Adjustments coming to Armor in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout

Treyarch’s Studio Design Director has provided additional context on Twitter about some of the changes coming to Armor based on feedback in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode.

Alongside the changes mentioned for Cluster and Concussion grenades, there’s also more improvements coming to Armor to continue to make balance improvements to it in Blackout.

The first change for Level 3 Armor coming is that it will take 2 shards to repair 1 pip of health for Level 3 Armor, meaning more shards are required to fully repair Level 3 Armor.

Beyond just the changes to the repair system, Vahn has now confirmed as well that the protection (defense value) of Level 3 Armor will also be nerfed in the tuning balance, to better line it up with Level 1 and 2 Armor.

There’s no indication of when this update will be available in-game for players. The next big patch is scheduled to release soon with new Gauntlets for Zombies by the end of January.
