Give me your thoughts on these new maps fellas.

Which ones you like? & Which ones you don’t like?… (I have to wait 30 days)

    • jordanxbrookes

Rumble is my favourite in this map pack; reminds me of Grind, Rush and Core rolled into one, Empire is my second favourite; 90% of the time it plays like Raid, then it’s Cryogen and my least favourite is Berserk. Gorod Krovi is fun to play on, nothing extremely overly complex like Zetsubou No Shima and reminds me of Die Rise mixed with Vendetta. Only thing I hate is the flying robots. Inb4 some Zombies sweat tells me my opinion is invalid because “those flying robots are part of the storyline”.

      • lol Jordan u fgt, i told u when we were playing it that Rumble is good and u were hating on it for 2 lanes xD

      • FazalGaming (Jordan’s A Vegan)

        Girls find me repulsive.

      • I hate how you cant have a negative opinion on anything zombies related. I’m a huge fan of zombies and storyline until now. The storyline is dead to me. It’s ridiculous now, it needs to die. And Treyarch has gone overboard with gimmicks honestly. Gorod Krovi could have been a really spooky map or even similar to likes of Mob of the Dead. But i guess flying drones, robots, and dragons were better.

I thought Jason was supposed to save the story and make it better, not stupid…it’s a shame because he made Mob of the Dead and Origins
        “but but meh storyline “

        • jordanxbrookes

          We need Zielinski back.

          • Honestly, with what Jason has done to the story and maps with this game, I want Zielinski back too. It’s a shame, I praised Jason so highly for Mob of the Dead and Origins and how he has made Zombies really great again, then he threw that all away with this game.

Only goofy thing I remember from Zielinski is Buried, i regret hating on him back in BO2

          • FazalGaming (Jordan’s A Vegan)

The best zombies map in my opinion is Tranzit. No map will ever beat it.

          • TranZit #1

          • BradyAlucard

Buried is awesome. It’s so fun, and had great ideas for mechanics.

          • I like buried, it was a good, easy fun map. My only problem was how goofy it was. Too many gimmicks

          • Michael Romo

            Not Tranzshit

          • That’s not the only map he made, so there is that

          • BradyAlucard

I found Black Ops 2’s to be more fun than 1’s, IDK about 3’s.

          • BradyAlucard

And I’m pretty shocked with how BO3’saps have been received so far. As a story buff, I would have thought that you would have liked the Cthuhlu stuff.

          • Dr. Edward Richtofen

            Fuck zielinski he made tranzit

        • Michael Romo

Wtf? This zombies storyline is way better than the original. The G1 characters’ sorry was really stupid and there was no point to it. Blundell had made the zombies storyline much better because each of these characters actually have something going on in their lives. BO2 zombies sucked because the whole story was pointless. The BO2 characters were just pawns for Maxis and Richthofen and it should have never even existed. It was basically a very long prologue to the BO1 story, which was stupid in itself. If you’re truly a zombies storyline fan, you should see that the story is better, but the maps are getting a little ridiculous. Like in Gorod Krovi, I feel like it’s getting more and more like Exo Zombies with the extra events and stuff.

          • No. The storyline is not better at all. Its ridiculous nonsense ontop of ridiculous nonsense of course there is always fanboys like you grasping at straws to defend this over the top storyline, but that’s cool

“If you’re truly a zombies storyline fan, youll see that this is better”

Lol fuck off. Just fuck off

          • BradyAlucard

The implementation of Cthuhlu in Shadows of Evil was the most interesting thing I’ve ever seen in BO3. All of a sudden it got more mysterious, weird, and more creative and messed up overall. Hopefully DLC 4 will help your narrative itch, because I genuinely feel bad that you spent $45-50 only to be disappointed by filler as far as the storyline goes, because the past 4 maps have, really, mainly been for the same goal every time with sprinkles of Black Ops 2 mechanics here and there. In terms of gameplay and overall content, I’ve been satisfied, and impressed.

          • Shadows of Evil did it best i agree with the Cthuhlu and whatnot, but after that, it went down hill

          • BradyAlucard

Black Ops 2 had the most fun maps to me. I don’t worry about Easter Eggs, I look up the lore online.

      • Dr. Edward Richtofen

But they are part of the story

      • Siftblade

I prefer dogs over anything flying too. At least robots and armored zombies are way cooler than bugs that shoot snot and giant squids though

        • BradyAlucard

And their inclusions are going to make the Black Ops Zombies series far more interesting going forward. The whole point of these maps were to lead up to DLC 4, and I hope that it’ll be the best one yet. Black Ops 3’s maps have been my favorite as far as gameplay goes. Shadows of Evil is my favorite map ever in terms of that universe/dimension.

          • Siftblade

Well the DLC3 easter egg was completed and it said

            *
            *
            *
            *
            ****SPOILERS****
            *
            *
            *
            *

“TO BE CONCLUDED…” I’m guessing it’s going to be good if it’s wrapping up the entire storyline. Plus it’s called Revelations and it’s written in the same font as Origins was, so probably a sequel to Origins which would be awesome.

          • BradyAlucard

That’s neat, I hope more weird and messed up stuff happens. Zombies haven’t had “horror” as terrifying as Lovecraft’s stories. It should be dark and twisted and I hope that they start bringing Cthulhu back.

      • djml9

        How is Zetsubou overly complex?

        • Siftblade

Way too much setup was required, planting was tedious, and a lot of stuff relied on luck instead of skill. Plus even after playing it multiple times, it just feel unnecessarily complicated

          • djml9

Unlocking PaP is pretty difficult, but i can usually get to the power by round 3. The planting isnt integral at all. I just plant whenever i pass a spot and open one whenever i pass it.

      • Michael Romo

The flying robots are easy to kill tho. Why do you hate them?

        • BradyAlucard

If they continue the Cthuhlu elements, we might have to fight gods in the future.

      • BradyAlucard

I’ve only played it once so my thoughts may change, but it felt like an Advanced Warfare map in terms of first impressions.

    • CheEsEToUcH666

i just like how pretty the graphics look. it’s no battlefield, but it’s the best of call of duty so far.

      • Dr. Edward Richtofen

        Battlefield is no rainbow 6

      • BradyAlucard

The graphics are some of the best that I’ve seen this generation so far, but I’m a sucker for PBR. Battlefield has an engine that’s overhauled with any graphical effect that you can think of.

    • Best to Worst (in my opinion)
      1. Empire (The first remake Treyarch did right.)
      2. Rumble (What Jordan said)
      3. Berserk ( I has some done moves)
      4. Cryogen (Nothing special)

Gorod Krovi My first match went to round 25 It was a blast. The weapons are amazing.

So far it is the best DLC that has come out. The first two were ok at best.

      • BradyAlucard

I love all of the Zombies maps in BO3 and I’m satisfied as a consumer who mainly buys CoD for Zombies nowadays.

        • I like them to. The Iron Dragon was good, Zetsubou No Shima was fun as well. It’s the multiplayer part that I thought was mediocre.

          • BradyAlucard

            Oh. LOL

I thought DLC 2 was decent overall as far as Multiplayer goes. I mainly like Skyjacked in DLC 1. Thought you were only talking about Zombies.

    • Siftblade

      Best to Worst

      1. Empire (best remake yet)
      2. Berserk (small, fast, and fun)
      3. Cryogen (Nothing special but it plays decent)
      4. Rumble (looks pretty but has no flow at all. Very chaotic, reminds me of an AW map. And the robots don’t even move)

Gorod Krovi is easily 10x better than SOE and Zetsubou. Personally I like Der Eisendrach just a little better, but if you aren’t a big fan of building bows/staffs, this is the map for you.

Overall (MP + Zombies combined), I think this is the best DLC yet.

      • BradyAlucard

I felt the same about Rumble. I find it so silly that Activision doesn’t invest into physics in their games as much as they should. They don’t even need to be significant, just not gimmicky.

      • ccrows

Thanks Sift and everyone else for taking the time to comment. 🙂

Sounds like “Rumble” was a missed opportunity with the robots not moving.

^ I remember in BO2 with the containers changing places (which was awesome playing Dom) but nothing this time around. Oh well.

At least most people are praising Empire, which map remakes seem to usually fail to live up to the OG…

    • TheHorror

Empire is pretty damn good, pretty much the only remake so far that plays like the original map. Rumble is decent. Cryogen is the big wall-run/parkour map, but is ok. Berserk is the only map that pisses me off because i constantly am getting shot in the back and flanked. Haven’t gotten a chance to play Gorod yet.

    • djml9

Empire is the same as raid. plays exactly like it.

Berserk is ok. Mostly the same 2-3 firefights over and over.

Dislike rumble very much. Way too many super long sight lines.

Havent gotten to play on cryogen yet.

  • FazalGaming (Jordan’s A Vegan)

    I’m a virgin.

  • Amro Amin

Is the easter egg for zombies been figured out yet?

  • CheEsEToUcH666

i like how they don’t even hide the Advance Warfare-like looking exo-suit outfit in the second picture. I wouldn’t be surprised if people were triggered by it.

It would be more honest from him to actually say all that.

  • Michael Romo

I don’t get the point of these screenshots when we can just play the maps

    • Former

      Xbox players..?

      • There’s 1000’s of gameplay videos on YouTube. Why look at some screenshots when you can see the actual game.

        • Former

          Pictures are sexier.

  • Sentinel

I played zombies but the players i get matched up with are retarded…cool ass map thoe

  • Andrey Martim

Playd the maps already, here are my considerations:

Cryogen: Reminds me of Spire, very good map with inside combat. Wallrun is very useful to fast deployment between objectives.

Empire: Works well on BO3. However, I think it is most a straight-on port of Raid, instead of an adaptation like Verge, Skyjacked or Nuk3town. There is very few wallrun spots, for example.

Rumble: Good map with long sightlines. The left lane is very thin, so the combat gets indoors or in the Robot Arena, kinda remind me of Cliffside/Hazard.

Berserk: Small map, lots of wallrun spots and funneling places. Great map to run/gun with SMG’s.

    Best DLC so far.

  • lunator100hd .

Can anyone give me an idea for how complicated the new zombie map is? I have only played SoE and its too much for me, do i have any chance to enjoy Gorod Krovi?

    • Gorod is less complicated than SoE.

      • lunator100hd .

How easy it is to get perks, puck n punch and that crazy akimbo gun?

        • Siftblade

Perks are bought normally and found by opening doors, the akimbo gun is just in the box, and PAP requires you to kill zombies in 3 locations then fly to PAP.

          • lunator100hd .

That simple? i may actually buy this one.

          • Siftblade

Yeah, it’s a really simple map. The EE is tough but 100% unnecessary and they don’t give you many rewards (unlike Der Eisendrache that gave you upgraded bows along the way), mostly just for story. There is like a mini survival challenge in the PAP room (completely optional) that unlocks an airstrike for you if you want that, but that’s about as complicated as it gets.

        • I haven’t done most of those, but I would recommend checking out a youtube review and walkthrough of the map since I don’t know shit about the map and I want to experience the entire map by myself.

    • Siftblade

It’s less complicated then Der Eisendrache, SoE, and ZnS. SoE was the most complicated out of all of them, this is far less.

  • PSN is down, maybe this is what poodlecorp were hinting at when they said they were gonna hack big things this week.

  • ShadowReaperJr.

those are some beautiful PC screenshots right there!
