All movement changes in Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 Season 3: Sliding, diving, more
Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 introduces a host of changes across both games, and fans will be pleased to see that devs have addressed a number of concerns when it comes to movement.
Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 is one of the biggest updates to hit both games to date. Multiplayer fans are being treated to a selection of new maps, while battle royale players have a fresh Gulag to learn.
The devs have introduced a number of major gameplay changes, such as Gulag Entry Kits, which will completely alter the flow of matches.
One of the biggest complaints since Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 launched is the lack of movement compared to past titles. Luckily, the Season 3 update has brought changes to solve some of the problems in that particular area.
In the Season 3 update patch notes, the devs explained: “Season 03’s changes add more responsiveness to movement and the fluidity of combat.”
Players will notice the following change to diving, sliding, and mantling in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3:
- Dive
- Diving fire delay reduced
- Slide
- Sliding speed slightly increased
- Mantle Assist Improvements
- Improved the system that would allow players to mantle over or through objects such as windows.
Players have long since expressed their desire to see the sliding speed increased across both titles, with the majority of fans claiming that the movement speed is simply too slow.
The overall sliding speed is now slightly faster than in Season 2, which opens up the door for players to outmaneuver their opponents, especially at close range. On top of this, the time it takes to fire after performing a dolphin dive has been reduced, while mantling has been polished to make it feel smoother and more precise.
All in all, these relatively small tweaks should make getting around the maps in both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 feel more fluid, and reward players for smarter movement.
Only time will tell how these changes are received by the community, but there’s no doubt that many players will feel like they are a step in the right direction.
