A new patch update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is now live across platforms. The new update includes three new weapons, alongside three new melee weapons.

Alongside the new weapons, there are new kits for different types of rifles.

  • What you looking at?

im glad i saved up to like 5k parts

    • Josh Riggs

      I have 175k saved lol

  • Elite Predator

This is so stupid. This game is 10 years old. Many ppl spent $80 to play it. And they expect us to buy supply drops to get those weapons. The grind is life longing I really do not have the patience although, I acquired the XM-LAR, Mac 10, and the Boss 15 from saving my salvage. This is bullshit. Dlc weapons keep the game’s season fresh with new content.

    • Qaotik

If you paid 80 dollars just to play one game, then you made a huge mistake

      • Elite Predator

I didn’t. I enjoyed and felt I got my money’s worth from the legacy edition in both games. While IW wasn’t perfect, it has (and taken from me) one of the best Call Of Duty Campaigns I played, (and I played all.of them besides the first one on PC). That’s not the point. It’s how Activision fucks over the entire player base. Some of us are smart enough to not feed in and purchase their garbage loot system, and they put them in there anyway in MW:R. The grinding is unrealistic. Fuck that!

        • Qaotik

Good thing we still have the original game. If the servers were shut down on the original, then I would be much more furious

          • at least we can play “cheat free” multiplayer offline 10 years from now on all MWR maps, and the bots are pretty good… The original didn’t have bots at all (and don’t count the crappy PezBot for the PC version, it hardly works)

    • Josh Riggs

No expectation for anything. I spent $25 on game, and $20 in game and have nearly everything unlocked. Patience and skill in game pay off, crybabies.

      • Elite Predator

K, good for you pal. You have days of in game played, I think you’re the man!

  • Guest

Yay more fake guns man why don’t they just had authentic real life weapons instead of Ines which are just re imagines of real guns activison has the funds for this thought they were billionaires

    • Andrey Martim

The AR is a Honey Badger
The SMG is a Glock 18 with an RONI Stock
The pistol is a Luger P08.

Fake names indeed, but not fake guns.

      • Elite Predator

The BOS 15 and the XM-LAR aren’t authentic, real weapons. I haven’t done research on the fang simply because idgaf about MW:R, anymore.

        • Name

Bos 15 is a imagined version of that British gun think it’s called the sa08 something along them lines and xm lar looks identical to a fal just automatic don’t know about the rest a few real ones got added magnum mac 10 pkm but that’s about it the rest were fictional remakes of other bc activison won’t pay out for the fees like they use to

          • Elite Predator

Exactly! But if they’re going to add weapons in a Modern game and put them behind supply drops, they should at least get the guns accurately authentic. This just shows Activision cares.more about money than quality. They’re scumbags. They make billions of dollars from Supply Drops and they don’t even make an effort to better their game. From my understanding, WW II reaks of AW engine build. Look at the new map they revealed today. It reminded me of a map that shifted into another in AW.

          • The BOS-14 is a bullpup Scar L. It doesn’t actually exist but it is what it is.

          • Bindal

Except it does exist. It’s the SCAR 17 Ultralight, with the only error being the caliber.

XM-LAR is just an FN LAR with different handguard that looks like from another gun.

Either way, none of the guns in MWR are fictional besides their name.

          • Guest

Do you mean the guns are real besides their names?

          • Bindal

Real guns, fake names. Most likely for licensing reasons.

          • The Scar 17 fires 7.62x51mm and is semi automatic only. The Scar L is select fire and fires 5.56x45mm. Not only are they different weapons, if you looked at the BOS-14 you could clearly tell it’s not a “kit” like the Ultralight, but instead a whole new rifle as the upper isn’t the exact same as the Scar L. Ontop of that, that’s not even the same looking as the BOS-14.

        • Andrey Martim

The BOS is a SCAR-L with a Ultralight Conversion kit.

The XM LAR is a FN FAL (XM LAR actually is the US military designation for the trial FAL, meaning the same thing: Light Automatic Rifle in English = Fusil Automatique Leger in French) with DSO Furniture.

          The Fang45 is a AR-15 in .45 ACP with a .45 oriented lower receiver.

          • Elite Predator

Can you supply your information with a source? I looked up XM-LAR and only got MW:R references. How are you telling me that Bos 14 is a Scar dude. It looks nothing like it, first of all. Why would they make hybrids of diff weapons ?? So they can come up with their own name for the gun, and so Activision won’t have to pay for copy right on the guns’ licence. It doesn’t make sense to me why they would change models of certain weapons from out of their ass, give it a random name, other than that reason.

          • Bindal
          • Andrey Martim
          • Elite Predator

            Lmao What’s your source?
            THE DLC WEAPONS
Obviously not the guns from the original game, Fuckin’ moron

          • Andrey Martim

Read the entire page, all the DLC guns are at the end as “MWR Exclusive”, fuckin moron.

          • Elite Predator

So they basically took parts of real weapons and called them different names, and I’m a moron for calling them out on their fraud?! Haha

          • Bindal

Given that you claimed these weapons were entirely madeup (when they are mostly legitimate) and it’s not a fraud because that’s not what fraud means: Yes, you are.

          • Elite Predator

It’s fraud. They take a legitimate model, replace and make hybrids so they don’t have to pay for license. It’s a remaster, it became remake and with fake guns that sound like I’m shooting out of an air soft gun

  • Thanasishim

    I cri. Not.

  • Guest

Original game came out in 2007 and was set in 2011 featured real weapons

Remaster came out 2016 still set in 2011 featured real weapons for about a month then all these fictional made up weapons came in to the game.

We’re in 2017 now so if any of these supply drop weapons came out in real life we’d know about it so why do they think they can add fictional made up weapons to a game that featured real life weapons?

Fictional weapons belong in the futuristic titles not modern, and they have the money to pay for licensing fees but they won’t.

How ever the ghillie sniper kit is a nice touch should of been in the game from the start just like the kit that makes your weapon look worn out and broke. That’s authentic

    • Qaotik

      Respawns aren’t authentic, but whatever

      • Guest

I was talking about weapons please tell me where do you see me once mention respawns? Go on show me

        • Qaotik

It’s a joke about how people want some form of authenticity in their games. Also, the guns are real. The AR is the honey badger, the submachine gun is just a glock with some sort of stock on it, and the pistol is something called a luger P08. Fake names, but real guns. Nothing different here

          • Name

Because activison won’t pay licensing fees like they use to

    • Thang Tran

These are all real or modified off of real guns. It’s just that Call of Duty has lost the rights to guns drastically after Advanced Warfare similar to how Resident Evil did after RE5.

      • Guest account

Don’t think they lost the right I think they just won’t pay the fees anymore lots of people have said this and I forgot that about re5 lol

    • The Gaming Revolution

I think that it’s nice to see new things being brought to the game. Yes, the original had real life weapons, but many players stopped playing the original after they hit max level. If Raven didn’t keep adding new weapons to the game then no one would play the game since it’s just a prettier version of a game that they’re already bored of. These fun, fictional add ons (especially prophunt and these weapons) make the game more fresh and Raven has done the best job out of all the cod studios to incorporate the supply drop system into their game.

      • Anonymous

I agree adding new content does freshen the game up but I guess what this dude is trynna say is if they’re gonna add guns into a game which is full of real life weapons why not just add new weapons which actually exist in real life and leave the fictional weapons for the fictional games which take place in 2050’s and 2060’s that how what he’s comment said comes across to me. big fan of your channel by the way

        • The Gaming Revolution

I think that the new weapons (except the melee) are all very realistic. Sure they don’t exist in real life, but only someone who knows guns would be upset which is <1% of the player base. I do understand that the weapons shouldn't be fictional, but I think that as long as the weapons aren't nail guns or 3d printer lmg's, they are realistic enough.

    • We’re doomed

I get what your saying dude i really do I hate them fake guns too but it is what it is and it’s this… activison just care about money not their fans they’re gonna continue to do this but what the f**k can we do 🙂

    • Bindal

One problem: All weapons added are also real and just have fake names.

  • bsktballmsu1

legit just bought the s-tac aggressor earlier this week

  • anon75849302

legit spent all my scrap on days of summer greaves. worth it

  • Thang Tran

NONE OF THESE GUN ARE FICTIONAL. People really have no knowledge of what guns exist in the world and will only except them if they’ve seen them in their favorite FPS before. Just the names and designs are tweaked from real guns. If it weren’t for these guns the game would have died of M40A3 and M16A4 drought months ago. This game vanilla is too dull and simple without these unlocks, game modes and hopefully more maps. It was the same on 360 and PS3 (before it got hacked to pieces).

    • TheShwantz27 (Brian)

Keep trying to justify micro-DLC in a 10 year old game…

      • ccrows

*real talk* I’m not the biggest fan of new weapons being in this, but I honestly LOVE the new camos and weapon kits… (especially the weapon kits)

        • Joseph Upton

          God the cuckery is scary.

They’re now ASKING for more micro dlc.

          • ccrows

Yeah, as in more cosmetic stuff.

This ****ing guy trying to make a bigger deal out of nothing… <_<

          • RdJokr

            Cosmetic microtransaction is fine.

    • Tom J

It doesn’t fucking matter if they are fictional or not. I cant even say they change the balance, the dlc guns just make all the original guns completely obsolete.

  • Dickmissle

bo3 is top5 fuck this trash

  • “Semi Automatic with three round burst fire”

Wait, what? Is it like tapping the trigger is semi and holding it down is burst or something? Or is it some kind of select fire thing going on here?

    • ccrows

      Remember the ChiCom from BO2?

      ^ It’s exactly like that…

      • Bindal

That thing was just a bog-standard burst (with 4 rounds). “Semi-Automatic with 3-round-burst” is complete and utter non-sense and contradicting itself.

        • ccrows

I know you’re trying to get all “IRL weapon technical” on me, but in the “COD universe” the PK-PSD9 is literally the ChiCom from BO2 in MWR.

Really the only difference that matters (once again in the COD universe), is that the ChiCom has slightly longer range…

          • Bindal

There is also the difference that the one is a pistol in an MP-Kit (the Arsenal Strike one and the Inspect Animation confirms that – the pistol itself is even a separate weapon in the game already), the other is a full-blown SMG (Jian She Type-05 with a FMG-9 style carryhandle added).

Meaning they aren’t even remotely the same gun.

          • ccrows

I haven’t heard of this yet. Which pistol & which weapon kit? The one that came today?

Better yet, please give me a link that goes in depth about this because I would like to research this further. Thanks…

          • Nick Horgan
          • Bindal

The Prokolot is the same as the PK-PSD9, just using a conversion kit.
For the weapons and their real-life counterpart (the newest ones aren’t added yet, probably over the course of the next few days)
            http://imfdb.org/Call_of_Duty_4:_Modern_Warfare
Shows all three new guns – Skip to 1:37 to see it.
            https://t.co/WbHXs3m5SE

          • ccrows

Unless I completely missed it, this seems more like an Easter Egg when you inspect the SMG more than anything else.

At least ATM there isn’t a weapon kit that turns the Prokolot into the exact same stats as the PK-PSD9…

          • Bindal

There is. In real-life. Not in the game. The term “weapon kit” was not invented by MWR and means something else. And this is not an “Easter Egg”.

FMG-9, for example, is something similar with a Glock. In fact, the Glock series in general has several of them.

            http://www.imfdb.org/John_Wick#Glock_17_.28FAB_Defense_KPOS_Glock_to_Carbine_Conversion.29

Just one example. And something similar was done here

          • ccrows

OK, I’m finally understanding what you meant yesterday vs now.

I was OG under the impression (yesterday) that one of these MWR weapon kits literally turned the Prokolot into something else. Which is not the case. (especially after I tested it myself yesterday)

I think we’re both on the same page now… (hence the confusion yesterday)

      • The ChiCom was just three round burst with a high ROF. The description of it may just not be very accurate.

        • ccrows

I’m close to getting the silencer on it ATM, but up to this point it literally feels like I’m using the ChiCom just with shorter range…

  • ccrows

At least none of this stuff isn’t locked behind RNG.

& as much as I’m not a fan of Prop Hunt, those 8 keys per game were well spent… 🙂

    • Elite Predator

I did that one weekend to give it a review out of my experience, with it.
Once I got the gun my hype died for it

  • TheAdversary

Too bad I already gave up on MWR’s broken, buggy nonsense. Actually not too bad. I feel great about it.

    • ccrows

Give me a COD that isn’t buggy?

Even my beloved BO2 and BO3 were buggy.

Finally you obviously never played MW2 during it’s peak (or probably even now) if you think MWR is broken. MW2 was broken AF. Some people love it for that, but no other COD will ever be as broken as MW2… (and yes that includes COD4/MWR with the M16)

      • TheAdversary

        Strawman.

Besides that, MWR is a mess from the ground up.

The campaign has noticeably less detail than the original in regards to mission events(enemies unaffected by scripted explosions on multiple levels) and there were no improvements to the shoddy game design of its single-player missions (Running past enemies is the most viable option for progressing on EVERY difficulty level).

The Multiplayer retains all of its warts from the original, and have festered thanks to the exploitative nature of its playerbase. Not only that, but Raven/Activision have opted to shit all over the rest of the game from day 1. There have been no major fixes or balances since the game was released, instead they monetized the game (a fucking remastered one at that) by adding Supply Drops and Supply Drop weapons. The Variety Map Pack is a complete ripoff, and there are major bugs that I’ve been dealing with that have been prevalent to the day I quit (Gunfire not registering on certain occasions, particularly the M16/Bugs from the original CoD4 being in MWR).

        • ccrows

The community wanted the game remade just like COD4, and Raven pretty much delivered on that.

& Why are you yelling at Raven about the DLC? Activision makes the final call when it comes to Micro-DLC, and that all stems from whatever quarterly goals that they are trying to meet…

          • Joseph Upton

Why are you arguing for the company?
You should argue for the costomer you idiotic twat.

          • ccrows

            4 Things:

            1 – What’s a “costomer”?

2 – “idiotic twat.” – Please, just stay on your side of the pond.

3 – Here you go trying to start S*** again. I was sticking up for Raven because they work for Activision. I wasn’t sticking up for Activision, just telling you how it works.

4 – I’m very much anti-Activision (when it comes to DLC). I have hated on them numerous times around here. It would require research on your part, but I’m sure you’re too lazy to do that. It’s just easier for you to b**** and troll.

However, my whole point of this is that Raven is just doing their job, and they don’t make the final call…

          • TheAdversary

If Raven really intended on remaking CoD4 the way it was, they would have used the IW 3.0 engine instead of Advanced Warfare’s engine. If they actually cared about what the fans thought, they would have fixed issues with the original instead of rehashing every wart that plagued the original title. Fans wanted a return to roots, not a trip to Nostalgialand.

Oh, please. As far as I’m concerned both companies are the ones at fault, as we don’t know about any of the operations behind Raven beyond what they actually accomplished. Considering they were mostly known for creating the free-2-play Call of Duty, it should be obvious that they wouldn’t mind slamming some micro-DLC on MWR.

  • Emre

I will never get these weapons.

    • ccrows

Did you miss out on the the EZ 8 keys per game from Prop Hunt over the past month?…

      • Emre

I do not get 8 keys. Mostly 2 maybe 3

  • Scott McMunn

    Why is this 6.3 gigs?

    • Josh Riggs

Prop hunt is possibly permanent, which sucks, should add capture the flag and domination to hardcore so real players, not halo idiots can play them as well

  • Tom J

NEXT TIME PLEASE. Just let us pay 60 bucks to make MW2 backward compatible. You can keep the re-texture. And the fucking space looking OP weapons. And just don’t come to work infinite ward. Don’t come to work and just stay home and fuck yourselves. You’ve been working real hard on all this shit and you deserve a break.
