While not directly related to Call of Duty, YouTuber “FPSRussia” is a very prominent figure in the Call of Duty scene. With 3,426,432 subscribers and over 534,955,237 video views, he is currently the 10th most subscribed to person on YouTube. Not to mention that he was used to help market Black Ops 2 prior to it being announced, he was also featured in the Official Call of Duty “Surprise” trailer for Black Ops 2…
Earlier today, many news outlets have reported that Keith Ratliff, the manager of FPS Russia, the 10th most popular youtube channel was found dead yesterday, tied up to a chair and shot in the back of the head.
As Liberty and Such pointed out, the exact details are still unclear. Gun activist are surely to take notice though, FPS Russia is a huge influence in the pro-gun movement for games and “youth” as the site points out. “The videos published are very pro-gun, and reach literally millions of impressionable youth showing them that firearms just aren’t for people in movies or video games.”
We felt this was necessary to report on based on FPSRussia involvement with Black Ops 2..
