A new listing by internal retailer document has revealed that Call of Duty 2016 will be revealed by next Tuesday, May 3rd.

The document reveals that the retailer should be getting display images for the new Call of Duty title to be placed in their store on May 3rd, replacing the Star Fox Zero banners.

The image was originally posted by games critic Jim Sterling.

Activision has not yet announced any details regarding what Call of Duty 2016 will be. Rumors claim the title takes place in the future in space.

    Furst?

  • Skillreks

also, I’m 50/50 on the new game. I don’t know if I want to be hyped, then let down, or just not care now, and if it starts to look good, then I raise hopes

  • Skillreks

    Also Keshav, you the bomb.

    • Keshav Bhat

      <3…this is a compliment, right?

      • GinsuVictim

It appears legit, though outdated. “Da Bomb” would’ve been even better…and more outdated.
There is a chance that he’s just confused and thinks this is Search and Destroy.

  • Idgaf

I have a good feeling about this sunday!

  • LovekillerX

Here we go! Can’t wait to see what my favorite developer is up to!

Question: is it REVEAL or reveal (teaser and date for reveal trailer?)

    • Idgaf

judging these are retailer banners 36 inches by 10 inches a title would at least be revealed.

    • Who Am I To Judge?

There is almost no chance in my mind that the full release trailer would be out then, they have to do their cryptic stuff first

      • LovekillerX

I think we have to wait for the end of May. But IW doesn’t do any cryptic stuff (at least I’m not aware of that from previous titles) so maybe there is a chance to know a lot more on next Tuesday?

        • Who Am I To Judge?

My guess is there will be a 30 second trailer today, and the full reveal next Tuesday

    • Mick

Most likely a teaser. I don’t think they wouldn’t REVEAL the game at this point. It’s too early but we did see a bit of multiplayer in bo3’s trailer months back so I’m hoping IW does the same.

      • LovekillerX

It would be nice to know what the theme is (it is still not confirmed by IW). Also if space theme is true how is the movement etc.

        • Mick

I also hope that they release a beta. I don’t see why they wouldn’t since bo3 had one, but IW is really sketchy so I’ll be optimistic about it.

    • BigMacMan

probably a reveal. this time last year, the BO3 reveal trailer was released

      • LovekillerX

Ghosts had teaser which came in the beginning of May 2013. Reveal came in the end of the month. So basically actual reveal trailer would come in the end of May. Who knows?

But all those leaks before reveal… for example AW reveal trailer came before it was intended to release.

        • CoDforever

ghosts reveal came at the end of month at the xbox event because they couldnt show next-gen gameplay without next-gen revealing itself.

      • Aidan

A year goes by fast. I remember watching that trailer for the first time.

    • jordanxbrookes

      It’s neither a REVEAL or a reveal, it’s a “reaveal” ;P

    • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

      “Favorite developer” whoa bruh.

      • LovekillerX

Opinions. I wonder why someone likes Treyarch but it is about taste.

  • Will

is its set in the future again i will be done with cod, i want a good vietnam cod or ww2

    • LovekillerX

Rumors are telling it is space themed in some way.

    • jordanxbrookes

Same, I miss the history 😐

  • BigMacMan

tfw BO3 was announced this time last year

  • Idgaf

if its like battlestar galactica It would be pretty dank as they were still boots on the ground, if its like aw but with jetpacks roflmao im out.

  • Lets get right into the noose!

This year for CoD so far may be the most cryptic in years. I mean, shit, we’re at the end of April, and Drift0r, our beloved hero still doesn’t have any leaks!

  • Mick

Finally! I’m hoping to see campaign (obviously) and a bit of multiplayer in this trailer. Just like how bo3 did when the reveal trailer was released. I’m really curious to see how multiplayer is going to work based on this space theme they got going over there. Time is of the essence… ?

  • Eddie Tupy

    man they spelt/spelled reveal wrong…

    • Mick

Yeah they did. Good eye. Still, I don’t think this would be fake. Everyone makes mistakes.

  • Joe Rodriguez (X2003FTF)

BO3 proves that call of duty should be on a four year development cycle BUT with two DLC seasons & only between infinity Ward and 3arc as developers.

Should be in November they release the game+Season 1 DLC Season Pass @ launch. Next November they launch an expansion pack (new campaign levels+unlocks along w/2 mp maps & one hordes map) along w/Season 2 DLC Season Pass.

This is win win for everyone. It doubles the value of supply drops which currently tarnish the games prestige and will entice consumers to spend more knowing they’ll get another year out of their investment.

The only drawback is the campaign. The campaign stories aren’t bad but the gameplay is horrific. The unlocklevel up system on campaign is nowhere near on par with that of multiplayer or even zombies for that matter. It needs to have a more robust charactergun level upunlock system and the game play needs more strategy and exploration emphasized in it.

Fix campaign and a two season four year development cycle would make everyone happy. Consumer get a good deal and Activision make even larger profits.

    • joey

      eh, i prefer sledgehammer.

    • Lets get right into the noose!

Why not just have one season pass that spans over the course of two years with all of this content included? One season pass is already overpriced as it is.

      • Joe Rodriguez (X2003FTF)

It’s just only slightly over priced but I agree it’s a little overpriced.

The thing is there’s absolutely NO way Activision from a game+season pass annual to biannually, it doesn’t make monetary sense for them to do that. This way they make oogles of money and we take one step forward to fixing the supply drop problem.

    • GinsuVictim

There are better games in the past that were only two years, so I don’t think four years who do anything more than give them extra time to develop monetizing strategies.

      • Joe Rodriguez (X2003FTF)

I agree there have been better games under the 2 year cycle but I don’t think there has been as “robust” as BO3.

BO3 although still lacking in campaign features (definitely lacking in campaign gameplay) was full of MP and Zombies content right out of the box. So although I agree there have been “better” CoD games BO3 (i never played AW) is the most robust.

That said RNG is here to stay guys, we need to accept that. I’m certain Activision has an entire division dedicated to finding ways to continue to further monetize future CoD titles. They are NOT going to take a step back and reduce their overall profits, it’s simply not an option they’re willing to look at anymore. Our only option now is to create more value for our purchases because I don’t see a scenario where the community will band together and altogether stop buying CoD points. A two year season per CoD (4 year development cycle) cycle is the only way for us the consumer to get get more bang for our buck while.

    • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

I don’t think BO3’s gameplay is horrific (compared to the previously boring/non-fun linear Campaigns), but BO3’s RPG elements have potential. Imagine being able to actually create your own variants (Gunsmith is a little pathetic, let’s be honest, I mean; ONE cosmetic attachment variant?) They could definitely expand on it.

      • Joe Rodriguez (X2003FTF)

EXACTLY! There was TONS of potential in BO3s campaign mode, both the standard campaign and the zombies campaign but it fell flat…. A good interactive experience as well as added customization goes a long way to making the game a lot more enjoyable.

I think the stories are “okay” but what bores me are the actual gameplay elements. it’s very straight forward, no puzzles, no exploration, no strategy, etc. A better experience would warrant an expansion pack. Say where you load outs actually make a difference on the game outcome. Some levels may require stealth so your loadout NEEDS a silencer or something. Not just picking up other guns or infinite ammo resupplies around the map. There’s no “challenge” in CoD campaigns and it takes away from the game. what you end up with is a long cinematic which wasn’t bad in BO3 but the reward to get there was negligible since there was no difficulty getting there. Heck you might as well just watched a movie.

I didn’t play MW series but even BO1 had some nice points in the game where if you made the wrong decision you lost the level and had to start over,,, and that was nice.

  • CrazyWolf

    I still believe it’s Ghosts 2.

  • ccrows

IDK guys, for the first time since COD4, I’m not “excited” about the next game.

Shinobi602 (if he is indeed right) has kinda painted a picture to where I really don’t want to see the series heading into.

IMO, BO3 is as far into the future as I really want to get, and yes I am a fan of BO3, heck I even consider BO3 in my all time top 3 (COD4, BO2, BO3).

But sadly I’m more interested in knowing what is gonna happen with MW/MW2 on this gen more than COD16, and I really hope that they are considering a remaster…

    • Guywithbrains

Although on-disc maps of Black Ops 3 are only decent compared to previous Black Ops games’ on-disc maps.

But what comes to Shinobi602 he is a known leaker so I am 90% sure it will be space warfare. This makes me sceptical about multiplayer but I am definitely interested in story.

      • LovekillerX

Especially when there are Naughty Dog developers on board. Yes they don’t do miracles but they sure have positive impact on the story.

      • ccrows

IMO BO2’s stock maps were the best in the series since COD4, but I would put BO3’s stock maps ahead of OG BO’s stock maps, since IMO the best maps in OG BO were all in the DLC (sans Jungle), and yes they were great!

And while I listed BO3 as my 3rd fav COD, OG BO is my close 4th especially since those DLC maps were awesome… 🙂

    • LovekillerX

MW2 with no BS and updated graphics = SOLD.

      • ccrows

On soooooo many levels, YES!… 🙂

        • LovekillerX

Also hacker free multiplayer… rangers lead the way!

          • ccrows

Sadly, that’s why I’m not all thrilled with a BC version of COD4/MW2.

COD4 alone has some dangerous mod menu hacks, that can derank you to level 1 forever with just only a pistol class.

^ IW said in the past that they can’t fix COD4 without rebuilding it, so that’s why I really hope that they have a “plan B” backup to where they roll out a remastered MW/MW2 Spring/Summer this time next year if COD16 does indeed go in the tank…

          • X1 KILLA (John D)

Whenever I go back and play an old cod the lobbies r fine with no hackers.

      • Guywithbrains

        *Insert Jack Nicholson yes.gif here*

      • X1 KILLA (John D)

It’s only MW1 remastered not 2. Mw2 is noob tube trash.

    • Thomas the Tankswag

I wouldn’t believe leaks, 99% of the time leaks for games are wrong.

      • jordanxbrookes

Shinobi isn’t some guy on Reddit though, he’s a legit source. I saw his early COD 2015 tweets last year. It’s gonna be set in Space in the far, far future.

        • Thomas the Tankswag

We’ll see Tuesday then, not saying its wrong but theres no reason to hate on a game until we actually hear confirmation.

          • PuddleOfStix

Bruh, no-one was hating. Jordan was just pointing out that it’s likely to be legit and not fake.

          • Thomas the Tankswag

Bruh, im pretty sure 99.9% of the CoD community are hating on the next cod before its even announced.

          • Wor Jackie

The CoD community does the same thing every single year. They hate on any rumours about the next CoD, they all shut up once it’s announced and rush out to buy it the minute its released and by March they’re all whinging and moaning about how shit it is. Then it starts all over again in April.

          • jordanxbrookes

The only thing I hate right now is futuristic Call of Duty games. A legit source claims the next game will be set in Space and in the far future? Yeah, I’m definitely not liking that one bit.

          • Thomas the Tankswag

Futuristic =/= Bad. BO3 was great until supply drop weapons, AW could have been great without supply drops being buyable and sbmm. If done well, and it keeps the pure cod aspects such as fast paced small maps with perks and killstreaks, space could be great.

Also, ‘legit source’ does not guarantee a confirmation of a leak. Sometimes people use their fame to get more attention by making shit up (COUGH-Call Of duty Evo-COUGH), or they could have leaked non real content (lead on by IW, or leaked a concept.). The source could be right, believe it if you want to, but Don’t hate on a game until its confirmed and we’ve gameplay.

          • PuddleOfStix

Dude, we are not hating in this comment thread. I don’t like the idea of future CoD, but I’M keeping it to myself because it’s MY opinion and I don’t feel the need to share my disapproval. IF the next CoD is indeed futuristic, then I’ll hate on it by not buying it because I don’t have to. But I also won’t be spreading my opinions around about it unless I play it. Which seems unlikely.

          • Wor Jackie

You do realise that you’re not hating on a game by not buying it, you’re just choosing not to buy it. Oh and the fact that you said that you dislike the idea of futuristic CoDs, means that you haven’t kept it to yourself.

          • Mizhe5

“bo3 was great until supply drop weapons” all those supply drop weapons are GARBAGE and you should be ashamed if you think you would be good with them. You’re literally shitting on whole game over stupid supply drops that literally do nothing and help you in no way at all. A bunch of idiots are always complaining, for years you’ve guys wanted change, hell i remember a bunch of idiots hated black ops 2 at first and if i not mistaken, everyone shitted on ghosts…. and was that not boots on the ground?

          • Thomas the Tankswag

They are not garbage, all of them suit different playstyles and the only way you can quickscope is with a supply drop weapon.

But its not that they’re are overpowered or anything that ruins the game, its the fact that there is gameplay changing content which most people will never get ever even if they have paid £100+ on the game + season passes + special editions. Why should someone have to pay even more than that to get 100% of the games content?

        • LovekillerX

Also if I remember right you have to be some sort of verified insider in GAF. He would have been banned long time ago if he is just spreading lies. Also some people like to say it is just common sense. You can’t know themes and release dates by just using common sense lol.

          • jordanxbrookes

Release dates, maybe, but certainly not themes.

      • ccrows

Except that Shinobi has been 100% spot on with his leaked info for the last 2 CODs though…

      • Rorke File

Those are leaks from Activision, so you will get hyped. Also a business market strategy.

    • X1 KILLA (John D)

They be more people on MW1 then space warfare lmao

  • ddrhodes33

Anyone else notice that the word “reveal” is spelt wrong? Could be fake

    • Possibly, I searched up the word and nothing came up so it’s probably fake.

      • PuddleOfStix

It’s called a typo, man. It could be fake, but it could be a mis-type. Hell, I mis-typed just now.

  • Guys, do you think that if IW made a Modern Warfare Remastered, that Activision would add supply drops?

    • LovekillerX

Answer for that question is in supply drops. *grabs jacket*

Seriously I don’t think so. It would nice to see remastered MW collection.

      • Guywithbrains

You know where the door is.

And a question came to my mind about this reveal: could it come by any chance during NBA playoffs (this weekend if I’m not wrong)?

        • LovekillerX

I hope so. They have been so silent about the next title. There aren’t almost any leaks and it is almost May.

          • ccrows

Yeah, and it makes me think that there won’t be a beta either…

    • ccrows

Great question, & while I would hope not, I’d still take a SD system over the BC versions if that meant that the remastered would be 100% hack free.

I just don’t know how they can release a BC COD4 with all those nasty mod menu hacks that will completely ruin the game forever for each user that gets hacked in less than a handful of matches.

They claim that COD4 would need to be remade to fix the security, but (while I would hate it) I would prefer a SD remastered system over a BC where my experience could be completely ruined by 1 butthurt hacker… 🙁

  • Mikey9835

Hey Keshav you spelt his name wrong, its Jim fucking sterling son! jk

  • Pattahawk _

DO NOT TRUST SHINOBI. AT ALL! Is it a coincidence that his “leak” came out the SAME week as a new batch of supply drop weapons? I THINK NOT! I honestly think he’s hired by activision to spread lies to mis-guide activision’s competition along with their fanbase.

    • ccrows

Not sure if you’re trolling or not, but his leaks about AW and BO3 came out months before each game launched.

The guy has a pretty good track record up to this point…

      • LovekillerX

I don’t remember him being wrong. Or if he has been wrong sometimes that “wrong things” list isn’t a long one. I trust him.

        • ccrows

Heck I remember when CI was using his info about AW, and was like “There’s no way that AW is gonna end up like that”. (mainly talking about the movement and exo abilities here)

Like it or not, the guy has been money with his info…

          • LovekillerX

I still remember people believing this “arcengine” which had only few comments before telling us about implants replacing perks. I hope they remember who was right after all.

Maybe it is denial if people don’t believe space theme.

          • Lets get right into the noose!

Oh god, I remember arcengine too.

      • Pattahawk _

        Still. THE ELECTION IS RIED
        TH ELECTION IS RIGGED

        • Lets get right into the noose!

What does this have to do with anything?

          • Pattahawk _

            My sister took the computer.

      • Pattahawk _

@ccrows I you shouldn’t trust him at all! He could be paid off by activision.

    • jordanxbrookes

Sorry m8 but CoD is going into Space, whether you like to hear it or not.

      • Pattahawk _

If you put a piece of gameplay of cod 2, then put it next to black ops 3, could you tell that they were the same game?

    • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

Except he leaks more than Call of Duty information, and he’d be banned on GAF if he were a liar.

  • TfarTn

    Okay…

  • Aidan

    Buckle up boys.

  • Idgaf

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Kappa is it shopped ?

    • Guywithbrains

It looks legit but at the same time everything can be photoshopped.

Can someone more professional say if this is fake or not?

      • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

Only a professional could fake that. Sony officially took it down, so it’s real.

  • Rorke File

Those are leaks from Activision, so you will get hyped also a business market strategy.

  • BradyAlucard[sillibk]

Nobody should be expecting Infinity Ward to remaster/remake 3 games in 3 years. That’s way too safe.

  • How I imagine this game is being made…

  • They spelled ‘Reveal’ wrong

  • Antonym Light(youtube name)

Guys even if they did bring back mw2 it would be in a supply drop ???

  • AsianPersonDude

Considering “reveal” is spelled wrong, I call bullshit.

  • ActiHUSTLAvision

  • Nonversation

This is for everyone whining about their opinions or comments about their ideas stfu nobody gives a fuck if youre open minded, optimistic, or just commenting something because youre a newbie and you feel like telling every one your ideas on how more shittier they can make the game.

  • Dimasco

Why would i believe this if the sheet cant even spell “reveal” correctly.

  • gtavpc

Here we go if activision is going to touch it you know there’s going to be micro transactions right? lol

  • Nvj Dac
