Activision and Sledgehammer Games have officially announced the details on the first DLC Pack for Call of Duty: WWII, The Resistance. The Resistance DLC is out January 30 first on PS4, with other platforms release to follow.

The Resistance DLC includes 3 multiplayer maps, 1 new War Operation, and the next chapter of the Nazi Zombies experience — The Darkest Shore.

Multiplayer:

  • Occupation: In this remake of the classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer map Resistance, players battle through the streets and shops of German-occupied Paris during WWII. Long side streets encourage mid-range combat, with nearby homes and storefronts lending defensive positions for ambush and recovery.
  • Valkyrie: Located in the Masurian Woods, East Prussia, this map was inspired by The Wolf’s Lair, Hitler’s Eastern-front headquarters during Operation Barbarossa, the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union. This is a medium-sized map with gameplay focused around a dangerous center lane covered by multiple overwatch positions and mounted machine guns.
  • Anthropoid: Based in Prague, Czechoslovakia, this map is inspired by Operation Anthropoid, the famous assassination attempt on a high-ranking German officer during World War II. This map features a center lane divided by a river, with long-flanking paths that can be used by snipers for ranged attacks.

War:

  • Operation Intercept: Outside of St. Lo, France, our next War Mode experience leads us on an urban rescue mission to save Resistance fighters being transported by train. The first objective on the Allied side is freeing the fighters, followed by the destruction of key communication equipment, and ending with stopping a train.

Zombies:

  • The Darkest Shore: The Darkest Shore follows our heroes into the next chapter of their dangerous journey. Only days after the horrific disaster of Mittelburg, the crew has received intel that suggests Doktor Straub is on an island just north of Germany. Blanketed in fog, this island is surrounded by Nazi air and sea power – and crawling with the Undead. Marie, Drostan, Olivia, and Jefferson will need to battle all this and more to uncover the mysteries hidden within the Darkest Shore.

3 Multiplayer maps. Watch next year we get 2 maps.

    • I was thinking the same. It’s bad enough the game got release with not enough maps for game modes that is not war which now we’re only getting 3 for those another game modes smh.

    • BohooooCodTookMyMoneyz

What about the war mode map?

    • Subaru

Would of been nice if they attempted to cut down War maps and turn them into playable maps on every other multi gamemode

      • Zivillia

Watch Gangster Land only on this web site : RETROVISIONHD.BLOGSPOT.COM

    • Don’t forget, one of them is still a remake.
Even worse, we already got this map in IW as a remake.

  • TheAdversary

Two years in a row we get a remake of Resistance from MW3. I don’t get it. It wasn’t even one of the good maps from that game.

    • Nicolae Hermeneanu

Probably one of the best from all boots on the ground cod games.

      • TheAdversary

How? It’s a bigger lopsided version of Flak Tower. Spawns are still bad, there is no way to flank in that map unless everyone just tries to camp mid, and each spawn point has 4-6 vantage points that overlook parts of the central areas, which leads to camping on both sides. The only thing that was good about the map was the potential for the riot shield glitch lobbies in MW3.

        • reamerb .

          It’s a great map.

          • TheAdversary

It features the same design as maps like Mission, Hardhat, Arkaden, and Bootleg. It also does nothing with its design. It has 2 outer lanes, a defendable midsection, and features what can be considered fortresses for each spawn. It’s the most static of MW3’s racetrack maps. Good MW3 maps that could have been implemented for WW2 would be Seatown or Bakaara. Obviously SHG didn’t want to put in the effort to redesign those maps and plaster a few cross banners over one of the worst maps in MW3.

        • The Flash

i like it cause it was great for Infected along with pretty much all MW3 maps, and RIP its the one mode that is not yet in WW2 that would get me to play the game

        • Jon

          I loved that map

      • Miguel Delgado

        Really ? ?????

    • What about Ghosts and two different version of the same map(Dome from Mw3)?

      • TheAdversary

That was annoying, but I’d rather have two renditions of an alright map in a mediocre game than two of a mediocre map in two separately shitty CoD titles.

      • GinsuVictim

Unearthed (Dome) and Strike Zone play very different.

  • Shane Chunk English

We need some maps fighting through the hedgerows

  • Digital_Veil_

Uhhh… we just got a Resistance remake like 6 months ago. What the fuck

    • DiversifyTHAT

Ughh the game ur talkin about is dead as a crazy cat lady without her cats… it is now that we get a proper resistance remake.

      • TheAdversary

That’s not the point. Take it this way. One of the 3 multiplayer maps that is coming in this $15 package is a remake that was already done just recently. It’s also a cookie cutter deal, as there are many maps in MW3 that would serve to be much better implemented in this trainwreck of a game than Resistance. Maps like Seatown, Bakaara, and Lockdown would easily fit the gameplay for WW2, as Resistance uses the same boring design philosophy as Flak Tower, but with one side having an obvious elevation advantage. However, with more diverse maps like Bakaara or Seatown, SHG would have to put effort into redesigning those maps to fit the WW2 theme, when all they need to do for Resistance is a cheap pasting of a few WW2 props and Nazi banners. This remake is absolute laziness on SHG’s part.

        • DiversifyTHAT

Makes sense, especially the Seatown map would make great Afrika theater map.

        • Brian C

i feel the same way about the dlc pack. it feels completely lazy and overpriced for even modern dlc, but I don’t agree how you call this entire game a trainwreck. true I haven’t played cod since bo2 (I think) and i’m not saying I don’t have my own criticisms. I still think it’s a good game all the way through, from campaign to multiplayer to Nazis. still sad how cod is the cash cow for activision though; they know people will pay for this stuff so they get away with stuff like this.

  • Subaru

First few seconds in the video I’m like “Shut the fuck up talking and just show us the maps”

    • Jon

I was thinking the same thing reading your ignorant posts.

      • Subaru

Well that’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it, but it’s a shit one.

      • If you want to see the maps the first step is to watch the video, not read his post.

        • Jon

I watched the video before I even read this kid’s typical rant. I am looking forward to a few new maps.

          • Than your initial post doesn’t make much sense.

  • Subaru

Next chapter of zombies is the most terrifying they’ve brought to date? LOL the default one wasn’t terrifying anyway a few repetitive jumpscares

  • Subaru

Not really impressed after finishing that video, Sledgehammer imo can’t make maps for shit.

I thought Raven were the main ones working on War, why didn’t Sledgehammer put more time and effort into the core and more multiplayer maps, idc if they don’t “bring experiences from IRL iconic ww2 places” we don’t necessarily need that

  • Tested

Cool we get the maps that got removed from the game before launch so they can force people into buying them again.

  • hungryandrew

3 maps, wtf? Good thing I have Battlefield 1.

  • Joshwoocool

So let me get this right. The MW3 Map Resistance Got Remade in IW. Now it’s getting remade in WW2. So Two games in a row remaking the same map.

    • Cat hunter

what map was it in IW?

      • GinsuVictim

        Ember

      • Joshwoocool

Ember. It’s from the map pack that had attack of the radioactive thing

    • Buruck Obuma

most people who play WW2 didn’t play IW so its new to them, but i still understand your point.

    • Kelly Jackson

That’s not that uncommon several Black Ops 2 maps were reskins of earlier maps.

    • I was just thinking that shit. Acti is running outta steam. Can’t even bother to remake something like Arfica and reskin it as a small European village in the forest.

  • macspengo

Are we not going to talk about the guy in the background? He’s holding a gun that was in the game files. Just wanted to point it out, sense no one else is.

    • DiversifyTHAT

Its the Volkssturmgewehr, I saw it too.

  • LOL that trailer was hilarious… I’m talking about the candlelit background that half of the speakers are featured in which is supposed to be somewhat reminiscent of an old dark European castle library (nice attempt at mood setting!)… and then there were the multiple angles they shot the people in – I don’t care to see the side of your fucking heads, let alone the front of them LOL.

  • Miguel Delgado

Fix the hit detection it’s bad in hardcore

  • ToonToons22

Two remakes of the same map in a row? I think they chose that map simply because the name and setting fit and nothing else. Maps like Lockdown, Underground, and Arkaden would probably be better candidates for a remake.

  • Cougar24

Only 3 maps lol and one is just a remake. Good job SHG you really worked hard on this one. XD

  • Wayne Zechner

Seriously only 3 Mp maps and one is a remake. Love the game but the maps are boring as hell. Id rather see more mp maps and kill war mode all together. Sorry SHG but you dropped the ball on MP maps. Please include More maps to keep people playing this game!!

  • ojo

damn. just realized this isn’t fake… three new maps and one of them is a remake we got six months ago.

  • jimbo

at some point you have to realize; they had three years to work on this and could only come up with two new map ideas. the nine they included in ww2 were garbage. I have a feeling they don’t know how to make multiplayer maps. sad

  • Subaru

    Your mum

  • xcool22

this game is dead and bored..

  • Imventing

lmaoo thats a new map to me. i haven’t touched a cod the moment they introduced jetpacks. Idk whats the problem with this cod people complain about.

  • MaRico Spikes

Soo March 6th for Xbox One

  • Ha! Not even confident enough to remake maps from their own fucking game.
