In an interview with Engadget, Mark Rubin talked about the challenges they face for developing Ghosts for 6 different platforms.

Call of Duty: Ghosts comes to Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PC, and Wii U, and each of these consoles have different software/hardware functionality. For Xbox One and PS4, those fit in with the PC style of resolution and artwork, which allows the studio to make cinematic quality work then bring it down to each platform.

For the PC, Rubin says this year they will have the best looking PC version they have ever had for a Call of Duty game.

Rubin also touched about how the stat transfer will work. They are using DemonWare as the storage server for keeping all the data. With Call of Duty: Ghosts, you can go from ANY platform, and your stats will transfer with your Call of Duty login.

And for the Wii U version, Rubin said that Treyarch has a dedicated Wii U team who develops these WIi U games for Infinity Ward and Treyarch.

Activision says they will support the Wii U … my ass.
Only the Standard package is available, no Free Fall bonus map, and possibly no DLC.

And they wonder why Black Ops 2 did weak on the Wii U.

    • MeAndMyself

Maybe because the Wii U is weak

      • Alexander Kleinwechter

Its much more powerful then ps3,

IMO Nintendo has been dead since the Gamecube. Sure the original Wii was a “success”, but with all the new people the Wii brought in the door a whole bunch of traditional gamers (myself included) went out.

By all means I’m not hating on Nintendo – they’re still successful with “Their games”. However when people buy a Wii U, and get mad that COD or EA Sports isn’t as good or missing, that’s all on Nintendo and not the 3rd party companies…

I think Wii U folks should be happy that Activision at least releases their games on the platform. EA doesn’t care for Wii U. ATVI gets way too much shit. They at least care enough to release SIX games for it.

      • TAKANYAN

Actually they do. They are (EA) going to make games for Wii U.They had a few months rant about the Wii U failing and sucking, but in the end they caved. Ubisoft supported every game for Wii U and now they choose their battles like Activision.

Still waiting for dedicated servers for Ps4. Microsoft probably gave them a wad of cash to keep their mouth shut to get more people to go to xbox. Then, at the last minute before release, they announce its on the Ps4 as well.

    • Ryan Merrifield

      That’s just buisness man.

More like Xbox threw a wad of cash towards researching Cloud Technology while Sony wrote it off as they thought it wasn’t worth anything. Can’t be mad at anything but Sony for that.

      • PS4 has Cloud… Its coming in 2014 though

        • Alex | FamousIsLIVE

That may or may not be as reliable and powerful as MS. We will have to see though.

        • Thats to stream PS2 amd PS3 games. NOT the same as Microsoft’s cloud setup. Read this article:

Most people will have bought the xbox by then

          • M$ Fanboys will have yes, but 70% of gamers are getting PS4

          • Alex | FamousIsLIVE

I’d love to know where your stats come from. Also buying whatever console you want is considered fanboying now? You people disgust me.

          • Stats are from PS4 has 3x more Pre-Orders then XBone.

          • Alex | FamousIsLIVE

My bad I wasn’t aware. But I still don’t understand how buying your console of choice is being a “fanboy”

  • Jet045

Despite the fact that I hate Black Ops 2, I’m really grateful for that small team that continues to port games onto Nintendo consoles. DLC or not, I’ll still be buying Ghosts for the Wii U.

  • MeisseN

just shut up about ps4 servers blah blah blah, they wont hear you here and your words wont change a thing. comments about this arent even relevant

    • Guest

      that was………. unnecessary.

      • MeisseN

        as are those comments

Treyarch’s Wii U team is pretty good. They got it pretty much up to par with the 360 version on unfinished dev kits. Not sure how much more powerful it is than the 360 but Ghosts should look a bit nicer.
