Activision Blizzard has announced their Q1 Financial Results today, and in the press release, has revealed that the in-game content sales in Call of Duty (which is basically the Supply Drops, DLCs, and more) is setting “new records” for the Call of Duty franchise.
Call of Duty is setting new records for in-game content sales. The franchise more than doubled the number of players who chose to purchase in-game content while maintaining average revenue per paying user.
Starting with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Activision introduced purchasable Supply Drops. In Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Activision brought COD Points, an in game currency that players can buy to get additional Rare Supply Drops in Multiplayer or Liquid Divinium in Zombies.
