Treyarch has announced a new game mode called Fracture, which is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 starting on Friday, July 15.

The support for this new mode was added in with the latest patch.

Pick up core files dropped by fallen enemies and deliver them to the fracture site. Depositing the core files earns score for your team. The first team to reach the score limit or the team with the most deposited files at the end of the time limit wins the match.

The playlist will be available in the Bonus Playlist on July 15 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Its the same as Grind from Ghosts right?

    • Stefan Lang

      Yep

      • Dr. Edward Richtofen

        Yes best ghost mode

        • Thomas the Tankswag

Agree totally, some how they didn’t add it to public games

          • Dr. Edward Richtofen

Fuck ghost bots always use dogs

    • jordanxbrookes

Yup, exactly the same just with a different name.

  • Ivan

There needs to be hardcore fracture!
The “time to kill” sucks on core

    • BudEagle

I think you dont like ttk because you cant aim. Core ttk is pretty fast if good players are playing.

      • Ivan

I can aim better than u! At every game! I shouldn’t have to waste a full clip to kill someone! In fact! Hardcore takes skill!

        • Dr. Edward Richtofen

Lol hardcore is easy you dumbass

          • Ivan

Haha u won’t say that in person! SOUTH LA 🙂

          • Dr. Edward Richtofen

I wish I could go kill you ignorant bitch

          • Ivan

            Flagged! LoL

This one kid threatened to stab my asshole once for muting him in party chat on PS4

          • Dr. Edward Richtofen

            That’s gross

          • Dr. Edward Richtofen

lol nice I don’t care why don’t you just do the world a favor and go in your backyard and shoot yourself in the back of the head with a 12 gauge you bating internet warrior fuckboy

          • Dr. Edward Richtofen

            Typical Internet bastard

          • Kobrah

            Why would you flag that?

          • jordanxbrookes

You sound like such a lovely person.

          • Dr. Edward Richtofen

            You’re very annoying

          • Ivan

            And blocked! Haha

      • djml9

I dont understand this. Why do people say you dont have to aim in HC? You have to aim better in hardcore because if you miss, youre done for. HC is about speed, accuarcy, and outplaying your opponents. Core is more about luck and hoping one of your bullets gets a spontaneous damage boost.

        • Kobrah

You have to track your target in core, not just hit your first shot

          • djml9

HC is usually 2-3 bullets unless its a headshot or an already hurt enemy. You have to stick on them or else youll miss and likely die. In core, even if you track them perfectly, only like 20% of your bullets will make contact, and you still have the random damage model.

          • Kobrah

Exactly. You have to track them for longer, which takes more skill. Very few weapons are 3hc in HC

          • djml9

I dont see how that takes more skill than the speed, accuracy, and tactic necessary in hc. Like i said, at most, core takes DIFFERENT skills, not more.

And most smg’s take 3 shots, most ar’s take 2.

          • Awesomeman204

I reckon that both hardcore and core and hard and easy in their own respects i wouldn’t really say that one is eaiser or harder than the other

        • BudEagle

wrong. I’ve seen some hardcore players play core lol (i know not everyone is the same) and he was getting mad but we spectated him after we died in snd and he couldnt hit more than 1 bullet in a row and was wondering why he wasnt getting kills. I understand and and respect your opinion on HC but your opinion on Core is way wrong. Core has more emphasis on gun skill than HC but still maintains the need to be fast and to outplay your opponents. Positioning, especially behind head glitches for instance, is an important way to outplay by giving yourself an advantage in a gun fight. In black ops 3, movement is important in maneuvering through the map and for getting better angles on your enemies along with forcing them to be accurate as you make yourself a hard to hit moving target. It can also be a little difficult to keep an accurate shot while wall running or in mid air. Most of any sort of luck is based on internet but luck isnt absent in HC as you only need 1 or 2 bullets to hit for one thing and every other form of luck is found in both core and HC so the only things you can compare are aspects that are different.

      • BradyAlucard

Do we play the same game? It’s either the TTK or the way that players play for me.

        • djml9

Most people seem to think 5-10 bullets is fast TTK, and to their merit, it is, compared to halo’s 20-30.

        • BudEagle

sorry for the late response but yes we play the same game. I cant melt people in core as fast as i can get melted. If i miss shots, then i dont deserve the kill.

    • SimplexxityGamingOfficial

You’re probably one of those players that only play on HC that think they’re good but then play core and get shitted on every game. C’mon now man.

      • djml9

I play core and get like 10 hit markers just for them to do a 180 and 1-hit me with a pistol to the foot. Its annoying as hell and makes no sense. Peope dont eat bullets.

        • Former

It’s about the same in every CoD…Core takes more skill to get kills. The second you sprint into someone ADS in Hardcore, you’re fucked.

          • djml9

I dont understand how its more skill in core. Youget shot like 20 times then you just run off and heal. Or you spray towards your enemy and hope your randome recoil gets a headshot or a bullet gets a random damage boost. At MOST, it takes diferent skills, but not more skill. Like i said lower down, HC is about speed, accuracy, and outplaying your oponent. If you miss, youre dead. If you get caught off guard, your dead. You have to know the maps and you have to be precise. To me, that takes more skill, while core is alot more about luck.

          • Dr. Edward Richtofen

Hardcore is just spray around the corner

          • Former

Yeah. Easy to kill, easy to die. If you’re playing idiots, you can probably do a lot better in Hardcore, considering you’ll always be quicker than them.

  • Laddie

Lol that stream was an embarrassment and completely unnecessary

    • Element115Will

Why is that? Care to explain or are you just another #CoDplayerthatbitchesaboutanythingcodrelatedyetstillpaysactivisom

      • Laddie

Dude, did you even watch it? Technical difficulties left and right. Only guy to care about anything was Jason. Everything about Comic con or the new game mode could’ve had its own press release or trailer considering the stream was literally hours before Descent dropped. Im not hating on fuckin COD. I just simply stated a fact about the stream itself. Ease off the salt, cunt

      • Dr. Edward Richtofen

Damn are you on you’re period

  • Gollum

Really don’t understand what the fuck happened with the Black Ops 1 wager modes, wanted to see some of them return in Black Ops 3, or some kind of wager mode where you can bet your cryptokeys. So many missed opportunities, what happened to all that dynamic map crap? Map packs have been a real disappointment this year

    • Batman

      Exactly, really big backwards step

    • SimplexxityGamingOfficial

That’s what I said to my friends.

    • RdJokr

Vahn already said way back, Wager Matches for Cryptokeys = unhealthy for players. He already had to put up with supply drops, no way he’s gonna approve another gambling system.

      • Janie Scuderi

        <<o. ✸✸✸✸✸:✸✸✸✸✸:✸✸✸✸✸:✸✸✸✸✸:✸✸✸✸✸:✸✸✸✸✸:✸✸✸✸✸:✸✸✸✸✸:✸✸✸✸✸:✸✸✸✸✸:::::::!bw402p:….,.

      • BradyAlucard

Then don’t allow gambling and make them like BO2’s. Problem solved.

        • RdJokr

BO2 didn’t have Wager Matches, what are you talking about?

          • Dr. Edward Richtofen

Why are you such a smartass

          • Person

It would be unhealthy because you can technically buy cryptokeys. Buy COD Points, open SDs, burn dupes, get CKeys. Unlike the COD Points in BO1, the only way possible to earn them was to play the game.

          • BradyAlucard

It had modes from Wager Matches. That’s what I meant.

          • RdJokr

Not this again… Look, Vahn has already gone on record and say it. They’re not adding a bunch of new modes in, because every time they do, they split the player base. He talked about this during the DLC livestream. Hence why they wanted to be sure of their decision when adding Fracture, and only listing it in Bonus for now.

          • BradyAlucard

And yet Vahn also still hasn’t nerfed the Kuda, VMP, and Dingo yet, so why should I believe him? Especially when they can’t even show the player count. Players genuinely liked those modes. I wonder what his take on Arena is, since barely anyone plays it? Adorable.

          • RdJokr

LOL, you want those things nerfed? No, they’re fine where they are at. You nerf the VMP, then Kuda becomes top dog. You nerf Kuda, then either Vesper or Razorback takes top spot again. The cycle continues, with one weapon being bitched about after another. At this point, I wouldn’t expect crazy balancing changes, except maybe the RSA Interdiction.

And I find it adorable that you think Arena lacks players. Sure, it’s probably like that on Xbox and (especially) PC, but you can’t tell me none of the FaZe/Optic wannabes don’t tryhard their asses off on PS4.

          • BradyAlucard

The point of me saying that the Kuda and VMP were overpowered was because of the fact that I implied that they outclassed the other weapons. If Vonderhaar/Treyarch was actually paying attention and did what I think should be done, then we wouldn’t need to worry about the Vesper and Razorback, but if they wanted to make sure that the game WAS balanced (in which it’s not because of the Kuda and VMP), then why not nerf those weapons, too? There’s always a compromise, I don’t know why anyone can’t understand that. My point is is that they should do it because it’s gotten annoying at this point for me.

I wouldn’t know about the Arena userbase 100% objectively, because I can’t see the player count. I find it adorable that they’re forcing competitive into the game even though the majority of the consumers didn’t want it.

      • Gollum

How is it unhealthy for players? If wager matches for cryptokeys is unhealthy then competitive is unhealthy

        • RdJokr

Uhm, because it’s gambling? And your logic makes no sense.

  • adaptlos

last time i came this early there were only two genders.

    • What you looking at?

      ok

  • Thank. God. Ive been waiting for more game modes to drop. For some reason, I feel like theyre are less on this game than any other ones I played.

    • W1LL1AM04

They are not less, just less players playing many modes.

      • The game modes for all the multiplayers since mw2 (only including core modes) are :

        MW2-13
        BO-12(not including party games)
        MW3-12
BO2-9 (not including the party games or multi team)
        G-12
        AW-9
        BO3-10

So no, its not the least amount of any game, but at the same time, there are no real new modes. Outside of Safemode, kill confirmed, hardpoint, and uplink, weve been playing basically all the same games since MW2.

And yeah, every really only plays like 3 modes. They need to bring back some of the old good games, like Momentum, or cranked.

    • madshooterguy

Ghosts had way more gamemodes i believe…unpopulated but still

  • Robert Magana

They need to make a all Melee Weapons mode, then i’ll start using the Melee weapons

    • Dr. Edward Richtofen

That would be the worst thing ever just people camping with melee weapons

  • Mick

    Sounds pretty cool.

  • ToonToons22

They really should add in BO2 party game modes like One in the Chamber and Sticks and Stones. I believe they were going to at one point, what happened?

    • Sir no one

you mean black ops 1 idiot thats where it started not bo2

      • Person

Moron, did he say those game modes originated in BO2? No he didn’t. He said BO2 because they were in the game. Don’t call people an idiot for your stupidity

        • I Came In Like A Pokeball

I don’t think he meant they started with Black Ops 2. He basically was just saying Black Ops 2 had those modes and thought they were supposed to be added into Black Ops 3 at some point

          • JKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKCHJNOFTG

lmfao no hes too young to know about black ops 1

      • Holly Berwick

        Chill.

      • Xanivert

Lol calm down fool, not that serious

      • LadyRoulette

LMAO really? You didn’t get that his statement was implying a “carry over” of the games? haha wow… You are special 😉

  • Cool but where is all the party games from Black Ops 2

  • djml9

The pain of being a hardcore player. I never get to play fun modes the good way. Uplink and CTF are the only core modes that i like core, because dying in 1 hit with the flag/ball would suck.

  • jordanxbrookes

This is exactly Grind from Ghosts.

  • sounds like blitz too me, but well looks like i’ll play bo3 again after a month of absence lol

  • Anthony Mitchell

but they didnt bring back headquarters? -_-

  • joey

i would’ve already bought new maps had they come with new weapons (scratch that – new GUNS). that’s despite the weapons in this game being so very underwhelming – particularly the garbage they offer the minute chance of acquiring through their little gouging devices. as it stands, i’m actually grateful things are the way they are. i feel no compulsion to return to what is, in my opinion, the most lackluster, low-quality installment of the COD series – a game that’s dwarfed by advanced warfare in almost every regard.

  • Eddie Tupy

kinda like halo reachs headhunter mode. That was a good mode

Also i like how they have a featured mode that goes on top so people are more inclined to play it instead of tdm all day

  • Joker

Do we really need another mode right now, I mean, unless everyone is pretty sure it will be a populated room. This ‘new’ mode is basically the same one that is in Battlefield Hardline, where you take cash and transfer it to your teams safe, and it went over fairly well in Hardline, I’m just not too sure though that adding another mode is going to increase overall player numbers, or thin them out even more from the other modes. An example, I haven’t been able to get in a ‘Ground war’ round at all since I got this game, and I have a lot of hours in this silly game. There are other modes as well I haven’t had the pleasure to play in this adaption of COD, simply because TDM and Domination attract the largest of the player base. It’s just a concern to me, even though the mode sounds fun, that it will thin out everyone even more than it is right now as it is.

  • NiggazWitoutAttitudes

Please could we get some love for hardcore players who wanna play moshpit? Is it really so much to ask for?

And the party modes that we’ve been asking for since launch?
