The Wii U Developer at Treyarch, @A_Trey_U, has tweeted confirming that the Wii U version of Call of Duty: Ghosts will be getting dedicated servers in the near future. He doesn’t have a confirmed date just yet, but news is coming very soon.

We’re still looking into more information regarding dedicated servers on other platforms. Infinity Ward’s Senior Community Manager has already confirmed that they are being rolled out over time.

i will be really upset if the Wii U, of all places, gets the dedicated servers before ps4.

    • Andreas S Hidle

Why? The console is allready out. Xbone wont hit Europe untill next year.

      • Ryumoau

actually it comes out November 22nd worldwide.

        • Andreas S Hidle

          For all 3 platforms then?

        • Mitch

So, the European coast line (countries like Belgium and the Netherlands) aren’t part of the world? Fuck us…

          • MitchBiiiitch

            yea its not bitch

    • DSEAUX

      whats wrong with the WiiU?

    • johne

You know whats great about the ps4 1080p. Oh whats that? you framerate dies because of that… guess thats the price to pay to get the exactly same looking game with a different number stamped on it.

      • BobtheCactus

I get 2 second frame rate drops once every 3-4 games. I don’t like this, but it isn’t necessarily inconvenient.

  • Sentrymann

    What’s a Wii-U?

    • Ryumoau

      lol exactly

    • Andreas S Hidle

      Really? REALLY??? You’re using that?!

  • Paokara

Have they come out on X360 and ps3 yet? lol
A lot of host migrations here in Europe.

    • Mitch

I’m on PS3 in the Netherlands, and I basically have 0 problems. Yet to have a host migration, haven’t had any lag, and I’m having perfect hit detection. Today was the first time I lost connection to host, that’s all.

      • Paokara

Sure hit detection is great! But I have had a few host migrations, im from sweden btw

  • Wouldn’t surprise me if the Wii-U gets dedicated servers before other platforms – after all it is Treyarch working on it and they actually understand what a dedicated server is.

    • Guest

But Treyarch didn’t add dedicated servers for any console for BO2… This is their first time console wise.

      • Blaine

The PC version had proper dedicated servers from day 1 though… Ghosts PC still has no dedicated servers…

      • Treyarch had RENTABLE (although still rather limited) ranked & unranked dedicated servers for Black Ops and still had matchmaking to dedicated servers in Black Ops 2 on PC.

    • Super_Deluxe

I see the sarcasm there 😉

  • Work hard, Twerk harder

Wow, even Wii-U stands a chance against 360 these days. Never thought I’d see that day…

  • Alexander Kleinwechter

OH YEAH. Haters can just go away here. Love my wii u and nintendo 3DS. Awsome games for it!

    • Sentrymann

It does have some fantastic exclusives.

      • Mitch

Yup, you just got to love them 🙂

    • grayson360

You don’t even know what CNET is…… Get your shitty Wii-U out of here!

  • Josh

Oh yeah…so the casual gamers who care more about Mario cart get dedicated servers before the rest of us. They properly don’t even know what a dedicated server is!

  • Mitch

That’s actually quite a surprise to me. When Mark Rubin said ‘all platform’, I expected it to be PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, because Wii U also gets left out on DLC.

  • George

Yay, wasn’t sure if Wii U was getting this! 😀

  • King

And how about dedicated servers for the consoles?
