Infinity Ward has released a new batch of micro items for Call of Duty: Ghosts today on Xbox LIVE for both Xbox One and Xbox 360.

  • The Maverick – $3.99

Outfitted with a lightweight wood stock and a digital screen display, players can choose to use the Maverick as either an assault rifle or sniper rifle, depending on their tactical needs. As an Assault Rifle the weapon’s fire rate becomes fully auto with relatively high damage at range, and as a Sniper Rifle the Maverick sports an advanced scope and a semi-auto rate of fire.

  • The Ripper – $3.99

Provides players with two different configurations: medium to short-range capability as a Sub Machine-Gun (SMG), and medium to long-range as an Assault Rifle (AR). This unique 2-in-1 weapon has the ability to switch from SMG to AR and back again on the fly in the midst of battle, at the touch of a button, giving maximum flexibility to adjust to a variety of map types and tactics.

These items are available now on Xbox LIVE and will release on PSN & PC in the near future.

  • DimitriAkaMewee

More micro DLC?! I would rather spend 5-10 dollars on DLC weapon packs rather than these camos and characters u barely notice or see. Anyone agree? I’m hoping we get a DLC weapon in the 4th MapPack so they don’t pull another BO2 Peacekeeper situation. All 4 MapPacks should have weapons

    • Keshav Bhat

For Black Ops 2, they never said all packs would have DLC. There was only one gun because there was no more memory available for more weapons.

For Ghosts, similarly, they never promised a new weapon for each map pack.

      • DimitriAkaMewee

I never said they promised guns for each MapPack, I was stating how in BO2 they got us pumped up and pulled a dirty buisness move to get our money for season pass and didn’t release any more weapons. Ghosts on the other hand has the capabilities to release DLC weapons cuz it’s on a new engine with more RAAM. Maybe if they stopped selling all these Camo packs there would be space for DLC weapon packs. I don’t care what treyarch releases with their camos and if they still care I’m just a consumer who wants more value out of the season pass. Hopefully Advanced Warfare gives us double the value

        • bob

Yes, because using a new engine suddenly gives you more RAM to deal with. Do you even know what RAM is? Also, the only engine changes were minor for ghosts. They have next gen consoles and no theater mode which freed up resources.

  • jordanxbrookes

*BANG! BANG! BANG!* Can I have some decorum please…

    • I don’t understand this. Explanation, please?

      • demonikoala1

        It’s from WWE.

      • jordanxbrookes

It’s Bad News Barrett giving Infinity Ward some bad news 😉

        • Justin

I don’t understand what the bad news is

        • Why do you need some decorum? What’s the bad news? THE QUESTIONS ARE FLOWING OUT OF ME LIKE LAVA! *Bad brides maid joke* *(That’s a movie for those of you who just IUnno)*

  • Stealth_Valtsu

Fu** micro DLC! PS: Ghosts’ camo DLCs suck compared to BO2 camos

    • You don’t have to buy it, so what’s the problem?

      • HotHam

He’s just trying to fit in with every other person bitching. Most of black ops 2s were shit anyway.

        • I think the zombie ones after Ghosts came out were the best ones, but BO2 still had better camos than Ghosts

      • Stealth_Valtsu

Basically I just don’t like them at all. Yep I don’t have to buy them but still… hate

  • jooker-jr

thats too much IW. just too much

    • Baldmanz_RAGE

I agree. But the sad truth is IW is probably making way more money on Micro DLC than game sales and or DLC map sales. It is just like buying a phone app for $1 each versus $15 for a map pack. People (myself not included) probably free like spending 1-3 dollars is easier to deal with than a $15 chunk. The sad thing is if you buy a lot of these 1-3 dollars things you are probably spending more than $15 dollars in the long run. Capitalism at its finest!!!

  • ccrows

In before people start bitching. If you don’t want it, then STFU and don’t buy it.

& For the “double standard fanboys” Treyarch could release a pack next week and you guys would be like “OH Treyarch still cares about their fans! Thank you Treyarch!”

FTR I like BOTH Ghosts and BO2, and yes I will buy camos if I think they look good for either game.

Anywhoo.. Please save us the fanboy trolling, some of us actually like this stuff (for either game)…

    • jooker-jr

but why season pass owners didn’t get any one of them ?

      • jordanxbrookes

Because the Season Pass gets you the 4 map packs, not the micro-transactions. It even states it on it.

        • jooker-jr

i think including the micro-DLCs ( or even some of them ) will make the season pass better and more valuable

          • Rohan Bhuchar

And it would then cost more for a season pass.

          • Basenji

Activision has included micro DLC in the season pass. Before BO2 you never obtained weapons within season passes. I agree that more would be better, but as it stands, there is more content in the season pass now than ever before.

          • Basenji

I’m sorry that you are so ignorant that you can not comprehend my post. Why you had to reply with an insult that makes zero sense is beyond me. I clearly stated “Before BO2” Learn to read, your statement is invalid.

          • There’s never been weapon DLC, nor micro transactions until Black Ops 2 (MW3’s shitty Elite Founder doesn’t count). So either you typo’d or you’re just plain wrong.

          • Basenji

Let me REPOST my reply from before, with emphasis.

“Activision HAS included micro DLC in the season pass.” “BEFORE BO2 YOU NEVER OBTAINED WEAPONS within season passes.” “I agree that more would be better, but as it stands, there is more content in the season pass now than ever before.”

          • Holy shit I’m so sorry. I’ve been baked to the point I could say I’m wrecked. I’m so sorry .

          • Basenji

LMAO. It’s all cool. I’ve been there before.

          • Charles

But the dlc weapons have never been Micro DLC it has been included with the season pass so I don’t think they could be considered “micro dlc”

          • Basenji

Until now. But I see what you mean for BO2.

          • Endo Flawless

Yea because getting the 4 map packs for the price of 3, +Ripper and Maverick early is a bad deal? As consumers we see the micro transactions of games as bad, yet no one wants to understand how much it would actually take to finally make a next gen CoD engine. How many FPS games actually have the precision of controls that cod has? This is what keeps CoD alive not the worsening concepts added in everyone hates and forum bitches about. Games that FEEL better when played get more of a following. This is why Halo died out after 3, the sloppy transition from run to shoot makes it clunky, then the bad movement impairment penalty while sprinting just again sloppy.

          • Yes, the 4 map packs for the price of 3 is a bad deal.

          • Grenada!

Especially when the map packs are already over priced.

          • Exactly, 3$ for a single map… NOPE.

          • jooker-jr

im not saying its bad ( any discount is good ) but it will make people who bought the season pass a bit happier

          • Joeldagod

you get 1 free camo and character customization from each micro dlc drop

          • Stealth_Valtsu

I agree! BF Premiums cost the same but gives you much much more stuff. 5 DLCs and bonus items. Defenetly better than CoD season pass. BTW I wasted my money on ghosts season pass!

          • fires

dont forget that all the weapons are pretty much copy n paste from BF3.

          • CriTicaL

season pass should give half off for micro dlc but it will never be free.

        • MichiganerE

Meanwhile with Battlefield 4, when you buy premium for $50.00, you get literally everything DLC for free.

          • Stealth_Valtsu

Plus bonus customisation items. I waisted my money on Season Pass. Ghosts aren’t real

          • justchill

In my opinion they are making us buy micro dlc so they can improve their game, hire more staff etc.It is like a fundraising but the volunteer gets something in return

          • IceKoldKilla

BF4 Premium is on discount for PlayStation. $40 for PS+ and $45 for the rest I think. Or maybe less.

          • MichiganerE

            Really now?

      • People must stop complaining about this and read what it says

    • Nandoni

I agree, if a camo looks good and I feel the need to buy it, I buy it, when it looks terrible, I don’t waste my money on it. It’s as simple as that.

I’m glad that IW has released these new camos because it is something new to the game. They should also give you the option of buying more soldiers to unlock more prestiges!

    • Justin

      Spot fucking on, my friend.

    • We’re not bitching because it’s DLC, we’re bitching because it’s bad DLC. When we were buying animated, bright, vibrant, fun to look at camos, and 3 unique reticles, and playercard backgrounds, a lot of which were animated, now we’re paying the same money for terribly designed camo’s, uninteresting, repetitive backgrounds, patches, and ONE RETICLE, which are useless and obstruct view, and we are pissed because we know IW can do better, but they choose not to and just milk the shit out of this game. Black Ops 2’s last micro DLC was last month, and it’s 20 months old. Ghosts has been out for 8, and it has more DLC than BO2, and none of IW’s micro DLC even comes close to the quality and effort Treyarch put into their content. Explained in this imaginary conversation.

3arc: “Oh hey bud! Did you see the Dragon Camo?! It has reflective scales and you can see lava flowing under them!”
IW: “Oh, that’s cool! Did you see the Inferno Camo?”
3arc: “No, not yet. What’s it look like?”
IW: “It’s a bunch of red, orange, and yellow cartoon flames!”
3arc: “That’s cool! Does it glow?”
      IW: “No.”
3arc, “Huh, well the reticles must be cool!”
IW: Yeah, our reticle us cool. It’s a flaming ‘U’.”
3arc: “Just one? Oh, no matter. You must have had a lot of cool ideas for the background!”
IW: “We just reused the pattern for our backgrounds. Hey, how much are you selling your camo’s for anyways?”
      3arc: “$2.99, you?”
      IW: “2.99…”
      3arc: “Oh..”
      IW: “…”
      3arc: “…”

      • jordanxbrookes

        Someone’s grumpy^^

        • Not grumpy, I’m just simply explaining that Infinity Ward is ripping consumers off, and I encourage people to get mad. We should be getting a lot more effort and a higher quality of product. The only positive point it’s getting from me, is on PS4, the camo textures are crisp, maybe. I spend so much time watching the textures rendering because of theire shitty last gen texture caching, so it might look shittier than if it were optimized..

          • UpRiftCOD

I think we have enough angry fan boys thank you very much. I dont really care that much about the micro items. In fact I think most of the camos are pretty cool. I think that treyarch set the bar too high for infinity ward and they couldn’t match it.

          • Only uprise will bring change. We’ve been doing this shit for centuries.

        • IceKoldKilla

He told the truth. He laid down facts. Those reticles are meant for you to not see anything through the sights. Ruins it. Activision greedy fucks

      • Mr Doge

Although I didn’t give a crap about Micro DLC, I’m kinda pissed they decided to release the DLC guns as Micro DLC. I mean come on I didn’t think they were milking it till this point.

    • 101

I see the gun dlc is bs

    • AgainstAllCampers

Your a Ghost fanboy we know you want have a nice camo so when get on your favorite corner to camp you’ll feel a little more proud of yourself.

  • Activision, at least make it to be like CS:GO’s system. Please.

  • billy

I’m happy about the Ripper because I don’t need to waste money on the maps.

  • Bigi345

I’m not going to complain on the gun micro transactions. Going to complain on people’s overreaction to the gun micro transactions

    • Plato/Tomato

I’m kind of happy about it. Now I can get the gun DLC without having to be put in a littler pool of players.

  • Luis

Season Pass should get AT LEAST 1 camo.We put down 50 bucks dude!Dam

    • Edwin Cortez

It has one camo. The ice camo that comes with the season pass.

    • Mitch

Well, Season Pass holders do actually get some exclusive content you can’t get in any other way.

  • Rorke File

    Go patch the game first

  • jordanxbrookes

Where is the image for the abstract pack?

  • Guest

The only real reason I bought the DLC was for the weapons (not the only reason, but the tipping point factor). Well at least I can buy the Ripper (again) and not have to plug in my USB to use it. I still play DLC, but they cause a bit of lag (I guess due to population) so at least now I can use the weapons all the time. I have some reward points in my microsoft account so I guess it won’t be a complete waste to rebuy them.

  • Baldmanz_RAGE

LOL! They now know that people are not buying the DLC maps so they will just sell the weapon by itself. Too freakin funny!!!

    • pulseimpact

I don’t mind it, and I bought the DLC. I have DLC on USB and often take it out because of lag so I always wanted a way to use the guns. I just wanted the MW3 feature of turning off the maps, but I guess this was IW’s way of doing it.

      • UpRiftCOD

I know, its annoying. The only way I can stop playing dlc maps is if I delete the entire game.

    • Nate Pouncey

A lot of people bought the DLC maps. They’re releasing the DLC weapons to save money for those who like extra weapons, but don’t want the extra maps. A lot of people have been asking for it.

I don’t see how listening to the community deserves to be laughed at.

      • Baldmanz_RAGE

That is the genius thing about it. Activision wants you to think they are listening to the community by selling just the weapon but the reality is they are not selling a lot of the DLC maps and realize they can get money out of you by just selling the guns. Why didn’t they do this to begin with. Why, because they wanted to force you to by the DLC maps to get the gun. That failed so now they are getting the money however they can. Don’t kid yourself, Activision only cares about money. And you are falling right into the trap. If they cared about the people who buy the game they wouldn’t sell stuff that is better then what the game shipped with. IW made a half assed game and expect suckers to line up to buy these micro transactions to make the game playable. I say again GENIUS!!!!!

  • Damien Anderson

I’m a huge fan of this game and even I think this batch of camos looks just as crap as the ducky camo. WTF IW how is a tattoo camo in any way related to a nautical theme?

    • pulseimpact

100% agree. I really like Ghosts, but the camos are extremely disappointing. The character skins are even worse. They just copied the war cry armor and now paint it with some cheap camos. So lazy.

      • Damien Anderson

You would think IW would put dlc camos on the other headgears like DEVGRU Dominator, or Intimidator. Not just retexture the clan wars ones.

  • Guest

At least Season Pass owners got the Ripper earlier

  • Tayler Hammond

4 fucking dollars for 1 weapon???
Dude! Nobody is going to buy something that overpriced! maybe for a dollar.

    • Hector Hernandez

Yes they will, I seen alot of people buying the camo packs that look really ridiculous or the announcer voice pack.

  • There should be a button like on MW3, where you can play with or without the DLC maps, but keep the weapons since they are now available for everyone for $4. And yes, I know you can put the DLC packs on a USB, but it’ll still take away the weapons. There should be a way of doing that

  • Siftblade of Rivia

Nebula looks cool, other than that, meh. I actually like that they’re selling the gun DLCs as micro, because now you aren’t forced to pay $15 to use a gun. However, I do not want micro DLC guns in the future. If the guns were already in the DLC, fine, sell them later as micro DLC. But do not sell them on their own, making it pay to win.

    • Damien Anderson

Idk man. You wouldn’t pay, say, $2 to use the Intervention or the HK21 again?

      • Siftblade of Rivia

When you start having to pay to use guns in a COD game is when I stop playing. Imagine opening create a class to choose a gun. You pick ARs. The default guns are all regular. But all the cool guns that are unique or powerful cost $4 each to use. The reason idc about micro DLC for camos is because it doesn’t affect gameplay and they’re optional. But when you have to pay to use a gun so that you aren’t at a disadvantage every time you play TDM, there’s a problem. Let’s say they make a gun called the shredder or something. It’s extremely good, but it’s a micro DLC gun. You join a lobby using the game’s default guns, but you can’t win a gunfight because everyone is using a shredder. Now imagine there are a shredder and 15 other OP weapons that people can buy to help them win. That’s when a game becomes pay to win. And that’s when I quit.

  • TheShadowReaper

what i dont like is microtransactions for a game i already payed for. i dont care who likes them or dislikes them cause of taste. this is a bad concept for gaming and if it continues we will probably see games sold off in parts and be called DLC/microDLC. Forza and Gran Turismo anyone? this needs to stop and whoever buys them has to stop buying them. i dont care if you like them but by buying them you do a huge load of bad to the industry altogether. time to stop already.

    • Siftblade of Rivia

Why would they ever stop? Unless you convince everybody to stop buying it, they’ll always make a profit. What do they lose from retexturing a gun? Nothing. Barely any time or resources for most of the camos and retextured skin packs. But people buy them. So they’re always going to make money. That’s just how it is. I don’t like it either, but I don’t see it ending anytime soon.

      • TheShadowReaper

unfortunately yes, they wont stop buying them. but at least i try to convince people. i dont care if i’m unsuccessful or not, i try. cause this shit aint right. no matter how you put it down.

  • Sal

Ah hell. If I knew the guns would be micro items I would not had bought the DLCs…

  • The banner of Abstract is missing or am I wrong?

  • NEBULA already appeared on Nightfall for a while ago:

    • LORDFIST111

It’s not the same cammo tho.

  • CoDutchHD

well i think it is kind off a rip off, i mean like, they only camo up with the camos, the character packs are just copied from the camos, the only thing i would consider a good thing in this micro dlc is the fact the everyone can get the ripper and maverik now

  • GodLikeLeftNut

i swear half the people that buy all this shit are youtubers trying to get just a load of views…

  • Maccabeus Jamal Whitaker

Can we get some actual camouflages please? Like… not… flames and skulls? The Create a Camo hoax that was going around before the game dropped would’ve been so awesome….

  • Reason i moved back to black ops 2 ^

  • 3arc: “Oh hey bud!
    IW: “…”
    3arc: “…”

And that, ladies and gentleman, is why Ghosts DLC sucks.

  • OmchGaming

Okay, so i bought the Season Pass. For all 4 DLC packs. And now people who don’t have the DLC packs can get the guns? Okay, no offense to others, but this is bullshit. I feel ripped off. (No pun intended) I payed for the maps and the guns. Then they stopped adding guns..and now players can but the guns separate? The fuck? I’m sorry but this is shit. I can also see how people who don’t want to buy the DLC can benefit from this. “But guns were never stated for dlc packs for sure!” Don’t even go there its just stupidity. Sorry. But Ghosts is my last COD. Back to United Offensive i go.

    • LORDFIST111

      Totally agree!

bleh those skins are gay — why can they drop some shit like this — slightly more realistic

    • GodLikeLeftNut

aha would be awesome if SH took a leaf out of the steam community page were camos were designed and voted by the community, then something like this would actually exist xD

  • JackOrJohn

Wow, i’ve been buying the dlc for the guns only, not for the shitty maps. Now they release the guns completely separately almost 2 months after the last has been released?(PS3) omfg…

  • IceKoldKilla

I agree. Season Pass should offer some of these packs. Look at the value of Premium with Battlefield. So much more. Wish CoD Season Passes gave us more. Thanks to fans, CoD has grown a lot! I still remember when CoD 4 on PC got the map pack free, free maps only for PC and dedicated servers. Now they make us pay for everything! I feel the game could have much more! You guys make billions! Look at GTA V with their free DLC updates.

  • Ech!

Again with the character packs? we can’t even see what we look like half the time! IW could at least put in third person mode… But no.

  • Mr Doge

Even though I have no problem with Micro DLC, I’m kind of upset that they decided to release the Ripper and Maverick as Micro DLC. I mean I payed for the Season Pass and I thought that to get the guns you had to buy the DLC packs. If I had known I would of just saved my money and just bought the guns :/

  • Trippy Leatherface

You would have thought they would add new guns since their making the ripper and maverick available for purchase ….. :

  • Black ops 2 is done? Okay. I see how it is.

  • Scarecrow

I hope its soon available for PS4..

  • ratchetrandy

So if I bought the regular game and no add ons, someone will have a tactical advantage over me because they were able to buy two guns, the ripper and maverick sniper rifle? Thats BULLSHIT.

  • Angelreborn96

If we could have a market place like steam, I would sell my map pack 1 to anyone for at least $5.

So since they added in the Maverick and the Ripper DLC packs as Micro
DLC, I hope that means the next waves will have new weapons. I’m hoping
for the M4 on the box art of the limited edition. I’m also hoping for
an ACR, SCAR H, G36C, MP5, MP7, F2000, and a Fully Automatic Famas. We should get two per pack and not have to wait for the last DLC pack to get like one gun. I would totally pay for the guns I mentioned. That’d be awesome!

  • PS4_BOSS

is this only on xbox or on ps4 and when will it come on ps4
    if it does

  • razorbacksfan07

When will ps4 be able to buy weapons separately without buying dlc?
