UPDATE — Jan. 13 at 9:50PM PT: An addition playlist update has gone live on PS4 and Xbox One to fix some of the bugs that were found with the latest update. Patch notes:

  • Fix for Cryo Mines not functioning properly
  • Fix for some Killstreaks not damaging enemy players

A new playlist update for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is now live on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The update brings many weapon updates and changes, alongside other bug fixes and more.

PATCH NOTES:

General Fixes:

  • Slight increase in Black Hole radius
  • Players who deploy a Black Hole will receive assists if an enemy is killed while being pulled in
  • Competitive playlist rules and maps have been adjusted to match CWL (PS4/Xbox)
  • Added the map Grounded back into rotation
  • Players receive assists if the enemy the Seeker Grenade is tracking is killed
  • Increases to Micro Turret health, ammunition, and fire rate
  • Infected:
    • If a player waits to spawn in to avoid being the first Infected, they’ll be forced to Infected
    • Fixed an issue where the first Infected wasn’t getting the proper score or XP for the first kill
    • Kills/Deaths are no longer stored after a match so KD is not affected
    • Boost jump recharge is now slower
  • Gun Game:
    • Increased the throw distance for the Bio Spike
    • Kills/Deaths are no longer stored after a match so KD is not affected
  • Added a Mission Team option in the lobby so players can change mission teams without leaving a lobby
  • Fixed an issue where the player couldn’t capture the next Hardpoint if they are in a Scorestreak
  • Fixed an issue where the Hardpoint was being contested but the icon was in a red capture state
  • Howitzer headshots were not counting towards camo unlocks. This has been fixed
  • Fix for available Payloads such as Reactive Armor requiring another score update after round switch to re-earn
  • Killcams now show Traits, Tacticals, and Lethals
  • Reduced recoil of the R3K when zoomed in using the VMC
  • Slight increase to Quick Draw speed with snipers
  • OSA Launcher: Updated inner and outer damage, and damage radius to reduce lethality in Tactical TDM
  • Howitzer: slight adjustment to increase lethal radius and overall radius. Increase projectile speed and reduced projectile up velocity to help with targeting
  • Fix for the Hit ad Run Gun Perk on the Epic Kendall-44 showing as an attachment in the weapon name
  • SMGs: Increased hip aim assist range to 800 inches. Increased ADS aim assist range to 1400 inches
  • FHR 40 and RPR Evo: Increased ADS aim assist range to 1200 inches
  • MacTav-45: Increased ADS aim assist range to 1500 inches
  • Shotguns: Increased hip and ADS aim assist ranges to 600 inches matching the max damage range
  • Fix for an exploit where using the Killstreak map could be used every round as a free UAV
  • Fix for the “A” bombsite on Retaliation that would cause a player to unintentionally move when next to the bombsite
  • Fix for the “Out of Bounds” that would trigger when near the theater and bowling alley on Throwback
  • Updated the start spawn for Precinct Hardpoint and Uplink
  • 15 spots on Rooftop near Drop Pods and Construction have been fixed
  • Scorch “B” bombsite moved to the back of the drill (from attacker side)

CWL/CODCASTER:

  • Fix for an error when attempting to change team colors, name, and icon
  • Removed Payload delay at the start of a round
  • Active Camo duration has been reduced from 10s to 5s
  • Reactive Armor duration has been reduced from 9s to 6s
  • Bull Charge duration has been reduced from 6.5s to 5s
  • Reactive Armor value slightly lowered
  • Rewind: Only Rewinds a portion of the player’s health. Still rewinds full ammo
  • Overdrive: No longer restores player health on activation
  • Holding the Uplink drone or planting/defusing in CWL rulesets no longer drain your Payload faster as the base duration times have been adjusted
  • Removed Killstreak spawn protection

            Trophy system/Trophy drone/Blast shield/Centurion. There’s plenty ways to deal with it. And that’s cause there’s tons of explosives in this game. It’s pretty fairly balanced even for when playing with/against demolition style players. I love to blow shit up.

      Considering that health is reduced in TTDM, I don’t see why it shouldn’t get a nerf, especially given how easy it is to get one free kill with it (two even, if you manage to pick up an OSA with an unused grenade somewhere).

        There is so much wrong with that, and if its a “free kill” according to your logic, then why do specialists still exists?

        On top of that, there is a perk in this game to counter explosives. Trophy systems, even a rig has a portable one! Nerfing it made zero sense.

          I mean, you know, in TTDM everything kills faster, almost on HC level, so without some kind of change, the OSA tube would be MW2 level of OP, even with just one shell.           Though tbh, I question why the tube was put in there in the first place. Was the ARX + tube a popular combo back in the Ghosts days or something?

          • No, the tube before the nerf was nowhere near MW2 teir even in TTDM. It’s impossible for it to be even close consider the tools you have in this game and how limited tubes are. But even damage wise, no.

            And I tweeted Joe about it asking the reasoning behind it because it makes zero sense, probably won’t get a reply though. And to my knowledge I don’t remember an ARX with a tube combination being the popular thing back in Ghosts. Tubes have been average or below average since after the MW2 days anyway

            Yes, Infinity Ward has improved, and it’s absolutely ridiculous to me that you think that they’ve “gotten worse”. By that logic, Treyarch got worse because lag got worse after every update and caused more frame rate issues and glitches, which is true. It happens to their games, too and they always fix things like that likely in the next patch, so yeah, I definitely think they’ve improved now they have a new executive producer. Ghosts was so bad in its life cycle they rarely supported the game besides DLC, and every time they updated it the game got worse as well. At least IW has far better maps and it’s designed much better.

            MW3 was definitely not a “godsend”. It was broken when it was the current CoD compared to this game. It was the worst CoD ever, far worse than IW. What’s worse than Deathstreaks? Or IED’s in Ghosts? There’s no design problems in IW that are nearly that bad. Anyway, if you noticed the trend of me talking about CoD’s being better after their life cycles end, it’s because I’ve recently noticed that. It happened to Ghosts and AW and it seems like IW will be the same way. They actually feel like fun games now, I mean have you tried Strikezone 24/7 in Ghosts? It’s all I play and I can’t play anything else.

            Except I never Treyarch or saints nor did I say they are perfect. I criticized my favorite dev team plenty of times. But at the end of the day Black Ops 3 is a great game and they are the best dev team that has improved over the years. At least Black Ops 3 launched completed and it was game stacked with content.             Ghosts perks system is entirely different. Field orders were great. The squad points were cool, the prestige system was pretty different. The map based killstreaks and events. Extinction. Many more. Ghosts was actually unique. Unlike Infinite Warfare which takes every idea from Treyarch.

            Also, Black Ops 3 didn’t really change much. It took every idea from Black Ops 2 (which isnt bad) and took ideas from Titanfall and Destiny. Stop saying these last three games are innovating. Because they arent

    Has anyone noticed the massive Nerf to the T.H.O.R I can’t even get a single kill with the thing even with 3 direct hits, yes I said three! I tried using it in three two separate maps and got direct hits every time, but no kills, zero kills with the T.H.O.R since the update today… SMH

      Just bad luck/lag on your part, I was wrecking with the T.H.O.R. earlier today on Terminal.

      With that said, the T.H.O.R. will never be as beastly as an AC-130…

      Yes, it was broken the last day. They just patched it this morning/last night to fix it.

      it affects almost every lethal scorestreaks in the game. It’s probably just a glitch. But until its fixed, use non-lethal scorestreaks

    How about fix shoot first die first issues? Ever since this update rolled out, i cant kill anthing. I went from averageing 15 kills per round to 9 now. I used the scarab and on several occasions it didnt kill the enemy players. I unloaded the claw in someone at point blank range and still freaking died. I started to slay in this game. Last week I has a game where i went 28/10 and now im barely breaking 9 or 10 kills per game. Also guns feel like they’ve been nerfed in a serious way.

    “Boost recharge is now slower” in Infected. Yea, sure that makes sense /s. How about adding that in all the core game modes in multiplayer(especially with the Synaptic rig).

    Bro wjat about the sniping community? Only, sleight increase of quickdraw like come on. All these buffs for other things. Also, they need to fix the synaptic hitbox, I swear. Their hitbox is so jacked up. All in all, I know theyre trying and Im thankful, just keep balancing out the game thank you 🙂

            That the game is bad? That’s your opinion. It’s actually not even close to being one of the worst CoDs. I think someone who’s played the game a lot has more weight than someone who probably just played the beta and gave up on it.

            It killed the community because of the massive hate train that happened before the game was even released. Then thousands of people actually started playing it and giving it a chance and they enjoyed it, like myself.

            You can talk about sales all you want, but they mean nothing when it comes to how good a game is. MW3 had the most sales by far yet it was not the best CoD.

            Not even close, I swapped to 360 in June during mw3 and there was 350000 playing.             Sales aren’t everything. AW got more sales than IW, yet AW was garbage in almost every aspect. It’s the same with anything entertainment-related. You think every song on the top 10 charts is good? Lmfao. Not in the slightest. Popularity does not equal quality – that’s a pretty basic concept to understand for anyone without their head up their ass.

They are based on streaming and radio play.. but anyhow, a game of quality will sell, if IW had any quality it would of picked up sales after release instead of ending up in the <$20 bargain bin 6 weeks after release. It's currently £18.50 in the U.K. And that's not on sale it's the regular price. Everyone (except CI fankids like you) know it's sub par trash
