All the best Olympus landing spots in Apex Legends Season 7

Olympus is the giant new map in Apex Legends Season 7. Here are its best landing spots.

Apex Legends Season 7 has a brand new battle royale map called Olympus. This floating citadel is a marvel of grand scale. Due to the location’s enormous size and great variety of zones to explore, we have decided to go over the best landing spots on it.

The latest Apex Legends update has brought along a ton of exciting new content for you to play through. Olympus is something fans have been waiting for since it was alluded to several updates ago and now it’s finally here in Season 7. This map is a giant floating city with many different places of interest spread out all over its massive layout.

Some of these zones will have more loot, weapons and players than others. For this reason, you should pick where you decide to land very wisely. We found these four locations to be the best landing spots on Olympus.

Rift Aftermath

As the name implies; this location is marked by a giant swirling rift. This giant ball of darkness is one of the most notable spots on the entire map because of its unique aesthetic, as well as the rift’s unique ability.

When you’re done looting the area for weapons and other items, you can jump through the energy ball in order to teleport to one of three possible locations completely at random. This can prove very useful if you find yourself in a tough spot and need to get away fast.

It is because of these reasons that this place will most likely become a popular spot for players to visit so be ready for a fight!

Bonsai Plaza

This location is being called the Skull Town Of Olympus by players everywhere. This location is tightly packed with narrow corridors that make it ideal for close range battles. It’s also one of the richest locations in terms of collectable loot.

You will often find yourself competing with other players to reach the Reverie Lounge first. This is the area on the Bonsai Plaza that has the best guns and loot. You can find it with in the upper levels of the location. This makes the plaza a very hectic area.

Despite the obvious high risk of encountering tons of players in one concentrated spot; we still strongly recommend this place as a landing zone. It’s a high risk/high reward scenario.

The Bonsai Plaza

If you’re not looking forward to encountering many players in one location and battling for your life then Hydroponics just might be up your alley. This spot is relatively quiet and not many players will land here. You’d think this means that there is nothing noteworthy about this but that’s not entirely true.

It turns out that this location has a lot of high tier loot. Collect some items and get yourself geared up before proceeding to the nearby locations such as Elysium. This suits a more relaxed start before you charge into battle.

Velvet Oasis

This area is marked by two large skyscrapers and can be found in the middle of the map. The Oasis has a lot of great loot and top-tier weapons. Once you get here, you should head to the aquatic café if you want the really good stuff.

You can collect some gold guns and then take the fight to the north or south. Clear the area of enemies first and then focus your fury on anyone unfortunate enough to cross your path along the way.

The Velvet Oasis.

That about covers all the best Olympus landing spots in Apex Legends Season 7. This map may seem intimidating at first but you should make that your incentive to explore and gear up! There may be even more ideal locations for landing across this floating citadel so be sure to find them all!

Apex Legends dev reveals Season 7’s most popular legends

An Apex Legends developer has revealed the top five most-picked legends in Season 7, and where new legend Horizon places.

Apex Legends Senior Game Designer Daniel Klein has revealed the five most-played legends in Season 7.

Season 7 of Apex Legends added a new legend ‘Horizon’ to the roster. She is capable of manipulating gravity and creating Black Holes. With every new season, the new legend will be a popular pick at first. If that character’s abilities don’t fall into the META, their popularity will decrease over time.

Horizon, however, is still in the top five most popular three weeks into the Season.

Respawn Senior Game Designer Daniel Klein appeared on The Third Party: An Apex Legends Podcast, where he revealed players’ favorite legends in Season 7.

Top 5 Legends

The top 5 most played Legends, in order, are as follows:

Wraith has been a popular choice since the launch of Apex in 2019. She is part of the base game, so you don’t need to pay to play as her. This offensive Legend is capable of teleporting behind enemies to flank, and she is even capable of being invincible for a short duration.

Klein said there was in “interesting situation” with Bloodhound. He has a very high pick-rate, being the second most popular, but has a low win-rate. So although players enjoy playing as him, he’s not necessarily the most effective legend. He is capable of tracking enemies footsteps and revealing their location.

Horizon is the newest playable character in Apex Legends. Although three weeks have passed since her introduction, she is still the third most-picked legend. Klein said it’s likely she will settle into her place as either the fourth or fifth highest picked.

Klein revealed that Octane is always picked often. “Octane doesn’t win a lot of games but he is one of the most picked legends to play in the game by far,” said Klein.

Octane is the fastest of the characters, being able to use an adrenaline stim shot and throw a bounce pad on the ground to leap long distances. “Fast is fun,” said the podcast host.

Lifeline is another legend who is available for free in the base game. Her Passive and Tactical abilities are great assets to any squad. She is able to deploy her D.O.C Heal Drone to revive teammates for her, and the drone can also provide healing on the fly.

This list is likely to change with future updates, where legends are often rebalanced and reworked, and a new META forms.

Apex Legends dev addresses glitch deleting Clubs

Apex Legends has been kicking players from their own clubs, but a developer has confirmed Respawn is on the case.

A frustrating glitch in Apex Legends is kicking players from their own clubs, but the devs are working on a fix.

Season 7 of Apex Legends introduced Clubs. These are social hubs where you can meet and squad up with other players. You can either create your own club or join an already established one. Finding a squad to team up with is now easier than ever.

Players have been encountering a glitch where they are being randomly removed from clubs – even from ones they have created.

Clubs being deleted

Reddit user ‘ScalpedAlive‘ reported being kicked from their own club. “I started a club, snagged a great name, and after today’s update it says I got kicked by the owners of the club,” they wrote. “When I try to rejoin it says my EA account on another platform was used to already join the club.”

They weren’t alone in this problem, with several players taking to social media to report their clubs being deleted.

DotEsports writer Pedro Peres encountered the same problem. After restarting the game, Peres was added back to his Club but users are continuing to report the problem.

“Several players are reporting that they were removed from their club by the admins, even if THEY were the admins,” he tweeted. “This is probably a major bug with Apex and I know Respawn will push out a fix for it ASAP.

Peres reported the problem to Respawn designer Chad Armstrong. The developer responded, saying “Thanks for letting me know. We’re looking into this now.”

If your Club has been deleted, it’s currently a lottery of whether you’ll get it back. Clubs are a long-awaited feature for Apex Legends, so with Respawn on the case, it’s likely this will be resolved soon.

Respawn confirm more changes coming to Wraith in Apex Legends Season 8

Apex Legends season 8 will fix up the problems with Wraith.

Respawn has been changing up Wraith ever since her debut in Apex Legends. This is because of the various balancing issues that the character has suffered throughout her time in the game. Now, it seems that Season 8 will feature her final shift.

Wraith has gone through many changes throughout her time in Apex Legends. She has a history of being either too powerful or having broken hitboxes, and the developers have to repeatedly “fix” her. She’s still a popular pick for players and that hasn’t changed in Season 7.

Senior game developer Daniel Klein hinted at more changes for Wraith during an interview on the Third Party podcast. They asked him about Respawn’s plans for Season 8 and he jokingly suggested taking Wraith out of Apex Legends altogether.

Then he went on to elaborate on Respawn’s plans to stop tinkering with her kit from this point.

“I don’t want to hit her kit any more,” he said. “We’ve pushed that to the breaking point where it’s barely still fun, but the extremely wind-up on her tactical — as much as it was necessary — it puts the ability more into the camp of cerebral power rather than satisfying in the moment power.”

“With Wraith, our approach is going to be very similar to Pathfinder. We’re going to take a look at her hitboxes and see how much wiggle room we have there. With Pathfinder, it turned out that we had so much… that was a 20% increase in hitbox size.”

It’s clear that the devs will focus on fine-tuning her hitboxes by going the same route they did with Pathfinder’s changes in November’s Season 7 update. However, Klein is concerned that they may have nerfed Wraith too much.

He stated that he hopes to be able to buff the Voidwalker after the changes have been implemented but they haven’t started yet.

“Nothing is guaranteed yet, we haven’t started work yet. I’ve asked one of our technical artists to take a look at it. Whenever he gets around to it, we will know more.

“My earnest hope is that we can bring her under control with just hitbox changes, and then maybe even look at ways at making her more in-the-moment fun again, and find a balance point between her tactical now and what it used to be.”

So far there is no certainty that these fixes will be successful in making Wraith more balanced. We do know that things will definitely change when Apex Legends Season 8 comes around and your experience with the character will feel new.
