The key to a Warzone victory is carrying the best guns, so we’ve placed every Season 4 primary weapon into a tier list, and counted down the top 10 meta weapons you should be using in CoD’s Verdansk ’84 and Rebirth Island.
In Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4, there are over a hundred weapons to choose from. Guns, knives, and explosives from both Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War are available to take into Verdansk ’84 and Rebirth Island.
Warzone Season 4’s meta is mostly Assault Rifle-based, but if you’re looking for the best or just want something new to experiment with, we’ve ranked all 81 primary weapons in the game and counted down the top 10.
Call of Duty Warzone: Weapon tier list
Before we count down the top 10 weapons in Warzone, we’re ranking every single primary weapon available in the game. Some weapons clearly shine above the rest and some should be avoided at all costs.
Here’s our official tier list of every primary weapon in Warzone.
- S-Tier: FARA 83, C58, Kar98k, Swiss K31 XM4, AK-47 (CW), MP5 (CW)
- A-Tier: Milano, MG 82, CR-56 AMAX, PKM, RAM-7, FFAR 1, Bullfrog, Bruen Mk9, Grau 5.56, MAC-10, LC10, Stoner 63, HDR, AS VAL, MP5 (MW), SP-R 208

S-Tier weapons are the meta in Warzone Season 4 – the best of the best. Weapons in A-tier are incredibly strong and extremely viable, and could quickly become the meta if any of the S-Tier weapons receive a nerf in future updates.
B-Tier guns are useable, and very viable if built right and used in the right circumstances, whereas C-Tier weapons would only need some buffs to increase their popularity.
D-Tier weapons are ineffective, but you can try them out and have some fun with them, while F-Tier guns shouldn’t be in your loadout at all.
Top 10 weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4
10. MG 82 – Best LMG in Warzone Season 4
When Warzone Season 4 first launched, the new MG 82 quickly became the game’s best weapon. With a rapid fire rate, incredible range, and minimal recoil, there was simply no better choice. However, Raven Software were quick to acknowledge its dominance and nerfed almost every aspect of the weapon.
While only being a shadow of its former self, the MG 82 is still an extremely viable weapon in Warzone Season 4, and something you should consider using if you’re an LMG fan.
9. CR-56 AMAX
It appears that the reign of the CR-56 AMAX is finally over. Once the tyranny of the AUG and M16 finally ended, the AMAX became the top dog for the whole of Warzone Season 3, even after several nerfs. One final blow in the Season 4 update has knocked it from the top spot, but it’s still an extremely effective weapon in the right hands.
8. Milano 821
The beauty of the Milano is that, although being an SMG, it can be used at essentially any range. With a 3x scope and some attachments for bullet velocity, it can be effectively used at medium range. Or, you can build it like a standard SMG for close-quarters combat.
7. Swiss K31
Buffs to Cold War’s Sniper Rifles have improved the previously lackluster Swiss K31. If you’re looking for a close-range Sniper Rifle ideal for quickscoping, you can’t go wrong with the Swiss. The only thing that gives the Kar98k the edge is a cleaner crosshair and faster bullet velocity.
6. AK-47 (Cold War)
The AK-47 is one of the best guns Cold War, and following the Season 4 buffs, it’s become one of the best options in Warzone too. It’s even better than most SMGs at close range, and if you’re good at controlling recoil, it will also be a monster at medium to long range.
5. MP5 (Cold War)
If you’re good at controlling recoil, Cold War’s MP5 is the weapon for you. With an incredibly strong time-to-kill, you’ll be able to rip through enemies at point-blank range. This is the weapon favored by most competitive players for its power up-close, so it’s well worth using in your loadout.
The XM4 is by far the most versatile Assault Rifle in Warzone Season 4. You can build it almost any way, and it’ll be an effective choice. We recommend using it at close-medium range as a Sniper Support weapon, but slap a grip and optic on it, and you’ll rival the FARA 83 and C58.
3. Kar98k – Best Warzone Sniper/Marksman Rifle
If you want a Sniper Rifle that’s both quick and accurate, the Kar98k is the strongest choice available. Although being a Marksman Rifle, equipping the Kar with a Sniper Scope will make it the most aggressive sniper build in Warzone.
Although not quite as fast as the Swiss K31, it’s fast enough that you’ll be able to quickscope enemies up close. Starting a fight with a couple of easy headshots will put your team at a distinct advantage.
And with its one-shot headshot and minimal bullet drop, you can effectively snipe at long-range too.
Warzone players quickly realized the power of the C58 in Season 4. It’s the weapon you want in your hands before getting your loadout and becomes even better with a custom build. It has a slow fire rate and high damage, making it an even better version of the CR-56 AMAX.
1. FARA 83 – Best Warzone Assault Rifle
The FARA 83 has quickly risen to the top of the pack in Warzone Season 4. With no recoil, a fast fire rate, and a competitive TTK, it’s one of the easiest-to-use weapons in the game.
It doesn’t hit quite as hard as the C58, but because it’s so easy to control, it can be used by players of all skill levels and playstyles – making it the best Assault Rifle in Warzone Season 4.
Those are the top 10 weapons you should be using in Warzone Season 4. As new seasons, weapons, and balance changes come to Call of Duty’s battle royale, we’ll keep this list updated.

Warzone players call for devs to remove stuns and other tacticals from Gulag
Recent discussion in the Call of Duty: Warzone community has focused on players wanting stuns and other tactical equipment removed from the Gulag.
Members of the Call of Duty: Warzone community have been calling for the developers of the battle royale to remove stun grenades and other tactical equipment from the Gulag.
One of the features that have separated Warzone from other battle royale games has been the Gulag which allows players who have been eliminated from a match to fight for a chance to respawn and get back into the fight.
Players must fight with random loadouts in the Gulag that includes a weapon and various lethal and tactical equipment.
However, recent discussion in the Call of Duty community has focused on how many players would like to see the game developers remove stun grenades and other pieces of tactical equipment from Gulag loadouts.
The recent discussion around stuns and other tactical items being available for players to use in the Gulag was brought into the spotlight on the official Warzone subreddit by community member garymc88, who posted an image displaying their displeasure and frustration over stun grenades being in the Gulag.
This post soon had a great deal of communication amongst community members, as many other players agreed with the idea that stun grenades and other tactical grenades should not be in Gulag loadouts, as they allow players to get easy wins thanks to what many players feel is the overpowered nature of stun grenades and other tactical items.
Stuns and other tactical items have been in Gulag loadouts since the Call of Duty battle royale was first released in 2020.
It remains to be seen if Raven Software will indeed ever remove these items from the Warzone Gulag.
However, the developers of the high-profile game have made plenty of major changes to how things work in Warzone in the past, so it would not be extremely shocking to see the developers respond to this community request and take these items out of Gulag loadouts.

Warzone players call for devs to add permanent Rebirth Island playlists
Rebirth Island has become a popular map for Warzone players, but the community is calling for permanent playlists like Verdansk.
Rebirth Island is one of the maps Call of Duty: Warzone can battle on, but players have begun to call for the developers of the battle royale to make permanent playlists for the popular map.
It has become a popular pick for players as of late, as many community members enjoy Rebirth Island’s faster pace and action-packed nature.
However, a major point of frustration for players has been the lack of permanent playlists for Rebirth Island, as the game’s developers consistently change the available playlists instead of having a static set in the same way that Verdansk does.
The discussion around the desire for Raven Software to implement permanent playlists to Warzone for Rebirth Island was thrust into the spotlight when the most recent playlist update for the battle royale took away Resurgence Quads and replaced it with Resurgence Trios.
Community member LegionofGrixis took to the official subreddit for Warzone and started a thread where they stated their frustration over the fact that the developers constantly change the Rebirth Island playlists and how Trios are less favored by many Warzone players compared to Quads.
This sentiment was shared by popular Warzone content creator JGOD who had a simple statement on the topic.
There is no doubt that players who primarily play on Rebirth Island would be excited to see a permanent set of playlists that do not ever change be added to the Black Ops Cold War map.
It remains to be seen if the developers of the Call of Duty battle royale will ever implement this feature, but we will be sure to inform you and update this piece if permanent playlists are added to the Rebirth Island map for Warzone.

You can use the Axial Arms 3x to have a very clear and precise view of the battlefield and help improve your accuracy at farther ranges.
