Activision Blizzard completes buy back of stocks from Vivendi

Activision today confirmed that the company has completed the full purchase of 429 million stocks from Vivendi, making the company an independent company run by Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick and Chairman Brian Kelly.

“With the completion of this transaction we open a new chapter in the history of Activision Blizzard,” Mr. Kotick said. “We expect immediate shareholder benefits in the form of earnings-per-share accretion and strategic and operational independence.
