Activision has just announced that Sony PS4 buyers will get the same opportunity to upgrade their current-gen to next-gen titles as Xbox One buyers.

Bring back Ghosts(PS3) to GameStop along with $10 and walk out with a brand new copy of Ghosts(PS4).

“Today we’re announcing that anyone who buys Call of Duty: Ghosts for the PS3 will be able to upgrade to Call of Duty: Ghosts for the PS4 for a limited time at a suggested retail price of just 10 dollars, 10 euros or 10 pounds,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc. “Retail programs, announced by Amazon and GameStop allow our players to upgrade from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts for $10 as well. We have also previously announced that for a limited time our players will bring all of their Season Pass Content and all of their in-game progress with them within a console family, for no additional charge. We have the best fans in the world, and we want to make this transition as seamless and easy for them as possible. And there’s more news to come on that front. Stay tuned.”

interesting too bad i’m not going to buy the PS4 anytime soon. only my PS3

    • ip x Warrior

Im glad you didn’t say “first” 😛

    • NiftyGam3r

Me neither. I’m actually gonna wait it out until i get a ps4

  • SSgtRin

Will I have to trade in my ps3 version to get the ps4 version for $10, or how is it going to work.

    • ip x Warrior

If you buy ghosts on ps3 you switch it for a ps4 and you pay 10$

  • Gusty

    just two quick questions:
does the trade also happens with the hardened and prestige version?
is the gamestop the only shop doing this?

  • Craig Steven Brooks Jr

Ill just wait 10 days to get it on my ps4.

  • David Sync

    Awesome 🙂

  • DeeJayBliss1

i was in my store today (game uk) and was told that it would be a digital download for £10 was told nothing about bringing back the ps3 copy of the game

  • Yagermeister

I don’t understand how it’s only 10$. If they give you back 50$ store credit towards a new copy of Ghosts for the next gen then how are you only spending an extra 10$? The game costs 65$ after taxes are added. Gamestop gives you 50$ credit right there you have lost 15$ with that 50$ you have to repurchase the Xbox 1 version or Ps4 version for 65$ again there, for it’s another 15 dollars out of your pocket to get the game. So really you’re spending 30$ to get the game early am I right?

    • CLERIC

no no no u buy the game for $65 on ps3 if u wish to transfer it to ps4 then ur paying a fee of $10…which is crap cuz it should be a free transfer.

  • unknown

So I can, buy the game. Return it for a voucher that makes the game a $10 download?

Or buy the game and automatically get a code for a $10 upgrade? Then I’ll just sell it back and pay less than the original price?

    • Marshall

You take your game in. Pay $10 in the store. Get a voucher, go home and download the game.

  • Dynamo

Now all they need to announce is a cross trade for people who are switching from xbox to playstation or playstation to xbox and ill be happy.

    • Lightning1432

      Playsation to xbox? wat.
