This is definitely better than the Bribe

    • Psychomaggot105

Bribe was a complete waste of time and money

      • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

They doubled the Cryptokeys, and that’s what was so pathetic about it; it was overpriced.

  • RIPCOD

Supply Drops is just one of many reasons why nobody plays Call of Duty anymore. Failarch lied about them prior to launch and people are still stupid enough to ply a dying franchise with their parents hard earned money. Pathetic really. Ghosts, AW and BO3 can rot.

    • jordanxbrookes

MicroDLC in general is just one of many reasons people don’t play CoD anymore.

      • HenryDF

        Lmao what?

      • Gamerazor247

Why do they even call it micro dlc when we’re able to pay WAAAYYY over the price of both the DLC and Base game, like what? Lol

        • Ak74u

They might as well call it roll the dice and get lucky or get fucked in the ass

        • HenryDF

Because of the content of the Micro DLC. It’s small stuff, nothing like maps.

Your comment makes like no sense, it’s got nothing to do with how much you’re able to spend should you choose to buy a ton of Micro DLC.

          • Gamerazor247

Lol, maybe if I had typed microtransactions/micro dlc, that’d help. Whatever

      • Kyle Soule

If they would go back to when it was simple then a lot more people would play it. They just try too hard now.

    • Slothigans

      K.

    • Chocobooo!

And you are still here reading all the latest news about COD. And might still be playing the game until now.

    • Will WilFredo Mendoza

It wasnt 3ARCS fault jackass, its Activision.

    • Keshav Bhat

      “nobody plays Call of Duty”

Call of Duty had its highest active player count in November – January then ever in the history

      ¯_(ツ)_/¯

      • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

How the hell are we supposed to know if they don’t even show us said player count?

        • CoDforever

3arc did not want to show it because SHG didnt, if 3arc showed it then it would’ve kinda admitted that SHG hid it because low player counts

thats why unlike AW, bo3 actually had a player counter feature designed but it was removed last minute

          • w

thanks for the fun fact, but still didn’t answer his question

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

If that is a factual statement backed up by evidence, then that is just pathetic. A useful feature that was used for years, with even a globe showing all of the countries, is gone, because of Sledgehammer? They’re done, as far as I’m concerned.

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

And CoD still can’t even get its TTK right. BO3’s is Ghosts fast, and apologists want to deny it, but I think it’s true, because they don’t give me a good reason as to why I’m “wrong”. That’s the one thing holding back BO3 for me.

      • Ghost

LMAO they don’t show player numbers in BO3 and “Call of Duty” is different than “Black Ops 3”.

        • CoDforever

3arc did not want to show it because SHG didnt, if 3arc showed it then it would’ve kinda admitted that SHG hid it because low player counts

Man this getting out of hand, even with the shitty AW there was weapons with the DLC’s. Activi$ion as always.. greedy and couldn’t give one feck about their community.

  • Ak74u

FOR FUCKS SAKE PLEASE SELL THE DLC WEAPONS SEPARATE FROM SUPPLY DROPS. SELL THE DLC WEAPONS AS WEAPON PACKS AS ADDITIONAL ADD-ON CONTENT. I AM PRESTIGE MASTER LVL200 AND STILL DONT HAVE A SINGLE, NOT EVEN ONE DLC WEAPON. I PAID $60 FOR THE GAME $50 FOR THE SEASON PASS THATS $110 SO I DESERVE NEW CONTENT.

    1) FUCK SUPPLY DROPS

    2) FUCK AW FOR INTRODUCING SUPPLY DROPS

    3)FUCK ACTIVISION

4)TREYARCH I TRUSTED YOU WITH SUPPLY DROPS WHY?????? I KNOW ACTIVISION IS FORCING YOU TO DO IT

    • Will WilFredo Mendoza

I whole heartedly agree with you. I love Treyarch, but Activision is fucking the game developers up, let alone the game.

      • FazalGaming

Don’t jump to conclusions, Treyarch could be partly responsible, who knows, maybe Vonderhaar wants to make some extra money so he can buy some new head wax.

    • Batman

Everyone in Treyarch should quit and start a new group without Activision. Then we’d see a great game

      • Kyle Soule

We would see less money and see more game if that happened.

      • iTYPE2ANNOY

people who made the great MW2 left Infinity Ward for similar reasons, they ended up pooping out the dreadful Titanfall, so I wouldn’t be so sure of yourself.

    • Umade me sad

WOW wtf i paid only 60euros game and seasonpass why u buy games from steam or real stores?

    • i’m done

OMG if this is the reply to them making cod points like half priced i don’t wanna see the reply’s to when they add new dlc weapons into the game next week. You don’t need a little virtual gun in a video game so clam your tits and stop caring so much who gives a shit about it man stop just complaining and use CI comments to talk about the real problems that we have a real chance of fixing. fuck man i’m sick of CI all i see is people jerking off to other people complaining about supply drops.

No but really this sucks but hey we have zombies I was going to make a gay joke butt fuck it

  • Ak74u

Supply drops are going to be the reason cod will die out

    • Donald Trump

AW ruined the franchise for us veteran cod players by 1.Introducing new movement 2.Introducing supply drops 3.Made cod soldiers look like theyre going to a 12 year old kids birthday party 4. Putting New weapons in supply drops 5.Started the trend of the far future setting in COD

      • Kobrah

as much as we all want to believe that, supply drops are actually the reason this franchise still makes so much more money

  • Softsoap

They thought the division would kill cod no activision did

They thought Battlefield would kill COD – nope.. They thought Titanfall would kill COD – nope.. They thought Destiny would kill COD – nope.. They thought Halo 5 would kill COD – nope.. They thought The Division would kill COD – nope..

      • Truthteller

COD has killed itself. 15m down in unit sales each year now with only kids and ‘pros’ left.

          • FazalGaming

            Neither, he’s a fgt.

        • CoDforever

no franchise has ever managed to maintain its peak sales except GTA and thats because new GTA games arent just new GTA games, they are a new benchmark in gaming’s capabilities

          • FazalGaming

Yeah but Rockstar Games love money too. They release free updates which is a good thing, but it’s things like yachts which cost 8 million in game money, the only way to get money like that and buy new things everytime they make a new patch is either hack the money, grind out the game every minute of your day, or as Rockstar want you to do, purchase in game money.

      • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

Halo 5 never had a chance to “beat” anything.

      • Kyle Soule

Exactly. When call of duty dies it won’t be from murder, it will be from suicide.

    • WhiskeyDick

Got it 2 days ago… Bit overhyped IMO! But fun to play with a new weapon… Shoulda been included with the first dlc

      • Ak74u

Yeah it should have been included but they decided to put it in supply drops. Cod bo2 on their first dlc they included a bonus weapon “peacekeeper” smg and this time they didn’t include a bonus weapon. Thats a step backwards

    • TheDemonOfHate

I’ve seen like a lvl 21 already have it. lol

      • CoDforever

        he could have reset

        • TheDemonOfHate

          he/she didn’t

  • RdJokr

Ugh, once again Treyarch is taking the blame for Activision’s greed. Just when I thought they couldn’t get any worse…

Seriously, the least they could do is give us an option to buy these with Cryptokeys. At least that’d be the same as 2x Cryptokey weekend. But nope, CP only because fuck everyone who doesn’t want to pay extra.

I’ll just go play some Zombies and pretend this isn’t even real…

    • jordanxbrookes

We know it’s not Treyarch’s fault and anyone blaming them needs to know it’s Activision’s schemes.

      • RdJokr

Which is why it doesn’t hurt to remind people every once in a while that Activision is the true mastermind here.

        • They are just repeating their old speech whey made when AW was alive at the time. The problem with that is SHG didn’t have as many defenders as Treyarch does

        • Kyle Soule

It pisses me off that activision are the ones fucking up the game yet it is Treyarch getting blamed for everything even though they aren’t even the ones making the poor decisions.

      • ToonToons22

So long as Treyarch is a subsidiary of Activision, they are just as guilty.

      • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

Other things are Treyarch’s fault, like the stupid e-Sports integration (cough Vonderhaar).

        • CoDforever

esports have had no impact towards public matches whatsoever, all they did was add in a couple of settings in private maches

bo3 would look no different gameplay wise if esports did not exist

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

That is factually untrue, and Black Ops 2 is highly evident of this. Map layouts and balance as a whole are influences by e-Sports, hell; e-Sports and its pathetic community even influenced patches. For example, you know why Treyarch games now have so many unskillful headglitches? You can thank e-Sports for that, and I’m not just talking about them in-general because CoD has had them in a long time; I’m implying that there are so many more of them because of it. So… Yeah, e-Sports is inexcusable and in regards to subjectivity, I don’t think it should even exist. That goes for any game, I couldn’t care less.

          • CoDforever

3 lane maps have always existed in cod way before esports was even acknowledged and so have headglitches.

Also the 3 lane map design in Bo2 was adored by both the casual AND competitive community, doesnt mean the bad maps in bo3 are solely to blame on esports

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

That doesn’t help the case. Even the reveal trailer for Black Ops 2 had hastr0 in it to display how much of an influence that it had. Call of Duty during the pre-Black Ops 2 era never implemented so many headglitches on their maps, and it’s not just about the 3-lanes, although that does have something to do with it. The point is, is that it is a fact that e-Sports heavily influenced both Black Ops 2 and 3 in some way. Treyarch doesn’t care about “casuals”, they build the maps with e-Sports and/or competitiveness in mind. I wouldn’t have as much of an issue with it if headglitches were removed, that’s my main concern. Point is, is that I think e-Sports doesn’t belong in Call of Duty, in my opinion, and I find it silly when players defend them. What’s the point? Surely you know how much of a disease that community is.

          • CoDforever

“Call of Duty during the pre-Black Ops 2 era never implemented so many headglitches on their maps,”

You seriously need to go play MW3 again.

” Surely you know how much of a disease that community is.”

Every community in cod is a disease.

      • CoDforever

It is treyarchs fault. You seriously think they dont like getting big fat paychecks by putting in microtransactions in the game? Theres just no fucking way 3arc doesnt bank on this somehow, they were the ones who introduced microtransactions to this franchise

        • RdJokr

Considering the fact that the original IW team made a fuss about how they didn’t get their royalties paid after making MW2, I’d say with confidence that Activision is the evil mastermind here, and Treyarch is just a victim.

          • CoDforever

your seriously going to make them out as a “victim” when you really have no idea about their real role in all of this? Your actually going to sympathize with 3arc when for all we know they could have been making money of supply drops shares? Dont feel bad for Vonderhaar when he’s probably more than happy getting million dollar paychecks from supply drop sales

          • RdJokr

“million dollar paychecks” Wow, dude. This just shows you have zero idea of how much game devs earn.

          • CoDforever

You mean like Vince Zampella and Jason West, who were supposed to make 40 million off one game

          • RdJokr
    • WhiskeyDick

Uhh… People who think Treyarch play no role in the matter and are innocent make me laugh! Treyarch doesn’t give a fuck about the “community”… They’re a business! I wouldn’t be surprised if these ideas are conjured by Treyarch and sent to Activision for approval… Either way, putting Treyarch on a pedestal is rather comical

      • Will WilFredo Mendoza

Yet SHG were the ones the create supply drops. Jackass. So theyre the company that did this shit, and now it carried over thanks to greedy Activi$ion.

        • And Treyarch took the Supply Drops from AW to Black Ops 3 even though they said at the games reveal that the game will not have Supply Drops. We can blame all the people we want but It won’t change shit.

          • Ed

The supply drops were supposed to be “cosmetic” only items at launch. The loophole is is that they never said anything about post-released supply drop content, so they added in the weapons.

Treyarch maybe a business, but it listens to the community more than any other CoD developer, and because of AW’s supply drop weapon bullshit, Activision obviously wants to replicate the same thing for more money.

Personally, I think treyarch are trying to secretly compensate us, while at the same time not piss off their overlords. Just my two cents though

          • Well I never knew a person who could ride Treyachs dick so good. Good you like the things you get out of this.

          • 10/10 argument. The ed guy comes up with a good reply and a pretty good argument and you just reply “hurrrr derrrrrr u riding tteyarchsss dikk xDddddddd”

          • Ed

It’s people like this that are turning the community into a cesspool.

          • Ed

I never said I agreed with what they are doing, far from it actually.

And maybe you should come up with a better comeback than some bullshit insult that a down’s syndrome fifth grader could come up with.

I’m also not the one that did those retarded supply drop opening videos on youtube that in total have 66 views.

        • WhiskeyDick

Lol I merely commented not to be so eager to slobber on Treyarch’s dick…

    • Batman

Zombies has P2W gumballs as well, I never got a single perkaholic

      • Lol Zombies has p2w gumballs? Lolno. Just no. Perkaholic does not automatically mean you survive forever.

        • RdJokr

Yeah, I don’t see why people keep thinking 100x Perkaholics = infinite rounds or something.

    • iTYPE2ANNOY

      amen brother…

  • Ak74u

It’s all tmartns fault he asked them to bring back cod points!!!!

    • RdJokr

I think when we said we wanted COD Points back, we were talking about the BO1 CPs, not this.

      • Ak74u

I blame it on him he still requested it and he said it in his video that him and a couple of other YouTubers requested cod points to come back for bo3

        • RdJokr

Because nobody thought they’d be turning it into something we have to buy. We all underestimated Activision’s greed.

          • Ak74u

I don’t care this is what happens when YouTubers try to control a cod game they ask for shit and it turns out wrong let the developers do their thing just like all the people bitching about the vesper and VMP those people need to stfu and let the developers make their game how it was intended

          • RdJokr

YouTubers have less of an influence than you think, dude. They don’t dictate everything about the game.

          • Batman

Both YT & E sports players asked for “buyable” supply drops back at AW, they asked for it and while SHG was skeptical about it, they gave it a shot, and it made more money than they expected, SHG didnt want to charge you for SP originally, believe me, I didnt hear it, I saw it with my own eyes

          • Ed

Except they buy the hell out of these things to make videos. Then people watch those vids, youtubers make their money, then buy more and make more vids and people watch those. Stop watching, youtubers then stop buying, and hopefully it doesnt become profitable for aholevision.
We need to not watch youtubers vids of supply drop openings. And stop buying cod points. Otherwise, it will continue as long as its profitable for them!

          • RdJokr

Again, no, YouTubers aren’t the main source of income for Activision’s microtransactions. You may not believe it, but casual gamers make up for a lot of the MT market here. YouTubers just have more cash to spend on, but a large number of players have disposable income, which they spend on things like this. Even without YouTubers doing “supply drop opening” videos, it still wouldn’t make a dent on the supply drop revenue.

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

You underestimate how many YouTubers are doing it. They’re spending in the hundreds. $300+ worth, and they do it more than once.

          • RdJokr

Even so, it’s still not enough. Let’s break down some numbers here: Activision’s revenues around September last year saw an increase of 1.04 billion dollars, from all of its franchises, during a three-month period. So let’s assume that COD was responsible for at least half of that number. That’s about 500 million. This includes game sales, DLC sales, and microtransaction sales.

Now, for YouTubers, let’s say that they spend an average of $500 per month on supply drops. That’s about $1500 for each quarterly period per one popular YouTuber, assuming all their incomes are similar to one another, and that they can maintain their spending. Now, how many YouTubers do you think there are to actually spend enough to even account for 1% of Activision’s revenues in 3 months, let alone a year? I don’t have the exact numbers, but I am certain that we don’t have enough to make such an impact.

The problem still lies within the casual players. Casual players didn’t need YouTubers to promote microtransactions on Candy Crush or any other mobile games out there to entice them to spend, and they don’t need YouTubers now with AAA titles.

          • Ed

            lol. no. just no.

          • RdJokr

If you’re gonna argue after “doing your research”, then hit me with some hard facts. Give me statistics and numbers. Don’t “no, just no” me.

          • Ed

you arent really worth the time after reading what you just wrote. sorry.

          • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

We can all agree that they make a dent. If not in overall revenue, then in microtransaction revenue, hence why Activision continues to do it. Numbers add up.

I’d agree if there were more accurate numbers. We’re talking about hundreds to thousands of YouTubers that do this, and some make Supply Drop videos every other day for hundreds of dollars at a time, I’m sure. I have no clue objectively speaking, out of all of the players dropping money on them vs. YouTubers, which one would be the real problem, because as you said, we don’t have exact values. How much total money have these “casuals” spent, or how many children have asked mommy for $15 PSN cards? Also they wouldn’t be using Youtubers for marketing during official events if they didn’t “need” them, and I’m sure that they’re helpning their cause by giving Activision more and more money. Where would Call of Duty, or any other game, be without YouTubers? I used to believe they don’t do anything in regards to overall sales statistics, but who knows for sure?

          • Ed

actually, i’vd done my research and youtubers do make up the greater percentage.

    • Keshav Bhat

No it’s not. Activision would have probably charged for Supply Drops in BO3 without Call of Duty Points. They had paid supply drops in AW, so it’s not a new idea. Using Call of Duty Points as a currency just made it easier for Treyarch to implement one currency across modes of play

  • Div1si0n

Eventually every game will end doing this.

  • Div1si0n

Eventually every game will end up doing this in some shape or form..

    • FazalGaming

At least splatoon doesn’t make you pay to change your paint colour… Yet anyway.

  • Div1si0n

I honestly do think that The Division will later on might do micro transactions..

    • Yankeephil
      • Two packs of outfits isn’t that big of a deal. Like it’s not game breaking and these outfits don’t look that great at all. The game breaking Micro DLC would be using special currency to buy equipment that would ruin the game.

        • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

And here we are, complaining about cosmetic items. It’s not just about buying things to win, it’s about the concept as well has the intention. Point is about The Division, is that Ubisoft literally confirmed that microtransactions would never be in the game, and saying that “it’s not game breaking” doesn’t justify it at all, because it’s not the point.

  • Activison

Haha do you like my evil supply drops

  • Activison

We have our greedy little sausage fingers on your money

  • ToonToons22

    Yeah, thanks but NO THANKS.

  • scrotesmd

Desperate fuckers no one should buy these

    • Donald Trump

Im gonna spend over $2000 on this

      • FazalGaming

Give me a small loan of a million dollars and I will buy COD points.

  • Mel Banh

To the people who buy CoD Points, do you not see the writing on the wall? “Buy sheeps! Buy!!!”

    Clearly
they’re not holding back. And to think that they still have 3
more map packs to release… You know they’ll have more weapons, taunts, camos, and possibly specialists they haven’t released yet. So if you think this is bad, just wait until Infinity
Ward’s turn. This kind of tactic is making my friends and I play less
    and less.

I went from “If it’s Ghosts 2, I’m not buying it.” to
“Yeah, I won’t buy it regardless of what it is.” I know they won’t miss
my 60 bucks because some moron will give them 100 without thinking twice
    on supply drops alone.

    /rant

    Carry on.

    • iTYPE2ANNOY

      I salute you.

  • FazalGaming

Can you purchase these with cyrptokeys or is it just Cod points?

    • Kobrah

The only ones we have to blame for keeping these going are freakin youtubers and there dumb assed openings. Dont watch those people.

  • Canziee

Jesus what’s with all the double xp weekends to we need double cryptokeys! The only way to earn loads of cryptokeys is by playing groundwar safegaurd but you only get 50xp per kill which means you score per minute goes down fairly quickly

Fuck supply drops, fuck activision, fuck greedy corporate bastards and fuck this franchise

how much more greedy can they get? they already charge for map packs, camos, supply drops, SD weapons, collectors editions, more classes and so much other shit yet we’re expected to buy the new game every year as well?

    • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

I’m done actively supporting this franchise. Been doing it since around 2008/2009, and I’ve gotten every single Call of Duty at full price; and this is how Activision treats the experienced fans that got them their billions in the first place? They’re done. King (Candy Crush developer) must have screwed them hard and that makes me giddy.

      • MichiganerE

        Screwed them? What happened?

        • FazalGaming

Activision purchased King (The creators of Candy Crush Saga and so on) for $5.9 billion US dollars.

        • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

They bought King for billions, which is probably why we’re still seeing microtransactions.

  • MurkN101

I prefer getting cancer at full price, none of this 50% off bullshit.

this video had some good ideas regarding how to fix the supply drops. its an ok video, but the message was solid in my opinion

  • .Monkey

Friggen hell, someone has to start something. A campaign or just something. Make it go viral. Make people boycott next years Call of Duty. Tell people it’ll be worth it as it’ll fix their games. Something needs to happen, fast.

  • jooker-jr

From now on, I will not purchase any cod add-ons.

  • Anarchy

Technology this days I perfect to work out or for fun just work, and if a troll comes to commented me I way say come to my land where I can lift any prick ass body builder!

    • Anonymous

All big company can help 3rd world instead making this worthless games.

      • Combat Maneuvers

        True, COD is worthless.

    • FunGuyAtParties

      Lol. Wut?

  • Combat Maneuvers

All I care is that they fix the camo glitches and broken Dark Matter Treyarch has been neglecting to fix for ages on Xbox One.

  • sheldon

What bullshit. Fuck the people who grind the game to earn cryptokeys which take so long to earn. Where is our 50% discount.” Hi guys thank you for playing BO3 continuously and sticking with COD over the years. For a limited time only 15 cryptokeys for a rare supply drop. Enjoy guys”. Is that so fucken hard.

I like supply drops, but I don’t like that they make new weapons only available through supply drops. It takes so damn long to get 30 cryptokeys it’s ridiculous. I think supply drops were fine in AW not because it gave you an op weapon, however when you earn them as you play the game. I think they should at least give people who bought season pass the weapons.

  • Div1si0n

The thing is that it probably doesn’t bother youtubers to make supply drop opening videos, they probably just make what the spent just by making the video.

  • zack

Wish I would’ve never bought this game or the season pass. Greedy af, makes me sick.

    • Kobrah

      Giving half price is greedy?

  • thebulky1cometh

I’m genuinely embarrassed that I flew off the deep end late last night and purchased 3 ten-pack bundles in hopes of landing the MX Garand. After 30+rare supply drops (probably closer to 40 after cryptokey bonuses and duplicate burns), I was left with nothing but self-loathing, taunts, and a handful of useless camos/gun variants.

  • mark boyle

Long story short, Activision told sledge hammer to find a way to keep people interested in the game. Sledge created supply drops. Activision said monetize it. Activision told treyarch to do the same. 3arc said ok, but only cosmetic stuff. Activision said fine, as long as sales are good. No one bought supply drops, so Activision forced 3arc to add weapons. End of story. End of call of duty.
