they really can’t have a 3rd bad COD game in a row. Wouldn’t be suprised to find the same bullshit supply drop system in the next 2 games though…

    • banerising

What are you talking about? BO3 will have Supply Drops.

  • D3ADWANTED 25

Activision is gradually becoming the worst game company in America

  • hungryandrew

Hmmm Ghosts is not on the lists.

  • Felix Lamirande

No mention of Ghosts ? weird

  • Greg Sieracki

Notice Ghosts wasn’t even mentioned, and people think Ghosts is better than AW. hahahahahahahaha

    • GinsuVictim

      I don’t think it, I know it.

  • Gdscrtr

“Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare remains the No. 1 game on next-generation
consoles life-to-date as it has been since its launch a year ago.” Compare that number to the amount playing on PC shows how much more the game was made for consoles not PC oh how times have changed. Throw in the amount of Hackers on PC and there’s the reasons you won’t see more than a few thousand playing on Steamcharts at any given time.

    • Sergio Valenciano

I like how these guys of SH say nuber one , wait for BO3 or a WaW2, and y es anly treyarch worries about PC

  • ladh

Hold on to your seats folks we are getting taken for ride, haaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaa

  • Kerry K

When can we redeem multiple duplicates for advance supply drops?
