In the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Ship Assault Gameplay video, fans have found that during 5:06 mark in the video, a boost meter shows up on the screen as the player slides across the area.

That meter looks very similar to what is found in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, which re-confirms Infinite Warfare’s movement system will be very similar to Black Ops 3. Black Ops 3 features a very controlled, chain-based movement system, which allows for wall running, jumps, and more.

      Not really.

    • fr4gbob

      Yep, cool

  • fr4gbob

Thats a good sign, I would prefer they cut out the wall running, but its not a game breaker, just gotta hope for good maps now and I’m in.

    • Eriko

I´m worried about the maps because the multiplayer developer at IW said they learned from treyarch´s maps.

      • fr4gbob

I hope so, Treyarch is yet to let me down, sure they have had a few bad maps here and there, but the majority have always been great imo…. so if that’s true, I’m happy.

      • DeadZombieGaming 12

It really depends what they mean by Treyarch’s maps. Doesn’t necessarily mean BO3.

  • CoDforever

I hope so. We already have cod4 for boots on the ground. 2 games playing the same is retarded.

    • ScOott

If thats the case hopefully they remaster A.W for u then next year and we get a new a new boots on ground game, the remaster only comes with the speak easy, and Bal tho becuse the rest of the guns were pointless.. Enjoy..

      • Smayo

Lets hope they finally realize over at activision and dev teams that these so called innovative chain based movements have had their time…

I never had such low hype for a CoD game then this year, and that’s purely because it has the same movement system as Bo3. I didn’t even watch the campaign video’s this year….

        • Pdndbsjcjc

We’ve only had that movement since 2014 while having the same gameplay for 7 years

          • Ak74u

And real wars don’t have people bouncing around like frogs, it should always be the same boots on the ground because that’s how war is

          • COD is not a war simulator. No where close.

          • jordanxbrookes

He didn’t say CoD is a war simulator, but the CoD we used to know did have a realistic approach e.g. realistic weapons, vehicles, setting, visuals etc.

          • BradyAlucard

Because paying $60 for a rehashed game is not ideal.

          • Smayo

Only 2 years of that movement…. and the franchise is in shambles, go figure…

      • J4MES

        Haha!

      • CoDforever

Except AW is trash and there is no guarantee new boots on the ground games wont be trash like ghosts, ill take a WaW or MW2 remake instead

        • ScOott

There’s no guarantee an advanced movment system game won’t be trash either, I don’t get ur point?

I wasn’t really expecting them to make a remake of A.W for u, I was just showing u how redicules ur comment was..

While I’m Greatful for the remaster I sure as hell don’t want to be stuck playing the same games for the rest of my life, people want a new boots on ground game to play.. (not that Im dismissing IW just incase any idiotic future fan trys to butt in)

  • Jhonatan Orlando Ferro

boots on the ground > all futurist movements

    • CoDforever

      We have cod4 too, dw.

      • Steven

Which you have to pay extra for duh!

        • Jhonatan Orlando Ferro

^ this… buy 2 games only to play one, sucks!

          • Guest

You’ll be the same guy complaining about campers. Boots on the ground and especially IW’s map design and emphasis on long range weapons are very conducive to camping.

        • CoDforever

          its only $20 more

          • BradyAlucard

Only? $80 is still a lot. I already got the Hardened Edition for Black Ops 3 (and 1 just FYI).

          • CoDforever

$20 more for a completely seperate game with completely remade visuals is a good deal

          • BradyAlucard

            It’s not bad.

      • Johtoboy

They still haven’t told us what their plans are for the rest of the maps. I’m not going to make a purchasing decision until I find out. There’s no way in hell that I’ll pay $80 just for MWR and then have to pay more for the other maps as well.

        • CoDforever

your not paying 80 just for cod4 though, you get IW

          • BradyAlucard

What if it doesn’t have enough content? $80 wasted. Black Ops 3’s warranted the $80 imo.

          • CoDforever

you already know what cod4 is.

          • BradyAlucard

I know that CoD 4 has a short Campaign and the remaster has half of the maps. Maps are a huge part of the content in that game and they’re essentially giving us half of CoD 4, and I’m not saying that there’s ‘a lot’ to bitch about. Ultimately, yeah, it’s good for gamers.

          • Johtoboy

Not very interested in IW. The campaign looks fun, but you know that only lasts for a few hours.

        • RdJokr

I think that will depend on how many people end up buying and playing MWR. From there, Activision will decide whether to charge you extra for the new maps, or not give you new maps at all. I would love to say there’s a third option where you get free maps, but then again, COD is way too big of a franchise for that to happen.

          • Johtoboy

“I think that will depend on how many people end up buying and playing MWR.”

That would be stupid because there’s likely a good percentage of players (like myself) holding out to see if MWR will be released separately.

          • RdJokr

True, but then again, we don’t know the exact statistics. That was what Activision did with the last-gen port of BO3. They didn’t say squat about DLC plans for it, because they wanted to know how many people were willing to buy it. If there were enough, then it would make sense for them to try and port the DLC maps. Hence why Awakening and The Giant ended up coming to last gen.

So, in a similar case here, if enough people buy MWR, they’ll consider getting Raven Software to work on the rest of the maps.

    • Chain movement > Boots on ground

    • ActuallyThinksBeforePosting

You realize that is why Acti is releasing CoD4 AND IW this year. They DID listen to your part of the community. You don’t see those that enjoy extra movement options saying “I wish CoD4 wasn’t part of the set at all.”

Be happy and stop hating. Think before you post and come up with reasons WHY things are “better” than others instead of merely stating that they are.

      • Rorke File

Call of Duty used to be a military shooter with boots on the ground, how the fudge did it evolve to futuristic movement. He wants a new boots on the ground game, I’m happy with COD4 tho, but not selling it separately says enough.

        • Nella

It evolved into futuristic movement because they listened to people who said CoD was the same thing year after year, they changed the game like everyone wanted and then people complain that it’s not CoD anymore, grow up.

          • Rorke File

I didn’t ask for this change and no one asked for this change but changes like better servers, new engine etc. They just did this to make more money.

      • Manuel Fraire

How did they “listen” when the are shoving it down people’s throats by forcing them to buy the crappy one for the good one?

I’m skipping this one for sure. I’ll go to BF1.

        • Chocobooo!

          You won’t be missed.

      • they are releasing cod4 and iw this year to milk money, stop defending fucking activision cuckold.

  • ScOott

Long as wall running is gone at least please, it effects the maps to much..

    • BradyAlucard

I thought it was cool in Black Ops 3. But the jump shooting is 3x as bad as Black Ops 2’s jump shooting… Annoying ass bullshit.

      • ScOott

Nerr, it’s the exact reason why Dlc maps are shit becuse they have to work the map around the movment, shit dlc means the game gets stale quick .. It’s the reason we haven’t got any classic maps..

Movment should never have such an impact on map design, all movement should be is to get from point A to B.. Boost jump, slides are all that should be needed there was no need to add wall running what so ever..

        • BradyAlucard

I think the way that it was iterated was clever. The map design was more sophisticated, yet still simple, and there are clever shortcuts.

    • And pointless water

    • Eddie Tupy

smh stop living in the past.

      • ScOott

        Living in the past?

    • Nella

Exactly, BO3 boost jumping and sliding wouldn’t be nearly as bad with no wall running in it.

  • Jay Evan

Well, can’t say I’m supposed to be surprised.

  • Duke of hazard

IDK why but I cannot get myself to get hyped for this game, even with the MW remaster.

  • DANK_Tigger (4chan-Faggot)

ok who’s got steam and plays cs:go

  • waylay3r

I dont mind it at all ,as long as the game has proper hitboxes and and a good network. Tbh ghosts did great in the hitreg/netcode department. BO3 lag comp together with rapid movement is what makes the game bullshit from time to times

  • DeadZombieGaming 12

    who cares m8

  • J4MES

As long as wall running hasn’t been replaced with zero gravity combat in MP….

    • ScOott

I reckon we will be using that grappling hook..

      • I wouldn’t mind. Exo grapple was by far my favourite game mode in AW

        • ScOott

I never got to use it, as long as it’s not as chaotic as A.W..

          • Aiming with it was very hard, but it was very satisfying to kill people with it.

        • Eddie Tupy

really hope they add this in especially vs bots/custom match

      • Chocobooo!

Getting old eh, scoott my man? We understand why oldies are not having fun with the new movement system such as wall-running, thrust jumping and grapple. We honestly do. 🙂

        • Eddie Tupy

back in my day you could camp in a corner and the enemies would come to ya and youd know theres nothing they could do to get an advantage except pure reaction speed.. /s

  • I understand the frustration of people paying extra for COD: MWR, but to me I don’t have to pay as much 😛 Amazon prime forever! Haha. But Infinite Warfare didn’t impress me too much, instead it changed drastically and I’m not into flying ships and fighting AI in such environments but I’ll see the MP and other missions and hopefully be impressed!

  • Dangelo95

I just hope it isn’t too similar to BO3 where it feels like the same game gotta tweak it up some how

  • Cheesesteakwit

The future movements don’t bother me but fighting on other planets and asteroids or space stations is a deal breaker for me!! Why is COD becoming like Destiny, Halo or Titanfall!!! Stay on earth keep it a military shooter

    • fr4gbob

The space stuff is just a theme and makes absolutely no difference what so ever to game play

      • darren

Except for probably half the game is probably in the cockpit of the ship. I never really cared for the jumping in tanks, helo’s, fighter jets, etc. It has always been the actual GUNPLAY that the game is about. So, to see this turning into a (insert space game reference, ie, Elite Dangerous, No Man’s Sky, etc.) is a slap in the face, really. Anyone who has played from the early years, is gonna feel the same way, to some extent. As I am.
However, that’s campaign bullshit, which is basically just filler. The meat and potatoes of the game is MP, and that is where they are either gonna succeed, or fail miserably. And now Zombies being in every CoD, just kinda cheapens the novelty of Tryarch’s titles. It just seems to me, that Activision is attempting to “please all of the people, all of the time,”( which isn’t even possible) by stuffing as much of every genre into it a fps.
It sucks, cuz after Ghosts, I was completely burned out. But surprisingly, AW kinda brought back (for me) what I originally liked about CoD. But the “Supply Drop Issue” happened, and it ruined Black Ops. I’m not defending either games Supply Drop problem, but it (for me) worked better on AW. There was much more of EVERYTHING to get, so chances of getting something you didn’t have were WWWWAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY better than BO3. Weapons, Armor, Exo, Helmets, Shoes, Shirts, etc., as compared to Head, Body, Camos, Weapons, and what 3,4,5(?) different taunts and gesture categories? AW had 300+ weapons. BO3 has, what, maybe 20, and 3/4’s are melee weapons.
Which, I guess is a long way of saying, I’m not too stoked this year. Too many signs are pointing to be really bad. Ghosts blew. Supply Drops will be back with a vengance. And the kicker, the remaster that everyone will buy IW for, because there won’t be any way to get it before it’s been out for like 8 months for everyone who actually bought IW. Yeah, graphics and gunplay looked okay, but until MP is actually revealed, and the actual mechanics for MP are explained, Activision hasn’t gotten my money yet. And I’m not sure if they will at all. It all hinges on MP.
Oh, and by the way, it was a pretty blah E3.

      • TheHorror

What a stupid statement to make. There’s already going to be zero gravity (at least in the campaign, i will slash my wrists if it’s in the multiplayer), meaning the theme is changing the gameplay. Not to mention half the reason i enjoyed Call Of Duty to begin with was because it was somewhat realistic up until the last couple of years. This shit is full blown sci-fi, and i am far from being a fan of anything to do with sci-fi.

        • darren

I don’t mind sci-fi stuff, just not in CoD. To me, it goes together like peanut butter and motor oil.

    • DeadZombieGaming 12

If it stayed on Earth forever, i can see myself getting bored of it pretty fast.

  • Ak74u

I saw some leaning in the gameplay will that also return? I don’t mind leaning it’s alright

    • BradyAlucard

It’d be nice to be able to lean without having to touch a wall. AKA R6 Siege.

    • Mario Rivera

Ohhhh god no… Leaning is ghost was so annoying to deal with.

    • jordanxbrookes

I liked the contextual leaning in Ghosts, but once again the community exploited it and made many people, including myself, hate it.

      • Ak74u

I liked it too but your right after a few weeks everyone would use leaning as a camping strategy and it heavily encouraged camping but the only reason I liked it was because it seems like something a real soldier would do in real life and also it was very useful in modes like search and destroy peaking around corners and stuff

    • DEMOLITION12

“i saw it in the gameplay will it be in the game”
      are you dumb?

      • Ak74u

I mean the multiplayer portion dumbfuck and the reason I’m asking is because it showed one quick shot of leaning but when asked about the movement system they never mentioned it so it could be something their just testing out within the game. They only said familiar bo3 movement but nothing on leaning so stfu and stop being rude

  • Stefan Lang

    Can’t wait.

  • Element115Will

So everyone is happy that Bo3 movement system is back (except wall running for now) and yet complain about it on Bo3?! What? *sigh* this community, I swear.

    • fr4gbob

Not everyone complains about it on Black Ops 3, I really like the movement system on Black Ops 3, its pretty much what got me back into cod after not playing for nearly 2 years after the bore fest they made with Ghosts.

    • ScOott

Dude I don’t know it u know this yet, but the next game is going to have advanced movment.. knowing that fact, bo3 did a pretty successful job of advanced movment compared to the likes of Shithammer.. So this is why people want it to be like bo3, which IW has already confirmed..

I hope this helped with ur confusion.. Hopefully u understand yarr?

      • Element115Will

I rewatched everything and felt stupid in the end honestly. But I wanna wait til multiplayer is revealed, but if its confirmed that it will be the same a BO3, then hell, I am probably already gonna preorder honestly.

  • waylay3r

Also the reactions about the gameplay are pretty positive on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/4nz5t2/call_of_duty_infinite_warfare_e3_2016/

  • W1LL1AM04

Something told me they were really dumbing down the boost option in the gameplay. In order to avoid the hate.

    • Filthy Prank’d

OR… it’s supposed to be that way. Wow, never thought of that, did you?

      • W1LL1AM04

        Mind blown

      • Sentinel

If only I could double-like this!

  • Sentinel

I think all gameplay reveals looked great! Battlefield and Call of Duty
are on two different categories. It is nice to know I can switch back
and forth if I ever get bored of playing in space. I’ve been a loyal fan
to the Call of Duty franchise since the first Xbox on 2001, when I
first got exposed to the shooter genre…Lie! Perfect Dark on Nintendo
was my first experience. I’m bitter that they kept on going with the
futuristic theme but they never take away the feel of Call of Duty when
it comes to gameplay. The minute I pick up the controller and start
playing it, I feel like I’m very experienced and could keep up with
these squeakers online! Show them who’s the real veteran in COD.

    Off
topic, I think Titanfall 2 is the COD version of EA!! Call me crazy but
looking at both gameplays, they aren’t so different when it comes to
their core movement mechanics despite the fact that they both have
    different futures!

    • Why do you set your comments all weird like that.

  • This is a litte thing to nitpick, but it’s absolutely bothering the shit out of me that the buttons like HOLD “O” TO RELOAD ” for example are colorless i hated that about AW, and Infinite Warfare is doing the samething

    • Sentinel

Honestly it does not make any difference. I can tell of the back when I see the shape. Plus it blends well with the display.

      • It doesn’t make it a difference. That’s why i said it’s a small thing to nitpick. And yeah it blends in, that’s why it sucks

        • Sentinel

          Suit yourself.

          • I mean I kinda already have with my comments, so

  • ICutOldPeople

I’m ok with boost jumps as long as they can’t jump over my head.

  • Mario Rivera

The wall running was a bit overkill in BO3 for me. I’m all for classic movement but I would be satisfied if they just left the BO3 version of sliding and jumping. Less is more sometimes.

  • Mick

I’m actually pretty excited for this campaign man.

  • Fuck-Off

This is not Call Of Duty, i was stupid to buy and play AW and this game remind me of that game i will not play a game like AW again
I will buy this game just for remastered version of MW
I am a fanboy of COD but this is to much man, its a shame this game have Call Of Duty in title

Dislike me if you want but this is my opinion

    • lunator100hd .

Unfortunatly your opinion dosent make sense because infinite warfare will be nothing like AW thats for sure, it may be good or bad we dont know but its just so foolish saying that those games are similar just because they are set in the future, bo3 is futuristc too and look how much better is than AW, anyway i respect your opinion i just feel so sad reading all this hate for a game that has so much potential to be good and enjoyable but gets a ”garbage” label becase many ppl dont realize what is the soul of game and what really matters at the end of a day.

    • Stefan Lang

This IS Call of Duty. That statement is used so much these days. The day it will never be Call of Duty is when we trade in our guns and First Person view for licensed vehicles and race on death tracks.

  • Mike Samifua

    COD4 > All of them #BootsOnGround

    • Stefan Lang

You do realize all CoDs are technically on the ground until you jump? ?

  • Weed the People

Just hope we have grappling hook instead of wall running then i’ll be alright

    • DeadZombieGaming 12

      As i always have said…
Grappling hooks make every game better.

  • Bradley Mercado

The people who want Black Ops 3 movement are little kids, older adults, and filthy casuals.

  • Kellyjdetrick2
  • Eddie Tupy

I dont understand the hate. Arent we all gamers? Dont we want different games with evolving ideas? I like what they are doing. You honestly gotta be pretty dumb to think that paying 80 bucks is a bad deal for a new game plus an old game remastered, especially for Console. You cant even play cod4 on ps4/x1 without this deal.

Humans just cant be happy without finding something to be victimized about.

    • Wraith

Because there’s a difference between buying a game they personally think will be enjoyable, versus a game they personally think has a chance of being the opposite. We are gamers, absolutely. And last time I checked, gamers don’t impulse buy full priced games without giving some thought to whether they’ll like it or not.

It’s not playing the victim, it’s called being a smart consumer.

      • Eddie Tupy

ya but most people talk shit even when theres no gameplay yet.

        • Wraith

This article is literally a post about the gameplay. Plus the same could be said about people that pre-order without seeing any gameplay either.

          • Eddie Tupy

you call this gameplay? what perks are there in the game? does it use 10 point system like bo2-3 or does it use ghosts way.

ya campaign doesnt mean shit for gameplay.

this is just clips to show off the open singleplayer gameplay.

also i never said to pre order i said not to just drop it and forget about it like everyone is doing.

          • Wraith

All I needed to see was the gunplay, and I saw it. If the gunplay, the core of every FPS ever, isn’t solid, then it doesn’t matter what the perks and shit are. I couldn’t care less about the spaceships and grappling hooks and junk. All I came to see was the gunplay, and there it was, and here I am unimpressed.

          • Eddie Tupy

ok go play bf1 for 2 months and go back to what youre doing now.

          • Wraith

I’m not sure what tnat implies but okay.

          • Eddie Tupy

im saying that you will return to whatever you play now after 2 months since bf1 will be boring. people man, always have to spell it out for them…

          • Wraith

See that’s exactly what I was afraid you’d say. You were talking about how people shouldn’t be hating on games prematurely and how you like different games. But it looks like you’re already hating on BF1, which hasn’t even come out yet. Just another hypocritical CoD fanboy. Should’ve mentioned CoD gets a free pass

          • Eddie Tupy

thats your fault if you take my opinion as fact man. People dont have to say ‘in my opinion’ every sentence. Everything people say is opinion unless they provide proof. You dont have to give me a chance man , im getting both games im just saying your type of person is the type that will stop playing any new game after 2 months.

          • Eddie Tupy

i dont need any chances. Whatever anyone says on the internet is opinion, its your fault if you think its a fact or not. No one should have to put imo every time they utter a word. im saying that based on your attitude you seem like the person that plays a game for 2 months and stops because its stale or something..

          • Wraith

That’s just your excuse for changing your argument every comment. But whatever man, I’ll play my shit you play your shit. Sorry for wasting everyone’s time.
