Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered available now on Xbox One and PC
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is now available to play on Xbox One and PC, after releasing on March 31 on PlayStation 4.
The new remastered title is developed by Beenox and features only the Campaign from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. MP and Spec Ops is not included.
Activision released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered on March 31 first on PS4, as part of the Sony deal; the game was exclusive to PS4 for 30 days. Now, it’s available to download and play on both Xbox One, via the Xbox Store, and PC, via Battle.net.
The game includes the full campaign with stunning high-definition visuals – up to 4K resolution and HDR support on console; and uncapped frame rate as well as ultra-wide monitor support on PC.
“Modern Warfare 2 campaign was incredible. We all remember the lasting impression the story left upon us. This campaign was very special and we thank Infinity Ward for creating such an amazing experience,” said Thomas Wilson, co-studio head, Beenox. “Restoring and remastering this campaign for a new generation of players was a labor of love for our team. We wanted to make sure that the feelings and power of the story was accurately represented with full high-definition visuals and the latest audio fidelity.”
Players on all platforms that purchase Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered get the UDT Ghost Bundle to use in both Modern Warfare and Warzone. The bundle is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC and is instantly unlocked with a purchase of the Campaign Remastered.
Fans hoping for MP will be disappointed, as Activision Blog confirmed in late March that they have no plans to release the MP or Special Ops mode for the game as they don’t want to split the Call of Duty community now.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered costs $19.99 and is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
