The previously Modern Warfare Al-Raab Airbase and Drainage maps teased as coming to the game back in April have finally made an appearance with the new game settings update.

After players have been fairly unhappy with the state of Modern Warfare as of recent, feeling as if Warzone updates have been causing various bugs and glitches.

Apart from an unreleased SMG, the CX-9, making unexpected appearances in Modern Warfare’s multiplayer, it seems players have actually received some new content for the game, in the form of two new multiplayer maps.

The two new maps are Al-Raab Airbase and Drainage, one for 6v6 and one for 2v2 Gunfight and other smaller team-based modes.

These maps were temporarily available back in April, with the promise that they would return. Now with the recent game settings update, they have finally released.

Al-Raab Airbase

Modern Warfare Al-Raab Airbase

Al-Raab Airbase is a new multiplayer map that players can now enjoy in Modern Warfare’s multiplayer. This map is for 6v6 game modes and may also be familiar to those who have played the campaign mission, Proxy War.

This map is relatively larger than CoD’s standard 6v6, with plenty of verticality and long lanes to snipe down.

Drainage

Drainage is the new Gunfight map, with the option to also be available for other smaller game modes.

It is quite large for a Gunfight map and features a bridge as its standout feature, and there’s a ton of debris on the ground for players to use as cover.

This is great for those still playing the game, which was released back in 2019, as many prefer the gameplay to the latest Black Ops Cold War release.

Hopefully, Modern Warfare continues to keep Raven Software‘s attention, and who knows, perhaps we may see more content for the game in the future.
