Apex Legends has enjoyed a solid resurgence with Season 7, and Season 8 is already on the horizon. 2020 is behind us, but Respawn Entertainment has already tried to get the year off to a hot start with the new Fight Night Collection event and lots of new updates and fixes.
“2020 is last year’s news. Let’s start talking about 2021, beginning with our plans for the Fight Night Collection Event, coming January 5th.”
There is plenty of content to come for aspiring Apex Legends in the making, and we have all the information for you below.
Apex Legends Fight Night Collection
AIRDROP ESCALATION TAKEOVER
“With this update, we’re testing a new approach to LTMs. Instead of launching as its own playlist, the Airdrop Escalation LTM will be a “takeover” of the normal “Play Apex” game mode. It’s classic Battle Royale, but with way, way more supply drops. Immediately after you leave the Jumpship, you’ll find a cluster of four supply drops across the map. During each round, more will drop—they land at the same speed as Lifeline’s Care Packages.”
“Each supply drop contains a fully-kitted weapon of different tiers, depending on the round. For example, Round one’s drops feature level two kitted weapons while Round four’s drops include red armor and crate weapons. As with regular fully-kitted weapons, you can’t break them down or swap their attachments onto other weapons. And, of course, regular weapons and weapons will still appear as ground loot.”
PATHFINDER TOWN TAKEOVER
“Entering the ring will prevent any player from using their weapons and any of their abilities. The only way to beat someone is via a bit of fist o’ cuffs. Oh, and don’t worry about any outside ring interference—no outside projectiles, grenades, or abilities can penetrate the ring’s force field.”
“Punchout the loot balls contained within the ring to scoop up some rare loot. Just remember you can’t use it until you leave!”
FIGHT NIGHT COLLECTION EVENT AND REWARDS TRACK
“The Fight Night Collection Event brings another set of 24 themed, limited-time cosmetics to Apex Legends.
All 24 items will be available through direct purchase (for Apex Coins or Crafting Metals) and in Event Apex Packs for the entire duration of the event.
Each Event Pack will come with one event item and two non-event items at the following drop rates:
Each pack contains:
- One Event Item: 50% Event Epic, 50% Event Legendary
- One Non-Event Item: 70% Rare, 20% Epic, 10% Legendary
- One Non-Event Item: 70% Rare, 20% Epic, 10% Legendary
If you collect all 24 event items, you’ll get the Gibraltar Heirloom.
After the event ends, the Gibraltar Heirloom will become available via heirloom crafting.
As with previous events, this event brings a rewards track with all-new earnable cosmetics:
You can earn 1000 points per day and challenges refresh daily. The challenges also stack with your Battle Pass, so you can complete both at once.”
“After having been previously decommissioned, MRVNs are now programmed to reward Legends in the arena. Only appearing in Olympus, these friendly guys will give you loot after interacting with them. They’ll produce tiered loot equal to what is shown on their screens.
- White sad face = Common level 1 loot
- Neutral blue face = Rare level 2 loot
- Pleased purple face = Epic level 3 loot
- Very Happy yellow face = Legendary Level 4 loot
Pick up your loot and thank your friendly MRVN. Or, if you’re feeling toxic, shoot them. When you do, they may drop their arm for you to store in your inventory. Taking this to another MRVN with the missing piece may get you a reward. Hi-five?”
- Amped Cover: Decreased cooldown from 30 seconds to 20 seconds
- Nox Gas Trap: Decreased cooldown from 25 seconds to 20 seconds
- Decreased damage from 22 to 20.
- Spread out 3rd/4th pellets to decrease max range of 4 pellet hits (was +/- 7.5 degrees, now +/- 10)
- Reserve bullets increased from 175 to 210
QUALITY OF LIFE
- Ultimate Accelerants can now be used without opening your inventory. If your ultimate is not currently available, just press the button (or buttons, on a controller) to activate it, and you’ll pull out any stored Accelerant in your inventory and use it automatically.
- When in a lobby, if a party member leaves your lobby for any reason, all party members will be marked as “not ready.” This should stop accidental launches into a match when your buddy dipped out for a second.
- The fabled “Mark All As Seen” button has been added. Click this to remove the pesky (I mean helpful) red dots.
- Pinging the nearest respawn beacon (from spectate) will now always ping the nearest beacon unless you don’t have enough time to use it before the ring closes over it, instead of defaulting to the nearest beacon in the next safe ring.
- We now show you how many treasure packs are needed to acquire the next comic page. This should just make it easier to people who are chasing the new bit of lore to know how far away they are.
- Caustic should now smash the door with his Heirloom hammer instead of his leg, if available.
- We added a small bit of information to the Find Friends box to describe a situation where your friend might not be findable because of their EA account settings.
- Fixed an issue with Bloodhound’s UI disappearing after interacting with Horizon’s Tactical.
- Fixed an issue with Wraith’s Portals getting destroyed by the Trident.
- Fixed an issue with Bangalore’s missile passing through hatch doors when they are closed in Worlds Edge.
- Fixed an issue with Mirage’s decoys not making footstep sounds.
- Fixed an issue with Hack consuming two Vault keys if two keys were in Crypto’s inventory.
- Fixed an issue with Hack getting stuck within the Trident when deployed as a passenger and the trident is on a ramp.
- Fixed an issue causing other players to teleport with Revenant if they punch Revenant when he has very little health.
- Fixed an issue that didn’t allow Revenant to deploy the Death Totem while on the Trident.
- Fixed a lot of windows in World’s Edge that prevented Loba’s bracelet from passing through.
- Fixed an issue that allowed Rampart to place Sheila while in the Phase Runner.
- Fix an issue where UI elements stayed on screen after using Sheila.
- Fixed an issue with Horizon’s abilities not affecting Lifeline’s DOC and Crypto’s drone.

Who is the most popular Apex Legends character? Season 10 pick rates
Apex Legends Season 10 is well into its stride, but who has dominated the pick rates for Season 10 of Respawn’s battle royale?
Season 10 now has many Apex Legends characters in, arguably, its biggest-ever season. But who has the top Season 10 pick rates in Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale shooter?
Apex Legends hit the ground running when it launched with eight different characters to choose from in its rival battle royale offering. The game suffered a notable lull when Call of Duty: Warzone launched, but with many players jumping ship to Respawn’s game, Apex Legends Season 10 is quite possibly the biggest ever!
There are now a whopping 18 different Legends to choose from, giving players a headache before each game. The newest one is Seer, and after a dominating start to Season 10, the 1.78 update saw him receive a significant nerf. This completely changed the game’s pick rates and made the Season 10 meta open again.
Between the Arenas mode and Ranked Leagues to compete in, thousands of matches have already been logged in Season 10, and we will break down and find the Legends with the highest pick rates in Season 10.
Apex Legends Season 10 pick rate ranked list
This is our complete list of every character pick in Apex Legends, and we’ve ranked them in order to let you know which are favored more.
Here is every Apex Legends pick rate in Season 10 ranked, as of October 15, 2021, according to Apex Legends Status:
- Octane – 14.2%
- Wraith – 11.6%
- Bloodhound – 11.3%
- Pathfinder – 9.1%
- Lifeline – 7.1%
- Valkyrie – 6.3%
- Bangalore – 4.9%
- Caustic – 4.7%
- Horizon – 4.6%
- Loba – 4.3%
- Fuse – 3.5%
- Seer – 3.4%
- Gibraltar – 3.4%
- Mirage – 3.2%
- Revenant – 3%
- Rampart – 2.2%
- Wattson – 1.7%
- Crypto – 1.5%
Most picked legends in Apex Legends Season 10
5. Lifeline – 7.1%
Just clocking in at the number five spot is Lifeline. Everyone’s favorite healer takes up 7.1% of the Apex Legends’ picks, and for good reason too.
One of the big things that separates Apex Legends from other battle royale games is its lenience towards reviving – specifically Knockdown Shields. It provides lots of time to revive teammates and Lifeline can take advantage of this.
Her Drone of Compassion (or D.O.C) abilities can heal players over time and even revive them without needing Lifeline to do it. Her Care Package Ultimate is a bit weak, but overall, she is a great addition to any team.
4. Pathfinder – 9.1%
Pathfinder has slowly climbed his way up the rankings and gain many fans to become a part of Apex Legends’ top five picks at 9.1% and counting.

As a Recon class, Pathfinder simply excels in movements and traversing the game’s various maps. His Grappling Hook and Zipline Gun are simply invaluable assets that will help any team in a pinch – either because of the circle or a third-party situation.
3. Bloodhound – 11.3%
Again, with the influx of new Apex Legends players, Bloodhound is a great character to use for new players in Season 10.
With nearly a 12% pick rate at the beginning of Season 9, Bloodhound has dipped a bit to 11.3% but still remains the third-most picked Legend. Their pick rate is rising slowly thanks to the alterations to Seer, meaning that Bloodhound is the top Recon class to use in Apex Legends.
Their tracking tools and skills are incredible, and the fleet of foot provided by their Beast of the Hunt Ultimate is priceless. His 2nd place ranking has been helped largely by the Bloodhound Chronicle event going on at the moment.
2. Wraith – 11.6%
Another starting legend, Wraith possessed a very high pick rate of nearly 14% during Season 9 and is still currently well-selected backed at 11.6%.

Wraith’s stand-out features are her ability to get out of trouble very quickly – teammates included. Her abilities allow her to sense danger, become temporarily invulnerable, and create portals to escape predicaments. It’s easy to see why Wraith continues to be an absolute fan-favorite in Apex Legends Season 10.
1. Octane – 14.2%
The king is back on his throne as the game’s number one pick. Although his pick rate isn’t quite in the 20% region like in Season 9, his still undisputedly the primary selection, and rising, at 14.2%.
Aside from his amusing quips, he is the perfect balance of offense and defense. Despite being regarded as an offensive Legend, Octane can greatly increase his sprint speed which is useful for both attack and running away. But most Octane users thrive on his Launch Pad Ultimate which can send him, and friendly players, high up into the air.
You can use this to sneak attack players, reach high-up spots for beacons, escape battles, or use it as a way to get back into the playing zone.
That covers all the picks in Apex Legends Season 10. As always, buffs and nerfs will come and go throughout the season, affecting the game’s meta, and subsequently, Legend pick rates.
We’ll be sure to keep this updated regularly so you can stay on top of the in picks, and don’t forget to check out our tier list of every Apex Legends weapon. Also, read about the potential incomings in Apex Legends Season 11.

Apex Legends devs respond to frustrating “oversight” with Big Maude shop
The Apex Legends developers have responded to fan complaints about an oversight in the shop at the Big Maude POI.
Apex Legends players noticed a particularly frustrating oversight from the Vend-it machines in the new Big Maude POI in Season 10, and Respawn has responded to their complaints.
While these machines can be pretty helpful, players have noticed that the weapons they get from them can be stolen by teammates, leaving the player empty-handed after spending their Crafted Materials.
Now, Respawn has addressed this issue.
Reddit user dstay10 posted about this problem in the Apex Legends subreddit. The clip they posted showcased their teammate stealing the fully-modded R-99 that they crafted in one of Big Maude’s Shop machines.
“The replicator delay should work at Big Maude too,” they said. This led to many responses from other users who consider this to be a huge omission by the developers since it shouldn’t be possible for your teammates to steal your crafted weapons.
This problem hasn’t escaped the developers’ attention. After this thread went up, Respawn’s Live Technical Designer, who goes by ‘exgeniar,’ reassured fans that they would be looking into the problem.
“This feels like an oversight, I’ll bring it up to the design team,” exgeniar said.
The machines at Big Maude’s shop are similar to the in-game Replicators, but those don’t have the problem of players being able to steal their teammate’s weapons. Hopefully, Respawn will ensure that the Vend-It machines work just as smoothly.
While we don’t know when the fix will come precisely, it’s reassuring to know that the developers are at least aware of the problem and are investigating it. Hopefully, the fix will come in the next update patch.

Apex Legends Season 11: Every teaser so far
Respawn Entertainment have been teasing many aspects of Season 11 recently, so let’s take a look at the hints for what to expect.
Apex Legends Season 10 is nearing its end, with the season officially culminating on November 2. With that being said, there have been many teasers for Season 11, so let’s take a look at them all.
Apex Legends Season 10 has had mixed reviews due to server issues, but the developers are looking to win the players back once the fan-favorite LTM Shadow Royale is brought back during the Monsters Within Event.
Having said that, fans have a lot to look forward to when it comes to Season 11, which has been hinted at and teased in-game for some time now.
Apex Legends Season 11 teasers
Olympus parachute pod
As well as many leaks concerning Season 11, such as the Wattson Heirloom, new map, Legend, there have also been some cheeky hints put in by Respawn that may validate these leaks.
For starters, Respawn put in a brand new parachute pod just outside of Gardens on Olympus when the evolution Collection Event dropped. This pod isn’t hard to miss either. It’s a pretty big teaser to add and hints at what players can expect next season in terms of lore and potentially the new map.
Players recently got an update to this parachute pod, which is supposedly going to continue giving hints towards Season 11 right until Season 10’s end.
The most recent update to the teaser added more dialogue and details for Bangalore when she interacts with the laptop sitting on one of the beds inside the pod, referencing her brother who went MIA, as well as an incoming storm which many believe is a teaser for the future map that is codenamed in the game’s files as “storm point.”
Further, many also believe the new Arenas map called “Encore” introduced in the Monsters Within update is also a hint at Season 11’s new map.
Those familiar with game development will know that game designers will often reuse assets to save time. The vibe is very tropical in the Encore map, with palm tree-like plants scattered across the map and sandy terrain.
This theme correlates to the tropical one many dataminers have suggested the new map for Season 11 will have.
Could Ash be the Season 11 Legend?
Lastly, something has been going on with Ash’s hologram in Arenas, as players can see it glitching out way more than it used to. This could be because Ash is glitching in and out of her human form and may continue doing so until she is introduced as the Season 11 Legend.
Remember, we have also had some pretty detailed leaks concerning Ash’s abilities as a Legend, and it is expected for her to become one soon, so why not Season 11?
That’s all for the current in-game teasers for Season 11. For more, make sure you check out our guide on how to complete the Monsters Within event challenges.
