Apex Legends 2.04 update patch notes: Death Totem Arenas fix, Vantage voice line clean up, more
Respawn Entertainment have released the Apex Legends 2.04 update patch notes, bringing some much-needed bug fixes to the game.
Apex Legends Season 14 has had a pretty smooth journey so far, apart from the odd Loot Bin glitch, the main issue players have been having is with the ranked system, as people have discovered an exploit to gain easy Predator badges.
With that said, there have been less prominent issues that not every player would have come across, such as Revenant’s Death Totem not working as intended in the Arenas mode.
However, with the Apex Legends 2.04 update in Season 14, the devs have brought fixes and updates for various Legends and aspects of the game.

This patch brings fixes to the game crashing Seer heartbeat bug, which was cutting games short for players. It also brings a fix to Vantage voice lines stacking over each other, which may satisfy those who aren’t a fan of her quips.
Here are the full Apex Legends 2.04 update patch notes from Respawn:
- Game crashing after Seer’s heartbeat detects Mirage decoy
- Death Totem not working on Dropoff in Arenas
- Vantage voice lines stacking up in certain gameplay instances
- Negative challenge values in match summary
According to Apex Legends leaker KralRindo, the update brought more changes that weren’t included in Respawn’s patch notes, including Tactical and Passive changes for the Season 13 Legend, Newcastle.
These hidden changes also include a small ranked change. Unfortunately the leaker “can’t see what exactly changed,” but advises that players take these as “small bug fixes.”
