Amazon UK has just posted their listing for Advanced Warfare, and they have also posted the official description of the title.

The description gives first details and a storyline of the game, and confirms that Jonathan Irons is the name of the main villain.

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, developed by Sledgehammer Games (co-developers of Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3), harnesses the first three-year, all next-gen development cycle in franchise history.

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare envisions the powerful battlegrounds of the future, where both technology and tactic have evolved to usher in a new era of combat for the franchise. Delivering a stunning performance, Academy Award® winning actor Kevin Spacey stars as Jonathan Irons – one of the most powerful men in the world – shaping this chilling vision of the future of war.

Power Changes Everything.

An Advanced World:

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare takes place in a plausible future in which technological progress and today’s military practices have converged with powerful consequences.
In this carefully researched and crafted vision of the future, Private Military Corporations (PMCs) have become the dominant armed forces for countless nations outsourcing their military needs, redrawing borders and rewriting the rules of war.
And Jonathan Irons, the founder and president of the world’s largest PMC – Atlas Corporation – is at the center of it all.

An Advanced Soldier:

Powerful exoskeletons evolve every aspect of a soldier’s battle readiness, enabling combatants to deploy with an advanced lethality and eliminating the need for specialization.

The introduction of this gameplay mechanic delivers enhanced player movement and verticality through boost jumps and grappling, covert cloaking abilities, and biomechanics that provide unparalleled strength, awareness, endurance, and speed.
With the advent of the exoskeleton and newly advanced armor and weaponry, every soldier commands tactical freedom in any terrain unlike ever before, fundamentally chan

An Advanced Arsenal:

Harnessing the power of next-gen platforms, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare brings players into the battlegrounds of the future by boasting a new hi-tech, advanced arsenal and ability set, arming players with all-new equipment, technology, perks, and vehicles like hoverbikes and highly specialized drones.

Players can also choose between standard ammunition and an all-new class of directed-energy weaponry that enables totally new gameplay dynamics.

And with exoskeletons delivering a massive force multiplier and unprecedented tactical freedom, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare evolves every firefight.

  • Jamkin

    So it’s titanfall 2

    • Prince Of The City.

Was just gonna say that.. It sounds exactly like CoD & Titanfall combined. I wonder how powerful a jump shot is gonna be in this game lol

      • thebulky1cometh

I’m really hoping the exo powers are only part of kill streaks…

        • sahzoom

Really? so you dont want a new game dynamic that is different, you just want to run around like a normal soldier and then occasionally get superpowers? Based on the trailer and description, the exoskeletons are a part of your soldiers, just like your gun, the killstreaks are the things like the mech suit in the trailer.

          • thebulky1cometh

Yes. And I could do without the suits altogether. “Super human” jumping, running, and climbing are not COD. If this is like Halo, with everyone jumping around, or Titanfall, with everyone parkouring around the map, I’ll be kind of disappointed I think.

    • Guest

This game has been in development long before Titanfall was announced. Not sure how you can make that assessment.

      • Jamkin

        It’s sarcassim my friend

        • jordanxbrookes

          It’s sarcasm my friend.

          • Jamkin

            I blame auto-correct

          • Samien Dandow

            Auto-correct misspells a word… Seems legit

        • Jamkin

I was referring to the the fact it could be similar gameplay to titanfall

    • Bigi345

Yeah except not really, Titanfall is about resource wars this is about if corporations betray you

    • .,.,.,.,.,…,.,,.,,

It more closely resembles Crysis an amazing game not TitanFAIL

  • disqus_PNYfMyj6AP

the weapon is an HXS-PO54 sub machine with hybrid and silencer

  • MrJDGuns1

Imagine how much this game could bring the changes we wan’t to multiplayer. I can’t wait for MP gameplay.

    • Kenneh

Exactly! You can tell they are really trying to be innovative with the game. I just hope the implementation isn’t just kinda futuristic, I hope it’s as deep as it’s billed in the game descriptions. Because if it is really crazy and very new to CoD, at least most will recognize that it isn’t a copy and pasted game. Then all we’d have to deal with is “lolololololol Titanfall 2 Cod sux copies Titanfall”

      • MrJDGuns1

imagine if they added abilities but each one had a downside, so you could choose supper strength, allowing you to pass through doors which you couldn’t before or rip off car doors to gain new things in the map and the downside could be you could move 10% slower.

        • kyr95

Also new level not only unlocks guns but also gives you a special point for exosceleton suit upgrade, that’d be awesome

          • MrJDGuns1

            Sledgehammer better be listening.

          • kyr95

Im pretty sure theyve thought something like that 😉 They wont dissapoint us im sure

        • Kenneh

          That would be ideal

    • Steve Roberts

Ya well the biggest changes need to be ACTUAL dedicated servers, not this hybrid shit and also to fix the horrible spawns.. All the new stuff is going to be amazing BUT the cloaking? it better not be in multiplayer or the game is ruined before you even buy it

      • MrJDGuns1

firstly i am sure the cloak won’t be in multiplier and don’t forget they have had 3 years, possibly longer to sort everything out. This includes servers’ spawns, maps, balance.

        • Steve Roberts

Didn’t it take 3 years to make Ghosts? We all see how that game ended up

          • MrJDGuns1

2 maybe less including that they worked on dlc in the first half of the year after mw3 released

          • Steve Roberts

oh ok well as long as they have the stuff i listed for the new cod.. which isn’t hard to do, as long as they wont be cheap asses with the servers, they have my money.. everything else is just a bonus.

    • Fighter

I hope everyone has the suits on in MP, because if it’s just a kill streak then they will loose out on so much possibilities and inovated stuff they could do.

  • I don’t want to be all the time in an exoskeleton 🙁

    • sahzoom

So you dont want to have a new type of gameplay thats different and exciting where you can scale walls and jump on to rooftops? Boring…

    • me too! looks too bulky

  • Sup3r Solider

So guys ready to have access to some kickass exoskeletons

    • Baruck obuma

  • “Players can also choose between standard ammunition and an all-new class of directed-energy weaponry that enables totally new gameplay dynamics”

    Now that, sounds badass

    • MrJDGuns1

The problem with that is the standard ammunition would become a useless thing as other ammunition has extra benefits

      • kyr95

Maybe the special ammunition is limited 😉

        • MrJDGuns1

yeah i didn’t think of that.

      • TheShadowReaper

while the energy ammunition you will be able to do some crazy shit probably, the standard ammunition isnt going to be useless. there is nothing in this world like a good amount of lead being poured into your opponent. never underestimate the power of standard ammunition. 😉

        • boomiseebrain

Maybe The energy will cost more bullets to kill but when they die there’s an electric shock that goes into other enemies injuring them

          • TheShadowReaper

that sounds too much sci-fi but its a possibility.

      • rolky

Special ammo (maybe plasma rounds or whateverit will be) will probably be an attachment for your weapon mod, just like extended mags and armor piercing bullets

        • tarfeef101

It may be more like energy beams which have to recharge and require more precision.

      • Planetside 2 made it work. One of the 3 factions uses Laser rifles with unlimited ammo, instead of bullets with limited ammo.

        Game runs perfectly balanced

    • HavoK Fest

Sounds like Halo Covenant weaponry to me…and the hover bikes are obviously stolen from Halo’s Ghosts

      • jordanxbrookes

It’s not stolen you fool, otherwise every game would be stealing off each other, and the world would go to chaos.

      • boomiseebrain

They are actually used by the army -.- We have made real hover bikes

    • HenryDF

And yet everyone will HATE it by January 2015.

      • ccrows

As soon as the DLC drops, trolls come out of the woodwork and hate on the “Current COD” just for the sake of hating on the “Current COD”.

In general I love COD (and that includes BOTH BO2 & Ghosts) but I HATE “The predictable COD cycle”… 🙁

        • jordanxbrookes

What IF, this year changes everything? Like, power changes everything. 😉

          • no, not in a million years sadly

          • MotherRussian

We wont know till we see it..

          • Baruck obuma

            Lol Jordan you were wrong

  • Mitch
    • Kenneh

      Where’d you find that?

      • Mitch

        Gamestop (it’s in the link)

    • HenryDF

It’s the kind of camo I like – minimalistic and white. I’m one of the few people who likes the latest Hex camo too.

Do you know if you get the camo from GameStop UK too? Because it’s only £45 there, but £55 at GAME UK (and Amazon).

      • jordanxbrookes

        I love Hex too.

    • SoulTaker

      Is that the Honeybadger?O_o

Whoops I thought that picture was a picture from a weapon in the COD A.W my bad.

      • Mitch

        I guess, it’s for Ghosts 🙂

  • 111AlaN111

Until now this game looks amazing! I hope the game IS amazing.

  • Adam

The trailer looks very meh. I’m just glad it’s not MW4. Still not even going to contemplate buying if there’s no 4 player split screen.

    • 4-player split-screen? That wouldn’t work very well.

      • Adam

Apparently you’ve never played CoD, 2, 3, 4, [email protected], MW2, BO1, MW3, or BO2. Because it was in all of them. Ghosts was the first game without it.

        • boomiseebrain

I loved it, In [email protected] 4 Player on dome and everyone only has a springfeild. Very awesome

        • I played COD4, MW3 and BO1+2 but I don’t remember that. I don’t think it would work very well.

    • Mitch

offline or online 4 player split screen?

      • Adam

    • SoulTaker

4 player split screen is what will make you buy this game?O_o

    • Dolf Muccillo

100% agree! No 4-player split screen, no buy! We play COD at our office and our XBox One and Ghosts have sat collecting dust because it doesn’t have a 4 player option. We’re buying a Wii U and Mario Kart tomorrow so we’ll have a cool 4 player game. I hope SledgeHammer is listening! 😉

  • HenryDF

    Latest image

  • SoulTaker

Looks like Sledgehammer trying to bring it all out. It’s go big or go home time for them.

  • Jacky Liang

From what Drift0r said a couple months ago when he said he saw a trailer for the next CoD, he said he mentioned seeing a gun that looked like one of the new DLC CoD guns with its futuristic gunsight and dual SMG/AR capabilities. Looking at this trailer, I think Drift0r was right.

    • boomiseebrain

      When isn’t he?

  • GamerSam99

New pic of camo and reticle for preorder:

    • MMinja12

      it kinds sucks

      • GamerSam99

the reticle does at least… Too obtrusive

    • HotHam

that looks bad ass to me

  • Run N Gunning Camper

That futuristic Osprey better be a killstreak.

  • Ryumoau

OMG! The description on all the new gameplay additions sound awesome! The story sounds like it will be the best in years. So glad this looks next gen as well. 🙂

  • Brandon Cox

Doesn’t sound like a winner to me. I HATED DUST514 as well as HaLo, and it seems A.W. is going in that direction. Will not be buying this one

  • tarfeef101

Uh -oh. My sixth sense is telling me that they’re trying to do too much and the basic functionality of multiplayer will not be present, and people will be exploiting the Shit out if all this new stuff to camp harder and use more stealth.

  • Tyrant Era

    Can not wait for this.

  • tarfeef101

Honestly I think they should add a ten second (or less) stillness bomb so people literally can’t camp, and greatly reduce stealth, bring back stopping power and juggs, and life would be much better

    • Run N Gunning Camper

I disagree. COD isn’t made just for run and gunners. The more varied play styles the better. The campers and tactical players I met online are generally better than the wannabe run and gunners who can’t keep a positive KD in TDM.

Those pesky run and gunners who don’t know what they are doing and goes 3-18 can single- handedly cost you a TDM game. You get one or two of those dummies and you’ll lose even if I put on 30+ kills and less than 10 deaths.

You call them out and they will make lame excuses like “at least I didn’t camp.”

      • Call of Doody

camping isnt much of an issue on PC as you can peak at corners and back extremely fast with no issues. with a controller its a bit more complicated, as CoDs focus are on consoles, being anti camping would benefit the game IMO but yet again run and gun vs camping could lead down to SH map design (Y)

        • Run N Gunning Camper

I must concede that Ghosts maps plays slow. However, map design doesn’t mean much and campers will still camp and tactical players will still play their way. BO2 have a lot of easy and small maps yet people like me still managed to camp.

      • tarfeef101

They generally have better stats. They aren’t better players. Sitting in a corner waiting for someone to walk in front of you takes no skill. At least for those 3 of 18 kills the bad rusher showed some skill. And there are plenty of us with great skills as well, and yes we even go positive in TDM

  • Jack Meoff

  • Choppabro2psn

50 percent of my like for this game quickly vanished when I saw the who dlc xbox priority. But silly me, I should have known it’d be this way.

  • mothafucatrucamuca

just watch as everyone says this game is shit by february, JUST WATCCCHHHH IT HAPPEN

  • StalkerDellaNote

Do CoD devs like losing customers? I HATE FUTURE GAMES!! is exact reason why I don’t play Halo, why I stopped playing CoD, why I’ll never play Titanfall.. It’s why I wanna punch my brother in the face when he talks about Starbound.. FUTURISTIC GAMES ARE GARBAGE.. I’ll wait til 2015 CoD

    • JKB98

Losing customers? The future is a hell of a lot more interesting era than the boring dried-up ‘modern’ one of that.

      • StalkerDellaNote

Venture into the past, stop doing what is expected.. the norm.. make another black ops.. Cold War CoD.. do desert storm era.. something.. none of this shit.. WW2 got played out, Modern War = Played out, future warfare = too played out.. bring something fresh and interesting.. this Titanfall 2 garbage is sad..

I’m literally only going to buy this because of Kevin Spacey.. I love him

        • Xecho

VVovv you guys are so lame. The future area has only been played out since BO2 came here. Future is still nevv I guess everyone is tired of it because of BO2. Seriously…. Future genre is still nevv

  • fulzee

So I’ve been hearing people say that this is “just a Titanfall rip off”.
That statement is an oxymoron in itself. This game has been in development since 2011.

Weren’t people saying about two months ago that Titanfall was just a rip off of cod? Make up your minds people!
