If they do NZ again, great. But I also hope they try something that isn’t Zombies for once. Having Zombies for 4 years in a row will be a little stale. Maybe make it have two modes, one like Extinction so you can progress and play a story, and another where it’s pure Survival.

      spec ops perhaps?

      • BradyAlucard

Man if Spec Ops comes back I’m done with life. Most boring co-op I’ve ever played.

Maybe they’ll play up a ‘Japanese Mutant’ angle vs. ‘Nazi Zombies’. Radiation & fallout from ‘Little Boy’ + ‘Fat Man’.

    • I agree. I’ve been tired of Zombies since BO2 over complicated things. Exo Zombies was a lot of fun but other than that I never touch the Zombies mode. It’s time for something fresh, or to just spend more time adding original content to the multiplayer/co-op

    • Monkey D Luffy

no zombies is what makes cod, cod without it it wouldnt be as ¨successful¨ as it is

      • PuddleOfStix

Actually, no. The fast paced gameplay and the fact it’s easy to learn makes it successful. There are more multiplayer fans than there are zombies fans.

      • Another useful idiot, demon-rat.

The Beta will still be free after a while, like BO3 and IW. So don’t worry.

    • David Orive

The last open beta was in BO3, IW hadn’t beta

IW had an Open Beta for like a week dude

        • David Orive

Oh, you’re right! I thought wasn’t an open beta because was the first time the open beta didn’t appeared on PC, but you’re right, anyways the open beta didn’t launch on Steam 🙁

          • RdJokr

The beta wasn’t even on PC, period.

          • David Orive

Yeah, but the Black Ops 3 open beta was launched on Steam

          • RdJokr

Yes, well, BO3 is BO3 and IW is IW. And WWII is WWII, so let’s not base on past experiences for this one. I have a good feeling about this though.

        • ccrows

You mean demo, and yes there is a difference…

  • Ult1mateCarnage

oh hell yea, now all the real leaks are coming

  • Yes! No more milking zombies!! I hope anyway!

  • ccrows

    Hopefully it’s a “beta”, and not a demo…

  • Tyler Smith

Am I stupid, or did they just say that the game starts on D-Day? Which if I’m mistaken, took place in 1944?

    • Lawrence Gilder

D-Day did take place in 1944, but that still gives the developers more than a whole year of action (June 1944 to September 1945) to base the campaign on.

  • Tyler Smith

Im also hoping to get different perspectives of the war, like in WAW we fought the Nazis as a group of Russians, and the Japanese as a group of Americans.

  • ccrows

Didn’t AW not start with zombies either, and then they brought it into DLC later or something like that?

I’m not a fan of zombies, and TBH too lazy to Google… 🙁

    • GinsuVictim

Correct. There was a level of their survival mode that had zombies, but a separate mode wasn’t a launch feature. It was released in the first DLC and everyone lost their shit (“How dare they lock behind a pay wall?!?”)

      • Batman

Exo zombies was made after the game had gone gold that’s why it felt rushed & incomplete

  • I hope this game has zombies. It’s world war freaking 2.

    • Aidan

I’d rather see what else they’d be able to bring to the table. Zombies is fun and all, but it’s getting tiresome, in my opinion.

      • What else could they bring? People say that, but what do they mean? I much rather see zombies in a world war 2 setting again.

        • Aidan

I can see your point. I’d like to see a CO-OP similar to Exo Survival but with a story to keep it all together, almost like a second campaign, but with a huge twist.

          • I mean if they did it differently with a story of some sort, i could be open to it. I’m not sure how invested I’ll get into though. I never got into MW3 survival or Exo Survival. Always came off as a glorified combat training or bots.

While zombies is getting milked now, which I agree with, it does feel different to multiplayer and campaign. Which literally the one reason why I would want zombies this year is purely for the setting. I love to see some horror type WWII type maps with zombies.

Which AW had four modes, so WWII probably have four modes too or not. If it doesn’t have zombies, that’s fine, but i do think it would be a missed opportunity.

          • Aidan

I can definitely see where you’re coming from.

        • James_Hollywood

‘Japanese Mutants’ or something similar. Ties in to the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.

          • InternecivusRaptusStrikesBack

            Unit 731

      • BradyAlucard

In what way is Zombies getting tiresome? Call of Duty is Zombies now… that’s like saying Campaign is stale.

        • Aidan

Call of Duty isn’t Zombies. That’s never what it was, or rather, what it was supposed to be. I just think Zombies is a bit overdone at this point. Then again, that’s just my opinion. You can think whatever you want about it.

          • BradyAlucard

Oh yeah I know, I’m just giving my opinion to give perspectives from the other side of the conversation. I personally think that Call of Duty is Zombies now, as much as the Multiplayer is at this point and that wasn’t true until it became a trend and I personally don’t think any other mode fits Call of Duty besides a Spec Ops/Survival mode as a side Co-Op option (not the full mode though).

          • Aidan

I thought Extinction was quite fitting. I really liked Extinction. In fact, I adored it. I know it wouldn’t really fit with the setting of the game, but if Sledge Hammer was able to deliver something similar to Extinction, I would be pleased. If not, I’m sure they’d be able to think of something

          • BradyAlucard

As long as it’s not human soldiers I’d be happy. lol

As much as I thought Extinction was just… alright.

          • Looks more like Bill than chelsea hubbell does.

          • I love the idea, I’m huge on horror and zombies but find the zombies mode in CoD intimidating and over complicated. All my friends stopped playing it for the same reason. It was more fun when the maps were smaller and it was all about surviving the longest, but now that it’s all about achieving huge Easter eggs I just can’t get into it. I tried, but I just can’t. The pressure of trying to get a group together who are reliable to do the Easter eggs and losing hours of progress from one mistake just pisses me off. If Zombies wasn’t a survival mode and more of a story I would love it, but otherwise I’ve just lost all love for it years ago.

Exo Zombies was great. More simple maps, less confined movement, more power ups, achievable single player Easter eggs and achievements. Then BO 3 came out and it was the same stress all over again.

I know that’s not the popular opinion though and I get why people love it. Just adding my bit to the discussion

          • BradyAlucard

Yeah there’s nothing wrong with debating that side, as much as I may not fall in line with that I can see where you’re coming from, I just haven’t really experienced the same complexity that others have (and I prefer BO3 Zombies to Exo-Zombies, my opinion is actually the opposite of your opinion on that lol, even though Exo-Zombies has a place I felt that even though the maps were nice and simple, the maps just weren’t as fun IMO, plus there was the stupid EMP Zombies/dogs design decision). The only map that was complicated that I can think of was Zetsubou’s PaP.

          • Haha yeah I guess I can see why it wasn’t for everyone. I think I need to get past my love for WaW/BO1 zombies and dedicate more time to trying the new maps more. What killed it for me was when my friends stopped playing and I lost that team atmosphere. It isn’t really designed for solo play and finding a decent team/having the time to find a decent team is hard work!

          • var disqus_title = “Leaked marketing material reveal CODWWII November 3rd release date and “Private BETA” for preorders”;

      • Anything other than “start in a room with barricades and a crappy weapon, spend hours running around getting lost doing Easter eggs, die and start back at the crappy room with nothing” is good for me

    • TR1LL OG

      Leave zombies to Treyarch please.

      • I would have said this last year. But with this being a World War 2 setting, i like to see zombies this year.

  • Masked monkey

    Aww no nz zombies 🙁

  • Bavizer

xbox one get map packs first?

  • Pyromaani

These call of duty only beta pre orders are so scummy and stupid. Would thought that beta usually decides do people wanna pre order or not lol

    • Ptrain727

You know you can cancel a pre order right?

  • James_Hollywood

I sincerely hope that Call of Duty: WWII’s campaign is not solely U.S. Forces. Returning to CoD roots means an expansive campaign that explores a variety of factions fighting in a global conflict. Personally, I was hoping to see at least a few missions from the perspective of a German conscript.

  • Peewy 978

Ya Private Beta my Azz! Their gonna give free Beta codes to everyone even if they didnt preorder just to get them on board with the game!

  • Ben

Personally, I’m hoping, as an Australian, they have some sort of story based on the Kokoda Campaign. That’s just my opinion.

  • Erwin

But is world war 2 gringos to be for ps4, because the imagen of the game says Xbox one.

  • Stephen Broadhead

Buddy and I were going from what they were saying about NO Coop..I was bummed about it, was not going to buy the game. Then i hear there WILL be Coop. Oh baby, pre-order time…oh yeah!!!
