The new West and Zampella, NO! They’re better 😀

    • YG

      Can’t be for sure

    • StrayHeart93

I wouldn’t say they are better

But they are on the right track

      • Abraham

They are definitely new and creative. Only time will tell if there on the right track though. The game is visually gorgeous, but the overall multiplayer gameplay will be what makes or breaks the entire game.

      • iTYPE 2 ANNOY U

You’re fucking hot, can I take you on a date to Taco Bell ? I will pay for you. But you can only pick a maximum of three items because I’m kinda low on cash. What do you say?

        • Hilarious.

        • I’ll bash ur head m8 if you dare to touch her

          • iTYPE 2 ANNOY U

            U WOT M8

          • 1v1 in farmville fgt

        • StrayHeart93

          I’m a lesbian

          Sorry ^_^

          • iTYPE 2 ANNOY U

hey now, I didn’t say “fuck me” I JUST WANNA BUY YOU TACO BELL….sheesh….You just missed out on some free Taco Bell…

    • Rorke File

You can not replace them …

    • Grenada!

Why are you coming to this conclusion when you haven’t even played their game yet? Don’t get blinded by the hype.

  • Plato/Tomato

Imagine having to talk to the gaming press all day.

    • iTYPE 2 ANNOY U

      i wouldn’t mind at all

  • Will WilFredo Mendoza

    Anyone else pumped up??? 🙂

    • jordanxbrookes

I’m pretty sure the majority of us fans are pumped up 🙂

      • iTYPE 2 ANNOY U

        don’t make assumptions

        • Siftblade of Rivia

          Keywords “Pretty sure” and “majority.”

          • iTYPE 2 ANNOY U

“pretty sure” only means that he is unsure of his assumption.
“majority” is the amount that he is making the assumption for.
it’s still an assumption and one that he should not make.

          • Siftblade of Rivia

It’s still an assumption, but it is reasonable. Based on all the hype on this website, it is safe to say the majority of us are hyped for the game. You’re saying don’t make assumptions as if he’s completely wrong.

          • iTYPE 2 ANNOY U

making assumptions is bad especially since he is trying to speak for the majority of people

          • Siftblade of Rivia

He’s speaking about the majority of people on this site, which is true, since based on previous comments by most people who comment on this site, people are hyped. He also says pretty sure, which shows he could be wrong about his assumption, even though he’s pretty sure it’s correct. It’s an educated assumption.

          • iTYPE 2 ANNOY U

he needs to be more respectful for everyone here, so like i said, he should not be speaking for so many people.

          • Battlefield fanboy 46

Are you serious? The majority of people on this site are hyped for the game, and he’s speaking about the majority. He’s showing respect so why are you complaining? He has the right to speak to that many people if most of us are hyped for the game. Where have you been the past couple weeks? Under a rock?
            Your statement was absurd.

          • iTYPE 2 ANNOY U

indeed my statement made no sense yet people don’t realize i say something that doesn’t make sense on purpose just to mess with them….as if my name doesn’t provide a hint i mean COME ON PEOPLE BAHAHAHAH

          • “he needs to be more respectful for everyone here”
            Oh, the irony…

          • ccrows

Hey Sift (or anyone else reading that knows),

Since you’ve been keeping up on the AW coverage, has SH said anything about Specialist or MOABS/Nukes yet?

I’m sure that news is “too soon”, just wondering if they talked about any of that stuff yet. TIA…

          • The Telephone Pole

I’ve seen every Advanced Warfare article from this year. And there is nothing. Will SH follow their MW3 work (MOAB). Or go with Treyarch (no BIG killstreak). Who knows?

          • Batman

No nukes because of e sports

          • Siftblade of Rivia

Nope, probably too soon. They like to announce those with the MP reveal, like with Ghosts and the destructible map on Strikezone.

          • ccrows

Figured as much, but said F*** it and ask since you were following the interviews already. Sometimes Devs talk about that stuff early B4 the MP reveal in Aug.

Hoping that stuff (specialist/nukes) is at least in.

            Anywhoo. Thx… 🙂

          • Siftblade of Rivia

Lol yeah, no problem. Maybe if one of the interviewers asked if there will be nuclears, we might get a confirmation. I think BO2 early before it’s MP reveal said there was something related to a 30 kill streak but they can’t say anything. Turns out it was just a medal. But no interview that I’ve watched has asked yet.

    • Grenada!

Sort of but I mean at the end of the day it’s just another CoD game and i’ll have to play it before I judge it. IMO CoD’s golden days are gone.

  • Eternal Flame

Patience is a virtue, my friends. The excitement is great, but I think everyone is a ‘little’ too excited.
Personally I’m looking forward to the campaign. The characters are emotive, and their reactions (facial expression, intonation of speech) are realistic. I can count on the spectacular narrative to make me feel immersed. ‘Augmented Reality’ is a step in the right direction. By removing the traditional HUD and re-positioning the vital information on your weapon was a good decision.
I’m happy that they’ve stuck with the traditional sequence of events in the lead up to the release of the game. The showcase of Campaign comes first, at E3, as it is the most significant aspect of any Call of Duty game. Then comes the multiplayer, and finally the newly invented ‘co-op’ mode. SH Games has done well so far. Let’s keep the ball rolling; nice and steady.

    • Xecho

      screw virtues

    • Ryumoau

agreed. i like that they put so much effort into campaign and are taking the time to discuss it first.

    • sweg

Right now: This game looks amazing they are going in the right direction

6 months later: This game is broken hopefully treyarch know what they are doing.

I’m not judging this game until I’ve seen the multiplayer. I’m worried about the boost jump and all the future shit I like cod the way it is plain and simple. Hopefully sledgehammer games understand what the fans want if they do it will be a good game.

      • Sentinel

“Plain and simple” Lmao Df do you think this is? Its Advanced Warfare! Learn how to adapt to the changes, if not. Go back nd play COD4. & The real fans wanted a change and new COD and SHG delivers that to the franchise.

      • jordanxbrookes

In the words of Triple H, you either learn to adapt or perish, so adapt.

        • Bob Loblaw

Or you complain so much collectively they change the game for you so you don’t have to adapt. That’s how this shit has gotten so out of hand, the constant nipple feeding of the thumbless consumer zombies is killing the industry. You can’t even maintain proper map control because of all the thumbless crybabies crying “spawn trap” and now they have the nerve to complain about bad spawns.

Sorry for the rant but I hate when idiots post “lrn2adapt”, makes me want to strangle christmas kittens.

    • Grenada!

Yeah, don’t get too excited because it could end up sucking like MW3 and Ghosts.

  • Wraith

New upgrading system, wonder what the exact details of that are.

    • Prince Of The City.

My thoughts exactly! Maybe a new take on pro perks? It would be cool if they somehow brought that back in a new, innovative fashion.. Idk.. I guess well see in a few months lol

    • Xecho

By new upgrading system they mean by suit because before you enter a campaign mission you get some sort of reward thing that makes you be able to unlock certain abilities of the exo suit. They said this already on a certain interview.

      • RdJokr

In a way, it’s like unlocking the weapons and perks in BO2 campaign, except you use mission points and not complete specific challenges.

  • jordanxbrookes

Guys Drift0r said that he saw what appeared to be multiplayer disguised as campaign gameplay behind closed doors, and said that the boost jumps acted like a normal jump rather than a double jump, does this mean Pro perks are returning? Normal version you have to double jump, Pro version just need to jump once? Idk, things are getting a little crazy round here.

    • Bigi345

      Hey i like crazy fun

    • Siftblade of Rivia

Or maybe we don’t have double jumps in Online, just enhanced jumps.

      • jordanxbrookes

Possible, I still like Pro perks back, they were the best, then Black Ops 2 removed them 🙁

        • Siftblade of Rivia

Yeah, pro perks rewarded you for using a certain perk well, which is how it should be imo. I liked the idea of upgrading your perks by completing challenges.

          • TheShadowReaper

while i liked pro perks there a lot of problems regarding them and one of those was that they gave you too much of added bonuses once you turned them pro. it was like play League of Legends and have a blue and red buff and suddenly you earned a Baron Nashor buff. it was over the top and another problem with them was that most pro bonuses made no sense regarding the original perk. pro perks were a mess. they were fun but a mess.

          • Siftblade of Rivia

I’m thinking BO1 pro perks. Take the BO2 perks and spilt them, that way they’d become pro perks. Lightweight will make you run faster, but pro will make you take no fall damage. Scavenger will refill your ammo, but pro will resupply your grenades and tacticals. We’re not making the already existing perks stronger, we’re making the pro perks the same as the ones we have now, and the normal perks weaker. Idk how it works in League, but that’s what BO1 did.

          • TheShadowReaper

well the League buffs i talked about have nothing in common with COD pro perks other than they give a rather ridiculous additional effect.

pro perks were fine its just that some of them didnt really made sense to me. some were amazingly well balanced but others werent. i cant really say though that Ghosts perks are balanced cause they took out the fun of the game by making every perk giving such a small effect just for the sake of balancing but oh well…you cant please everyone i guess.

        • TheShadowReaper

wait BO2 removed them? i though it was MW3.

edit: dont mind me and my short term memory. it was BO2.

          • jordanxbrookes

            Yeah, Vonderhaar removed them :'(

    • Personaly, i loved the Pro versions of perks in MW3. I still play MP and gotta say, they are really useful.

    • Batman

Pro perks makes me want to keep playing the game I love them

    • Grenada!

The boost jump better be in MP and it better not be through a perk, I want everyone to have it otherwise it’s just going to be another CoD game that won’t change up how we play.

  • The Telephone Pole

The creators of Dead Space are making Advanced Warfare. While the company of Dead Space are making BF:Hardline. Seems like an interesting conflict.

    • Simon

Visceral is only making the campaign.. BF:H multiplayer is still DICE.

      • RdJokr

Still, when we’re talking campaign, it’s Dead Space dev vs. ex-Dead Space dev. An interesting competition, especially since Visceral hasn’t really made bad singleplayer games before, so it could break the trend of wack BF campaigns.

  • Ghost

I hope this game turns out good. If it doesn’t, I won’t be surprised!

  • Found an article about Exo Suit possibilities, which Mitchell can use.

He can cloak himself to blend in with foliage and become invisible to enemy soldiers (but not, crucially, seeker drones, which can see through the electromagnetic fakery). He can push an upturned ice cream van down the street to provide cover for his allies. In Call of Duty the protagonists have always been one-man armies who triumph against overwhelming odds. Here, the subtext is made explicit: you play a superhero.

  • AngryCODfan

”we couldn’t have pulled this off on last generation” even though it’s going to be on the old gen!?

It’s all a con. This engine is probably still the Quake one from 1998 that they used as a ‘new engine’ in Ghosts.

All these gimmicks have been seen in games for the last two decades so this isn’t representing anything new. Even Far Cry 2 looks better. Disappointed so far.

    • hi

if you think far cry 2 looks better than this game , you sir are blind or need new glasses or something..

    • It’s being ported to previous-gen by a different team so they don’t have to focus on it. The game engine is based off the Quake 3 engine, but still heavily improved. And Far Cry 2 doesn’t look better.

      • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

Don’t even know why they’re marketing the engine as new when it’s 95-99% new. 100% new is new.

        • Whoa

oh i don’t know maybe because the majority of it is new. Also they need to have a little bit of the quake engine in order to make it have that “Cod feeling” or else the only way you can tell it’s called it’s by the title.

          • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

Yeah the old engine is unrecognizable so I think that’s what defines it as new in my book, forgive me, I’m just skeptical and I don’t want to look like a corporate sheep.

          • Grenada!

It’s not hard to tell that it’s still the same engine. lmao

          • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

It’s not the same engine, that’s a fact. It’s been replaced this time around that there are only very few lines of old coding left. Unrecognizable = new. Frostbite and Source are new engines because the engines that they upgraded cannot be recognized.

        • All games that are entering the Next Gen must have some old lines of code left.
If you say so, BF:H engine isn’t new as well.

          • Brady the Defiled (sillibk)

I was getting to that. People keep saying “yeah they’re lying this engine is not new” but my rebuttal to that is the Source engine. GoldSRC is heavily upgraded Quake and Source is heavily upgraded GoldSRC, so there’s still some Quake code left, however, people regard it as a new engine because the old coding is unrecognizable. No matter what, there are some games with lines of coding that do the same functions as others but with different engines, although completely coincidental, that’s how programming works.

Forgive me I’m just skeptical because I’m tired of CoD devs lying, I really do think the engine is new.

    • Grenada!

It is the same engine but it’s just modified. It doesn’t take a genius to tell that it’s the same engine, just watch the gameplay.

  • Brady the Defiled (sillibk) This is a really good interview with Michael and Glen, and plus I see this interview as their retaliation to the people who say that they copied this game off of others (around 7:25 in).
