Back in March of this year, Activision revealed to Polygon that alongside Mark Rubin’s departure, Todd Alderman joined Infinity Ward as Multiplayer Project Director. Alderman was part of the original Infinity Ward Zampella-era team that departed during the law suit back in 2010. Alderman departed along with Zampella and worked for Respawn. He then left Respawn as well and joined Riot Games.

However in February of this year, Alderman came back to Infinity Ward as Multiplayer Project Director, even stating that he never expected to be able to come back. But, according to his Linkedln page, he only worked at Infinity Ward for 4 months. He left in May 2015, and as of June 2015, he’s back at Respawn as the Lead Multiplayer Designer. It’s unclear as to why he decided to depart Infinity Ward so quickly.

Infinity Ward’s next title is expected to launch in Fall 2016, as Activision transitioned Call of Duty studio development into a three year cycle. Sledgehammer Games and Treyarch’s first title on the three year cycle have been released, but we have yet to see what Infinity Ward can do.

As of now, it’s not clear what they’re working on. Recently, Infinity Ward hired a new Director of Communcations, a former Naughty Dog employee, Eric Monacelli. In August of last year, Infinity Ward hired two other Naughty Dog developers as well.

UPDATE: Respawn and Infinity Ward have sent over a statement in regards to Todd Aldermans departure:

“I appreciated the opportunity & it was great working there but the
chance to work with my friends again was just too good.” –Todd Alderman

“Todd is a very talented guy and we wish him all the best in his new venture. ย  The team at Infinity Ward remains as excited as ever about what lies next.” –Infinity Ward

something not good is happening at IW…

  • Still relevant

    • KK5

OMG, this just made my day

    • Golden

    • It’s actually pretty obvious what he’s doing lol. He clearly infiltrating the other devs seeing what they working on and bringing it back to respawn to make their game better. Doesn’t help Rubin left so he didn’t care what he did

      • Trinityvitaliaty

Thats exactly what i was thinking.

      • Deadly Ed

The only thing that really let Ghosts down was the default maps. the rest of the game was great.

        • Definitely agree. I wish more people played ghosts or had the dlc maps which were great

        • Hawkmoon

I pretty much enjoyed Ghosts and even reached Max Prestige. In AW I only reached Level 55 and I quit.

          • CrowReap .

same thing happened to me. ghosts was fun overall. But people hated the maps which was understandable. But AW was complete garbage.

          • infinity396

you must mean BO3. AW only has 50 levels per prestige.

        • Argy

The default maps were bad and the way they did perks was also pretty bad. Besides adding unnecessary complexity, it didn’t actually balance the game and (in my opinion) made these “future-ish” soldiers feel weak. Overall game color palette was also considered fairly bland.

        • DA JOKA

GHOSTS was a complete let down all together.

    • LOL /dead

    • Haha, I would do the same if I were him. Who would want to help with such a game anyway?

    • CAMPING_CAMPER88

I’m excited for Ghosts 2. I’m looking forward to it.

    • OpinionsAreFrownedUpon

Ghost is better than anything Scabarch has ever made. IW games actually take skill to play.

      • 1.) Scabarch?

2.) Every COD takes skill in its own way. To say IW games take more skill is absurd.

        • DA JOKA

Only the OLDER cods take skill, The new ones are camping in a building getting killstreaks.

          • You can camp in any Call of Duty and do good. I have a 2KD in Black Ops 3 and I run around with a Razorback or VMP all the time. What do you mean by older CODs? Before COD4? Because in COD4 and to now you could literally camp and do great. I always rush and do great so it’s a doublessing edged sword.

    • DeadZombieGaming 12

      How wrong you were lol

    • jordanxbrookes

Nah, more like he saw Infinite Warfare and was like “wtf did they turn CoD into? Fuck it, I’m out”.

  • Smayo

Not good news, bo3 isn’t doing it for me sadly, so was hoping IW was coming with the (for me) revival of CoD MP, hopfully titanfall 2 brings that back then….

    • CoDforever

titanfall was dead before it even had a chance, most overhyped piece of shit

      • Smayo

Still play it from time to time, and besides the lack of content it is a good shooter at its core, and for an new IP (and console exclusive) it didn’t even do bad, just because it hasn’t got CoD on the box does it make it a piece of shit game

        • CoDforever

“Hey guys Even though I hated Verticality and double jumping in AW I absolutely love it in Titanfall! The smart pistol is one of the most hardest weapons to use with a HUGE skill gap! OMG I SPEND MOST OF MY AMMO JUST SHOOTING BOTS THIS IS GOTY RIGHT HERE! AND. I. ABSOLUTELY. LOVE. HOW MUCH CONTENT THIS GAME HAS”

          • Smayo

Are you really comparing the movement and the way titanfall handled the vertically with its maps to AW ? Seriously ?? I can see by your name that you are bias towards CoD but that is ridiculous, (just as the rest of your post btw).

          • CoDforever

Haha I provided reasons why that game is garbage not just because “it hasn’t got CoD on the box”

          • Smayo

You didn’t give reasons, you’d gave your opinion why you think the game is garbage, norhing wrong with not liking a game but it isn’t a shit game because of the “reasons” you gave…

          • CoDforever

Smart pistol is OP – Too much flying around getting shot from every angle – Way too much emphasis on AI – Very little content for $60

            yeah its trash

    • Will WilFredo Mendoza

I bet youre one of those kids that constantly complains on every damn title.

      • GameGandhi

I mean his/her username is “CoDforever” lol

        • CoDforever

          Hes not talking about me

      • Smayo

Butthurt I don’t like your favorite game ? There are people with other opinions and taste in the world you know…

  • Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox

I can almost guarantee just from this intel that Infinity Wards next Call Of Duty is going to suck dick yet again. If anyhow Infinity Ward call their next COD “Ghosts 2” they are retarded as fuck.

Oh well that’s none of my business cos I will be playing Black Ops 3 until the next Treyarch COD comes out. So many challeneges to complete it across Campaign, MP and Zombies. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • ScOott

The logic of this comment section, some dude leaves his job = next CoD is going to be shit .. Lol ..

Before anyone tells me how great he is, I don’t care he’s still just some dude ..

One dude out of many many dudes that work at IW .. Chill out people ..

    • CoDforever

Actually this is very bad news, Todd had a very big and important position at the studio. This is like Vahn leaving treyarch in the middle of development.

      • Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox

Exactly, this guy was Multiplayer Project Designer and left after 4 months and this game has been getting worked on for 3 years.

This means the Project Design process for multiplayer has been interrupted and their going to have to hire someone to pick up the pieces. The project is being lead in different directions due to the changing MP Project Directors.

        • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

In other words, the game is going to be worse than Ghosts.

      • ScOott

3 years to develop a game.. A guy comes in for 4 months and then leaves and its game over for IW ? Come on man …

Even if vahn him self was sick for four months of making his next CoD, does that mean it’s going to be shit ? O no man vahn got that man flu for four month had to bring some other really experianced dude in.. But this experinced dude is not called vahn so it’s going to be shit … ?

I don’t buy one man leaving being that big a deal sorry.. People just like to find something else to moan/ worry about ..

        • Will WilFredo Mendoza

You’re obviously missing the point. They had absolutely no one before Alderman, at least I assume, then they got him, lasted 4 months, and left, and now the position is OPEN, AGAIN!

          • ScOott

Can I just ask do u even know what this guy does ?

          • Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox

He is a Multiplayer Project Designer, that means he was for a period directing how the entire Multiplayer would shape up to be.

          • ScOott

And u think the big cheese is going to change what he did in the four months ? .. If the guy who does the hiring n firing is smart, and let’s assume he is to have gotten where he is, don’t u think the interveiw would of gone the long lines of look we got this, this is what we are doing, u can add to this and put ur input in from here.. They won’t chuck a year and half of work away for one guy, he’s come to improve things who ever the new guy is, not turn it to shit

          • Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox

You have to understand… it’s difficult to improve on something that wasn’t your vision to begin with. The end product is guaranteed to be inconsistent.

        • CoDforever

I dont know, but “Multiplayer Project Director” is a pretty big title .. Vahn is also the Mulitplayer Director …

Im not saying its game over for IW but so far it really isnt looking good.

If Vahn was sick Im pretty sure he would still suggest his ideas/changes to the studio and they would do what he says .. I dont think Vahn actually programs anything

          • ScOott

I’m sorry I don’t understand .. What is it that this guy does that makes it “Not looking good for IW” ?

What can this guy do that the other people at IW can’t do ? someone either above or below him ..

Because u see a fancy title and assume he is the only one capable of doing the job till they get someone new in?

I’m clueless il admit that, but I reckon u are too, and are just jumping to conclusions ..

Unless u work in a studio, and know the ins and outs, I say chill out, this news doesn’t mean it’s going to be a bad game, that’s all I’m saying ..

          • CoDforever

Its not looking good for IW because the lead online dev left at the most crucial part of development (after ghosts support has completely finished) which, you must also agree, has definitely had some sort of negative impact to IW by disrupting some stuff or things who the hell knows right, all we know is that nothing good could have possibly come out of this unless maybe IW fired him cause he was doing a shitty job.

You make good points but think of it this way, you start work on a really nice painting but your forced to stop halfway through and they get a randomn guy in to finish it, obviously it wouldnt look as good as you wanted it to.

We are clueless on everything lmao, unless we actually see or play the game we can only speculate. In my opinion i think this is pretty big news because 2015 is the most crucial year of development for IW because I think of it this way – 2014 is the year IW comes up with ideas for their next game and starts playtesting. 2015 is when they actually start making the bulk of the game. 2016 until september is when they polish up the game for launch and brainstorm dlc.

          • ScOott

The painting would look good, because it’s done by a pro, but the artist can’t finish his painting, so they bring in another famous painter to carry on the picture.. It’s the same picture, so it’s not going to change much, it will be as professinal as first intended :-p

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

Not everyone has the same talent. One has a completely different vision for the other, and can’t emulate what the other did. Anyone other than Alderman simply wouldn’t make as good of a Multiplayer mode as him. Alderman just had that certain touch. Titanfall’s main mode is Multiplayer (fuck always online gaming BTW), and he definitely had a huge impact on that game.

        • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

4 months could have made a decent impact on the game.

      • Keshav Bhat

No… Alderman wasn’t part of the project when it started. They’ve started 2016 project in 2013 after Ghosts shipped. So they were over a year & half in development by the time he joined.

        • Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox

Still he joined in the middle of development and left. The fact that they rehired him means they needed someone with his experience to direct what was already made and make it even better but he chose to leave.

          • Keshav Bhat

Where did we report that he himself decided to leave? We said he left, but who knows if it was his decision or he was pushed out.

          • Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox

So your saying he got sacked? You said in the article… “He left in May 2015, and as of June 2015, heโ€™s back at Respawn as the Lead Multiplayer Designer. Itโ€™s unclear as to why he decided to depart Infinity Ward so quickly.”

          • CoDforever

Theirs either 3 things that could have gone down:

            1) He got fired

            2) He didnt like what was being made

            3) Respawn really wanted him back

          • RdJokr

            You forgot
            4) Alderman was secretly a double agent, who went back to IW only to sabotage what they were working on, in favor of Respawn.

It’s crazy, but seeing as he went back to Respawn, it’s a possibility. Corporate espionage is very serious business.

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

He probably felt more ‘at-home’ with Respawn. He didn’t know very many people at the current Infinity Ward studio, and perhaps didn’t have enough passion to continue working. The guy needs to make up his mind about what studio he works for, I know that much. lmao

          • Keshav Bhat

That’s me assuming that he left, but ATVI and IW have not confirmed if he left or he was pushed out.

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

Inb4 complainers say that this is a clickbait article.

          • jordanxbrookes

I personally think there’s still too much heat between him and Activision, and he just couldn’t let it go. At least he’s back working on Titanfall 2 so it’s not all doom and gloom ๐Ÿ™‚

          • Keshav Bhat

Well, we do not know if he is working on Titanfall 2. Respawn is working on two different games right now. So could be either.

    • Will WilFredo Mendoza

“Alderman came back as Multiplayer Project Director, even stating that he never expected to be able to come back. But, according to his Linkedln page, he only worked at Infinity Ward for 4 months. He left in May 2015.”

ONE DUDE that was RESPONSIBLE for Multiplayer.

This indicates that they have NO ONE for that position, so yea, it does make a difference.

      • Keshav Bhat

Multiplayer is not made by 1 person. Plus, when he joined, IW was over a year into the new titles development. They started COD2016 development right after Ghosts launched in 2013. So they were half way through development when he joined. There’s a bug team for MP. Let’s not over react till we see what they’re doing next year.

        • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

One position can change an entire game. IW can’t make a good game, anymore.

          • Aldo

One position can also not change an entire game! It’s all if’s and but’s and we’ll probable never know what impact he had or didn’t have.

      • ScOott

What ever u say man lol .. But guess what .. Y’all still going to go out n buy it day one ?.. U honestly think they will stop multiplayer development because one guy left, n this one guy holds the key to everything, he’s the only one they know who can do this shit ? W.e

Il leave u with ur conspiracy theories ..

        • Will WilFredo Mendoza

Im a 3ARC FANBOY. I dont buy IW and SHG. Apart from MW1 and MW2.

          • ccrows

Why not be a “COD” fanboy?

Treyarch after all did make COD3, and rose from the ashes from that right. IW should be allowed to have one skunk game too…

        • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

He was the main talent behind the Multiplayer. One position could change the entire quality of a game.

          • ScOott

He was the main talent.. Can u link me something with that info ? Something where the rest of IW have said that ? .. It’s all bull shit man ..

          • RdJokr

Alderman was MP Lead Designer before the whole West-Zampella lawsuit case. Obviously, he’s got a lot of authority and influence on the games IW makes.

Yes, he’s just one man. But one man with the title of Director can do significant changes to the game.

Not to mention, hiring a guy to be Project Director mid-development? That doesn’t sound right, if you ask me.

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

He consulted the entire team and oversaw development of the game. He was the Director. Here’s some information on what they do. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_game_producer

          • ScOott

That’s still not proven to me IW is doomed to fail sorry ..

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

The reason why we have the CoD MP we have now is because of him. Yeah, Infinity Ward is doomed to fail.

          • Aldo

Tbh I fear you may be right as I had high hopes when I heard he was returning so now that he’s left after such a short time doesn’t look good, but…let’s just wait and see.

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

I’m not going to stick around to find out.

      • jordanxbrookes

Oh yes, because only ONE person makes Multiplayer lmao. I see you’re forgetting the other designers, artists, directors, animators etc. that make up the whole of the studio, smh.

    • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

      Infinity Ward still sucks.

    • ccrows

He may be one person, but he was the face of hope for IW 2016. He could have been the sole reason why Old IW fanboys bought the game.

I’m not saying that IW16 is gonna tank, but with the Ghost team working on the next game and Alderman splitting, things don’t like good ATM.

Finally – I’m a fan of “COD”, and I want IW to succeed, but I just hope that IW learns from their past mistakes not to make another hiking simulator with celebrity killstreaks, otherwise I’ll “hike” my way back to BO3…

      • ScOott

I’m with u on that, n if it takes that one man to figure it out n he’s left, and they learn nothing from ghosts then il eat my words and pray for his return.. I still have faith that as a group they can learn from mistakes without him tho.. (I hope)

      • DA JOKA

There is no such thing as old IW fanboys, they just know a good game from a terrible 4 some of them.

    • jordanxbrookes

I’m still having faith with Infinity Ward, despite Alderman getting my hopes up. Let’s just hope his 4 months at IW helped to make a big difference for Multiplayer.

      • CrowReap .

same. I believe in IW more than I will ever believe in shg again.

  • Will WilFredo Mendoza

The fact that employees are coming and going, means that the game is not being well worked on, 2016 CoD is gonna suck ass probably.

    • Drank Bleach

If anything, I’m sure they realized ghost wasn’t well accepted and are making a lot of changes, before bashing how about we wait till the product comes out and see how the game is. I actually want to see what their next title is.

      • CoDforever

I know this is an unpopular opinion but it is guranteed ghosts 2. Not only did the game end on a cliffhanger, but Ghosts was marketed as a “Brand new Universe, Brand new characters, Brand new story etc” So im pretty sure IW had long term plans for the ghosts IP.

        • Drank Bleach

And that’s totally fine with me as long as the game will be fun, that’s all I care about.

          • CoDforever

We can all hope but as with the last two IW titles, dont get your hopes up

          • ScOott

MW3 was fun .. Just lacked a paint brush.. Still a brilliant CoD tho ..

          • CoDforever

It was good to me as well but only because it felt like it was just a carbon copy paste of MW2 but a little worse. I mean it literally was mw2.5 with worse maps and fast ttk. IW played it incredibly safe that year and didnt actually do much.

          • ScOott

Didn’t get to play mw2 online, so I was lucky enough to think Mw3 was great ?

          • QuickzZ-_-GhosT

Lol like MW2 didn t have a fast TTK …

          • CoDforever

It was just perfect in mw2 imo

          • QuickzZ-_-GhosT

Meh it wasn t bad. Still prefer BO’s TTK tho.

          • CoDforever

People eat too much bullets in BO imo

          • Agree, the maps may not have been the best, but it felt a lot more fast-paced than MW2 in my opinion.

          • Tuby

I loved specialist and getting moabs. All perks active was a epic super Soldier feeling though..

        • RdJokr

They could be smart and do what Treyarch did. Make a new series (like Black Ops), but taking place in the same universe as Ghosts (like World at War).

But whatever, I couldn’t care less for IW’s singleplayer part. Ghosts was too meh for me. I couldn’t even be bothered to finish the damn campaign (which has been a tradition for me). Unless those Naughty Dog devs they hired brought in some of their storytelling magic, I don’t see IW’s next game stepping up at all in terms of story quality.

          • Ratboy

But did you finish Bo3 campaign? That was cool

          • Nerve Damage

I always play the campaigns, but Black Ops 3’s is too cluttered to enjoy imo. I’ve seen countless other players complaining about how cluttered (and confusing) the story is… this isn’t Inception, lmao… it’s a CoD game where the stories are usually fairly straight forward, but fun… in this one you end up with more head scratching and questions than you do “answers”… or a feeling of a “proper conclusion” to the Black Ops series. I think I played through the first 3 levels or so and put it down.

          • Fly Mann13

That makes no sense that’s exactly what IW did. They ended MW and started on Ghosts.

          • PandaMan

What he is saying is that technically WaW was the prequel to the Black Ops franchise. Ghosts and the Modern Warfare series are in no way connected

          • Fly Mann13

Its not because WaW was based on true events and if u mean it a different way then the first cod would be a prequel to MW cause they made the first cod

          • PandaMan

The characters in WaW are tied in to the Black Ops franchise, not the plot. The up until MW COD was just a franchise, they had no individual series. MW introduced that, then the WaW/BO series, Ghosts, and then we got the AW series.

          • Fly Mann13

I see what u guys mean now but the characters arent heavily i influenced in the black ops games so its basically a new game. And usually 3 parts within a series is where it should end, elomgating it could add some risk, like they are doing with halo

      • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

I want to sit back and laugh.

      • CAMPING_CAMPER88

COD Ghosts was well received by the camping community.

    • jooker-jr

      It’s ONE EMPLOYEE !

      • RdJokr

You forgot Mark Rubin, the Executive Producer who left at some unknown point after Ghosts. Plus, there could be even more employees that have left since then. We just don’t know, because they don’t have big positions like these guys.

      • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

One employee that had a major impact. He’s the main Multiplayer guy, and he had all of the say into what went into the game.

    • Zielinski left 3arc and look at BO3 zombies, that’s fantastic.

    • ladh

I agree bro I’m fully prepared to keep playing BO3 which I love, lol

      • Argy

Could use more maps, and I would have liked an actual long-range map (which hasn’t really been in the series for a LONG time), but overall its a decent addition.

  • Dangelo95

Either respawn offered some serious money or he did not like what was bwing made

  • CoDforever

Just remaster the Modern Warfare games for 2016 and we’re all happy, Activision

  • He probably tried to make the next COD just like MW2, but they kicked him out due to his lack of abilities. I praise that action. We don’t need another repeat of MW2…

    • Will WilFredo Mendoza

Yet MW2 was a big success. Stfu. Id prefer another MW2 than Ghosts 2.

    • lunator100hd .

MW2 was the best cod in my opinion and thats the case for a lot of ppl.

      • RdJokr

Yeah, until you take off your rose-tinted glasses and remember the incessant noob tubing, the OMA + Commando Pro combo, etc…

        • QuickzZ-_-GhosT

MW2 is overrated so much. It was one of the most broken and unbalanced CoD s ever.

    • Drank Bleach

Oh, I’m sorry I guess call of duty shouldn’t be fun anymore cause I remember during MW2’s cycle, it was a hella fun, it wasn’t competitive, esport focused as it is now.

      • CoDforever

Bo2 was “hella fun” and it was centered around esports. I swear you guys will blame whatever to get your point through

        • Drank Bleach

What are you talking about? Blame who? You must have not played MW2 in its hay day then if you think bo2 was fun.

          • I played MW2 when it was new and I’ll go ahead tell you I had a lot more fun on BO2 than I ever did in MW2

          • CoDforever

Dude bo2 is easily one of the best cods. Fun guns, Good killstreaks, great maps .. what else do we need? It was really fun

  • Dangelo95

My suggestion to Activision and Infinity Ward is don’t launch the game in 2016, launch it in 2017 to make the best possible game another year can do a lot and we don’t want the game to be how ghosts was. In the mean time have a DLC year two for BO3 or have a Cod 4 remake to hold us over but that’s if Activision isn’t greedy

    • jooker-jr

      “That’s if Activision isn’t greedy”

      My hopes are gone.

      • Dangelo95

I wish this would happen but knowing how Activision is this will not happen unfortunately one can dream though

  • Mick

I know this is bad news, but let’s just wait until we get some sort of reveal for IW’s next game. Make and save your judgements for when the reveal for IW’s game is released. I myself don’t expect the game to be great even after ghosts atrocity, but we’ll wait and see as the time comes.

  • FazalGaming

The logic of this comment section, some dude leaves his job = next CoD is going to be shit .. Lol ..

Before anyone tells me how great he is, I don’t care he’s still just some dude ..

One dude, out of many many dudes that work at IW .. Chill out people ..

    • CoDforever

@disqus_C2tLIIb3kr:disqus scoot what does this look like

    • Mick

Lol, why would you copy and paste Scootts post?

    • ScOott

Was funny the furst time dude, but if ur going to troll me, at least come up with something new ..

      • FazalGaming

๐Ÿ™ u called me not funny

  • Horacio Sanchez

David Vonderhaar be lmfao on this shit

    • CoDforever

Activision probably wishes they could clone Vonderhaar a couple of times lmao, he is the only cod dev with some fucking common sense

      • Mick

Plus, Vahn is a wise man. Unlike Mark Rubin who literally looks like a fucking goon and doesn’t have the common sense like Vahn…

  • Guywithbrains

Inb4 Infinity Ward’s next title is already bad.

Seriously this is sad but I still believe in Infinity Ward because I liked MW1, MW2, MW3 and Ghosts so they seem to have some talent.

I bet many Infinity Ward dislikers are going to buy Ghosts 2 simply because it most likely has classic movement.

    • CoDforever

Yeah because everyone HATED bo2 only cause it had classic movement right? Face it ghosts was just trash

EDIT: Holy shit im pretty sure you are also LoveKillerX .. 1 minute after you comment and you already get upvoted by lovekiller? 1 minute is also the time it takes to sign out and sign back in hmmmmmmm….

      • Guywithbrains

Well I respect your opinion but Ghosts had the lowest amount of problems. Only flaws were decent map design, IEDs and too fast time to kill.

        • CoDforever

Maps were super trash, Streaks sucked, Game modes sucked, TTK was too fast, very limited combat record, game was just very boring overall tbh

          • MichiganerE

The game was also designed to be camper friendly, don’t forget that.

        • ScOott

U only have them upvotes thanks to each other lol .. That’s nothing to brag about when u have a second account .. Or a fuck buddy .. Which ever one it is ..

          • Tuby

Haha indeed he is a twisted fucker

        • LovekillerX

I enjoy when he clearly is butthurt over simple upvotes. It pretty much tells about his “important” values in life. I gave him an upvote to make him feel a better person. :’D

          • ScOott

U really don’t bother me .. Lol .. I’m glad ur hear, I’ve had some good laughs at the expense of u two .. Keep up the good work .. P.s take my upvote :-p

      • LovekillerX

Just because I know him doesn’t make me a same person but you can believe your conspiracy theories people on this site are actually pretty good when it comes to believing conspiracy theories…

        • CoDforever

Your first appearance on this article is right after he commented .. yeah right .. Im not saying thats bad or anything you could do whatever the hell you wanted to i dont care, just dont get butthurt

          • LovekillerX

Yeah because he couldn’t send me a message to check up ridiculous comments here? Yeah right… keep up the good work you could be a good detective. /s

          • CoDforever

What the fuck? He usually sends you a message to just to check out comments? Oh my sweet baby jheezus

          • LovekillerX

Yeah I just sent him a message lets see if he makes an appearance.

          • Guywithbrains

            Here I am.

          • LovekillerX

So you got my message? Good. Check up these comments.

          • CoDforever

            Send me messages too fam

          • ScOott

Yo send me a message next time I’m running late to the article bro, it’s not sad or anything it’s really kewwwl..

          • w

yeah im not buying it. A mod or admin should check out the IPs.

    • LovekillerX

Noooo why this had to happen! People from Naughty Dog and old IW employee… it sounded too good.

  • Mr_ysi42t96

    I don’t care atm, I’m enjoying bo3 ๐Ÿ˜›

  • lunator100hd .

The heart of cod is Infinity Ward, this is the studio that made cod4 and mw2, the best multiplayer stooters of all time and even mw3 and ghosts(despite being a step back) are better than 3arc’s cods just because they function better than every lag ops until now. IW has the perfect formula in its hands, they can make the next masterpiece after so many years of failure if they decide to work like profesionals and learn from their mistakes. And pls if you are a broken ops fun dont reply my comment.

    • LovekillerX

IW titles actually WORK when they launch hands down. I had only one host migration in Ghosts.

      • lunator100hd .

Go play ghosts right now, you will get better connection and smoother games than bo3.

        • LovekillerX

The connection was always good in Ghosts it was so smooth launch at least for me. I wonder why Treyarch is being so silent about widely occurring connection issues.

          • lunator100hd .

They know that the net code used in their games is garbage so at the end of the day they cant do really much other than some buff/nerf patces here and there so why to give publisity to something that will never be fixed. Dont forget that sadly enough most of their funs dont even admit that black ops games are broken.

          • Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox

Just because you due instantly in Ghosts doesn’t mean there are no connection issues. Infinity Ward knew they had to make the game have a fast TTK otherwise the game would be outright unplayable. Fast TTK fools people into thinking there is no lag.

I understand why Treyarch is not saying anything, it’s really not worth explaining to people who have no understanding of something so complex.

        • ccrows

Treyarch can use a melty TTK too if they want, but they choose not to.

^ It’s not because they are incompetent, it’s just that they know the community prefers a slower TTK than what Ghosts tried using.

BO2 may not be your fav COD, but it’s still one of the most active CODs in the series.

Ghosts on the other hand needed Mike Myers, Pred, Snoop Dogg, and other gimmicks to help make it to the finish line.

Here’s another example of why a melty TTK fails – Look at the avg COD “Core vs HC population numbers”, which one is higher?… (inb4 someone says HC has less health, you know where I’m going with this)

          • LovekillerX

TTK shouldn’t be too fast but also not too slow. I don’t want to spend one mag to one enemy I want to see triple and quad feeds.

          • ccrows

I’ve already gotten my share of triples & quads in BO3, and I’m only a level 50.

Slower TTKs encourage movement, faster TTKs encourage camping.

^ If I’m in the mood for the latter, I’ll simply jump into a HC lobby…

          • LovekillerX

I also had many triple feeds already in Black Ops 3 with specialists (Purifier FTW!) and with assault rifles and submachine guns… this only happens when the lag is minimal (TDM is pretty smooth now).

          • lunator100hd .

Well at least you tried to back up your opinion even its wrong. The problem with tryarch’s cod isnt that the time to kill is too slow or too fast, the problem is that TTK is all over the place, some times is fast some times is slow. The netcode in these games alongside with connection problems comletely randomize TTK. This is why i call bo2/bo3 broken. And the low numbers in HC have nothing to do with that. In HC there is no minimap no life regeneration no grenade indicator etc, only campers play HC , of course ppl dosent want to play this shit.

          • ccrows

*sigh* Yes I know all about HC, since some of my friends play HC, I just didn’t want my previous post to look like a book. lol

I respectfully disagree with you about that the TTK was all over the place for BO2. Sure it was rough out of the gate, but IMO it got better over time. (especially when Trey rented deds)

BO3 is a little rough around the edges too, and honestly I was expecting that with new gen.

Let’s see that updates they make to this game too, and judge it a few months in, because I mainly see matchmaking issues being the culprit – AKA people with different internet speeds and connections. That IMO needs to be tightened up a bit…

          • Guywithbrains

Talking of updates does anyone know what was that game settings update today?

I played two team deatmatches and it seemed smoother than previously. Or then it was my imagination…

          • lunator100hd .

BO2 for me was e very unpleasant experience, too much wtf moment, snipers , lag etc . Tbh bo3 is slightly improved but many things have be done right before i call it ”decent” like hit detection or spwns, as of right now is a bad game imo.

      • RdJokr

That’s arguable. The PC version was a disaster. Which shouldn’t come as a surprise, tbh. IW has been shafting PC gamers since MW2.

        • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

Rubin stated that they were trying to make a good PC version. No clue what happened. Do PC users even deserve a good version after all the pirating that they do?

          • RdJokr

Dude. Don’t insult us with the piracy talk. Console users pirate all the time as well.

And who really knows what Rubin was on about. All he said was that “PC version is gonna look best”. Yeah, if you have a beefy PC that’s way more expensive than the PS4, only to achieve a slightly better image quality than the PS4 version.

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

I’m going to insult the ones who act like assholes. I don’t appreciate being told what to do from people who have no authority over me, especially from somebody who’s defending people who is killing the industry for developers, although I do understand your position. I will admit that console users CAN pirate, but PC users are the ones that do it the most. FAR more. The difference there is huge, because of the fact that PC’s have all the files. They have all of the tools at their disposal, and it’s easiest and more convenient to pirate on there. Consoles have to go through a bunch of bells and whistles. SO much money has been lost because of your community, so yeah, I’m going to negatively speak about the ones that do it, because they deserve it. It doesn’t mean that I am doing that in a general sense, although many elitists would deserve it.

I remember him saying a lot more than just simply it looking better. I’m just going by a TBNRFrags video, though.

          • RdJokr

Let’s just can the PC piracy discussion before it gets out of hand.

And Rubin spoke a lot of BS about the game too, like “hidden easter eggs” in each campaign level that could change how you play the game. Right, like that ever happened. It’s like, dude doesn’t even know his own game. And he’s executive producer, for crying out loud!

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

There a couple of things to answer your assessment; A. He was definitely stretching the truth to hype the game. or B. Nobody has found the ‘Easter Eggs’ in the game, yet.

      • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

But are their current titles fun? Not to me.

      • Mr_ysi42t96

Until now I have 0 migration in bo3

        • LovekillerX

I had few and it throws me off from matches. I’m waiting for fix for these occurring problems and after that Black Ops 3 is a gem.

    • Slothigans

I mean after all they did revolutionize the series with their new fish ai.

      • jooker-jr

        FISH AI was impressive.

        • QuickzZ-_-GhosT

          Indeed it was.

    • One Russian’s Revenge

“Although sometimes you are right, you complain abit sometimes, worthy opinion though my friend.”

    • Rob Schneider

Ghosts was a solid game, it was just a bit boring, dull and unimaginative, extinction is massively underrated too. But tbh the only things that make Ghosts enjoyable nowadays are Gun Game and the Strikezone 24/7 playlist,

    • QuickzZ-_-GhosT

It used to be. Now Treyarch is the mayor of the CoD city and IW is just a fat old xeriff.

      • SH is the scummy rich company that controls all the buisnesses on cod town.

        • QuickzZ-_-GhosT

Have you ever seen the Dukes Of Hazzard ? SHG is Rosco.

    • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

This is NOT the same team that made those games. Don’t be fooled.

    • ccrows

You do realize that OLD IW =/= Current IW right?

BTW MW3 was also assisted by SH.

Current IW laid an egg with Ghosts, just like Treyarch did with COD3 years ago.

Treyarch eventually became top dog, and now we wait for IW, but the fact that Alderman split is not good…

    • Greasy Neckbeard

      go home you’re drunk

  • Ryumoau

I really hope this isn’t a sign of bad things, like maybe he got frustrated with the the studio’s direction for the new game and decided to leave.

Best case scenerio is that IW only needed him that long to help design maps and that it was never meant to be a permanant position.

    • LovekillerX

Whatever is going on I hope IW delivers next year. They need to make smaller and more memorable maps like they did in Modern Warfare.

      • Johtoboy

Unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed some of Ghosts larger maps. People use different guns, it adds variety to the gameplay. I hope to see two Ghost-sized maps.

        • CoDforever

          Ghosts spawns were awful

          • Johtoboy

I’m trying to remember what Ghosts spawns were like. AW significantly lowered my standards for “good spawns”.

On a large map, you’d think it would be easier to implement good spawns. Not like Combine on BO3. Ugh.

      • Ryumoau

I hope they don’t make the same mistakes they made with Ghosts and MW3 of not paying attention to the advancements that Treyarch bring to the franchise.

Even if next years game is set in WW2, i still want to see more open areas and co-op for the campaign. I don’t want another linear solo corridor shooter that we’ve usually been getting.

  • Stefan Lang

I don’t think the IW Games are ever gonna be what they used to be. Id rather see a remaster collection next year than a new Ghosts installment. I didnt even manage to finish the campaign being so bored with the game. Even online Multiplayer became boring at times. I also became very bored with AW and with the mix of my skill and going against players like me, I wasn’t putting up the numbers I would have loved to. It was just pretty much a rage fest 9 games out of 10. Black Ops 3 has been very good and as annoying as some of the specialists are they are a lot of fun to use. The movement is also nice that only serves to move around the map quicker. I believe Black Ops 3 is really that CoD we needed on next gen. I wouldnt mind playing it through the next two games. Im most likely gonna get the next two but Im hoping they give us a beta so that we can determine getting the full games on launch day.

  • FazalGaming

๐Ÿ™ scooott called me not funny, so i will be jumping of a bridge if anyone needs me

    • FazalGaming

      Tell Keshav I love him

      • One Russian’s Revenge

        -holds on to-
        “Don’t go~”

    • ScOott

Lol I still love u, don’t jump .. Just troll someone else ?..

      • FazalGaming

KK I will troll drank bleach cos he is a fagit

    • Drank Bleach

You’re actually pretty annoying, always commenting or mentioning ScOott in almost every article.

      • FazalGaming

Cos if you love someone why not <3

        • Drank Bleach

Ooook then, fagit. There you go again upvoting your own comments (sigh). If you and scooot have something for each other, that’s none of my business. *sips*

  • Gemxni

Infinity can easily win the fans back by making either a remake of their best games (MW and MW2) or just make a WW2/WW1 or even a MW4. Back to classic COD is the only way for them to be liked again imo.

    • Stefan Lang

I’d like to see some remasters or MW4. Ghosts was just shit I dont think they want to take that route again.

      • Gemxni

Ghosts was a good game just had bad features and game modes. If they had a proper ranked mode, few more game modes and slight better gun variety it would have been a great game

    • Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox

Fuck lazy ass remakes we want original new good games. It’s 2015 and we are on new generation consoles and people still want remakes. Smh…

Classic COD is dead, why do you think Ghosts failed so epicly.

      • Gemxni

Ghosts failed because it lacked good game modes and features to add replayability. And most people would rather them remake the best CODs than try something new

  • DeadZombieGaming 12

He was like ”wtf is this shit, Ghosts 2? Not helping”

  • DeadZombieGaming 12

Story might be great, since it has some Naughty Dog employees…

    • jooker-jr

      But they are only 2.

      • SoulTaker

Do you really think hiring just 2 guys will make a game magically different?

  • RdJokr

It’s not even 2 weeks since BO3 and we’re getting IW news already, LOL.

Anyway, called it way back. Now to see just how bad things are gonna get for IW’s next game. It’s gotta be a real shit storm to lose the Project Director 4 months after rehiring the guy. I mean, seriously, the management there must be terrible!

  • waylay3r

Firstly, hello its my first time posting here. About the topic maybe they do a remake and needed a bit help from a original game developer and thats why he worked so little with them

    • ScOott

      Welcome to C.I.. ?

  • J4MES

I fear for the future of COD with IW and Sledgehammer but with Black Ops 3 going strong; I honestly couldn’t give a shit. If Activision weren’t so whored financially; these development teams wouldn’t be involved in the brand anymore particularly after Ghosts and Advanced Warfare.

  • LovekillerX

Offtopic: I wonder how much people play because some people got already all diamond camouflages + dark matter camouflage. Any ideas?

  • Why does everyone think the next Call of Duty title is going to be a disappointment?

Maybe IW hired him to help them steer the franchise in the right direction. After all, he has a lot of experience.

  • Scott

What if it was a temporary job ?

  • Digital_Veil_

I didn’t even know about Mark Rubin leaving. I wonder if anyone is left from the original IW team? It’s a totally different studio now, really a shame considering how good MW1 and MW2 were (not including MW2 post-launch)

I actually have a feeling IW’s next game will be good. Considering their last 2 flops, they’re probably motivated to re-invent their public image and redeem themselves. Plus, I would imagine Activision is holding the axe over their heads telling them to get it right this time or they’ll find a new developer. And they get a 3 year cycle this time.

There’s no way in hell it will be Ghosts 2. Personally I’d like to see MW4.

    • FazalGaming

Activision would never drop IW, SHG maybe but not IW. IW and Treyarch made COD what it is today so they are too valuable to COD.

      • SoulTaker

        * OLD ORIGINAL IW and Treyarch made COD what it is today so they are too valuable to COD.

  • Skillreks

the biggest part of IW next game is the whole no super jumping or exo-suits or hover packs of any sort.
and don’t say “hey it could happen!” because, no it won’t. their next cod will be ghosts 2. and they aren’t going to make dramatic changes to that.

    • Digital_Veil_

I find no problem at all with BO3’s thruster system.

    • Guywithbrains

And for now I think everyone wants to have current gen Call of Duty game with classic movement. Also I am pretty sure they learned their lesson.

Although I never disliked any of Infinity Ward’s games so I guess Ghosts 2 can only get better.

    • ccrows

      or a MW remastered collection.

Keep in mind that Activision likes $, and IMHO a MW collection would mean a lot more $$$$$$$ than Ghosts 2…

      • LovekillerX

That wouldn’t be bad. Imagine MW2 without hackers and my favorite MW3… this just makes me want it more and more.

  • Rorke File

He helped with a remake I geus.

    • ccrows

We can only hope that he helped with a MW remastered collection!… ๐Ÿ™‚

  • LEL

he haited infinitey ward so much he went back to respoon lol. they wil get mark roobun back n make goests 2 i yhink

  • I’m going to keep saying this, if it’s Ghosts 2, I’m skipping 2016.

    • Slothigans

      Ok.

      • If you’re gonna do it, then do it right.

        k

        • Slothigans

          • babysteps. It’s cute when they learn <3

          • Slothigans

          • Awe what happened? Come on you small mind, i know its hard but you can do it <3

          • Slothigans

            Lol, k, ok.

          • You’re so cute <3

          • Slothigans

            Ok.

          • And your small little mind is still having trouble learning :/

          • Slothigans

            K, ok.

          • So close, yet so far

    • Johtoboy

Worse than AW? Fuck no dude

      • Uh yea it was. advanced warfare was so much better than that crap. Even though It’s not saying much because that game sucked too.

  • J4MES

The only thing IW can do is start afresh. Ghosts is a damaged brand so having Ghosts 2 would put off everyone right off the bat and it would struggle regardless if it was a good game. Going back to Modern Warfare would be exciting for some but others may see it as desperation from a dud studio. Their only real option is to create a new IP and after Ghosts; I don’t think many will trust them to do that either. The studio is in a tough situation regardless of what they do but this is their last chance. As long as they don’t bring back Robert Bowling; it might not be all bad. It’s amazing how much of a key asset West and Zampella along with their team truly was back then.

    • jordanxbrookes

I like Mr. FourZeroTwo. In fact I miss him :/

      • J4MES

I can’t stand him but I have to admit; he was royally stitched up so much in MW3 and received the flak for it whilst Rubin and co walked away free. I think he was probably just sick of the studio at the time and it’s no wonder he left. They could have done with him for Ghosts though as he would’ve probably slated the game in the reveal presentation and given a middle finger to the whole of IW in the process!

      • QuickzZ-_-GhosT

Bowling was the only guys who had some balls in IW. But tbh I didn t like him that much.

      • SoulTaker

How can you miss someone who flat out lied to his fans about last stand??? Must be nostalgia otherwise I’d see a doctor.

  • GTA V

Can’t wait Black Ops 3 is old now. On to the next one. Can’t wait to buy the most expensive broken version.

    #Titanfall2Hype

  • To be fair, a lot of people to did leave Respawn during development then come back; it’s development was a disaster:

  • imBATMAN

Call of Duty: Ghosts Busters III

  • UnguardedUncle2

Call of Duty Ghosts 2 that’s what the sequel game is.

    • YoungMurf

I thought it was Girls of the Playboy Mansion: Uncut Edition :O

  • Truth hurts

Not here to take the piss or anything but look if the first titanfall had a story it would have been 10/10 it got 8/10 for multiplayer alone. COD gets between 7 to 8/10 for the full game it’s such a bad game. Some cods get 9/10 10/10 the old ones respawn made them mw1 mw2. titanfall will be the better game you all sit here saying cod is the best but we all k in another year or so titanfall 2 will be the best and you will all be playing it XD and even blops 3 has taken elements of titanfall treyarch have always copied the old infinity ward aka respawn wall running, earning something for example a Titan build up clock just like a specialist Lmaoo. The game is okay I’m not going to lie it’s fun but only because of the titanfall stuff that’s in the game. COD will die the people who made the series good have abandoned it. If you started playing at mw3 you won’t understand but they really got worse.

    • You know, commas and capitalization would help with your wall of text

      • also lmaaooo XD

        • Truth hurts

lmaoooo forgot them XD but you have to admit it’s true

  • NOVA_POLARIS

Why do I feel like this is foreshadowing how bad the next COD is going to be…

  • Jay Evan

What is it that Infinity ward can do with Ghosts 2 and make the game as good as Black Ops 3/a new and satisfying COD experience?

    • madshooterguy

learn from their mistakes in ghosts

  • WesupDude

Hey? How about we all DON’T pre-order the next cod from infinity ward this time? K thx

  • Brad of Duty

    He was our last hope

  • TheHorror

Man, i have my serious doubts about the next IW game. Their last two games were fucking trash, which is depressing since MW1 and 2 were some of the best COD games ever. I hope they surprise me, but it may end up being a couple of years of Black Ops 3.

    • I actually really enjoyed MW3. Ghosts… not so much.

      • CoDforever

MW3 was good but its still one of the lower rated cods imo, barely above ghosts and maybe AW

      • TheHorror

It’s an unpopular opinion, but i thought MW3 was worse than Ghosts, but barely. I could go into a huge rant about why i hated MW3 but i’ll spare you the details lol

  • I just replayed Modern Wafare 2, and noticed in the End Credits that Alderman also worked on the story for MW2.
