Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Post Launch Content is available first on PS4

Activision and PlayStation has announced that their partnership for Call of Duty is continuing in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. All Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 post launch content, including maps, specialist, and seasonal events will available first on PlayStation 4.

We are excited to announce that in our continued partnership with PlayStation, following the launch of the highly-anticipated game, PS4 players will get to play new Black Ops 4 content first on PS4. This means all the playable content coming to the Black Ops universe after the game’s release will come first to PS4, including new specialists and maps, as well as seasonal events.

In a separate post, Activision has confirmed that all Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 post launch content will be available 7 days early on PS4, which is different from the previous 30 days early time frame that existed.

Speaking of content, PlayStation 4 players will get to play new content first on PS4 by seven days.

This means all the playable content coming to the Black Ops universe following launch will land seven days early on PS4, including new specialists and maps, as well as seasonal events. After seven days, all new playable content will come to other platforms.

Treyarch provided the first details on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s post launch plans in a blog post yesterday, stating that there is plans for Black Ops 4’s post launch season to be the most active post launch season in the franchise’s history.

The PlayStation deal with Activision started in 2015 with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. No end date for the partnership has been announced. The partnership includes early DLC access, marketing rights, early betas, and a esports partnership as the 2019 CWL season is once again presented by PS4.
