According to digital games research firm SuperData, this year’s Call of Duty title will be Black Ops 3. The report comes in via their monthly report on the latest sales in gaming.

Despite a month-over-month decline for Destiny, dropping 30% to $9.9 million, Activision is still going strong with no fewer than three titles in the top ten list of worldwide digital console games. According to the company’s CEO, Eric Hirshberg, the Advanced Warfare franchise has now generated over $1 billion in sales. Hirshberg also stated that DLC sales were up year-over-year, indicating that a growing subset of the traditional console gaming audience is adopting digital distribution. This month’s success sets the stage for the hotly anticipated fall release of Call of Duty Black Ops 3.

According to their report, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was the top earning title in February 2015. In addition, they have also stated that Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg has confirmed that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare sales have passed $1 billion.

This information is not official as of now. Activision has yet to announce any details regarding Call of Duty 2015 other than the fact that Treyarch is developing the game. We’ll update as we learn more about this.
