We all knew Call of Duty Black Ops 3 would dominate the charts the first week but we had no idea that Current-gen would dominate by that much. It appears gamers are finally ready to leave last-gen behind with only 9% of console sales being on Xbox 360 and PS3. Of course, last minute images and leaked gameplay of last-gen probably didn’t help either…

UK all-formats chart top 10:

  1. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
  2. FIFA 16
  3. Need for Speed
  4. Halo 5: Guardians
  5. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
  6. Minecraft: Story Mode
  7. WWE 2K16
  8. Grand Theft Auto 5
  9. Lego Dimensions
  10. Call of Duty: Ghosts

    • Will WilFredo Mendoza

      I know right!

    • 2mgBars

console bundles sold more for ghosts the game had a lot of hype leading to release then left a sour taste afterword lol.

      • GinsuVictim

Only for dumbasses who quit before giving it a chance. After patches and DLC, Ghosts became my second favorite.

        • 2mgBars

oh yea no doubt i really enjoy the game after patches, and the dlc maps were way better than the core maps. extinction mode was really good too

          • Mario Porfírio Souza

The only good thing in ghosts was extinction

Is this weakly chart in UK?

  • Deadly Ed

I knew it would be low, but not 9% low. I’d like to see the numbers for consoles sold, to see if they jumped up for the build up to BO3 release.

    • Imventing

this video needs to go viral, fucking retarded ass game with no toughness. i lose gun fights to fags. i give these fuckboys headshot when i shoot first cause their gun just so happen to jump at bullets would hit for a dome kill. head glitching is OP. They were almost perfect but they love to add in flaws.

      • Caitlyn the Tankswag

If they add in toughness then there’d be a crutch perk. Atm all the perks are balanced and its hard to choose between them, adding in toughness would end that balance so the games better off without it.

        • Imventing

toughness is replaceable with that perk that swap weapons faster as a perk 2.

          • Caitlyn the Tankswag

            You missed it.

          • Imventing

i didnt miss the point, If you wanna slay then toughness and an AR would be nice.. you wanna run and gun with a sub playing the objective then use the other perk 2. Everyone play style is different and people wanna “fix” something that was never broken. they want to “implement” toughness in the game when its still just as bad as it was in the beta.

        • Imventing

    • Siftblade

Yup. Most of the gunfights I lose are because of flinch. “Built in” yeah, sure lol.

  • Stefan Lang

“Call of Duty: Ghosts” oh the horrors. Bad game indeed but fun in it’s own way. Strikezone 24/7 was the only thing that kept me playing this game.

  • Delkinator

So if it was 91% for next gen and 9% on last gen, doesn’t that mean it didn’t sell even 1% on PC?

    • spartanelite

Nope this why the Cod devs don’t like giving support to them no point and no appreciation

      • fires

They got splitscreen support, map modding tools, and probably increased graphical settings… Its got shitty stuttering though.

        • Kobrah

          Split screen on PC? Whaat?

    • British Blaze

No because this doesn’t account for Steam sales where the majority of PC Gamers would purchase the game.

  • imBATMAN

does uk not play on pc?
    91% xbox 1 ps4
    9% 360 and ps3

    • Kobrah

“with only 9% of console sales”

      • imBATMAN

        elaborate ples

        • Kobrah

The article says the sale stats are only about console sales, they didn’t include PC sales

          • imBATMAN

            gotcha thanks for correcting me

          • Kobrah

            You’re welcome

  • FazalGaming

How is Ghosts (A 2 year old game) 10th?

  • jordanxbrookes

The fact that Ghosts is higher up than Advanced Warfare says it all. Here’s to an amazing next few years of Black Ops 3 and Call of Duty 2016.

    • Ryumoau

That doesn’t say anything to me, considering how lazy and boring Ghosts was. AW on a bad day is still more entertaining.

      • madshooterguy

Ghosts 2 won’t be the same as ghosts (hopefully)

        • Ryumoau

Yeah but Infinity Ward can’t call whatever their 2016 game is, ‘Ghosts 2’. No one will buy it, no matter how amazing the gameplay may look. The name Ghosts has too much stink on it. lol

          • Trippy Leatherface

          • Ryumoau

thanks for that pointless reply. 🙂

          • Trippy Leatherface

            You’re pointless

          • madshooterguy

AW was way worse imo cuz i literally had to go try hard every game and so much bs everywhere

    • It’s because it’s been sold for £5.00 in most major retailers.. what do you expect – people like a bargain…

  • Ryumoau

Whats the deal with CoD Ghosts creeping in the top 10 this late in its cycle? I thought more people would at least get AW if they needed an older title on Ps4/Xbox One.

    • It’s because it’s been sold for £5.00 in most major retailers.. what do you expect – people like a bargain.

      • Ryumoau

i suppose the game isn’t bad for that cheap. At least you can have alittle fun with the 4 hour campaign. lol

  • Wraith

I predict in about a year or two BO3 will start selling like crazy on PC after modders get a good train for custom zombies maps and modes made.

  • Aymen Skiken

someone explain how the fuck is ghosts in the top 10 xD

Someone had a huge influence at the UK

  • One Russian’s Revenge

“So tell me people, are you liking BO3, other than the certain usual problems and whatnot are you having fun, or after the hype died down did you start hating immediately, let me know with a comment, I’m genuinely curious about the mixed feelings (cause I know there are haters) of the CI community.”

    • guest

Honestly I would definitely not call myself a fan boy (maybe even a hater sometimes) but I have been genuinely liking it and I think that it is a great game.

At first ill admit I wasnt really loving it but then I tried the other content in the game and I got nuketown and it has been amazing. It has a lot of content that actually has a lot of replay value (at first I thought the free run was dumb and too easy but I ended up playing it for at least 3 hours just to get my highest time and I intend on playing it a lot more, plus it helps you truly master the movement system in the game.) Dead ops acarde 2 is so much fun and I never really liked the first one but I really like the 2nd one I have played that for a good 5 hours already Ive really enjoy shadows of evil so far. it is a nice challenge that zombies needs which I like.

For mp it has to be one of the bests in a while. My only complaints are that the lag gets bad sometimes but I feel that it will be fixed because its not netcode lag. The lag is also not as effecting to the good connections as previous cods which is definitely a plus.

Also there are a few balancing issues but I think for the most part the guns are fair (plz dont nerf the pharo I love it). However some killstreaks and specialist are useless or very weak compared to others.

The new movement system doesnt inspire chaos unlike aw it inspires a very controlled chaos that a skilled player can actually use to his/her advantage once again unlike aw. And unlike aw I havent notice a sbmm in place and the sbmm for teams is really interesting and might just work.(it seems that each team approximately gets the two or three best players on their team and the 2 or 3 worse so it evens out.)

I havent gotten the chance to play the campaign yet so thats that. I realize this was very long but I have noticed that it is almost impossible to get a non biased review and I feel like I can be one of the few exceptions. Hope it was helpful.

      • One Russian’s Revenge

“Very nice review I hope the experience gets better throughout the year!”

    • Caitlyn the Tankswag

I hated the beta but got the game anyway because of zombies.

I hated every second of the campaign, the cutscenes, the story, the gameplay and the characters were all shit and the co op also made it worse so i ended up ditching the 3 friends i was playing with and speedrun it to get trophies and nightmares. Worst cod campaign ive played, id rate it 3/10

Nightmares felt tacked on, the only thing i found fun was spinning the magic box but i ended up giving up on nightmares after 2 levels. I rate it 0/10

Multiplayer I’ve found fun so far but im not currently playing it because of obvious matchmaking issues like extra players and putting me in US lobbies. I would rate it 9/10 and the 3rd best cod multiplayer (behind cod4 and bo2), but until matchmaking is fixed ill rate it 6/10.

Zombies is fun as always, and the xp adds to the fun. Its unique and different, but until matchmaking is fixed ill have to rate it 8/10 (because of solo and private match), and will go up to 10/10 when matchmaking is fixed.

Overall id rate the game 8/10, ignoring the matchmaking issues

      • One Russian’s Revenge

“Nice, I hope the game gets better for you overall.”
