Warzone devs respond to bugged, pay-to-lose Operator skins

pay-to-lose padmavati skin in Warzone

Warzone has been plagued with store items that have been branded both ‘pay-to-win’ and ‘pay-to-lose,’ but the latest bugged skin is firmly in the pay-to-lose camp. Now, devs Raven Software have responded both this issue and a bizarre glitch replacing Polina’s head with another Operator’s.

Warzone has seen several broken skins and items over the last few months with skins that turned players invisible being called “pay to win,” while the Shadow Outcast Shigenori skin was completely misaligning weapon optics and making aiming next to impossible.

Now, another skin has been branded pay-to-lose as the Vanguard character’s cape keeps clipping in front of the screen, making it next to impossible to see what’s in front of you.

Warzone devs Raven Software have acknowledged both this issue and a bizarre glitch that puts the wrong Operator’s head on Polina.

Warzone devs respond to broken Padmavati & Polina skins

The Lethal Luxury bundle’s Astrakhan Padmavati skin has been causing trouble, as the fur collar on her cape is clipping in front of players’ screens. This would make the game a nightmare to play as it can make it impossible to see what’s in front of you, and it’s made even worse with the bundle costing 2400 CoD Points, or $20.

More bizarre than game-breaking, Polina’s Cloaked for Combat has an odd glitch that replaces her head with a completely different character. Fortunately, Raven are aware of both of the issues.

Raven Software confirmed they’re aware of the issue with both skins, announcing on January 14 that they have created Trello cards addressing both issues:

  • Astrakhan Skin: Players will observe that the Padmavati “Astrakhan” Operator Skin will cause their vision to be obscured in-game.
  • Cloaked For Combat Skin: Players may notice that the incorrect head will appear on the Polina “Cloaked For Combat” Operator Skin.

Both of the Trello cards are marked as ‘investigating’ on ‘all platforms,’ but there’s no predicted date for the fix. Players are also waiting for the Vargo 52’s FerroFluid Blueprint to be available in Warzone, as players who try to use it spawn with no gun, but there’s still no ETA.
