Activision is not willing to share their plans for next-generation of consoles in terms of game prices as of now.

The company’s President, Rob Kostich, was asked during the Q2 earnings call about their next-gen pricing plans. He declined to comment, saying next-gen plans from the company will be announced officially soon.

And then finally I think on your last question was in regards to next-gen pricing, and so what I’ll say here is we’ll be sharing our plans soon, so I’m not going to share anything today.

Kostich says the company is excited about the next-generation hardware and excited for what it represents in terms of game development.

For now, we’re just very excited for the launch of the new generation hardware. We think it represents another strong leap forward in creating a really incredible entertainment and value for our fans as we look forward.

Activision’s Call of Duty 2020 title is expected to be a launch title for the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Some analysts believed the industry might shift to increase game prices for next-gen.

Take Two is the only company so far to increase game prices — saying NBA2K21 would be $70 for next gen, but said they’d look at price on title by title basis.
