    First… 🙂

  • Chaorro

Please no supply drops, please no supply drops, please no supply droppppppss.

    • Supply drops are 100%. It’s a part of COD now as sad as that is. Sorry.

    • ccrows

At this point bro, you might as well root for “salvage” or a friendlier system.

Heck, I’ll setting for the way it’s handled in MWR…

      • Chaorro

They put supply drops in mwr? wtf.

    • jordanxbrookes

Sorry, Supply Drops will be in this game and the game after that.

    • The9tailedgamer

I hate to say it, but all we can really do is accept our new lords, the supply drops

  • ccrows

    @Pics 2 & 3

    Speakeasy confirmed… 😉

    • Tao

Only in supply drops tho lol

      • ccrows

        🙂

  • Element115Will

It’s pretty amazing how many people bash sledgehammer games when in reality they listen to the community. Everyone wanted change so they invented the EXO suit and bitched about it. Now they are bringing World War II back and i am gonna bet my ass, people will still bitch!

    • Chaorro

The only thing that will make me bitch is if they bring back supply drops. If they get rid of supply drops or atleast make it so they only contain cosmetic items, they will have my respect again. Till they get rid of supply drops I refuse to play another CoD game, wont buy it even if it comes with remastered MW2

      • Tested

I agree, they either remove supply drops, or make the game free and add supply drops. Not acceptable to buy a game at full price and not get all the content.

      • Elite Predator

Bro, look closely at what the webite says!! It literally says “sign up to receive in game loot such as calling cards” Supply drops are confirmed and it’s right under our eyes.

        • Chaorro

a calling card is not a supply drop, calling cards are those little banners you can change that show when you kill someone and those have been in the game since MW2

          • Elite Predator

In-game loot “such as calling cards” is what it says. Although you’re right in a way. The word “loot” has been popping up in video games that I been playing recently over the years and such as Destiny, had a sort of am RNG Lott system. Cod has supply drops. But the word “loot” is originally been used in Diablo and I’m sure there’s other games. So that’s must been where I got confused.

    • ccrows

“when in reality they listen to the community.”

^ You must have forgotten SH’s insanely high SBMM setting in AW, and Condrey’s “Fireside chat” that SBMM is staying in the game… (even though the community as a whole wanted it out)

    • ccrows

      *Real Talk*

If Condrey uses a much toned down SBMM setting, a friendly SD system (Salvage preferred), and a decent TTK (AKA not melty). Then I’m pretty much on board, and will praise it.

Condrey claims that, “He’s learned from his mistakes in AW”.

^ We’ll see if that actually happens… *shrugs*

      • BradyAlucard

I just don’t want any SBMM at all.

        • ccrows

I mean, every COD uses SBMM on some level, it’s when they use it at the highest priority that ****es the community off.

People should never be matched up with each other across the globe… (especially in the year 1 life cycle)

          • BradyAlucard

We’ve never seen it gone entirely. I wonder what would happen? Every lobby I play in has a similar KD to me in every CoD game so that’s true, I’m just tired of the sweats. The e-Sports bias and sweaty players really threw me off of CoD.

          • ccrows

“We’ve never seen it gone entirely. I wonder what would happen?”

^ In something like say FFA? Nothing. It would pretty much stay the same as it is now.

However, anything else, (assuming no parties) it would “try” to split up the SPM players into fair teams…

          • BradyAlucard

The lobbies should just be random and if we play against 6 KD players then so be it. lol

Gaming’s about fun not getting paired with try hards every game. It’s just rage-inducing unfortunately. Maybe AW didn’t have SBMM who knows? There was just something that made that game more sweaty than any other CoD, same thing with BO3. It might just be that players are getting better but point is is that I just want to play a game without worrying about stats and the rare super duper ultra competitive lobby that’s fun every once and a while. If I wanted competitive, I’d play another game.

      • SPAWNST4R

        utter BullShit,

Sledgehammer introduced or added in nearly all the things that people hate about CoD, Deathstreaks, supply drops, weapon variants, Jetpack Boost jumping, SBMM, possibly the worst lag comp seen in an FPS (MW3) and they made the least sucessful cod until IW (AW) all you fanboi idiots who think just because they say “boots on the ground” this game will instantly be good are delusional and need a reality check. It will suck just like the other current gen CoDs, and before someone jumps in and says “BO3” was good, No it wasn’t. being “not as bad as Ghosts and AW” isn’t the same as being good..

    • BradyAlucard

AW was a good game at its core, they just made some mistakes with the design of the game and the community just spammed the movement over and over. They’ve always been a talented team, pretty much as good as Treyarch in my eyes. Infinity Ward too.

      • The main problem was that they didn’t build the guns or maps around the new movement system in Advanced Warfare. It seems as though they just tacked on the movement as an afterthought to make gameplay seem “fresh and innovative”. That’s why multiplayer was such a chaotic, frustrating mess. Luckily they can’t mess that up with this game so I have high hopes that it will at least be decent.

        • Sexy Mcgee

This is exactly how I feel about AW. I actually like it at it’s core. Playing it, the peaks are higher than any of the current gen COD’s but the troughs can get lower than any of them as well.

        • The9tailedgamer

And to support that, not only does it feel natural to play a full game without using the movement, there are ladders EEEEEEVERYYYYYYYYWHERRRRRRRRE. It really does seem like they made the advanced movement last

      • André Morais

Infinity Ward just sucked once the old time split into other studios. Infinity Ward makes a lot of scripting mistakes on campaigns, i hate some of their level designs and I hate how morbid their past few games look. Its just my opinion tho.

        • Issam Nasiri

I thought that the campaigns were pretty good. unlike the campaign from BO3 🙂

        • BradyAlucard

Yeah, I do agree with you. In my opinion I think they are just as good as the other studios since they’re AAA and their credentials have to be but they were just stumped with an era that stripped CoD away from its identity.

      • Qaotik

        True

    • I still prefer Treyarch.

      • ccrows

At least I can trust Treyarch (because Vahn), but I’m willing to Condrey a second chance, and hope that he actually “listens” to the community this time…

    • David

Do I count as ‘everyone’? I didn’t ask for change…and I sure as heck didn’t ask for jetpacks or super powers in Call of Duty.

      • Jayb0n3rluvsu

        No you count as ‘nobody’

      • Element115Will

Nah. Youre a very rare kind of guy. I respect you. 🙂

    • Qaotik

You say that, but they refused to alter the matchmaking in AW. Just saying

    • Pi Natra

      They can’t make shooters

  • Tao

So far so good 4 me. Hope they will be able earn back the dislikes they ate from the IW trailer

    • BradyAlucard

It’ll still get dislike spammed. It’s CoD, it has the worst reputation in gaming history.

      • EgemenAydos

Not as much as IW tho

        • BradyAlucard

Of course, but I won’t be surprised if it has half likes and dislikes and people complain that they’re “copying Battlefield 1” despite them not knowing about that game until 2016 and they always had the setting in mind since AW and the WWII content in that game (guns and character skins).

I can see the cancer already.

          • OuTeRhEaVeN

            Fucking true!!

  • Aidan

I’m excited to see what SHG has to bring to the table. I really enjoyed Advanced Warfare, and in my honest opinion, it’s a classic. Good maps, fast gameplay, great campaign, and the sound design…God damn, don’t even get me started on the sound design…Sure, it had it’s flaws, but all everything has flaws. Sledgehammer games is a great studio full of fantastic people, and I cannot wait to see what they’ve got for us.

    • ccrows

Good to see you in a good mood… 🙂

      • Aidan

        Today’s a good day

  • Tested

These must be cinematic screenshots? Look pretty good but i would find it hard to believe that these are gameplay screenshots.

  • AlexK489

So it’s just a really pretty version of the same shit we played 10 years ago? Cool. So different.

    • ccrows

Updated graphics, + different dev which will “probably” be different gameplay…

      • AlexK489

By different of course, we’re talking about taking most of the gameplay mechanics back to a time where everyone was sitting in buildings and huts, sniping in tall grass or camping on a cliff on the edge of a map and making all of our soldiers look like the same dudes in bland olive drab camo using the same guns we used 10 years ago

    • Aidan

I bet you’re one of the people who complained about the futuristic titles.

      • AlexK489

Actually no, i don’t mind the setting cause each futuristic title that came out had something different to it that the previous one didn’t. That’s what’s kept me liking the futuristic titles in the long run.

        • Aidan

          Fair enough.

          • OuTeRhEaVeN

Well I hate all Treyarch’s games. Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer games are the best studios for me.

    • Durrsly

They tried to change up the gameplay with the expanded mobility and then there was backlash over it.

      • AlexK489

So making the game a slow camp fest again is the answer?

    • BradyAlucard

The last time you wanted something “different” you got AW. Stop being such a spoiled brat.

      • AlexK489

But going back to the same shit that not only CoD did some 10+ years ago but every major FPS genre under the sun did to the point where it was completey oversaturated is the answer?

        • BradyAlucard

No, I’m not saying that at all because I agree with you. But my main point is that that’s what we got the last time we wanted change, and the fact that the only information we have is that there’s no jetpacks. That’s literally it. The rest is up to the creativity and imagination of the developers. Also TBF some people brought up a great point that the jetpack games were relatively similar/copy and pastes of each other as well.

The debate is how much should they change so that they don’t strip away CoD’s identity again but also so that it’s not just a copy and paste of the CoD 4 engine?

    • jordanxbrookes

      Edgy.

      • AlexK489

Glad you think i’m edgy for hoping for something different. Cool

  • Oh, Big Red One once more? Hmmmm…..

  • Tao

I just saw the patch in the arm of the soldier is the big red one which is the nickname for the 1st infantry division which participated in battles and operations like the invasion of sicily, d-day OMAHA, saint-lo, battle of bulge.
I just wanna kiss michael condrey

    • The9tailedgamer

I think every cod fan wants to kiss michael right now, lets be honest here

  • Ptrain727

Unrelated: when you click on an image why does it redirect to the article again?

    • ccrows

Try a different browser. (or maybe you’re on mobile)

I’m able to enlarge any of the 3 pics… *shrugs*

      • what

yea def mobile. or at least iphone. everytime i try to open pics with safari on iphone it redirects me to the article

  • jordanxbrookes

I haven’t been this excited for CoD in years. Can’t wait for the reveal on Wednesday!

    • ccrows

I’m mildly optimisic. I already drank the hype kool-aid from AW.

I’m hyped for Condrey answering the SBMM question before launch more than anything… 🙂

      • we

if there WILL BE SBMM, he isn’t going to answer it, at least not straight up. Look at the fireside chat, pure BS.

        • ccrows

Well.. I’m sure that Condrey is gonna get hit with that question, and he might as well answer it now… (Especially if they decide to use a beta or demo before launch)

      • jordanxbrookes

I might be a fool trusting Sledgehammer again after the disaster that was AW, but I ain’t gonna be a misery guts all my life haha. I betting the MP will be much better this time round tho.

        • ccrows

Here’s the thing. I’m stuck buying the game either way, because my friends always want to play the latest COD.

However, I’d like to actually “enjoy the game” (especially solo).

^ AKA IW is the latest COD, but when my friends aren’t on, I’m usually playing BO2/3 or even MWR lately…

          • jordanxbrookes

I haven’t played Infinite Warfare since its launch day lol.

          • ccrows

I have friends that moved away. It’s my main way of keeping up with them… 🙁

    • Mikey9835

Fucking Amen, I showed this to my older bro who hasent enjoyed a cod game since MW3, I think he’s pretty hyped I can tell lol.

    • yup, I’m with you on that… played IW for about 3 weeks before I stopped. looking forward to this one with boots on the ground – especially after a year off COD

  • Elite Predator

Look under the link that says Exclusive rewards
It says “Sign up to receive in-game loot such as calling cards, and redeem codes for additional bonuses”. Supply drops confirmed.

    • Elektrobanq

If they lock ranged weapons behind supply drops, I will refuse to play this game. I don’t care how good it is.

I picked up playing BO3 again a couple of weeks ago and was actually having a good time, but really wanted a weapon like the Famas, M16, Galil, MG40, etc. After sinking a solid week’s worth of gaming in order to get a weapon bribe (unlocked via the 75 Wins Contract), I got a pair of brass knuckles. The only other weapon bribe I got in the past unlocked a fucking axe. I uninstalled BO3 after I got those knuckles.

It is so shitty when you realize how much fun you would be having in a game (for me, it is all about the weapons) if greed didn’t get in the way, forcing gamers to basically drop approximately $60 in cod points to unlock a dlc weapon through supply drops, and a weapon they probably didn’t want in the first place. Never bought cod points, and never will.

    • ccrows

Bro, Activision made billions from in-game content last year.

      ^ There’s your supply drops confirmed… 🙁

    • jordanxbrookes

Everyone should know Supply Drops are here to stay until such time they make less money or a different business model comes around that makes even more money.

      • i never use real money to buy supply drops , i just use the in game currency

    • jordanxbrookes

      Nice little Easter Egg there.

      • Tao

Semms more than a easter egg major hint to what kind of missions well have

        • BradyAlucard

I’ve never played Big Red One, but it was made by Treyarch. What kind of missions were in that game? I’ll probably just look up some gameplay of it though.

          • Tao

I’m not talking about the game I was talking about the 1st infantry division a.k.a the big red one. Which ran missions in africa, sicily, on beaches of omaha, and battle of bulge

          • EgemenAydos

I think its pretty much confirmed that we will have missions in omaha

          • Tao

But every time something comes up hinting at it I get excited even more.

          • BradyAlucard

I knew what you were talking about. lol

        • jordanxbrookes

Some others on social media think it could mean something more too. Guess we’ll have to wait till Wednesday.

    • BradyAlucard

Crazy how much detail is going into this game. Historical accuracy and fun little Easter Eggs, Nazi Zombies, etc.!

      • Element115Will

“Nazi Zombies” i highly doubt it but man, if they can bring it back and make it really terrifying, like World at War, then this game has me sold!

        • BradyAlucard

I’m just hoping. Please please please Sledgehammer…

      • I would die if they do Nazi Zombies. Take my money please.

    • EgemenAydos

      Oh

  • Mikey9835

I’m usually optimistic about hyped up stuff, but fuck it I am so pumped right now. This was announced on my birhday too thats a good sign right?

    • ccrows

      Happy Birthday… 🙂

  • BradyAlucard

This looks absolutely awesome. I didn’t think they’d have it in them to release information so early. Here’s hoping MP news isn’t too slow like it was for AW and IW and that they finally call it Nazi Zombies again.

    • ccrows

TBF, when they released the AW info, they gave a little snippet of the MP at the end.

I’m too lazy to look it up, (plus it’s AW) but remember the soldier jumping up in the air, over the platform, and landing behind the soldier that was OG chasing him?…

      • BradyAlucard

That actually wasn’t unveiled until August, not its reveal. Unfortunately.

        • ccrows

I forgot the time frame TBH. I’ll take your word for it though…

  • Words can not describe how happy and excited i am. It feels good to be a CoD fan again. I have friends interested in CoD again. This year is going to be great

  • OnQore

I personally think this game will go back to it’s roots completely. Meaning, not only from the boots back on the ground. But also spiritually meaning a 100% serious COD IP without no make believe Zombie horde mode. So maybe instead they’ll include something fresh on the CO-OP side, outside of CO-OP Campaign and the traditional Zombie Horde modes?

  • Stefan Lang

Guy to the right kind of looks like Christian Bale to me or maybe I’m just high as fuck lol.

  • Dr. Salim

Can’t wait to play the campaign, I wonder who wins!

  • PuddleOfStix

Anyone else having the issue where it’s not letting you sign up/sign in?

  • Skillreks

it takes a long time to make a game, so I feel bad that Infinity Ward got the short end of the stick. when people stopped liking the advanced movement system, Infinity Ward couldn’t just scratch their game and make a new one, so they tried to do good with what they had.

  • Νικος Θεοφιλοπουλος

Finally yessssss.10 years from last ww2 game im so excited. I pre order it

  • CreeamzzDE

I Think the Story will be about a squad of the big red one and you will be one particular soldier ( likely the one on the cover and your 4 buddies in the reflection of your eyes… probably will see them and others die and suffer to show the grittyness of ww2) my take on it at least… whatcha guys think of my idea?

  • Peewy 978

Cod Sucks but people will still buy it and complain! Its a never ending cycle.
