Infinity Ward has announced a new mode coming to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare called Gesture Warfare.

Gesture Warfare will be available in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare starting Sept. 22 and ending on Sept. 25.

The score limit in this mode is 20. There are 9 gestures which players will randomly rotate through as they get a kill, similar to Gun Game.

Here’s some key points on how Gesture Warfare works, directly from Infinity Ward:

  • Every kill with a gesture (or by launching the Flick Black Hole) will cycle to another gesture, like Gun Game
  • Not only will you have gestures at your disposal, you’ll also be able to scavenge ammo after getting 1 kill per life. You’ll also have a lethal Throwing Knife. But why add weapons? We want you to play how you want, but with the option of using gestures and the normal combat you’re used to. Also, different gestures have different times to kill, so you’ll still be able to be effective when you get caught in surprise combat situations
  • How do you use the gestures? Two ways. You can use the D-pad, which most of you are already comfortable using or you can also use your tactical grenade button
  • Pro tip! Using the D-pad to kill with a gesture will circumvent the 5 second lethal delay at the start of a match!

Infinity ward is officially dead as a viable call of duty developer

    • Wetty Fap – Not The 3rd

      They’ve been dead since ghosts.

      • I’ve been telling people this but nah. Let’s give them a chance guys! ?

Looks great and all the haters can go and cry in the corner while the rest of us have fun.

  • ScOott

Lmao… they should really be let go by Activison, let them make a differnt game …

        I agree they are

    • ccrows

I just can’t root for people to get fired, but (IMO) current IW needs some help before making their next game…

      • ScOott

Come on ghosts and now this, they need more than help ..

        • SSR

          Did you play the campaign?

          • ScOott

Yh, if they made a differnt game, a good single player game i would buy it, i just think the online portion has been crap last two tries ..

        • RdJokr

This is a fun gamemode. I don’t see why you gotta bash it. MWR has Prop Hunt, and you don’t see anybody trashing that.

Here’s the thing Scottie, when I get mad at a COD game, I don’t hold back. Remember 2 years ago about how annoying I got about every single article about SBMM? lol

*sigh* There’s 2 HUGE problems that I have with “COD” over the the past 3 years.

          1 – (AW’s) SBMM setting

          2 – Gun Variants

Fortunately COD WWII doesn’t appear to have “Variants” (although we all know other guns will come down the road that aren’t cosmetic changes) and from the beta I didn’t see SBMM being an issue, but we won’t know until launch about that…

          ^ (cont)

I admit I’m not a huge fan of Ghosts or IW, but I don’t HATE IW like I did with AW. I hope no COD will ever be as thrash as AW. (although I did like the COD WWII Beta)

Also, before I go on, yes I’m a Treyarch fanboy. Especially with BO2 and BO3. (and for the newbies/lurkers, I started playing “COD” with COD2)

However, as much as I’m not a fan of (current) Infinity Ward, I really do feel that they need more help more than just laying off everyone.

^ See they don’t have a face. Their Community Manager, the average COD person doesn’t know. All the support and promotions are communicated by a faceless team. (Quite frankly, it’s been that way since Bowling left, and Bowling wasn’t even a dev)

^ So yeah, Infinity Ward badly needs a “Face” that the community will recognize, and relate to. They need to use the same MM that they currently have used in the past, and (IMO) they should NEVER use variants ever again.

Their next game is “boots” so that’s a good start.

Now they just need to keep it simple, and find that “GoTo Guy”. (Microsoft did it with Phil Spencer right?)

Finally, stop using gimmicks like Mike Meyers/Pred/Goofy Game modes, and hopefully that should be enough to get them back on track 3 years from now… JMO

          • ScOott

Lol cool story bro, that got me, they need to sort there ttk out in the next game, balance everthing, they seem incapable of that, doesnt matter if its boots on ground or not ..

  • As cheesy as it looks you’ve got to give it to them for trying something different. First Prop Hunt, now this. Seems like a fun way to keep people playing (Fracture was ok in BO3 but it got old pretty quick)

  • I want a refund if I can’t bash people to death with a basketball

  • ccrows

Adding the nuke attachment to every gun in the game, 1 killless for guns that already have it (like the NV4 Fallout), would have made a lot more sense.

That would have been an instant boost to the population with all that weapon variety to try out.

Whatever, I hope we never see weapon variants (or AW’s SBMM setting) in a COD game ever again… <_<

  • The9tailedgamer

I honestly like the fact that they’re doing this, cause it means they realize that this is a game, and are trying to make it fun

  • Qaotik

Warfare without guns is the best

  • ToonToons22

Looks rather interesting. One thing though – how can you kill somebody with a gesture? Was that feature there from the start or is this new?

    • The9tailedgamer

Killing with them wasn’t there from the start, thats exclusive to this mode, but the gesture system was

  • This game can die anytime now! 🙂

  • R3VIVE

I’m glad they don’t take the game too serious. Stuff like this and Prop Hunt are a really nice breath of fresh air. A nice alternative when you don’t wanna play super hard.
