Why they wasting money for the cast, nobody gives a f*ck about this shit, they should make sure to hire the best servers for the game instead.

Not trolling when it’s the truth.

    • jordanxbrookes

They could spend their millions on upgrading servers or forking out for a new engine so the franchise can do so much better, but no, lets spend the Supply Drop money on celebrities to try and get people to buy this trash. I just hope this benefits the Campaign because the Multiplayer is definitely out the window.

      • BradyAlucard

To be fair they’ve upgraded the engine significantly since Ghosts, and thankfully Treyarch got rid of frame rounding, a problem that plagued CoD for years.

        • jordanxbrookes

I’ll give Treyarch credit, removing frame rounding was a good thing.

          • Whaaat

            Whats frame rounding?

          • RdJokr

            Basically, it’s like this:

The engine uses frames as a reference for pretty much everything, which
is fine when everybody runs the game at the same frame-rate – which is
why you haven’t noticed it on console (which runs, for the most part, at
60 FPS). On PC, you obviously have a range of FPS depending on
settings/hardware, which presents a problem largely for weapon balancing
            – as a gun that fires at 700 RPM at 60 FPS (as they planned), may shoot
at different speeds at different FPS.

A better example would be the EM1 in AW. This gun used to be 100% dependent on frames, meaning the more frame rates you have, the better the gun is. So you can imagine why it’s such a problem on PC.

Removing frame rounding means the guns will work as intended at all frame rates, and that we won’t get another case of the EM1.

          • BradyAlucard

It’s the best thing they’ve done to CoD’s engine. Unfortunately I’m not sure if Infinity Ward has done it yet, although they probably have. I personally think BO3 is the best CoD since BO1.

    • CoDforever

Nah im sorry, but the campaign for IW still looks amazing

      • jordanxbrookes

I think what he was implying is that we don’t care about celebrities as characters in Call of Duty. I agree that Infinite Warfare’s Campaign looks to be great, but they shouldn’t need to spend thousands on an all-star cast to show great storytelling, when not only did those 2 ex-Naughty Dog developers prove this with The Last of Us and Uncharted, but also previous Call of Duty games have proved this. If it doesn’t benefit the story, then it’s pointless imo, especially when guys like Conor McGregor and Lewis Hamilton are only in the game to promote it to a wider audience. Just like last year for Black Ops 3 with Marshawn Lynch, he barely played any part in the story, but was only used to promote it to his fans.

    • TyrannoCyrus Rex

It’s genuinely simple. It’s a marketing investment. More people watch F1 than almost anything, except in America, because we’re an embarrassment to the international racing world. With this exposure, many, MANY people who don’t give a DAMN about COD are going to buy it. They make money. Money over everything, how is this even a surprise at this point?

      • Alex

America is like this isolated hillbilly shithole with horrible sports(that nobody plays) shit food (the food is dog shit) fat ugly people and absolutely zero knowledge about the rest of the world.

BTW wtf is he doing in this game really who cares

        • TyrannoCyrus Rex

The beautiful irony of this comment is the fact that it is fully characteristic of the stereotypical picture you painted of Americans – well done roasting yourself.

And BTW, I think I spelled that out too: F1 fans, of which there are more than COD fans, and they are not typically groups that mix, so they are investing in a wider audience.

    • Rorke File

I liked characters like Price and Soap etc. More than famous people.

    • Partyin’ Pete

Because just throwing money at them makes it better? I’m sure there people constantly working on it around the clock in a completely seperate department from Single Player stuff. I’m not sure what Corporate game design is like (9 to 5-esque schedules?) but it isn’t like they just kick back after they launch the beta and just figure it’ll all work out right. Shit is worked on in-house, they don’t just buy every little asset, you know?

  • He plays a side character who dies bet

  • scrotesmd

Why oh why Activision??? Sure get Donald trump why don’t you

  • Jhonatan Orlando Ferro

Money for a celeb cast, but money for servers and a good game nothing….

    • Partyin’ Pete

Yep, they spent Every Penny of their budget on a couple actors. I do wish they’d open a Server Browser something like Battlefield, though. Maybe one day πŸ™

  • Even with all these celebrities cucks, this campaign will probably flop. You don’t need celebrities to make a good, memorable campaign. Call of Duty 4 will prove that to you.

    run n tell that

    • CoDforever

Nah this campaign is going to be amazing, especially with Ex Naughty Dog devs making it

      • Rorke File

        They joined in late.

        • CoDforever

what? The joined InfinityWard 6 months after ghosts and have been developing it for over 2 years ..

    • Edward Richtofen Adolf is bae

I liked it better when it wasn’t a celebrity and it was a random soldier not a real one but still it was better the best celebrity imo was Sgt. Foley forgot his name

    • DeadZombieGaming 12

Kill me with your pitchforks, but i did not like CoD 4 campaign. Only missions i liked were All Ghillied Up and the first ship mission.
But the characters weren’t nothing new and it wasn’t even good.
Just cover shooting evil bad goons with characters that had the personality of a rock, that tries to be alive…

      inb4 killed in sleep

  • The Rabid One

And zero F*cks were still given.

  • ben wills

Damn they really don’t care about quality anymore

  • bre

    who?

  • RdJokr

This guy is gonna be the Marshawn Lynch of IW. Probably just standing in the background working some shit out, or he gets offed early.

  • TechaGek.

Really looking forward to the campaign, the multiplayer just looks as generic as every other years instalment. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it sorta feels like a Black Ops 3 Expansion Pack. I just hope good character development is there to support the story.
