Activision blocks Warzone Tracker App due to breach of terms and services

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 has seen a popular statistics tracker app get blocked due to a breach of terms and services.

The popular Overwolf statistics tracker app for Warzone has been blocked by Activision, with players no longer able to run the application when they play the Call of Duty battle royale.

Warzone exploded onto the video game world in 2020. It quickly became one of the most popular battle royale games globally, with millions of players playing to rack up eliminations and wins.

As with most multiplayer games, players enjoyed keeping track of their statistics when they were playing to see how they were doing and improvements they may make over time.

One of the most popular methods members of the community used to track their stats was the Warzone Tracker App from Overwolf and Tracker Network.

However, the start of Season 3 of Warzone has seen this particular tracker app officially blocked by Activision due to the app causing a breach of terms and services and no longer available for players to use when they are playing.

According to a report by COD Tracker, players using the Overwolf and Tracker Network Warzone app were greeted with the following message when they booted up the battle royale.

“A third-party application that goes against Call of Duty: Warzone terms and services has been detected on this computer.

To continue to enjoy the gameplay and to help preserve the competitive integrity of Call of Duty: Warzone, please close this third-party application and restart the game.”

Overwolf released a statement regarding the app’s blocking and stated that they are currently “in the midst of a good conversation with Activision at the highest levels.”

The developer also went on to state that they are currently removing support for Overwolf apps from Warzone, but “based on the feedback we received from Activision, I’m optimistic we’ll find a safe and sustainable way to resume support for the game,” said Overwolf.

Users of the Overwolf and Tracker Network Warzone app can fill out a survey and provide their thoughts on the application for Call of Duty: Warzone, which Overwolf will go on to share with Activision in the hope to restore the ability for the app to be used by players when they are playing.

Warzone devs announce they have removed Deployable Cover

The developers of Call of Duty: Warzone have announced they have removed the Deployable Cover Field Upgrade from the game for the time being.

Warzone Deployable Cover

Raven Software, the lead developers of Call of Duty: Warzone, have announced that they have removed Deployable Cover from the Call of Duty battle royale for the time being.

Field Upgrades are a kind of item that players have been able to use in battle since Call of Duty: Warzone first launched. These Field Upgrades could be found as floor loot and in supply boxes and provide various gameplay advantages for players who used them.

The Deployable Cover was one of the many Field Upgrades available for players to find and use in the first-person shooter until the developers of the fan-favorite game announced on May 11, 2021, would be taking the Warzone Deployable Cover out of the game.

Warzone Deployable Cover

Raven Software took to its official Twitter account and announced to the community that the studio had removed the Warzone Deployable Cover Field Upgrade from Supply Boxes and floor loot. The reasoning for removing this item was due to the studio wanting to “investigate an ongoing issue” with the Field Upgrade.

The developer added the removal of the Warzone Deployable Cover and its investigation of the issue with the item to the official Trello board for the franchise. The developers keep the community informed of what issues they are currently working on through this Trello board.

Now, Raven Software did not specifically say the issue with the item that caused them to decide to remove it from the Call of Duty battle royale.

However, members of the community discussed in response to the announcement that players were using it to get under the map in various areas of Verdansk ’84.

Glitch spots where players have been able to get under the map and in other areas not intended for players to enter have been a major problem with the game following the start of Season 3.

Raven Software may be looking to solve this problem at the spots where the Warzone Deployable Cover was being used to enter areas not intended for players to enter by removing it from the game for the time being.

We will update this piece with any new information regarding the removal of the Deployable Cover Field Upgrade when it is made available, and for more Warzone, stay tuned for future news and guides.

Black Ops Cold War player defeats Orda Zombies boss with only a Ballistic Knife

One Black Ops Cold War player was able to score a truly impressive victory over the Orda Zombies boss using only the Ballistic Knife weapon.

Cold War Zombies Orda Boss Ballistic Knife

Orda is the formidable Zombies boss that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players can fight on the Firebase Z map. One community member was able to take this monster down using only a Ballistic Knife to do so in an impressive fashion.

Bosses are some of the most exciting elements when it comes to Call of Duty Zombies, and Black Ops Cold War has one known as Orda, which can be fought on the Firebase Z map.

This Easter Egg boss is often used as a test of skill from Zombies players who see what interesting ways they can take down this enemy. This was the case for one member of the Black Ops Cold War Zombies community who utilized the unconventional Ballistic Knife weapon to defeat Orda shockingly.

Black Ops Cold War Ballistic Knife

The Ballistic Knife was added to Black Ops Cold War with the start of Season 3 and has become a popular weapon among players when it comes to pulling off highlight plays.

Elvivacious took this to the extreme when they upgraded the Ballistic Knife when playing on the Firebase Z map and proceeded to use it as their main weapon against the Orda boss.

What followed was an awe-inspiring display of damage, as elvivacious was able to take down the health of Orda and kill the boss in only a couple of seconds.

Utilizing the damage buff of the Ring of Fire field upgrade certainly helped in accomplishing this impressive feat. Still, there is no doubt that the majority of players would not believe you if you told them that using it with the Ballistic Knife could allow you to defeat Orda in mere seconds.

This feat was met with shocked reactions from other players, as they could not believe that elvivacious was able to take down Orda with only the Ballistic Knife in what seemed to be in the blink of an eye.
